I went to the cafe and ordered a tomato soup for my mother. Two girls on the till did not attend me. Or even bothered to look at the customer awaiting but kept on chatting with each other. After a two minutes they looked up and then saw me and took my order. The soup was served after 20 minutes of waiting, although the cafe had only two three customers the service was too slow. The quantity of the soup was only 300ml or less as compared to a standard soup bowl you get from other restaurants mostly 400 ml. The girl showed me that they are ordered to fill half of the soup container by marks and Spencer. It costed me £5 for half of the ready made soup from marks and Spencer with a crappy service and stress. I am definitely not coming back. M&S should improve on the quantity and their service.

We went to the cafe yesterday as I had a gift card to use. We were very disappointed with the ham and cheese toastie. I do not like mayonnaise or sauces of any kind, my husband eats anything. We did not expect a ham and cheese toastie to have that in, even he said he was disappointed as it detracted from the ham and cheese flavour. The chips were lovely tho. We will not be having another sandwich in there until you stop putting mayo in every sandwich.

Very disappointing, must have been busy as there were only a couple of sllices of cake and 6 scones on offer. The service was dreadful, the glasses we were given filthy, i was so pleased I wasn't having anything warm...the preparation room, at the side of the counter was disgusting .

Expensive. A slice of lemon drizzle cake and a can of soft drink cost me £5.50. The service was OK.

Queue took over half an hour and spread across most of the second floor. Useful if you wanted to browse children’s clothing at the same time but we didn’t. It was busy but the issue seemed to be more the speed (or lack of) that everything was happening . Limited supply of food in fridge - probably as few were brave enough to wait for hot food after the queuing experience. No apology for wait. Perhaps needs a manager?

Unfortunately there was a massively long queue, and just 1 person serving, 1, cooking, and 1 pot wash person. Surely if the queue is very long, they should have an extra member of staff on the tills etc??? They are clearly taking enough money , and a full restaurant.

We called in for a quick drink whilst shopping in Cambridge on 2/9/2022. Lengthy queue and took over 20 minutes to move 3 yards and get served. Young lad who looked about twelve was serving and others in the queue were commenting about the slow service. Seemed to be out of stock of this, out of stock of that, out of stock the other. We just had a cappuccino and a tea and two packets of biscuits in the end and there wasn't much choice for those either. Several tables had piled up crockery and detritus on them and there was no hurry to clear them. Not the standard one expects from M & S. Won't be in a hurry to come back.

Granddaughter likes the pizza, otherwise would never come here. Service slow and tables never cleared meaning cutlery and crockery is piled up everywhere. When eventually you find a staff member to clear a table, that’s what they do… clear the table, never clean. Not recommended sorry.

The cafe in M&S is cheaper than the other places in the city centre and you get a whole pot of tea instead of just a cup.

I visited the cafe yesterday in Cambridge.(June 6th) No problem with the food and service. Whilst there I saw 5 tables cleared, but not one was sanitised, there were staff free to do this. With or without Covid, hygiene should be spot on. This isn't the best M&S cafe for hygiene. Needs to be addressed by the Manager ASAP.

I’m coming to the conclusion that M&S must not train their cafe staff and if they do, it must be in how to deliver service so slowly that it sucks the life out of you. This cafe is much like the others I’ve visited, slow to serve and tables that need to be cleared and appear to be ignored by staff. If it wasn’t for the free drinks vouchers I get from being a Premier Club member - I wouldn’t bother.

I like the MandS cafes as I find them reliable. The staff here are really nice. Cafe is small but we enjoyed hot chocolate and a mince pie. Accessible on the second floor via an escalator.

Popped in for coffee and cake. I do find the new serving method confusing - where a till person takes the order and a barista makes the drink (ordinary enough you think) but you wait at the till until the drink arrives, so effectively blocking the till........unusual. The cake - self serve (used to be handled by the till staff) was delicious as was the coffee.

This place has not changed since we lasted visited in fact I’d say it’s worse. Dirty tables not been cleaned or the previous customers plates and cups removed there was at least seven / eight tables full of dirty dishes and as for the floor just don’t look down . The Staff didn’t seem to care about the place and looked totally fed up. High time this place was closed down ASAP so stop morning M&S about the lack of foot fall and get your house in order.

此餐廳位置便利,在市中心中央,但由於在一樓,環境相對平靜,是跟朋友眾餐的好地方,有多款輕食選擇,其中蕃茄沙津意粉也不錯。

We visited after a walk around the Cambridge City Centre. The cafe was on the top floor of the M&S building. On arrival the cafe was very busy and all the staff appeared to be busy. All the tables were clear, but the floor was not. We had to ask a member of staff who was in the process of cleaning to clear up, which they did as soon as we asked. There were some tables are at a window facing over the market, but all of these were full today. There were plenty of cakes available at decent prices. It took a while longer than usual to get to the front of the queue. Once at the front, we were quickly served. Food and drink was tasty and of good quality. Overall, the cafe was generally good and the staff were all working hard, but all the problems could be solved with a few more staff.

Good to be able to sit down, take the weight off your feet, and have a tea or coffee. The Cafe at M&S is large enough to take most people who go there, though there can be queues, and they have a reasonable selection. They didn't have 'toasted tea cakes', but I was able to get a fruit scone and jam. Table clearing/cleaning is sporadic. However the place serves its purpose.

We often stop here for a quick snack and drink. It is always busy, tables not always cleared quickly enough. Sandwiches OK, scones good, tea OK, but coffee very weak and not particularly nice, the decaf is not good at all.

Popped in for a cup of tea but had a snack as well. Excellent toasted cheese sandwich. Tea at £1.95 for a pot was very reasonable. Clean, well lit cafe with plenty of seats. On second floor, well worth calling in.

The cafe is bright and clean, looking down over the colourful roofs of Cambridge market. It opens early so you can enjoy it before a days shopping. Food and coffee of Marks' usual high standards, the mushroom and Emmental toastie is particularly good - juicy and flavorsome. Consistently good.

The traditional English afternoon tea was great value for money. Two people just for about £13. The quality of the food and tea were great. Also you could get a great view of the market outside.

Situated on the second floor of the Marks and spencer store beside the market in Cambridge, this cafe serves a range of foods and drinks throughout the shops opening hours. There are delicious scone, cakes, biscuits and hot meals at different times of day. The outlook from the window seats across the market square is very pleasant and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. When you order hot food you are given a numbered stick to put on your table and the staff bring the food to your table as soon as the food is ready. This is usually within ten minutes of ordering. The cafe can be very busy at peak shopping times but you can usually find a table

We held a corporate event at Novi on a Wednesday evening for 80 people. We were given exclusive access to the top floor and shared use of the middle floor. We had a buffet style meal which was superb, the atmosphere was great, the venue was open late and everyone had a great time. Thank you Matt and your team for hosting us!

Waited an hour for food to arrive, only for portion sizes to be disappointing. Staff were nice, although clearly mismanaged, and the café was in need of more staff, as it seemed severely under staffed.

Amazing position, friendly people, but the worst and most overpriced Spritz of my life. 14£ for basically a red-coloured glass of water. Humble suggestion: 1/3 Aperol, 1/3 Prosecco, 1/3 sparkling water. Price £10. Ah, and crisps and olives should be included. That’s the way it’s supposed to be done.
