Amazing food burgers are the best very tasty

Amazing burgers, we usually go to the more well known burger place in Shrewsbury but stumbled across this on one Saturday evening! The burgers were amazing! So so tasty and juicy, I had a monster mango cocktail which was delicious and my husband had a fanta! Very reasonable price! Service was a bit slow, nobody came back to check if everything was okay, We ordered another round of drinks which never arrived but they did take them off the bill. Will definitely be returning customers

Went as a group of 5. We all had different burgers and all were really good. Staff were welcoming and very accommodating with making changes to the menu. The Frickles (battered pickles) were great too. Nice quirky surroundings with exposed brickwork. Will return

Amazing little of the path place. You'd never find it unless you knew. But go find it. Staff are very professional polite and friendly. Food is excellent. If your ever in Shrewsbury look this place up. You won't regret it

Access is via a dingy alleyway but once inside the place is very clean. The food is excellent!

Been coming here for at least 3 years, each time it's great food, great staff and the most amazing atmosphere. My partner and i have this right at the top of our favourites list. The food is so much better than Burger Boys or Five Guys and the price is too!

We dined as a party of three, the service was prompt, helpful and friendly. We skipped starters and had three different burgers with different variations on the fries. I had the Lyon burger with cheesy jalepeno fries, it was very tasty. One of the others had the Salopian burger which came with a blue cheese dip for the fries. The dip was amazing. The drinks were good and not too expensive for a town centre restaurant. All in all a good time was had by all and the bill wasn’t too bad, working out at between £20-£30 per person with drinks. Just a note of caution, there are a lot of stairs inside so would be difficult for those with mobility issues.

Went here whilst away in Shrewsbury, were a bit confused about the entrance but loved the ambiance of it all. The food was great and the people that served us were lovely. Fully reccomend!

The best burger I've had in Shrensbury and surrounding areas. They are a perfect size on a great brioche bun. The ingredients are natural and very well selected. It doesn't have excess flavors, just the right ones in each burger. For this reason it does not become heavy. The only restaurant I know that cooks tasty pink meat. Wide selection of drinks and very good service from the waiters. The place is very cozy and different, creating a very calm and relaxed atmosphere to focus on your friends, family and food. We will surely return once a week, I want to try the different dishes and smoothies that we have not been able to taste today.

Had a works night out here. Around 12 of us all had food together, and nothing was too much trouble

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Lyons Den recently. Lovely friendly staff and a unique cosy layout. Would happily recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic meal, brilliant service, best burgers in Shropshire. This is a small restaurant in a quirky old building which adds to the charm. Great value for money and everything freshly prepared on site. Hoping to make a return visit very soon!

No complaints regarding any of the staff, all very friendly with quick and attentive service. Your menu which is accessible online has all the burgers priced £2-3 cheaper than they actually are. Paid £5 for a 330ml san Miguel which is mad.. Burgers are nice, but nothing to write home about, still trying to figure out what’s gourmet about them. Soggy buns & possibly a bacon shortage to top it all off too. I think if you’re paying £16 for a burger you would expect more than one slice of bacon… Also the toilet facilities are rank, I know they’re a shared toilet with the building but someone should be keeping on top of that, it’s enough to put anyone off their food & it’s hard not to see it as a reflection of the restaurant.

There was no better place. I had the french twist with brie cheese with sweet potato fries, and I really liked the combination of the melted brie cheese and the patty. The service was also really friendly. Next time I go back to Shrewsbury, it will be to go to Lyons Den!

I must confess that I don’t specially like burgers but this place is worth a visit. A wide range of burgers but above all, I would point out the place and service. A hidden gem in the center, nice place for both a date or a gathering with friends.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Failed to hold good a booking, argued about it despite the 3 email confirmations and phone confirmation. Even denied a female member of staff had answered the phone. Pathetic ability to attempt to put right their error. Staff need training properly and stop taking online bookings if they are unable to use their system. Would never recommend. Went to St Nicholas instead and had a great meal with quality service.

