The worst food I ever had , so much of oil chicken was black totally . Worst service ever waited for an hour . One man I think who is cooking and serving only. Asked for a cup to drink water..... Cup was stinking and had a white layer on it ,god knows what was that.... So much stinking.... Tables full of dust ... nobody ever wiped them ever I think . Before going I Read reviews says very good very beautiful decor inside where is decor .I think they reviewed themselves... Horrible experience we had ever. Too much oily , dosa potatoes were very soggy , briyani chicken black oily why ? Coconut chutney not good as well.... Sambar is like water with few vegetables. Everything was in few portions but price is so high .. beer bottle 10£ for what ? Not happy I won't recommend food lovers to go there . Too expensive and not good food and preparation.

We visited Luxmy Restaurant with a friend after a long weekend gig, and the experience was amazing! Many of my friends are from Europe and were trying Sri Lankan food for the first time and they absolutely loved it. I went to Laxmi Foods thinking I’d get soft idlis, crispy vadas, and tasty sambhar. What I got instead? Concrete idlis, rubber vadas, and sambhar that tasted like boiled confusion. The chutney was so bland, I had to check if I lost my sense of taste. Honestly, the idli could break windows. I didn’t eat it—I survived it. Vada was so chewy, I felt like I was doing a workout with my jaw. And the sambhar? It had all the spice of warm dishwater. Laxmi Foods drowned my expectations like a dosa in the rain. Even airplane food looks gourmet next to this. If disappointment had a flavor, this would be it. Save yourself. Go home. Make Maggi.

A BIG BIG NO to anyone who wants to visit this restaurant I ordered byriyani from here today and they served some boiled rice and said that it is byriyani and the chicken was not cooked properly. We mentioned this to the owner of the restaurant and he was very rude, the restaurant is not at all hygienic as well

Good food with affordable price.

Ordered 1 chicken and 1 lamb biryani in the evening for takeaway with some expectation. But, as soon as I opened the box bad smell was coming and could not eat more than 1 or 2 spoons. Wasted 20 Pounds. So, you might get old biryani sometimes.

Their customer service was terrible. I'm never ordering from them agaiordI put the order through Uber Eats order and it never arrived. I called five or six times with no answer. Seriously, the worst customer service I've ever seen.

This is second time happened to have the food delivered to wrong location. This place always makes delays in deliveries. When called couple of times, they stopped picking up phones. Such a pathetic customer service. Take away also takes minimum 20 minutes. Would not recommend for deliveries.

Please address them, we want your restraunt to do well, but it seems that there is a problem with humility and ability to take the criticism on board. I hope you improve. I do apologize for the anger in my review, but your food is really good, but you can do so much better. I love the food, but I guess they only cater to south indians and south indian customers. Too much comfort in customers of their own language. Pathetic. No ambition to cater to UK standards. The toilets are dirty, no soap at all. No toilet paper. The food is not FRESH. The fish thali is not fresh. The fish is not FRESH. DO NOT EAT HERE. You will end up with some bad stale food and issues the next day! The owners are happy with serving their own SOUTH INDIAN community. They have no idea of the standards of restruants which cater to non indians. Why? Go and visit other restraunts. So basically, the "chalta hai" attitude is imported from India. A compaints with regards to hygiene is due to the authorities.

Got a takeaway tonite. It didn’t get off to a good start, the driver couldn’t be bothered to get out of his car to deliver his food and asked you to walk to his car instead. And then he claim he doesn’t have change until I insisted that he fork out some change then only he pulled out some change. From the reviews before it seems they are unscrupulous!! Food is mediocre and not worth the money! Avoid!!!

We tried their buffet option on one Sunday and we felt it had decent varieties for the price. The taste was good. However, we were there around 7 pm but most of the food got over already and they were ready to refill only a few varieties and said that day was a rare case as they have conducted a party on the noon and hence the food was over soon. Anyways, I would like to retry the same buffet on another Sunday but probably will reach a bit early. Update: Tried their buffet on another Sunday but a bit early this time (around 4:30 pm) and happy to say all varieties were available as advertised and the only suggestion is to improve their refilling capacity as we always had to wait for the dishes like chicken 65, parotta etc., to be refilled. Refilling speed fixed as well in our most recent experience. Mini tiffin combo & Poori in their breakfast menu is also worth trying.

Been for breakfast this morning. Tried masala dosa , chicken masala dosa and idli. Must say it was very very tasty. Must admit the food was upto to mark and not to forget the milk tea was too good as well. Really enjoyed and highly recommend.

Had a very delicious meal at Luxmy foods , The SriLankan kottu and string hoppers were amazing and the food quantities were very good , friendly staff , Will definitely visit again !

Went to have breakfast, the parathas were not cooked well, we ordered mixed vegetable and they served the vegetable that they put inside the dosa, which was just the mashed potatoes. The overall service was poor, our dal was cold while waiting for the parathas, even the omelette was not even up to the average level. We also ordered fried rice, where the pepper were not even cooked. A big no if anyone wants to visit them. Highly disappointed

I recently ordered pothichoru from this restaurant, and I was extremely disappointed with the food quality. The dishes lacked flavor, and it was evident that fresh ingredients were not used. My meal arrived cold, and the presentation was unappetizing. For the price, I expected much better, but unfortunately, the entire experience fell far short of my expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a satisfying meal.

