The coffee here is consistently good which is great. My husband had a well filled, bacon roll and, although it was 9am, the scones were ready and fresh out the oven! The lady who served came to the table with an enormous scone saying I had hit the jackpot and would I manage it? No problem.... Staff are always cheery and friendly and the adjoining gift shop has lots of nice things to browse amongst.

The bad Told to take a seat at one of the 5 empty tables - all were still covered in prior users lunch items. Assuming they would come clear them we did sit down. After 10 minutes we gave up and cleared the table ourselves. At no point did anyone bother to wipe the table let alone sanitise it. When drinks did arrive the cups had not been properly cleaned and the teapots were old, cracked and unhygienic. We have a toddler who will only eat limited items when out. Knowing that they serve both beans and toast in other lunchtime options we asked if the chef would mind doing a beans on toast instead of beans on baked potato, we would be happy to pay the higher menu price for it. Waitress said she did not think it would be a problem. Chef refused saying it was not possible (it clearly was as my other child had beans on baked potato and I had toast with my soup they just didn’t want to accommodate young children.) The good - Waitresses were friendly and polite. Food was good albeit overpriced

We've been Macmillans Kitchen at Benview Garden Centre several times and always really enjoy our visits. The food is fab and the service always friendly. They have a great selection of hot and cold food and my favourite is the seafood chowder. A bonus is that the outside area is dog 🐕 friendly. Well worth a visit.

Visited for lunch today and the food was absolutely delicious. We opted to have the specials - Parsnip, Parmesan and chilli soup with the Toast Focaccia with Beef, mustard, mayo and rocket. Excellent value for money. Finished off with beautiful tasty coffee and a pineapple cake (which we shared!!). Service was efficient and friendly. Beautiful atmosphere - santa arrived at the Garden Centre so everyone was on great spirit.

As a local, I can confidently say that this is the best coffee for miles - and a generous sized cup too. Food always delicious.

Visited MacMillans Kitchen with friends for the “Bistro Night” and it was absolutely excellent. The choice and quality was great and I had the steak which was perfectly cooked. Service was spot on and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. Great to have this pop up night available in the area and the food is truly excellent. It’s a bring you own bottle night and added to the great prices, makes for a good value evening - highly recommended

Visited to have lunch, tempted by the main meal menu but soup and sandwich choice was very good and very nice, friendly staff and great scenery. Little walk round the garden and antique centres afterwards was interesting too. Will be back

First order was not eatable, then a loong wait , first person had his dinner when second was served to the lady , first dessert was served 15 minutes before the second , so we had to eat in shifts, not even a wee discount, never more don’t visit macmillans Glasgow , unless you want a burger with chips , but god knows that might be a disaster as well . Decided to try Macmillan’s as haven’t been since it opened and it was delicious! I had a burger which I substituted the chips for a salad .. wedding diet! And service was great happy to substitute! My friend had risotto which looked amazing and I tasted Stephens chicken delicious It’s a bit pricier then I’m used to on mains but very very good and filling! Definitely come back

Gracias

We popped in here for lunch while passing for the first time and were glad we did. The service was good, very quick and efficient, staff were very friendly. There is a good selection on the menu and even a dog menu, which our dogs loved! The soup was delicious and toasties were tasty but a little burnt around the sides so we couldn't even bite into some of them. They have no disabled parking which is disappointing. We will definitely pop in again if passing!
