Lumberjack Cafe in Plymouth

Just spent 3 nights in plymouth on a surprise family visit, and each evening went to this restaurant, our group of 8 were well catered for with a great choice of traditional and familiar 😀 item on the menu

Love this place, so friendly and with beautiful views out to sea looking across to Plymouth Hoe, Mount Edgecombe and Drakes Island

Have purchased from here several times - both the cake slices and celebration cakes. Most of the time the cakes are great - light and fluffy, but have been two occasions where the cake was too sweet and did not taste very fresh (seems more of an exception), but will still be purchasing nonetheless.

Been a few months since my last visit, none the less I was welcomed with a handshake and a smile. Shown to my "usual" table and the beer and poppadoms arrived in 5 mins. I have tried quite a few of their dishes now but am always drawn to my all time favourite Chun Chun Lamb. Rich, thick, spicy but bursting with flavour with all the ingredients identifiable. This is to date the best lamb curry I have had in a restaurant and I've been all over! Quality food, quality service and a nice atmosphere continue to make this a jewel in Plymouths Crown. Please try it!