Great service , great atmosphere and top burgers.

This is a place to visit! The resteraunt is situated in an old underground brick tunnel that used to be used to as stables for the horse-drawn wagons bringing goods to the town. The restaurant has retained as much a possible of the original brickwork, including part of the 14th century town wall. The atmosphere is great. Each table is placed in a small alcove, making it quite intimate. The brick tunnel ceiling is low, and the lighting and decoration are sympathetic. There is a good selection of starters. We had frickles (deep-fried pickles), which were lovely. There is a wide selection of burgers and some non-burger options. I had the Lyon Burger, which came with american cheese,mushrooms, and fried onions. All burgers come with twice fried chips and a little bit of salad. The burger was really tasty and i enjoyed mine very much. To make it perfect, it just needed to be a bit thicker and a little pinker. Very wide range of drinks of all sorts, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Our waitress was really nice, informative and friendly. The prices are a little higher than a high street burger bar, but the food and location are worth every penny.

We went here yesterday (as a party of 4) for a Birthday celebration, the only issue I have with it is that, it needed a bit more sign postage before the stairs, as we were a little lost, as we had never been there before. But in all really great service, we all rated our burgers 5/5, extremely tasty and quick service, very attentive to our needs, and just a cosy atmosphere. The desserts were tasty too, having a eton mess, 2 scoops of ice cream, brownie and a m&m milkshake. I recommend this little gem, if you fancy a tasty burger. Will definitely come back to test more of the menu.

Best Burger I have ever had. So tasty, would highly recommend a visit. Not far from Darwin Centre/Castle side of Shrewsbury.

The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Love the building and my wife and I were really happy with our meals. No complaints.

Honestly the most amazing location and what incredible burgers. I love a good burger, as do we all, and Lyons Den know exactly how to make them properly. Will definitely be going back.

The actual restaurant was lovely but could of easily been missed. We had to walk down an "alley" and past bins and staff smoking to get to it. But other than that was good :)

The cosiest little place! When you first walk down the alley way, you do think 'where the hell am I going' but suddenly when you walk down the stairs and see the brick tunnels, the atmosphere changes! Soft, focused lighting makes this place feel date night appropriate. The service is fabulous and staff are quick to seat you, serve you and ensure you're having a great time. We had the nacho sharer which was divine and a bacon cheeseburger. The food was piping hot, fresh and full of flavour. This is a little gem absolutely worth visiting.

We went last night as had never been before, even though we have lived in shrewsbury all our lives. The burgers were absolutely amazing, and the service was incredible. I see why people say it's the best burgers in shrewsbury. It's such a cosy atmosphere too. We will definatly be going again. 100% recommend.

We booked as a group of 13 people and the service was exceptional. We pre-ordered so our food was delivered quickly and exactly to order. The staff were really lovely and the food was delicious. Couldn’t recommend more!

The food is great here. One thing I could suggest to make it better for me personally would be to have beer on tap.

By far, the best Burger in Shrewsbury. We have eaten here countless times and loved it each and every time. Seriously, try their mozzarella dippers, onion rings and frickles! Their cheesecake is also homemade, last nights was crunchie which was served with crunchie ice-cream. Fantastic! The service is always fantastic too.

Had a brilliant meal here this evening, we often have a takeaway but decided to eat in for a change. Food is tasty with portion sizes just right. The restaurant has a cool vibe and staff are attentive. Cheesecakes are delicious. This really is the best place to go for a burger in town 🙌

Tucked away in the alleys of upper Shrewsbury this unsuspecting burger joint has some absolute stonkers on their menu I had The Godfather and it was amazing, others in our party had Black and Blue, a classic style burger, and The Baconator. Service was great with complimentary sweets at the end. A nice selection of drinks but as a non alcoholic person their ginger beer was fab. It was branded but can't remember what it was! Well worth it, the quality of the burgers was amazing Will definitely go back!

