Madam Fromage in Monmouthshire

We popped in for lunch today and we were so glad we did ! Food was fresh, yummy and well presented and service was very good ! Tucked away but definitely not to be missed ! Thank you :)

Such a lovely atmosphere and the food is great. If you love cheese this is the place for you, but it's not just cheese, the cakes look divine ( I didn't have one because I was full 😉) also lots and lots of fresh savoury choices

My Husband and I were looking for somewhere to have lunch in Abergavenny and Madame Fromage was recommended to us. Let’s just say it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we both had the cheese and chilli jam toastie with spiced parsnip soup. The staff were so welcoming and friendly ☺️ The cafe/restaurant itself has an inviting and cosy interior, with lots of local produce to purchase. We will be definitely be returning and also recommending Madame Fromage to others! 😁

We passed Madam Fromage on the way into town and decided it looked so interesting and inviting we would stop for Lunch on the way back to the car park. We sat outside and enjoyed a very tasty hot baguette each. Bacon, goats cheese and onion jam for my wife and Brie, mushroom and rocket for me. They came with a mound of coleslaw and a side salad. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were amazing and brought a fresh bowl of water for the dogs. So glad we stopped, we will certainly go back there next time we are in Abergaveney.

The absolute tip-top of cheese experience! We ate out a lot in our week in Abergavenny but the lunch we had here was gorgeous. Hot, mixed cheese baguette with chilli jam. If it wouldn't kill me I would eat it every day. Lovely people running it too. ( Next to wool shop also a bonus)

Excellent food, nice wine, lovely staff and in a beautiful location. We used a couple of vouchers which were just out of date but the staff honoured them anyway. Great service!

Came across this fabulous place today. Latish Sunday afternoon and made very welcome. Wonderful service. The sandwiches were absolutely wonderful; full of flavour and beautifully presented. I had a bacon goats cheese and onion jam toastie. It was so good I bought a jar of onion marmalade yo take home. We didn’t sample the cakes but they looked delicious. I have been to Abergavenny many times but didn’t know this place existed but I will be back.

A really friendly welcome even at the end of a bank holiday afternoon. The cakes here are to die for. Huge pieces and a good unusual selection. Savoury and sweet scones. This shop also sells cheese and other less usual food items. Staff really friendly. Service good and the tea was excellent too - a seemingly endless pot each. A great find on a day of very changeable weather.

What a wonderful little restaraunt especially if you like cheese The staff are very helpful and the choices wide ranging So many different types of cheese on display and for sale truely a fantastic experience well worth a visit
