Fantastic selection of cakes and pastries, food on the menu delicious and the staff are polite and attentive. Well worth a visit if you in Crystal Palace.

Lovely selection of cakes and a nice menu - bit of a Caribbean influence I think. I had the plaintain which was delicious with BBQ sauce. Its not cheap in here but about right for the area.No where for buggies though, especially when busy.Service was ok, food came quickly and was fresh.

We were there at a semi-busy time of day, however, the cafe was well staffed so I don’t know how they were getting it so wrong. Firstly my juice arrived in a dirty glass. Then after a long wait, we had to chase where the rest of our order had got to. When this finally came it was served without cutlery - we asked for some forks which never came. The bathroom was in need of a clean and had run out of loo roll. And to top it off, service had been included in the amount we paid which wasn’t clear until we had paid and were then given our receipt.I hope this was just a one-off, but with so many other places to choose from in the area, I doubt I will be returning to find out.

I actually crave the hangover breakfast from here, it is so good. You pretty much don't have to eat again that day if you have the breakfast.They also do some great cakes, I love the passionfruit cheesecake and red velvet cake,They do a selection of teas as well as coffees.Staff are great.And what's even better, they re-invest profits to help women leaving refuge.So overall I very much recommend LWS!

Fui con amigos para el desayuno en un día. Fuimos los primeros clientes para el día, pero el personal era cálido y acogedor. Estábamos encantados al descubrir que había algunos platos de desayuno (inusual, así como los típicos fritos opciones), así que podíamos probar algo nuevo y muy interesante. El ambiente era cómodo y el personal proporcionó un buen servicio cuando lo necesitábamos, pero también nos dio espacio para charlar y relajarse. Me encantó y sin duda volveremos.

LWS is a Social Enterprise trading to reinvest their profits into supporting women leaving refuge and finding employment so its a registered charity. So yeah it is unusual but very nice. We only stopped for drinks and to shelter from the rain but had some of the tempting cakes as well. Lots to choose from on the menu if you want main meals. Orange juice they make especially themselves is delicious and very refreshing. And such lovely staff so I said I'd put a review on TripAdvisor.

Tried to go for lunch today and turned away due to having a buggy. What a shame, it was after the lunch rush and hardly anyone in there. Won't be going again.

Excelentes tartas y nos encanta volver por el menú servido en el encantador teapigs tazas de porcelana.El servicio es el clavo, y, da la impresión de que a los camareros no son experimentados, pero siempre son amables.El menú - aunque sabroso - es bastante caro. Volvería más regularidad si era más asequible. Y si había un bonito menú para niños.Actualmente tienen una oferta donde se puede conseguir un 50% de descuento en su comida si reserva una mesa.Lugar no suele estar ocupado, así es excelente para aquellos que desean disfrutar de una conversación en la mesa.

Entré y la primera cosa podía oler era el aroma, se sentía como un spa era absolutamente genial, olía muy bien. Entonces me tomó un vistazo al menú era tan diversed y adecuado para todo tipo de personas, pedí el rabo, ensalada y yam era tan sabroso, y el caballero que nos servía era tan amable y alegre, la comida estaba bien en el punto y vale la pena la visita, recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante. Servicio de principio a fin fue de 100 y volveré a visitar de nuevo la presentación increíble y la comida deliciosa. Yummmmmm! ! ! ! ! ! ! X

He visitado la mayoría de los viernes restaurante LWS en el almuerzo y la comida y los pasteles son excelentes. El personal es muy amable, servicial y me tratan con respeto. He comprado algunas de las tartas para llevar y los disfrutamos.Es uno de los pocos lugares que puede visitar y no tener niños ya no están permitidos. El restaurante no tienen el espacio para carritos y es por eso que no podemos tomar ellos. Creo que es una buena idea! No han crecido los niños y los niños grand.Por favor vaya a este restaurante te gustará.

Metimos en un café y después de ir de compras. . . . Y realmente disfrutamos de la tarta. . . . La señora. Estaba muy contento con sus huevos escalfados con salsa holandesa. Es un poco caro. . . Pero está ubicado en la esquina de así no se pierda ningún sueño.

Metimos en Domingo para una porción de tarta y una pantalla blanca y estaba contento con ambos. Pastel de zanahoria de mi esposa parecía delicioso y el café era bueno. El servicio era genial, el personal era muy amable.

