The best pizza I have found in the area

I went to Pizza Luna back when it had opened and I was taken with the quality of the pizzas, which were really tasty, the lively Italian atmosphere of the place and the very moderate prices. When I went there tonight, it all seemed much more subdued. The pizzas we got were tasty enough, but they didn't have the same quality as before in my opinion. The ingredients seemed cheaper, and it was a bit heavy on the stomach. There is of course a cost of living crisis at the moment, so the price hike is perhaps understandable to some degree. If you were on a night out and wanted something after boozing, I'm sure these pizzas would be more than adequate, but there are so many other high quality pizzerias in the area that I don't think I'll be rushing back there.

It used to be so good and cheap, it was Italian pizza for a fiver Now is unedible, thick greasy drunk people pizza, you won't be able to finish it and they will charge a tenner for it

Had many pizzas from this establishment, I can not recommend enough. We go here for a pizza after every night out and it is always great quality for a price of £7.99! The two owners and the rest of the staff are the friendliest and most hard working of people, I am really glad to have found this honest, cheap yet excellent quality takeaway that values their customers! Keep up the good work, by the number of customers you have on an evening other people must agree with my opinion! 🍕

Mr Luna (Mehmat) and anna are the nicest and the best late night food in Bristol! We would never chose anyone else (unless forced) after a night out. Such nice people and great food. Pls go :)

Place has gone pretty downhill if you ask me. Prices gone up, quality gone down. Probably won’t be using this establishment again. As an avid former customer, but of a disappointment.

Lunars was a decent spot for an edible pizza and chips handmade for 7 pounds on the stokes croft strip after a night out. Went in for the first time in a while last night and wasn't to happy to see all the pizza prices had gone up and the free chips where also not happening anymore. So I ordered a pizza and small chips, The pizza was pretty disgusting for anyone that isn't on there 8th pint it seemed like all the ingredients where frozen with to much tasteless chess plastered on top while somehow managing to burn the edges while also not being crispy... it really seems like there prices have gone up and the product has been made worse. I wouldn't normally review a fast food place but this was honestly really disappointing.

I had pizza from here for the first time yesterday, really impressed! £7.99 & the pizzas have a nice base - not too stodgy with good toppings (& lots of them). The lady serving was really friendly as well. Definitely going back here!

I've been coming to Luna for years and was looking forward to them reopening but it doesn't seem to be the same pizza - too much cheese, tasteless crust and not enough topping. Very generic and not the delicious bubbly crusty pizza we were used to. Plus no free chips and all for an extra pound. Very sad that we seem to have lost one of Bristol's hidden takeaway gems.

Menu is bigger, although the peri peri chicken has gone. Prices have increased. It is a place which younger folks often go knowing they could fill up cheaply on a wide choice of pizza toppings, and a complementary bag of fries or garlic bread, and I think, a soft drink or water. We went there on alt 2nd Boxing Day when little was open nearby. On the few occasions I'd visited I usually had tuna, red onions and another topping. I offered my daughter some, and she forgot I'd ordered tuna, as all we could taste was the chillis. I'm actually wondering if they'd forgotten to add it! Luna pizza base was never going to win awards, but the toppings were fairly generous. Doubt I'll visit again. Review on TripAdvisor.

It seems like is very hard for them to pick-up the phone ! One time they did and the order wasn't even made or written so i had to tell him again my order and wait Zero professionalism

Despite initially being put off by the dodgy decor outside, I'm very glad that I gave Luna Express a chance. It as fantastic. The service was friendly and quick . The pizza caught me by surprise (in a good way). Whereas the outside made me expect typical takeaway pizza, the pizza was stonebaked and baked to perfection in an Italian style. Great value for money too with a 12 inch pizza only being around £6.

Super tasty piz! All hand stretched!!

