Lyceum Bar & Grill in Bradford

Definitely worthy of a 5 ⭐ rating! I didn't get any food, so I am unable to comment about the food that they do, but the atmosphere was great, even if it was a sport I don't like that was on TV 😅. The staff were very friendly and polite, which is always lovely to see. I was able to get the drink I like (Kopparberg Mixed Fruit), which was very tasty, as always. Overall, I highly recommend this place, without a doubt!

I went here after watching an episode on YouTubes Rate My Takeaway channel, where Danny the review said the mixed grill sizzler was "probably the best mixed grill he's had in Bradford". I love my mixed grills so just had to try it when in town. So glad I did, it was fantastic and probably the best mixed grill I've had anywhere. The Masala chips and curries were spot on also. We went in a party of 10 and everything from the friendly service, drinks, to timely hot tasty food was excellent and such a great price too. I only wish it was not 150 miles else I would go very week.

This place looks small from outside but inside it is huge and very nice. The Mehndi event went so well. The star ceiling is spectacular. Staff were always at hand and waiting.

What the place lacked in atmosphere, the food made up for it especially the sizzler and garlic naan.

BE WARNED! To all Punjabi Sikhs. Lyceum’s MEAT IS HALAL. I have just called to book a table here for the first time & as I do with all Punjabi Grill houses, I asked where their meat is sourced from. The members of staff has CONFIRMED THE MEAT IS HALAL. As a proud Punjabi Sikh I will NOT be visiting this establishment I will urge all my family to do the same. The rest is up to you & your conscious

Had a large mixed grill with my son , the food was very tasty . We’ll be back in the future to try a curry .

Attended a wedding here. The eaiters were not aware of how to respond to questions about food allergies. The service of food is very slow. The welcome drinks glasses were all empty and just sat there. The wonderful fruit platter was at the back of the room, and we were lucky to spot it on the way to the bathroom. I have been to other weddings at this venue which have been much better. I am not sure what has happened.

never seen a deformed Tandoori Roti. Clearly this roti was about five days old and was reheated,, wish i could share a picture on here!!!

Cannot praise the service enough. We ordered through just eat and had a starter missing off our order. I called to say we had an item missing and I was told I would be sent my missing item along with an extra item by taxi. I then received a phone call from the chef apologising for the error in the missing item and he asked for me to call and let him know when the item arrived. When the order arrived i had a call from the chef before I could call him asking if the order had been received. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Thank you we will be back.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Bradford as a waiter myself I cam completely say amazing experience and brilliant staff atmosphere with pool table sports channels on beer garden and smoking area available what more can you ask for toik my friends there from Birmingham and huddersfield they enjoyed everything so thanks to Lyceum staff and chefs that prepare the food 10/10

The starters were beaut - picture shows samosa chaat, tikka paneer and chilli chips. Not expensive at all. Nice service, nice atmosphere 😁

I have been ordering takeaways from Lyceum for many years now, but never ate in. My first time dining in, and getting to enjoy a mixed grill sizzling hot, which was spot on as always. The prices are reasonble, friendly staff, portions are big and the Mixed grills are the Best!

4 of us out to enjoy are meal had poppadoms comes with a pickle tray brilliant meals was 2 chicken masala looked good me and wife ordered butter chicken didn't taste like butter in anyway but still enjoyed it but will say best cheese and nan bread ever can't fault it 1 bit large sizzlers tried 3 items but was all ready full from what I had was beautiful reason for 1 star less was really for butter chicken not tasting like it I will try the masala next time money worth it on a Monday not sure about rest of week as its 2 for 1 on a Monday

Great place first visit. Ample parking staff and owner friendly and helpful. The environment was clean but the food was hit and miss with some dishes tasty and others not so. Would probably go back if passing but wouldn't go out my way to go.

The service was brilliant but the lay out of the place needs updating . They need better serving bowls and platters bit of salad brought out on something like a cereal bowl , food was ok but not a place I would regularly go to. Some of the mains that came out were lukewarm, warm and hot , could be much better, they should have a bring your own bottle policy too.