El servicio es impecable y la comida llena de sabor y abundante. Este restaurante va de fuerza a la fuerza. No puedo esperar para experimentar LWS en la noche.

I had duck royal which was duck eggs with salmon, which was tasty and filling. I also had a blueberry lemon drizzle cake which was delicious! Very good service, would definitely recommend!

My daughter and I are fussy eaters and we loved every thing we consumed and every moment in there. The food- Chips and Jerk Chicken was excellent and delicious. Not over or under spiced. The cakes are heavenly. The tummy helper drink certainly helped my tummy and coconut water for my was nice. The atmosphere in there was brilliant. Best seat in the house was by the window! We would certainly be going back there. If passing by definitely getting those cakes.

Great tea pigs tea served in large teapot. Lovely and a stolen moment with a cake. Just great. Lovely welcome and good service

This place does not strike me as a Carribean cafe at all. We were the only customers when we entered and it looked as if they were closed.My friend and I opted for a hot drink and a cake. My hot chocolate was lukewarm so I asked for this to be changed which it was. Cake portions were generous but £7.50 for a hot drink and a cake seem a little pricey for me.

This is a great local social enterprise cafe with the best cakes in South London. Now its open in the evening for cocktails and carribbean fine dining. The service is warm, the mixologist with flair amd the food is great. So climb up the hill to Crystal Palace

My wife and I have been coming here for lunches for a couple of of years now and never grow tired of this local hot spot in Crystal Palace! Food here is fresh, authentic and full of flavour. (Jerk Chicken & Rice, Vegetarian dishes and cakes are delicious!). Whilst it is a cafe it is very versatile personally I have enjoyed lunches here, business meetings and recently attended their Friday cocktail night. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended !

As usual LWS delivers on taste! Lovely friendly staff and delicious food- it's dangerous living so close! Would recommend the seafood hot pot and if you lucky enough to be there at the weekend make sure you grab a white chocolate and hazelnut cookie- they need to do these in the week!

We just tried having coffee and cake here but were denied entry as we have a baby buggy with us!! I told the manageress we could collapse the buggy and sit our baby on our knee but apparently there "isn't enough room" - the place was half empty! Absolutely pathetic.

All on the premises baked cakes which are all simply delicious. I love this place as it gets busy but you always seem to find a seat.Good service always a winner and they are clear about you're waiting time on food no more than 15 mins.I had the Royal Dutch which is eggs bennedict using duck eggs, organic always, served on home made sour doe bread with a spinach and lightly pickled beetroot yum! As from the 7thof April this place will be open in the evenings with a bar serving bottled beers wines spirits and cocktails as well as their amazing cakes!!Sounds like heaven to me!!

If you have the chance.. stop here for a delicious cake. They do amazing teas served in old fashion cups.

I have visited a few times with friends for coffee and cake, it is nice enough but not amazing. They are a family-friendly social enterprise cafe! Or supposedly, on my recent visit they denied me entry because I had a buggy. Does anyone else recognise the irony. Do we not life in an age of equality and against discrimination. But to have a charity that empowers women do this disgusting and total discrimination.

Visited when on trip to see family.Lovely cafe and friendly people. Enjoyed the specialist teas and home made custard tart. I think some of the serving staff on the day were on training but very pleasant nevertheless and we've all been new to the job at some stage. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

My partner and I both had a cake and a cup of coffee. It was a sunny day and we sat on one of the 3 small tables outside. The cakes were delicious and a slightly different range from the chain caff opposite. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The staff in this cafe were so helpful and attentive, they couldn't have done more for us. The food was probably the best breakfast I have ever eaten out, everything was cooked just to perfection. I had the handover breakfast, great value for money. I also had a mocha which came over really quickly and tasted great. The cakes in the window looked amazing and the place was laid out really well

Not accomodating if you're with children. Try to seat you in separate area and menu is not accomodating. Try other CP restaurants. (cp market, domali, Lorenzo etc)

I was very disappointed to have seen a woman and her child turned away because she had a buggy/pram. The place was practically empty. Very unkind and unfriendly I shan't be stopping there anymore if that's their attitude. Food wasn't that great either and staff need to be a bit more hospitable in general. A smile wouldn't kill them!

