Great place for a coffee or tea right next to LSE. Went there with my brother for a small break. I can recommend the tasty vegan sausage roll.

To name a cafe Lundenwic after the Anglo-Saxon name for London is to suggest it’s been around since time immemorial (in fact legally speaking prior to time immemorial which means 6 July 1189). Whereas in fact it’s celebrating its fourth anniversary. Also it might suggest it’s stuck in a rut or its products are stale, which, judging by the wonderfully crisp and fresh croissant I ordered, filled with ham cheese and sliced tomato, could not be further from the truth. The espresso I had to accompany it, however, was of the trendy stewed variety. Whilst I did not explore the basement, this must be a mainly take away joint as there are scarcely more than a couple of tables on the ground floor. I perched on a stool with a view of some books in front of a window overlooking a yard behind the Waldorf Hotel. Fortunately a full water jug and glasses were also within reach.

El interior es muy bonito y muy relajante lejos del ajetreo de Aldwych. Hay más asientos en la planta baja, algunos con enchufes, y es poco probable que la mayoría de las cafeterías no sea un sótano sucio sino un espacio luminoso y acogedor. Realmente impresionado y sigo volviendo! Lo recomendaría si estás por la zona. Bien diseñado y ejecutado, una rareza. . . !

Really friendly staff that wanted to have fun and have a laugh, yet professional. It was a quick coffee after work with my partner before meeting friends for dinner. Small but a welcome hidey hole from the busy street outside.

Very conveniently placed for theatres in the area. The coffee was excellent with good flavours and strength. The brownie we shared is perhaps the best I've had! Guy serving was friendly and polite.

The coffee is good and the food is nice - both slightly overpriced. One can cough up good money for it. However the staff attitude is appalling and apathetic. Like the guy behind the counter said today if you don’t like it you can go to another coffee shop. Sure will and there are lots of great coffee shops in Covent Garden.

On our way (walking) from Liverpool Street Station to the Leonardo Di Vinci Exhibition at Buckingham Palace Gallery, we did an online search for good coffee and Lundenwic came up as a possibility amongst others. There was something appealing about the Lundenwic so we headed there arriving about 11.45am and, as it happens, just before a rush on the place. The food was good, we had toasted banana bread and sourdough panini with pretty decent coffees. There's a couple of little tables outside so we sat there and watched London rush by. Btw they don't take cash, but I suppose that's the norm these days. Highly recommended for a quick coffee & food top up stop.

外観からして青と白のコントラストが美しいお洒落なカフェです。オニオン、ケール、チーズのシンプルなトースティーを注文。店内 で頂くと、専用の機械でプレスして焼き上げられた熱々が運ばれてきます。チーズがたっぷり入っていて、最後の方は少し味が濃く感じましたが、とても美味しかったです！飲み物のチャイも本格的な味わいでした。

This is the best cheese and ham toastie I have ever had the honour of eating. Added to that it's a lovely place with lovely staff. The perfect coffee shop.

This place has good coffee but there is a draw back! The food is expensive with respect to the quantity. However, the staff are not interested! I will not be back!

I was at Lundenwic this Thursday to try their scrumptiously delicious porridge, which wasn't, I am afraid. There's certainly room for improvement in the oats department.

Been here a couple of times now, just passing, grabbing a nice and decent cup of coffe not maid of mainstream-to-every-ones-taste beens. Support the small independent businesses!

We’re in London for a week and we’re here the third time. Good coffee, nice atmosphere and prices you can afford. The chai-latte is outstanding. And the snacks are great. Really good place to take a Rest on a trip through London. Love it here.

I must admit I’m a regular visitor of this cafe, simply because I’m a student at king’s and it’s close to my campus, has good coffee, and a nice interior. However, some of the staff are a bit brisk and short. Furthermore, I find that they prioritise money over their customers, in a sense that they will happily move their customers to fit more in. A lot of students tend to come to this cafe to study, I had a lot of work to do so took a double table to spread out my work (plus my friend was meant to join me to work too). More people were coming in and they were separating peoples tables (including my table) to fit more in, making the space very cramped and thus difficult to leave my table. On the plus side, they are accommodating other customers. On the downside, they are disregarding the customers that they already have. The size of the table that I was left with wasn’t big enough to do my own work, let alone my friends, so we had to leave. In normal circumstances, I wouldn’t mind having my table moved, however after I told them that my friend was joining me, and moreover, it’s very obvious that I need the space for work, it’s a bit irritating that they told me to move: focusing on more customers and more money, rather than prioritising the customers that they already have. As a result of this, my friend didn’t have enough space, we had to leave to go to another, more accommodating cafe.

The size was small, but the taste is fabulous. The richness and thickness of the coffee was not lost as would happen in many chain stores, while the roast was not too sour. Great for sipping and enjoying.

We came here for a quick bite in the morning to fill our stomachs with some delicious food before starting to explore the city. Super friendly and helpful staff, good fresh ingredients and plenty of healthy options to kick-start the day. We can highly recommend...

Very nice avocado toast, avocado is just perfect, ripe and tasty and turmeric latte with almond milk could be nice option for vegans, a bit pricey but it worth it

Really great food. Superb coffee bread porridge and granola. Simple well presented and tasty. Avocado on sour dough brilliant. Well done guys. A credit to food. Much better than local hotels and better value.

Really rich roasted flavours tasted like it was straight out of a specialty coffee house in Melbourne. £2.70 is on the cheaper side for the area too so great value.

Half an hour or so to kill, so spent it in here with a smooth, creamy flat white and a mini pastry. Small, cool, minimalist interior - a refreshing contrast to opulent Aldwych! Will certainly be back for breakfast and/lunch.

The coffee in Lundenwic is one of the best in the Strand area. Even with soya milk, the latte tastes great

The Toasties here are awesome best I've ever tasted well worth a visit. Next to Aldwych theatre. The cafe is very small and quirky but well worth a visit for their award winning toasties. Takeaway is also available. Friendly and pleasant staff.

Best coffee in London so far. I also had a delicious eggs on toast breakfast -- for under 4GBP! It's easy to miss as you walk by -- but it's got some great seating downstairs. If you're a coffee enthusiast, it really is a must.

We had a delicious lunch here with my spouse but I'm frequent here for the great coffee. My first 3rd wave filter coffee experience in London. Nice staff, same quality every day. Try the sandwich with broccoli and chili or any soup!
