Came here after a recommendation from a friend and I'm glad we did! Small and authentic with delicious food and wine! Definitely recommend booking a table if wanting to come here... small and popular. I recommend the lasagne, delicious and not greasy at all.

Very nice place, simple decor but authentic with a good atmosphere. Food is excellent with a wide menu. What is not to like, great food and service. Our first visit recently for my husband's birthday and we will definitely be back.

A lovely local family run restaurant serving first class food at very affordable prices. The people of Arnold are lucky to have this this on their doorstep.

This place is exceptional, massive menu so something for everyone. Also one of the biggest gluten free options I have come across. You will need to book. It is very reasonable to. Will be back!!

Some of the most kind staff I have ever met and they are so accommodating. The food is some of the best I have ever had and the whole family is always excited to go.

Went as a group if 16. We pre-ordered. All the food came out hot and delicious. Excellent. Highly recommend to large groups as well as smaller family groups.

Fantastic staff, nice traditional atmosphere, good food and very reasonable prices. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only reason for not giving 5star is that when we went to tip our fantastic waiting staff a generous tip and we were told they are NOT allowed to keep their tips and all tips go to a charity of the owners choice. This isn't legal or acceptable. If I want to pay my money towards a member of staff who has given great service then that's where I expect my money to go. I'm surprised the waiter had the incentive to give such a good service.

Having visited this wonderful place numerous times, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting beautiful Italian food. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and the welcoming owner as well Honestly I've never been disappointed here and highly suggest anyone visits here for a good evening

We phoned to order takeaway pizzas. The person we spoke to rudely told us that he was too busy to do takeaway that evening, leaving us high and dry. If a restaurant offers takeaway - it offers takeaway - and should not deny customers the option whenever they feel like it. Never again.

The staff are always welcoming, plus the food and drink is excellent. They were able to cater for carnivores and vegetarians in the same group, no problem!

I don’t understand how this has good reviews! We had a takeaway, The pizza tasted like it was store bought, hardly any sauce or cheese, cold and hard. Had the lasagne asked for extra sauce it came so dry I couldn’t eat it, they gave me some Parmesan which was from Lidl and dated out of date 6 days ago! Made me feel sick, poor quality ingredients wish I hadn’t bothered.

If you’re not a regular then don’t bother going!! Me and my husband went in tonight only went in for main courses!! Think that was the start of the problem, we wasn’t ordering a 3 course meal waited over 40 minutes for 2 steaks! Waitress/waiter spoke to everyone else in the restaurant but us, not a problem! but when we left not a thank you or good bye still spent £70 won’t be going again

Best restaurant in Arnold full stop.

First time trying this place last night. Wish I had gone sooner. Food was amazing. Tiramisu was just gorgeous. Service was great and prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be going back again. A real hidden gem in arnold.

Very pleasant atmosphere, food is delicious.

This was a great find. Good value for money and lovely food. We went on a Thursday and it was packed- always a good sign. Although I like really solid arancini, theirs was nice, the pasta was excellent as were the puddings. The house wine was good too. I would go again. Try the cannoli!

Had the worst experience ever at this restaurant. The food was very poor and served cold. When we complained the manageress was not interested at all. She was down right rude to us. I would never go again and would definitely not recommend. If you want nice Italian food, visit Amores..... or even Bella Italia!

Always have a beautiful meal here, however the waitress that was on duty tonight was ignorant and ignored not only myself when I tapped her on the arm and said excuse me but I witnessed her doing the same thing to an elderly gentleman. It's a shame that such a fantastic restaurant is let down by one person

A lovely place to go for a meal, the food is superb and the portions are really generous can't wait till I go again.

Helpfull staff do gluten free and vegetarian so me and my friends where well catered for food was really good if you havent been I recommend you give this restaurant a go

This restaurant is fabulous. The staff are wonderful and make you feel really welcome. The food is true Italian freshly cooked with a wide menu choice. If you can fit a dessert in after the delicious main meal lots of yummy choices. Would recommend booking as extremely popular.