Me & my sister were stuck on where to go with my 1 yr old who was eager to get out of the buggy, we just wanted somewhere quietish to have a coffee and cake and LWS looked like the perfect place as it was empty when we walked in. I ordered 2 slices of cakes and coffee and we sat at a table where I let my little boy have a bit of time out to stand by one of the 3 chairs we were sat around, ok he was being a little bit cheeky but whole entire cafe was completely empty at the time. Then what Happened really astounded me, The waitress came over and started clearing around our table when there was no mess, she the began to tut and mutter under her breath and scowled at us! I was in complete shock at this As its meant to be a charity cafe for women who have suffered from violent abuse and the vibe I got from this waitress was borderline abussive to us I felt... Especially to little boy he was doing no harm at all for gods sake. She kept this up the whole time basically standing over Us it was ridiculous we couldn't even have a private conversation so We decided couldn't take the rudeness and had to leave which is when i got lumbered with the £15 bill, the red velvet cake was stale we couldn't even eat it. Will never go back here it's a real shame but avoid with your with kids as the staff do not like them of humans in general.

Varied and interesting menu, but don't expect a cheap breakfast as good ingredients are used. Good quality and service.

Staff were friendly and attentive.The menu was great with some really tasty food on offer, and lots of options for different dietary requirements at great prices.The vegan brunch option is fantastic. Will definitely visit again.

Very non child-friendly, to the point of rudeness! Definitely one to avoid if you have any children with you....

My partner and I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service we received was excellent and the food was really nice, plentiful and great value for money - especially compared to other places on the triangle. The jerk chicken I had was the best I had ever tasted and the custard tarts for desert were devine. We would highly recommend this cafe.

We went in for a coffee and we had the best waffles ever! If you go there have the Lumberjack.. Would recommend the very interesting tea menu too

The staff were welcoming from the offset and throughout, couldn't do enough for me and my girlfriend. Food and atmosphere was above and beyond expectations, and for a good price. Highly recommended!

Well what a gorgeous little cafe this is. We had a beautiful breakfast with great service. My partner had the hangover breakfast which is a full English, which he loved and highly recommended! I had the home made granola with fresh fruit and it was amazing. Staff at this cafe couldn't do enough to help, they were all great and so polite. I also noticed home made cakes and bread for sale and they looked amazing! Will definitely be returning if we pass by in the future.

Locale caldo e accogliente, la padrona di casa ti accoglie con un sorriso ed un calore che forse solo le donne di colore hanno.I dolcetti per la colazione sono buonissimi, come se fossero fatti in casa ed il cappuccino ottimo come in Italia.Abbiamo fatto colazione il primo giorno di vacanza a Londra e non abbiamo avuto dubbi, la nostra colazione sarebbe stata sempre lì per tutta la durata della vacanza.Abbiamo lasciato un pezzetto del nostro cuore in questo locale.

This excellent cafe is within walking distance of Crystal Palace and as well as enjoying a good brunch or lunch you can contribute to the Living Water Satisfies charity that helps victims of domestic violence. The cafe is quiet and spacious and serves a range of dishes - such as the scrambled egg with a caribbean twist or vegetarian breakfast - which have a strong caribbean influence. They are all very good value.

I came in with my friend for breakfast on a Saturday afternoon and after a few minutes felt like I was in a comedy show. After noticing what looked like a flood at the entrance we were ushered in. First of all I was told there were no substitutions on breakfast items which meant I had to pay for them individually which is more expensive. After struggling to be heard ordering over the noise of loud children I asked for the wifi code. After a few moments The waitress bought over two tap waters then took one of them away. We still don't know why even now. The drinks we ordered Still hadn't come but a man kept coming over with coffees that we didn't order, when I told him, it was clear he didn't speak English. The wifi in the place did not work properly. I then went to use the toilet but after a few seconds a very annoying child began shouting 'who's there' which was very unsettling. When the food arrived the portions were small. Despite requesting the fat be cut off the bacon in the original order the fat was still there and my friend who requested well done fried eggs was given runny eggs much to his dismay but he advised the waitress who quickly changed it.The toast was so undercooked it was just like bread. Our drinks still hadn't come. After a few minutes the waitress brought my strawberry milkshake over and it was tasty but no sign of my friends orange juice. After a few more minutes I reminded the waitress who had clearly forgot and she brought it over. I asked the waitress the name of the place and she simply replied 'I don't know' before handing me a leaflet about the place. This place generates money for female victims of domestic violence but after dining here I felt like being violent.