The food from this place left me feeling heavy, greasy and depressed. This was genuinely the worst takeaway pizza I’ve ever eaten. The cheese and the tomato sauce mutated into a congealed, curdled mess. The tomato sauce tasted both horrible and of absolutely nothing at the same time. The toppings were both burnt and raw. I was starving so ate most of this pizza and my advice to anyone who finds themselves in this same position is to not take that same gamble. Both my mind and my stomach are now haunted by that decision. They were skimpy on the fries but that turned out to be a blessing. They were slick with grease and tasted like the chip oil hadn’t been replaced in a decade. My boyfriend says he feels paralysed “as if trapped in a sarcophagus” after eating his pizza. Overall: Unfortunately not one of those weird aged looking takeaways on the road that actually turns out to be a well kept, authentic little secret. Just an old, horrible, dirty, takeaway.

Ordered online, defaulted to a cash payment, got a confirmation email and everything, but when we got there the staff had no idea what we were talking about. Very confusing. The wait for the pizza wasn't too long but the wait to be served was a while, potentially due to there only being two people working. The pizza itself is nice but very floppy/thin, which makes it difficult to eat without cutlery. I asked for spinach but got rocket, a minor thing. The chips are incredible though, if you eat them while they're warm

The BEST place to go after drinks on Stokes Croft. Amazing quality for it's price, really tasty and not what you would expect from a takeaway place open as late as this one. Also, the guy who has served us on both occasions is really great, friendly and they put up well with drunken people! Veggie options are really tasty, as is the garlic pizza bread.

After ignoring and walking past this place for years, I gave this place a try and I tell you what, I feel guilty. Possibly the best Italian pizza I've had in Bristol. Friendly staff and a great location in a vibrant part of the city.

The staff people are nice, most of them get stress in the busy times (expecially in the weekend) but after the Italian humor, there is allways nice food and great service. My experience is as a worker and I have been fired cus I was late most of the times but the most important thing is that (they don't know) I been late cus the payment isn't respectfull for anybody. The boss allways late of over one or 2 months and half to pay all the staff and me, the only one that, even they know, sleeping rough and working in the same time to save something for a place to stay. But after over 2 months without getting pay I been upset until I begin to be late of just 5 minutes to half hour and they fired me for that. If don't was for this shaming situation I can put 4 stars, but I'm still after 3 weeks without job without a penny cus of the boss and waiting to get advances of pay every day that I continuing coming there just to get warm but not anymore. If u wanna be a costumer enjoy one of the best pizza of Stoke Scraft otherwise, as a worker better any other places but not this one, where the contract is black and the payment never come cus the boss can do what ever he wanna do. I hate that place!

Luna Express was such a surprise! It's by far the most Italian pizza I've had in 6 years of living in the UK. Italian quality and most of all Italian price (£5.99 for a 12'' pizza!). Sure there are many good pizzas around but this is the best price/quality you can find. The only thing I don't like about Luna express is the fact it's not open for lunchtime!! :( Could use the addition of a few more typically Italian ingredients on their list but that's a minor fault (there's material for a bunch of amazing combinations, I personally recommend olives, anchovies and artichoke hearts!) Simple, tasty, no fuss, highly recommended!

First ever pizza here was good, the next two times were a complete dismal!! unless you like tinned ingredients on pizza! Greasy as hell. I will say they do real good crispy chips. I might give this place one more go just to give benefit of the doubt as the first pizza here was great

The best Italian pizza in Bristol. Super friendly staff and very cheap. Simple food but done very well. Italians eat here so it must be good.

There's nothing not to like when you can get 15 grilled peri-peri wings with garlic bread or fries for £10 and a choice of hot, medium or no salsa. Full wings, too, not those half wings everyone else seems to call a "wing" these days. You can even request them to be extra crispy from the grill. A favourite late night food joint on Stokes Croft.

The best value for money. Cheapest prices around. And at no sacrifice over quilty or taste. Iike this place so much iInamed my dog after this place. They sell real food here 10/10. And the staff ain't to bad either. Happy eating.

Luna is one of the best fast food places you'll ever find. The chicken is beautifully marinaded, better than Nando's but at a fraction of the price. The chips are crisp, not greasy, and come in generous portions. The pizza is made with fresh ingredients and always delicious. The food comes promptly when ordered. Did I mention the price? This place is amazing
