We decided to book the cottage for my wife's birthday in December, for a long weekend. Upon arrival we were delighted with how beautiful the surroundings were, so peaceful, and the accommodation did not disappoint, it was beautifully decorated and so cosy. We had the best time , visiting the rolling hills around us, evenings were spent in front of the wood burner. Both Kate and Ludo really are delightful and warm people, as is Tim the Farmer, who was on hand if we needed him. This stay was so special we are returning in May, with the excitement of seeing the farm in action - thank you all, Humble by Nature is a beautiful place ❤️

We attended the smallholding course that they offer. The knowledge of Wendy was very impressive and her expertise of the livestock was captivating. The tea/coffee they provided on the course was well received as the day was a little cold but Wendy made sure we were comfortable and took us into the livestock pens to shelter a little! The complimentary lunch and dessert was homemade and delicious! They catered for all dietary needs and the facilities were very clean. It was lovely to meet like-minded people and to understand the knowledge given to us for when our smallholding dream comes true and as always it’s lovely to see the livestock.

Stayed at The Hayloft early November What a beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Off grid through choice just the tonic we needed when we arrived on a stormy night. Loved the warm Aga. Clean bright and peaceful place.

What a great way to spend a Saturday learning a new lifetime skill and meeting like minded people . The Humble team were professional, friendly, polite and willing to help. The courses varied and not over crowded groups, parking was nearby to the workshop, kitchen and dining room. Disabled toilets very well equipped and the team showed me that they were all willing to help if needed. I was well impressed because it's still a working farm 🚜. A big Thank you all , From Philip and Sharon.

Just attended an amazing yoga retreat day hosted by Rachel Adams at Humble Farm. A perfect mixture of morning yoga, walking in nature, deep relaxation and delicious food in a wonderful, quirky setting! Rachel is a fantastically thoughtful teacher and we even left with personal goodie bags at the end of the day. A beautiful touch. Will definitely be back for another!

A wonderful place to host a Yoga Retreat day - beautiful farm setting, surrounded by picturesque Monmouthshire countryside. Everyone who comes to Humble notes how relaxing it is, and how warm and helpful the staff are. As a tutor, I feel so welcomed and looked after by the team - always a pleasure to work on the farm. Thanks to all the yogis who attended. See you next time. x

What would have otherwise been a great foraging experience was spoilt for my wife as on the day she was unable to eat the main course or dessert which was embarrassing for her and she left hungry! We’d hoped that the office team might call on the Monday following the course but that wasn’t forthcoming so we wrote spelling out what had happened. We received a reply saying they’d received the email but because she “crucially” didn’t report any allergies when we booked they simply chose not to reply to her follow up email explaining her dietary limitations. If they had told us they don’t know what food will be served because it’s prepared by outside caterers and that the on site cafe wasn’t open then we could have brought our own food. As I opened this review with a positive I’ll end with one to say that the foraging course itself is excellent; Liz Knight is so knowledgable and informative and great fun.

Humble by Nature farm is a beautiful place to visit! The Piggery was warm, cosy and exceptionally clean with the countryside homely feel. We had a wonderful time staying at the farm and had an amazing time with the animals and Farmer Tim. My daughter loves nature and animals so she was in awe with the farm and staff. We all need to ground ourselves and come back down to nature! The farm is so tranquil, peaceful and therapeutic! Listening to the Cockerell at 6.45am most mornings was such a delight! We will be back again next year and become regular visitors! Thank you so much for making our stay special.

Visited today 20.04.2019 what a lovely place . You get to see the animals on a re working farm . No real need for wellies as its clean to walk around. Theres a very clean and tidy cafe to have food and a drink at reasonable prices seating inside and out with very helpful staff . Well worth a visit NOW as there's lots of very young spring lambs for the children to see

Food, coffee and staff were good. But would really like to see them update seating. The old wooden chairs and tables really aren’t comfortable enough. Cushions on the chairs as a minimum really not ideally just new stuff IMO

We stayed at the ARW for a short weekend break our anniversary. Our room was excellent, the price was very reasonable for the quality. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay and were happy to provide a bottle of bubbles for the room. Breakfast was first rate, the ambiance and decor was tasteful and the food was magnificent- we had chateaubriand steak for dinner on one night and went to a well-known upmarket restaurant the following might, and the ARW food we both thought was of much better quality. I'm sure we'll be back.