Visited Luigi's on a Thursday night,it was very busy which shows its a very popular eatery, I had a prawn skewer starter which for me the coating was a little over cooked and not much flavour, I had a lasagne , nice flavour but for me a little too soft in texture, but judging by how full the place was it obviously serves great food so would recommend if you're a fan of Italian food

It is always a delight to find a genuine Italian restaurant deep in the suburbs of a British city, and Luigi's definitely hits the spot. Long-established and still run by the founder's family, it is evidently very popular with local residents, and it was full on the midweek evening when we went for dinner. We went on recommendation, and fortunately we had booked. Our main course was saltimbocca. Made with thinly sliced pork, rather than the more traditional veal, it was absolutely delicious. Two courses, two large glasses of wine, two coffees, and the bill came to less than £60. No wonder the locals like it so much!

Still as good as it was 20/25 years ago when I used to go with my nan and grandad. On this occasion I went with my partner for a birthday treat Absolutely amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Will be going again. Thank you

Very slow service, expect a long wait

Not impressed, We came here to celebrate my mum's birthday,to start with the tables were too close together, it was a very tight squeeze if anyone needed to get out, we had pre ordered our food but it still took a long time to bring the starters out, and then the mains, food was average, I personally left alot of mine as my chips were wet because of the water from the vegetables on the plate, twice we'd asked for water to be brought to the table and this didn't happen, on the third attempt it came, we also had to go to the bar to ask for more drinks as the service was poor, to be fair it felt like too many people and not enough staff. Unfortunately we won't return again because of this experience.

First off the house white is incredible! However the service was incredibly slow and the food was ok. We waited 45 minutes for our starters and then another 30 minutes for mains. When they arrived the steak was tough and the pizza was chewy. It was all a bit disappointing.

Everything about this place is first class . A beautiful family run restaurant was an absolute super find . The service and atmosphere was so welcoming but the star of the show was the food . I had the T bone steak and it was second to none . And at such value . The rest of the tables dinner was just as mine was , outstanding 🙌🏻 5 star all round . We traveled an hour for this restaurant and so glad we did. We will definitely be back with more friends

What's not to love? The food is excellent, the wine is carefully chosen and the service is great. The staff are attentive and obviously well trained and the chef knows exactly what he or she is doing in the kitchen. There are so many independent restaurants that have not survived the last few years but Luigis has and we are all the richer for having it!

Eight of us came here for an evening meal. The overall opinion is that it was very good. Starters were lovely. I had steak diane for my main course. The steak was a bit dry/overcooked and was a bit scorched on the outside. Next time I won't ask for it to be well done. Other than that everyone seemed quite happy.

We went to celebrate my sons birthday the food was amazing there was 8 of us 6 of us had different meals & 2 had the spaghetti bol & we all enjoyed our meals we will be going again

Love Luigis food HOWEVER every time we’ve had an issue with the female waitress/receptionist she is rude and very unprofessional. This is the 3rd time now we’ve had a problem ! Today we booked a table for 8:30pm walked in and she said “my brother has gone home so we can’t serve you “ she didn’t call us prior to coming to let us know nor did she apologise. I even said thats not very professional and she just shrugged her shoulders and walked off from us like it was nothing! We’ve now gone to amores in Gedling and it was absolutely amazing and great customer service definitely recommend:) if I could leave zero stars for Luigis staff I would !

I've been going there for many years, it hasn't really changed still the best restaurant around. The steak is particularly good, service excellent, prices very reasonable and I always enjoy my visits there.

So disappointed, arrange for a meal for 13 people in advance, got there they only set a table for 10, orders all mixed up, missing starters, missing for for mean meals, extra side order didn't get, the food was disappointing, wouldn't go again. Staff confused, well expensive for what we had. If you go don't pre-order your food, the beer warm couldn't drink it. A terrible night.