Came in today for lunch and yet again didn't disappoint. Service was great and food was epic. Only a 20min wait as they had ran out of veggie burgers but was explained which we didn't mind and was well worth it. Hidden gem of Shrewsbury.

this was a genuinely amazing experience. we came on a whim after 2 other places were full & im happy we did. its a genuine hole in the wall, you have to go through a back area and it is literally a hidden den. thats their only real flaw is the lack of advertising as it was almost complety empty on good friday at 2pm. the burgers were great, pricey but worth every penny. they had a huge varitey and even as a huge picky eater with ARFID i was stuck for choice. the beef was juicy & meaty, the portions were huge, id even come here JUST for the chips. the staff were nice, helpful & seemed genuinely happy to be at work and wow... the atmosphere.. its so genuinely pretty whoever designed the interior is a genius. i definitely reccomend coming here when you have the money & are in town. the burgers range from £10-19 but i definitely do not fault them, if anything its cheap for what it is.

Top quality burgers in an interesting, vaulted cellar setting. I can't imagine what people who think the burgers served by certain international chains are good must think when they try these. They even taste of beef! Might have given them 5 stars if not for the devisive and IMO too sweet brioche-style buns. That would normally be enough to put me of if I hadn't come here on a friend's recommendation.

Little step up from last time. Staff were good and helpful. Burger was decent, again the chips reminding me of walkers crisps. Everything was too expensive and stomach didn’t like the food. 2/10

THE best burger resteraunt in Shropshire, huge selection of wacky and normal burgers, friendly staff and cool location, it's often fully booked so think ahead if it's a busy time. Prices are relatively high but it's totally worth it, fries are amazing but the milkshakes are pretty small and was mostly just cream. Update Feb 2022, I would still rate this place the best place for a burger in Shropshire, you can't beat it, it's expensive but well worth it, service is excellent. They could do with expanding the drinks menu but I can forgive them due to the quality of the food.

Top quality food ... would 100 % go again

This was a really nice surprise for a 'burger place'. James, who served us was fantastic. The food: kicked by a mule and the filthy burger, with frickles, onion rings and coleslaw. Was simply AMAZING. Now appreciating a little late to the frickles game but absolutely converted! The atmosphere was lovely , like little caves and we had a really lovely time!!! Only advice. Go hungry!

Great venue, really atmospheric. Burgers were fabulous really moist and tasty, best we've eaten anywhere. I've seen one review saying that they were pricey for Burgers, well so are 5guys and a lot of so called gourmet pubs, well we thought it was well priced for the quality and the staff were excellent.

We booked to eat at Lyon’s Den for a 30th birthday meal and it was absolutely spot on. Nothing was too much trouble and the team went above and beyond to make it a lovely evening for us! Communication prior to the event was polite and efficient. The restaurant itself is in such a unique setting and we were sat together in an area to ourselves which made it all feel even more special. The food was so good and brought out very promptly. Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. My partner and I will definitely be going back for more delicious food too! Thank you so much to the team here - it was FAB!

Metal chairs uncomfortable, lighting poor tables sticky, needs a deep clean cutlery dirty! Had to clean with tissue Burgers ok but not wow, far too salty everything seemed salty.... Drinks came bottled beer without glass, should of had choice either to drink from bottle or a glass, had to ask for the glass yet we noticed other customers had a glass that came with their bottle? Overall a little disappointed & does not reflect the views, service poor & lazy.

Found this place when searching for places to eat. It looked a bit suspicious when you get to the door as you have to walk through tattoo parlours & salons to get to the actual restaurant. However, don't be put off by this! I rarely ever leave a review but this place was amazing!! Hands down the best burger I've EVER had! I would highly recommend visiting this place 👍🏼

Went here for an evening meal whilst staying in Shrewsbury for the night and had a lovely meal, waiter very attentive but not over bearing. We asked for a quiet corner and nothing was any trouble. Great food, great atmosphere just what was needed for a romantic meal for 2.
