Over priced, Small portions, containers half full, Missing ingredients, minuscule amount of duck in the bean sprout spring roll, poor quality meat, dry shavings of chicken(?), over cooked veg. 3 dishes between two £28 (£33 after service and delivery charge) delivered promptly and the Uber driver was great so was happy to tip him. Contained MSG. FSA food hygiene rating of 3/5. Safe to say wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be returning!

So we’ve been coming here for years eating the Thai food which is so authentic and the staff are so lovely. But they now have a separate section serving smoothies, juices, bubble waffles and crepes oh and ice cream with vegan options too.... Literally everyone in our family left happy- we tried the juices, smoothies, crepes & waffles (and now can’t move) Perfect place for our family- we had great food then were able to have dessert that the children loved. Good food makes me happy lol

The best Thai meal I’ve ever had 10/10 👌 the coconut rice was delicious. The beef panang and massuman beef was superb . The staff were really friendly. Family atmosphere. Would recommend it to everyone.

Really tasty authentic Thai food. Usually have a take away but took some family to the resturant and everyone really enjoyed the food. Resturant surroundings are basic but the food more than makes up for it!

Food here is exceptional but sadly the tired decor and lack of atmosphere puts me off going here regularly. I tend to use it for takeaway (collection only).

We came to this restaurant on a Saturday evening. It was fairly busy but not completely full. My first impression was this is more like a ‘down market’ café that a ‘good Thai restaurant. The staff were dressed in quite scruffy clothes and the seats and tables were as you would find in a café, not in a decent restaurant. When we were seated, it took about ten minutes for the menu to arrive. It took about 20 mins for the food to arrive. The quantity of food was small and it was almost certainly pre cooked. This restaurant seems to do a lot of ‘take away meals’ and as a result, there seemed to be an exceptional number of scooter riders parking outside the restaurant and helmeted and black motor cycle suited, entering the restaurant to collect their food. This was not a nice aspect of dining here. With 2 beers, this 2 course meals cost £ 55.00 I think that it is a high price for such poor quality food. We will not return.

Ate with an old friend and enjoyed the food. Quality was good and the atmosphere was nice. Service was good and the prices more reasonable than on previous visits. The restaurant looks cleaner with fresher decor than remembered too.

Food was ok. Service was ok. Nothing worth writing home about. The place was just a bit unexciting. The worst thing was a baby crying and screaming every few minutes. This baby did not belong to a customer. It was one of the workers or owners. Annoying with no regard for the customer

I visited Lux Thai for dinner with a friend on a Friday night and we were surprised to see that only one other table was occupied. I can only assume that any other customers gave up waiting to be served and left. It took around 30 minutes for our order to be taken. We each ordered a main dish and two side dishes to share. A few minutes later the waitress returned to ask if a 20 minute wait was acceptable for my friend's fish, which was fine. Around 20 minutes later, my main course arrived, together with the two side dishes, but there was no sign of the fish. After waiting about five minutes, with no sign of a waitress, I started on my food, which was going cold by this time, and my friend started on her share of the side dishes. The fish dish finally arrived over ten minutes after the rest of the food had been served, which left my friend with the options of either eating her fish with the now cold side dishes or on its own. The fact that she then had to wait five minutes before the waitress appeared again to ask for a knife only added to the irritation. I had a Panang curry, which was OK, but contained very little chicken. The house special rice was OK, and the noodles were quite nice. My friend said her fish was nice, but nothing special. We then sat waiting for the table to be cleared. And sat for a while longer. And then for longer still. The table was finally cleared away well over half an hour after we had finished eating. We waited to be offered the pudding menu or coffee, but gave up when the waitress disappeared once again. If the restaurant had been busy, then the vey slow service would have been more understandable, but with only two tables occupied, there was no excuse for the long wait. We won't be returning.

Unfortunately we left after the starters. Some of the dishes didn't taste fresh, so we didn't want to risk the mains.

Had a lovely meal ... tempura was delicious and stir fry king prawn dish very nice. Service was good. The decor however was chipped and grubby... which was a bit off putting.... the price was expensive too so they could do with an update or revamp!! Still well worth a visit for the food.

Been coming here for quite some time and no mater how many times I eat here, I never get bored of the menu. I've eaten at many other Thai restaurants in south east London and none have compared, food wise, as good as this place. It's quite disguising as its doesn't look like the most wowing or busiest from the outside BUT don't be mislead. There's a nice local relaxing atmosphere and the food appears very fresh! every time I've sat in there the Deliveroo cyclers are flowing in and out. Price maybe slightly above average and starters could be a bit better value for money but for authenticity and quality after my trips to Thailand, this place is the one! Highly recommend if you're in the area.

We went as a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. The staff are friendly enough. The food is generally delicious. The only issue I have had here, is sometimes the service can take quite a long time! Now that they are on deliveroo, the door opens every few minutes for a driver to walk through and their orders seemed to come before those in the restaurant. However, as it was a celebration, we had lots of chatting to do, so it wasnt so bad. Definitely authentic tasting Thai food at a slightly higher than average price, but always fresh and tasty!

The joys of Deliveroo have brought Lux Thai our way several times now and I must say it's really rather good.Food arrives hot and fresh and the dishes are varied and fresh. The Thai Green Curry rocks. Phad Thai is great. We've yet to have anything other than good stuff from this reliable little eatery.

The restaurant is quite unassuming from the outside and we were a bit reluctant to go in due to the low number of people in there. However after reading positive reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to give it a go. Overall the food was very tasty. Though the starters were nice, they were very expensive for what they were (e.g. 4 small dumplings for £6.50ish). The main meals offered much better value for money (my Penang curry with rice was around £12). Overall I'd recommend if you're in Dulwich and looking for a decent value Thai.

We go to the Lux a Thai frequently and always find the food and service to be excellent. We visited recently and had prawns in pastry and chicken satay starters which were delicious. We also had the seafood Tom yum soup which we shared, it is really filling and tasty and is almost a meal in itself. Also really nice red and green curry, stir fried beef land stir fried chicken and nice pad Thai. My top tips are to go early to secure a nice spot near the fish tank and also the wine can be expensive and can increase the bill considerably. We have never had a bad meal in there and sometimes we order a takeaway to collect - not quite as good as eating in but the option is still there. I would highly recommend this restauraunt.

I used this place twice for lunch and every time the food was very good. Both times I ordered fish which was delicious, spicy, flavoursome and fresh. I was impressed with the service as well. It's worth giving it a try especially because it has a great location on the busy Lordship Lane in East Dulwich.

I was feeling peckish at 6pm on a Tuesday evening and fancied Thai but where to go? Some local Thai food takeaway can be greasy and dull. My 21 year old son, Alex , looked at the internet and suggested Lux Thai to me, so with no expectations I ordered. There is no delivery so I had to collect and to be honest I was not expecting very much. But huzzah! The Thai fish cakes were delicious and the Pad Thai memorable. My 83 year old father who professes to hate any food that is not meat ( very well done) and two veg ( ditto very well boiled) was tempted by the aroma and on wolfing down a large portion of my meal ( I am happy to share......grrrr) said...' Mmm I think I like Thai food.' Obviously, Lordship Lane, London SE22 is not a destination place but come on locals come and try good, delicious food at reasonable prices. You will not be disappointed.

Had a business lunch here - the Chicken Satay starter was very well done, tasty peanut sauce, and the Panang prawn curry main course just perfect - moderately hot 'n spicy but with great flavour, and a good-size portion (some Thai restaurants serve such tiny portions!)Had a glass of wine with the meal, though the beer looked good too. Service was friendly and attentive, recommended.