Hats of to these guys.. this food was a craving late at night and for once the Indian food from this place made me feel like I was at home in India. I’ve had so many Indian foods from other restaurants but nothing has ever come close to this. 🥹 I’ll be ordering again 100%.

I had a great time dining at LUXMY FOODS. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Everything was perfect, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Budget friendly restaurant. We tried the mini tiffin option in the breakfast menu that included dosa , idly ,vada, 2 types of chutney (coconut and tomoto) , sambhar and coffee/tea. We opted for tea. South Indian flavours are great in their curries and sambhar. The food tasted good. Tea with elachi tastes like an Indian one. Vada was crispy as it should be and not oily. Poori and potato masala also tasted very good. Poori was soft and not oily, I really liked it. Take away is also available. The ambience is upgraded recently to accommodate more ppl. Public Parking, no onsite parking available. One small suggestion would be if they can keep the hand wash separately it would be better. Highly recommend to have South Indian food. Thanks.

Ordered food from this place. Order was supposed to be delivered in 20 mins. Waited for one hour and then called the restaurant. No response. Contacted uber, they also tried calling the restuarant still no response. Uber was only able to cancel the order for me. So more than one hour of waiting that we have to go through without any reasons stated, and the inconveniences that followed still remains unsorted. Very bad service from this restuarant. Had similar problems like this even beofre.They change the order item with another and keep a written note saying sorry. Highly "not recomended" guys

I have ordered twice from this place and my food was never delivered . They will not attend your call as well so once you place an order with any app it may even be Uber eats . You will be wasting your time since the food is never going to show . Of course you will receive a refund but what is the point of ordering if you are not going to receive the food . I ordered "pothichoru" yesterday and it's not at all like a pothichoru. It's packed in silver paper not in 'banana leaf' and its absolutely waste of your money as it's nothing but tasteless. And they sides were all messed up and mixed up like we can't even identify what all things were there. I think better you guys name it as "rice with potato curry or " rice with side dish 😃 no sambar , no Moru curry, not even plain curd were there. And the rate is like 17 pounds per one . 🙏🏻🫡👍

Food was good. Tried full tandoori chicken. It was alright. Plain porotta was good, but malabar porotta was just ok. Pricing of items are cheaper when compared to other ones.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DISCUSTING AND SCANDALOUS PLACE!!!! Decided to give this so called (South indian/Sri Lanka) restaurant a go, bare in mind I have tried the mojority of Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Sri Lankan Restraunts in Merseyside so I should at least no what to expect in regards to food quality an Portion sizes. First an foremost let's start with the order, bare in mind that this place doesn't have a landline an the only way to contact them by phone is ringing a mobile which one of the family members will answer an then they will ring ahead to the "Restaurant" to place the order for you. When I rang an placed my order it was hard to understand the young lad on the phone as all I could hear was a baby non stop crying as in the baby must of been sat on his knee or he was at home minding the child an taking orders, as I have now found out that the adults can barely speak English an have the children/teenagers speak for them an talk to the customers. Upon finally placing my order over the phone an not even asking me for my name, I decided to go an pick up my order. They stated that it would be ready in 30min which in fact took 50 minutes. After entering the premises I instantly realised that it was a mistake to even place a order an eat from a place like this. Everything was dirty an un organised, family members sitting an standing everywhere on phone's watching videos, wasn't a good atmosphere at all. After paying for my order which cost £50 I was told to wait as it would be ready soon. While waiting all I could hear was a microwave door being open an closed an turned on which made me realise that they heat up all the food with the microwave an only cook the fried rice fresh, everything else is microwaved. After the young girl realised that I had noticed that she was excessively using the microwave she decided to put the music louder to drown out the microwave being on an also pulled the curtain across the counter so I couldn't see what was going on behind the curtain. Once home I realised how much of a joke this place was, the mutton curry which was tiny little pieces of meat about 10 in total swimming around in watery sauce an cooked to death in the microwave. The chicken biryani was shocking 2 pieces of half cooked chicken legs palaced on top of hardly any plain rice, the king prawn with butter masala was a disaster must of had about 4 prawns in total amongst all the bland watery sauce. Samosa's were not fresh an was 100% package bought from probably the village market round the corner, an the naan bread I order was not naan bread at all it was so thin like a chapatti an cut into thin triangles instead of leaving it whole. ABOVE ALL I 100% DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING FOOD FROM THIS PLACE, I'M SUPRISED IT'S STILL OPERATING AN NOT BEEN SHUT DOWN.... Also forgot to mention don't be fooled by all the fake 5 star reviews as they all have been done by friends an family of the people who own the place jut to make it look appealing and highly rated 😡 Owners are trying to get my review removed...

Ordered last night rice was tasty but definitely not worth the price barley any chicken, and when you hear a microwave pinging it's definitely not a good sign 🙃 mutton piece were the size I would feed my toddler all in all I want be trying again. Don't know who would have left five star reviews I fear they are fake to get people through the door