First time in here, just to check it out. Could not fault how good it was. Never rushed, just chilled. 👌

Always a great curry. Up there with the best and considerably different (but in a good way) to the usual "British" style curries.

I ordered my food at 18:20 ish and ETA was 19:00 for driver drop off. I tracked the person on map. Despite him having my postcode could see he was going completely wrong way. The ETA kept going up and up. The driver was clearly lost. After 45 mins with my children very hungry. i decided to get in my car and found him going round and round the area. I got my food off him and he followed me so could say the food was delivered. The food was awful as the nans and chips were wet and the grill and curries cold. Really annoyed.!

Food service was terrible. Waited up to 45 minutes. Also their gluten free range is not gluten Free. Ordered the mix grill and it came with battered fish pieces. Told the barmaid and it went through one ear and out of the other.

Very bad experience. The owner / the guy who rents satpal gill needs a reality check. Definitely not worth your money when booking this place for a function: gone downhill

The food i got was really tasty and not too spicy,i really enjoyed my curry ,great taste, The only thing i can say is that they was 4 of us out & we all got our meals at different times,we would have preferred all our main meals together & we didnt get asked if we would like any salt,pepper or vinegar to go with our chips,so just thought id comment on that . Absolutely shocking place. Satpal Gill who runs this place is an arrogant piece of work and should not be trusted what so ever. Him and his brother treat young workers with complete disrespect, swearing and overpowering and like to show their authority. I have seen this first hand as a guest at the venue When things go wrong they like to blame others apart from themselves. An absolute bottom of the barrel place. Do not book your event here unless you want a bad experience for you and your guests.

i was invited to a party at the lyceum last saturday night, i had a great night , i particularly noticed how hard the staff were working and how attentive they were, its not often i come across this level of service especially when there are such large numbers of guests, food was brilliant and plentiful, and a great bar , well done to all staff to make the party one of the best iv attended and believe me iv done plenty .thank you!!

Top notch tasty food with very friendly staff. Great place for a family gathering or a catchup with friends.

Initially thought pricing was a little dear but having tasted it the food was totally worth it. Really enjoyed the Aloo tiki chaat. Was surprised to find bone in the lamb masala but just goes to show it's cooked properly until the meat fell off.

Excellent atmosphere with extremely tasty food especially all starters and very good choices of alcoholic beverages.spacious too.

Third time lucky. Amazing food first time, awful second time, the owner took the time to call so gave them another chance. Mutter keema and karahi paneer tasty, tandoori chicken wings flavourful but flabby,. The driver got lost so not the restaurant's fault.

Perfect food feels like India in The UK. Best Indian food ever had in Bradford. Kudos to all the staff and chef working out there.

Samosa chaat was vile, nothing but grey potato. All the chicken wings were bottom parts ​no drumsticks. Lamb saag reeked and tasted of garam masala - grey slop with two huge pieces of bone. Ordered from here before and it was amazing. Chalk and cheese.

Plenty of colourful side salad with the starters - six different veggies in the mix. Tandoori wings and keema samosas freshly cooked and tasty. No peas as the menu claims, potato instead. Generous size, Cornish pasty vibe - suited to beer and a football match. Too full to eat the main (karahi paneer) but it was great the following day. Will definitely order from here again.

Food was absolutely beautiful, however, our full order wasn’t delivered and when we rang they said nothing they can do without even offering to send the remainder of the order

Ordered Butter Chicken and tandoori rotis, it was fab! I recommend it! Things which can be improved - To have complimentary salad & sauces (it's common practice), even though rotis were good I find them overpriced i.e. £1.5 compare to other places, shouldn't be more than £1.2 (butter applied or not)

The two curries we had from here were absolutely beautiful. We chose chicken balti and butter chicken curry with chips. The butter chicken curry was out of this world. The chips are a lot like fish and chip shop style chips which were also nice. Recommend 100%!

Excellent food, time after time!

Ordered an extra mild palak paneer and received what seems to be a medium english curry paneer. It is quite nice, for what it is, but it is very much not what I ordered :( The naan is nice and there was free sauce and poppadoms.

Amazing food as always! My number one takeaway and restaurant, can’t wait until i can eat in again!
