Lymm Spice Lounge in Warrington

went last night with a party of 5 my son and i ordered chicken rogan josh it had obviously been been heated in a microwave as it was so hot you see the heat rising of the meal and it spoiled the meal it was so hot i could not taste rogan josh i did not complain as i was not paying and l didnt want spoil the moment

Food ok, Nice, too expensive for what we had 2 starters, main and a drink each, ambiance very poor. No mood setting or background music, stark and cold atmosphere. Staff very nice but lack interaction with customer need to inject a little personality. Could be a good restraunt but just lacks atmosphere. We love Thai food

I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents who are in their mid 80's, I feel its extremely important to provide feedback to warn others and restaurants must be held accountable, when the service and quality of food falls well below the basic standard, my parents used the words 'extremely poor service and what was served was disgusting'. My parents were part of a group of 5 at the Spice Lounge last night, they have eaten there before with the same group of 5, one of the party is in a wheelchair and previously there have been no issues to note. They arrived at 7pm, the point on the wheelchair was advised in advance. This time they were seated at a table by the bar, which, was a lot more awkward to negotiate the chair, this caused an initial delay and the table did not sit well due to its location. Upon ordering their food the starters arrived after 45 minutes, some had ordered their own starters whilst others only wanted a main course. My Dad ordered the Chicken Tikka which in his words, 'was not very nice'. My Mum only ordered a main course. After repeated attempts to chase the main courses, NO OTHER food arrived AT ALL during their visit to the restaurant, they left at 9:45 pm. They watched smaller parties of 2 being served, who arrived later, also I believe lots of takeaways, they asked and asked to be told 'we are very busy'. Again it was queried, we have been waiting '2 hours how much longer'. To be clear, my mum had no food at all during her visit to the restaurant, nothing at all. I advised my parents to NEVER return to the Spice Lounge, not even for a takeaway order, do not grace them with any business whats so ever! As they returned home at 10:15pm, they ate cheese sandwiches and soup, they were starving.

Hey Guys - what are earth went wrong tonight. After 2 hours we see other tables receiving their orders. One wheelchair that was advised in advance and then a table not fit for one. We had poppadoms and little else. Elderly parents left without food after 2 hours. I have supported you for many a year but this was a disaster.

Excellent attentive service as usual from Naz,Raz & the team. Always delicious piping hot fayre (our 2 favourites on the menu being Chicken tikka sizzler & paneer tikka sizzler.)

Order are meal over the phone went to collect it got home and the chips was missing the food was cold and my curry look like a piece of wood in it took it straight back after an argument I got my refund but I will neaver recommend this place or buy food there again worse curry restaurant I have tried

Unfortunately an excellent meal experience was somewhat ruined by the long wait. The food was very tasty when it eventually arrived after 90 minutes. However the restaurant was totalling overrun this evening by the number of takeaway orders they had taken on. Not acceptable to have customers in the restaurant waiting so long due to over commuting to the take side of the business. We were not the only disgruntled customers of the evening and were actually on the point of walking out. Glad we did not in the end as the food was delicious.

I eat here once a week. It is consistently fantastic . The meat is always very fresh, the flavours are incredible and they always oblige my request of extra extra coriander. The staff are amazing and always so friendly. I mostly get take out but eat in regularly also, and so I recommend either option. Only advice is to order early on a Saturday as they’re obviously busier at weekends so need a little longer to deliver.

I have been here a number of times with Family members, and it does not disappoint. Staff really nice and food is gorgeous.

I admire the owner’s business skills, he has worked himself into a position where this is the only Indian restaurant in Lymm that delivers but if you want flavours look elsewhere (a couple of doors up maybe?). It’s “fine” if that is what you want but no real richness to anything, just lots of undercooked spices and fairly bland. Seems to have taken on a signature dish from the other and trying to mimic the legendary bhajis from there without success. I’ve no connection with the other place, just wish they delivered too.

I'm sorry to say this was the worse curry I have ever had. As a family we have been to many different restaurants and know what our own curry of choice should taste like. The starter (onion bshji s were hard ...as if they had been warmed up by re frying them. 3 peoples curries were bland with no taste and were not very warm...heat wise or spice wise.!!! We ordered floater coffees after our meal which were half full, luke warm and the cream was sinking rather than floating!!! However the staff were nice enough and took our comments with good humour. But.. it was a disappointing experience ....one which we will unfortunately not be repeating. The staff were nice enough ....

Went to the Spice Lounge tonight for our ,50th anniversary with the grand kids, but the staff did not know that it was a special occasion. What a fantastic couple of hours. The staff are so warm, friendly and efficient. Even though it was packed out, the service was exceptional. The food was served perfectly, hot and delicious. The best that I've had for a long time. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. Thank you to everyone.

Too few staff and the ones who were on weren’t very good. Very very slow, had to get up and go to the bar to get any more drinks after the first order. Food was good as usual but the service was a real let down this time. Also incredibly noisy, Not sure if they have changed the furniture and it is less sound dampening now but it felt different.

First time having a takeaway from here last weekend. Really good quality , flavours and not pouring oil out of every tray before you start . Definitely will be ordering again

Outstanding service and food , We have been here several times, usually with the family. Absolutely lovely courteous staff. Warm friendly atmosphere, The food is always excellent and hot. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff plus it is very reasonable, especially the Sunday evening menu 5 star for me and my family.

The service was spectacular, we ordered the chicken shashlik with a number of sides and everything was fresh and beautifully cooked, we've been a number of times in the past and this is our favourite Indian restaurant by far......thanks so much, especially to Naz who proved to be a wonderful host, we'll see you again very soon!
