Lynx Cafe in South Somerset

Popped in at lunchtime to see that the cafe had a new coat of lockdown paint, which gives it a fresher feel. The half breakfasts were great - proper toast and nice banger and bacon. Plenty to eat and not expensive.

Came across this cafe my mistake and what a great mistake. Great fresh food cooked to order and happy to accommodate your requirements, and good portions. Friendly staff who clearly care about what they’re doing. This is a newish venture and we wish them the best of luck, they deserve it.

Food and drink is good quality and homely atmosphere makes you feel at ease. Always plenty of choice on the menu and the cooks will vary your meal to tailor it to your dietary requirements or fussy needs!! Nothing is a problem. They are very accommodating and eager to please. Newspapers to read while you wait for your freshly cooked food to be brought over is ideal. Great cafe and reasonable prices. Will be sure to go again soon..

As a family we have been coming here forever! I always have a sausage sandwich which is made with huge slices of bread and lots of sausages and lots of lovely butter. I sometimes eat two but one is enough most of the time! Good old fashion cafe with great service and food. Give me faith in little businesses being able to survive!

Had to take my car to Volkswagen yeovil and they recommended to come to this cafe and glad I did very reasonable price and late is very good good my bacon bun was very tasty and very good service with manners

Great value for money. Nice, simple, greasy spoon cafe. Nice fry up, tea in a mug. What more could you ask for? ....... well ...... better toast. That’s my only issue really. Doorstop of bread, which would be fine if it were toasted properly and if butter (marg) weren’t rationed. Everything else was good.

All our family used to visit the Lynx cafe when they went to see my father in Yeovil. Best Truckers breakfast around. Mark the owner goes more than the extra mile - when my father became frail Mark would deliver lunch to his house, stay to chat and sort out household issues. We were greatly touched when Mark and his wife Dawn drove several hours to my father's funeral in London, receiving a warm greeting from 19 of the guests who had all eaten at the Lynx cafe regularly when visiting my father.

I had the largest fry up.....double everything as my boss was paying ! I just managed to eat it all and I can eat . The quality of the cooking was perfect and the time waiting was reasonable. About 10 minutes. I can't fault this place. Top tip.....not for slimmers.

Visit here quite often for the wonderful proper truckers breakfast. Great owner Mark, always up for banter & lovely staff. A very popular venue that is always busy. Great food at great prices.

I travel a lot for work and have been to my fair share of good cafe’s but Lynx Cafe is without a doubt the best cafe I have ever been to for breakfast. Everything is cooked to perfection, I like my bacon well done and they actually listen! Unlike most other places. Lynx cafe was probably one of the reasons why I moved just down the road to Dorset from Hertfordshire! Lol

Fantastic breakfast and very reasonable prices. Propper Brecky . Great service cooked to perfection . Great value and friendly to all emergency services. Recommended to keep you going through any shift.

A proper English cafe where the tea is strong and the portions are large and cheap. Cracking menu and a nice place to go for a good fry up. 10/10

An absolute gem of a place hidden away on Lynx trading estate. Large, freshly cooked breakfast with a brew at a very reasonable price. I have been a few times now when in the area and have never found a fault.

I pop I here every so often and whilst one cannot fault the food (excellent bacon sarnies & truckers breakfast) the service is dire.

We were visiting family and visited for brunch. They are regulars. I was very impressed by the fry up no frills but a very tasty comfortably full feeling when we left. Staff are very friendly too

Best breakfast in Yeovil cheap and cheerful only a few tables but never been turned away and the cafe is alway clean and tidy

Had a tuna mayo salad box delivered today was fantastic value as always it had everything in it a great salad Should have and more.

Great cafe no frills but fresh well cooked breakfast we always eat there early Thursday if mark is not there Tracy also does a great breakfast

Well, my friend and I visit this place quite regularly for the entertainment with the owner, whose sense of humour can only be described as dry!

Everything you want from a cafe. Good breakfast and a reasonable price. The owner mark is brilliant and loves banter and the girls too. Eat here every Friday and would highly recommend

A warm friendly welcome , family run business .no fuss nothing fancy just a good quality,healthy grilled breakfast cooked to order. You defiantly won't come out of there feeling Hungary and still have plenty of dosh left in your pocket !!!

This place is a local treasure which is fairly well hidden on a industrial estate. It's we'll know for it's breakfast and deservedly so. We were promised the best breakfast in our stay in Yeovil and got what we were promised!

Me and my partner found this place about a year ago. We now come here often. So very family friendly, the owner Mark enjoys a bit of banter and has always had a smile on his face even when busy and rushed of his feet. Very child/baby friendly (but there isn't any baby changing the toilet is just too small) and always willing to help. Great meal sizes and great value for money. It's a good sized cafe with maybe 7 tables, it can get busy quickly and when it does expect a wait on food, then then it's to be expected as there's limited space to make food along with the take away orders that they do. There's always been music on when we've been in (and I'd say we've been in there practically fortnightly for the year, with and without children) and we've never had a bad meal, maybe a few iffy bits (which they've sorted for us) but not bad. Great work.

Two All day breakfasts with mugs of tea and coffee plus a thick hunk of freshly baked bread all for £8. Can't beat that for value. Free parking just outside and daily paper to read while you wait. Super job!

Great choice of food - all the usual sort of decent cafe stuff but clean unlike some places we all end up sometimes! A full Truckers Breakfast includes a tea or coffee for £5:50 all in and is a real decent oval plateful.

No grease here! Everything is freshly cooked and served with care. Proper doorstep bread and great portions with plenty of fun from Mark the owner and his lovely staff. Portions here are exceptional - you need to be pretty hungry to come here. Food always takes a few minutes, but it's cooked fresh for everyone and well worth the wait.