Luigi's will always have a special place in our hearts. Nothing too much trouble warm friendly welcome. Been many times over the past 32 years. Authentic Italian home made food. Unfortunately we don't live close by so are not able to visit as often as we would like. Beautiful fresh food. Definitely recommend and will be back again. Thank you

A few years ago a friend recommended this restaurant but I’d never got around to eating here. I wish I’d visited earlier, the food, atmosphere and staff were lovely. The portion sizes were good value for the price and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to eat here again. A very enjoyable evening and despite being filled to the rafters there was never any pressure to eat up and leave. Thanks for a great meal, see you again soon.

Great service and delicious food

The reason I love this place is because it's very traditional inside. Everyone is so friendly.Food is bellisimo 😃

Sad to say it was very average. We visited for my wife's birthday after glowing reviews from friends and family. It was quite busy for 7pm on a Thursday but we didn't mind that. Our starters were, for the price, quite disappointing. My spicy 'king' prawns were tiny and lacked flavour, on a bed of wet leaves. My wife's antipasti was mostly salad with a few slices of meat. My wife ordered a special, a delicious-soundjng tomato prawn spaghetti. It turned out to be bland prawns in a tasteless sauce. My main was delicious, ham and cheese tortellini in a corbonara sauce. The staff were clearly too busy and took a while to collect our plates. They also didn't offer us the dessert menu or offer to bring the bill. We sat waiting for about 15 minutes, during which time one of the staff looked over at us a few times but didn't come over. In the end I had to ask for the bill at the bar. Considering the recommendations from friends we were really disappointed. Authentic, non-chain Italian restaurants are hard to find and we were hoping Luigi's would become our regular. We will try again another time, hopefully we have a better experience.

Always a nice atmosphere and lovely food.

Been twice in the last 4 months and both times were outstanding. Food was near to perfection ( I would definitely recommend the mussels ). Staff very busy but friendly. I highly recommend. Closed due to COVID-19 but now do a delivery service. Must say, the food was just as delicious as usual. Thanks all ✌️✌️ If you haven’t been, please do. You won’t regret it. 👌👌👌

Not been in years but wasn't disappointed as good as I remember great food and service

We went here on Friday evening and had a wonderful meal. I’m coeliac so have to eat gluten free and I was overwhelmed by the amount of choice as well as the knowledgeable staff who made sure that I was well looked after and felt confident that I wasn’t going to suffer afterwards. We’ll definitely be back!

What a little gem of a place. Amazing food, with a coeliac and a vegan in our party and the options were refreshingly good. Great value as well. Had it not been for a particularly rowdy bunch also being there when we were it would have been a 5star. Certainly try them out if you are in the area.

Lovely atmosphere and popular. Food was delicious with all the classics and some modern twists. Wine quaffable.

Excellent service and food. We were a big table and food came out almost instantaneously for all of us. Great that no one had to wait long for others to get theirs. Staff friendly and attentive. We asked to change the rice to tagliatelle on the beef stroganoff and nothing was problem.

Absolutely amazing, a hidden gem. I must have driven past here a hundred times and never 'seen' it, until a friend suggested eating here. What a suggestion! The food is exceptional, and very reasonably priced as well. The restaurant was absolutely packed by 8 on a midweek evening and I'm not surprised. Despite how busy it was, service was great and waiting times for food weren't long at all. Definitely recommended!

Not been to Luigis for a while now but had family staying & was looking for somewhere local for a nice Italian meal…the whole meal was just delicious and the staff so friendly. We won’t leave it too long to come back again!

Had to wait quite a while for food, me and my wife both ordered pizza, very disappointing, the pizza was obviously not fresh (the base was 100% frozen or bought in, could tell by the shape, texture and markings underneath) pizza was also that hard it actually broke my wife’s tooth! Will not be going back. Only plus side was the wine was reasonably priced.

Tonight four of us went to Luigi for an evening meal, it was a beautiful meal, friendly service. It has been beautifully decorated & has been up-dated. Highly recommend.

Decided to visit for tea, it was a really enjoyable experience . The food was excellent as well as the friendly helpful service. The vegan menu influenced the decision the options were lovely. We will definitely return.
