Maddison in Blackpool

Went yesterday for a catch up with a friend and her daughter, after eating my friend needed the toilet and as she’s in a wheelchair her daughter went with her, they came back appalled as there isn’t a toilet fit for a disabled person and said they had a struggle, I find it very strange how a smart cafe bar like this does not cater for disabled customers as getting in and out of the front door there is also no ramp.

I love this place. As locals we have been many times over the years and have never been disappointed. This visit we came with family on a Saturday lunchtime. The place was packed but we got a table quickly. Staff are amazing, so attentive and polite. The four of us had a mixture of food, from omelettes, baked potatoes, bacon sandwich and a toastie and all four of us were more than happy with our selection, plus three of us had dessert. The lemon meringue pie was delicious and granddaughter had a slice of the chocolate fudge cake, again well pleased with our choices. As the weather was so warm, there was plenty of seating outside and the sliding doors were open. This place is run so well, excellent staff who know what they are doing and certainly understand good customer service.

Staying around the corner for the airshow and needed something to set us up for the day ahead. Maddison's English breakfast was perfect for hubby, scrambled egg on toast was a beast of a portion. Both did the job. Throw a latte and pot of tea in too change out of 25 quid.

Another lovely meal at Maddisons! Went for tea with my sister and niece. We had different meals… all cooked to perfection. Braised beef so tender. We waited a short while after ordering but knew that our food was being freshly prepared. Took time out for a cheeky Prosecco. Just the job after a days work. Served by Paul and Shannon. Polite friendly and efficient. Cannot fault this bar/cafe. Highly recommend

Our go to place for lunch in Bispham. Consistently excellent 👌 good menu choices with plenty of homemade options - steak pie always a favourite as tastes just like how my mum made it! The atmosphere is always relaxed and happy. The staff are great - can never do enough for you. Would recommend and will definitely be going back 😊

Very overpriced for ingredients on the sandwiches, the prawns I had were in a very weak rose Marie sauce . Coleslaw was in a mini pot about a teaspoon full it but was cheap and acidic not worth giving t b h salad was ok and crisps were cheap and plain . Hubby had BLT with the same extras that he said he’d had a lot better in other establishments . Don’t think we will be returning any time soon .

Amazing place. The quality of the food is fantastic. Staff very attentive snd helpful. Very professionally run. Was a wonderful experience. We will be regulars from now on as just moved to the area. So happy to found this wonderful esterie.

terrible service ordered a jacket potato with beans and cheese which was 7.50 what a rip off but anyway jacket potato small i spoonful of beans and a very small scattering of cheese when i complained at till she just smiled and didnt comment dont go go further up the road to somewhere else wont ever go again my advice DONT GO

Service was quick, but none of the young ladies smile at all obviously not happy when busy , but make them unapproachable and wouldn’t come back at all , the waiter male with glasses was smiling but not any of the young lady waitresses weren’t happy to be there , need to get a job somewhere else or try to at least smile at there customers We only had a hot drink , but would need to talk to there workers about it very poor to see no one smiling at all

Came to Maddisons for an evening meal. I wasn't that hungry so I decided to have the pate starter as a main course. The pate was listed as chicken liver on the menu but in fact it was pork and chicken. I didn't mind that but people might have if they didn't eat pork. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the prices were reasonable. Decent sized menu and also a large specials board.

I've just been spoilt. I've got so used to the portion controlled, cooked in a plastic bag type of rubbish food served up by the chain owned pubs and restaurants, I'd forgotten what good home cooked food tasted like. Well, my first visit will not be the last. No wonder it was so busy! Everything was delicious and the staff so pleasant and caring. So pleased my daughter introduced me to Maddisons, I will now be a regular customer.

Brilliant place food is really good hot and good portions. Staff are really nice very good with children. Nothing too much trouble even though we were last in at night no rush. Brilliant place

Visited at the weekend on an impromptu trip to Bispham whilst in Blackpool. We saw this little cafe was still open although it said closing at 6.30 but they kindly offered to stay open a while longer. Couldn’t fault any of the meals, they were cafe meals rather than restaurant meals but for the price they were brilliant. Lovely staff too. Unfortunately couldn’t squeeze a cake in but they looked beautiful. Would highly recommend if you want to escape the noise of Blackpool….

We always go to Maddison’s for breakfast when we’re in Blackpool, it never disappoints! We had tea & a piece of the best lemon meringue pie I’ve had for a while on Friday when we arrived as we were a bit early to get in our hotel. We had a lovely full English on Saturday with a pot of tea for two, all fresh & hot. On Sunday I had beans on brown toast & my friend had a bacon barm. Both very nice. We resisted taking a slice of lemon meringue home (but it was a struggle)! All the cakes looked fab! Would definitely recommend.

Poor service, wrong order and either extremely expensive or we were charged for things we didn't have. Won't be going in again.

Popped in for an afternoon snack whilst staying in Bispham, good menu, lots of choice and food was lovely. Pleasant staff, we wouldn’t hesitate to pop back if we were in the area.

My wife and I had our breakfast here every day for over 2 weeks and it was perfect every time. The Maddison's full English breakfast is second to none. Even the toast was a nice quality bread. Tea, coffee, perfect. The staff are so friendly and attentive , couldn't do enough for us. Had our evening meal here a couple of times when open later, perfect. Spotlessly clean, lovely atmosphere, we will be back soon.

Visiting for the Bank holiday weekend we found this delicious restaurant, what a lovely, tasty and spotless clean. My children enjoyed their Kids menu and the food was so fresh 😁 I am a very fussy eater and I couldn’t fault it at all. We’re be returning for breakfast and highly recommending to all our friends and family.

Very good value for money and good quality food, made on the premises. Very efficient service. Good choice of menu. Clearly very popular - no empty tables - with locals and holiday makers. Definitely recommended. A little noisy, but this is down to it being so full.

I am registered blind and have been eating here for over five years and have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating to my needs. Me and my friend had a excellent burger today, gorgeous lunch once again.

Having had some awful breakfasts in Blackpool, Maddison's serves a properly cooked breakfast in ample quantities, the bacon is fried and has colour to it as do the sausages, which are very nice. The option of having fried, scrambled or poached eggs is a bonus.

Went to Maddison's several times during the week we were staying in Blackpool. Had the full English breakfast each time and it was lovely. Cooked well and good value for money. Would recommend a visit if you're passing.
