We needed a drink and found this small, cosy cafe which is part of the post office. It's very popular. It serves drinks and cakes, so we had drinks. There are no toilets so the nearest are at the ferry terminal just down the road. Parking is on road outside if you're lucky!!

What a lovely spot! You can mail your postcards then catch up with your friends over sweets and tea. I had the Victoria Sponge and Millionaires bar - both were very good.

Spent a wonderful couple of hours catching up. Lovely atmosphere, cosy, service with a smile. Delicious cakes, so good we had seconds. Thank You what a lovely addition to the street, way more welcoming than the previous owners, so obvious the previous is a fake nasty review. Jealous much?! I say Well done ladies, wishing you success in the future

Scones not fresh, overpriced, room poorly set out, radio blaring out in the background, no access to toilet.....a poor impersonation of the previous tearoom

All you want from a fish and chip shop. Very generous portion of fresh fish (cooked to order) and chips for a very reasonable price. Wish i had had the opportunity to try some of the other options. Efficient service. Great value!

We had booked 3 nights stay here but were a day late arriving as our ferry was cancelled, owing to fog. A 7 unit site with 2 showers with a toilet in the same room [En-suite]. One of the rooms was, imo, suitable for disabled guests. The facilities were clean with no extra charge for the showers. As the area was "remote" from the main site - hundred yards away and out of sight of the main site - access through the gate, into the shower/toilet block and chemical disposal point was by padlock code or Door Key Code. It worked and probably necessary as adjacent to the main road but slightly annoying. Good water supply and Grey water runoff easily accessed. The most expensive site we used in our holiday through the Outer Hebrides but West Harris Trust is a Community Charity so any profits presumably channelled back into Community Projects

Very good food and attentive service. Not sure why this place is not heaving and perpetually fully booked. Other places in Stornoway were booked solid but were not as interesting. It must be newish so it’s reputation as a restaurant hasn’t yet spread.
