This is one of the best Chinese take aways in Bristol .They have never given me and my husband a horrible meal.Its always been delishus and well worth the money.Not over prices ,For very tasty foods.The egg rice and special rice is very very nice indeed.Also the crispy chilli beef is worth a try as it's one of the best we have had in Bristol for sure. The mini spring rolls are very nice also. I am sure we tried more foods then this but it gives you an idea of how nice this place. The lady at reception that takes your order I just wanted to say your lovely and always so very polite. See you again soon.

Was happy about the time it took to be delivered, piping hot, kudos on that however the food was very poor, the udon noodles I thought would be dry noodles not in a sauce, was very bland and watery, the chicken balls was undercooked, doey, both very bland, was upset with overall but I like the propper chinese food, you gurt propper english chaps that think a Korma is spicey would probably love it, so ignore my review, give it a go.

Nothing majorly wrong it, just wasn't anywhere near delicious.

Good portion sizes make it perfect for sharing and good prices too

The food was great apart from missing the 2 curry sauces out so got a refund from just eat.

Delivery was good however food was not good at all. Both satay chicken & chilli chicken had no taste as well. Wish I had spent my money elsewhere

Very generous portions, delivered quickly and nice and hot. The char sui (Cantonese) pork was incredible and we also really appreciated the free prawn crackers. Would definitely order again.

I have used these guys for years, way before just eats even existed. I have probably eaten from here 20 times and I have never had a bad meal.

Always the best service & great food

The beef in black bean sauce was watery this time around, however the rest of the food was good.

I personally don’t like the food, I ordered from here as my usual place wasn’t open the fried stuff (chips, prawn toast, etc) all tasted like it was cooked in the same old oil, the chicken balls batter was almost like a dumpling crust, not my to my taste I wouldn’t recommend but everyone has different tastes

A generous amount of food, but all cold curry sauce had solidified in the tub. Chicken barely cooked. Best thing about this meal was the chips.

Really nice tofu and very generous portions! I ordered the char siu expecting the Cantonese style - sliced roasted pork with BBQ/honey glaze but it was more like pork in a tub of BBQ sauce

We thought we’d try this takeaway - ordered it at 7pm and it took over two hours to arrive!

ORDERED FISH AND RECEIVED CHICKEN. On hold for 20 minutes and no answer, we don't eat chicken so had to throw it away. Awful.

The food was delicious! Delivery driver was very nice! The restaurant put in some paper plates as we were staying in a hotel and had none which was very nice of them! Really good standard and on the cheaper side! Definitely recommend! :)

Usually order from here by phone but couldn't get through as they were busy. Food as always was lovely.

My favourite go-to Chinese spot 🤩 They always have excellent service, the drivers are always polite and helpful and they follow any instructions I give. Even my picky eater African family loved dinner last night courtesy of Luc’s.

Luc’s Chinese Takeaway IS the best in Bristol. I have tried others over the years but NO ONE is as good. If you want an epic meal may I suggest: Capital Spare Ribs, Chilli Salted Squid and mushroom chow mein. You will NOT be disappointed. The ribs are absolutely meaty and delicious and you get loads, the squid is fresh and tender and the chow mein is very tasty. The delivery man is also brilliant. I have ordered food from them for at least 18 years, it is consistently perfect! I tried others during lockdown and they were more pricey and disappointing. Following a lot of takeaway research I can confirm that Luc’s Chinese Takeaway is the best!

The Singapore noddles were absolutely delicious, the battered squid wasn’t crispy and I like mine crispy so next time I will order chicken balls In the hope they will be. The sweet and sour sauce was perfect, it was just what you would expect of decent sweet and sour from a takeaway, and the free prawn crackers were very tasty. I Will definitely order again.

I've been ordering from Lucs for the best part of 8 years, never have I had missing items off my order. In this case drinks. By the time they'd arrived with the missing drinks I'd finished my meal and no apologies when it arrived. I could not track my order via the app so I was totally unprepared for my orders arrival. That said, I've always had great food from this place during those 8 years and it was again tonight. It was just this small slip up that let it down tonight. Marc

Ordered the ribs the other day and wow you get a lot of them. Really good value for money and decent quality food. Partner got the Hong Kong chicken and she said the quality of that was also great; this also was a big portion. I would recommend trying them. Think they will be our new got to Chinese place

Fab food as always. Delivered on time and piping hot this time (last time it was lukewarm). Third time we've ordered in lockdown and have exactly the same every time. Slightly curious that the price goes up each time, but still worth it.

This was a truly tasty meal, delivered freshly cooked, hot, and on time. My wife - a vegetarian - especially enjoyed her Tofu in Kung Po sauce, which she said was excellent and had a very welcome 'kick' to it. My duck in black-bean sauce was very flavoursome and the meat nicely tender. Frankly, all the dishes we ordered were first-rate, and the containers truly packed full. We will definitely be ordering again!

45 minutes earlier than predicted so that was good. However the food was greasy and the bean curd and cashew was more like Campbell's soup. I fed it to the dog

Delicious food, seems less greasy and uses better quality ingredients than other Chinese restaurants that I've tried in Bristol. Food always arrives promptly and is still hot. Yum!

Great value, tasty, classic Chinese takeaway food.

My order was incomplete so we were missing 2 dishes we had paid for. I was trying to call the take away, but no one would ever pick up the phone. So we didn’t all eat and we lost the money . Poor.

I patiently waited over a hour past the stated delivery time for my food. When my food finally arrived i was disappointed. The food both lacking in quality and quantity. My food was under seasoned and very dry. I would not be ordering from Luc's again and I would advise people to order elsewhere.

When we ordered this meal just a couple of days ago,, we looked forward to a pleasant Chinese takeaway, but this meal far exceeded our expectations. It was truly an extremely tasty experience - ranking among the best Chinese meals my wife or I had experienced in a very long time. My wife said her vegetarian dishes; Mixed veg Chow Mein; Tofu Hong-King style, mushroom Foo Yung and Curried mixed veg were all very flavoursome and nicely-cooked. In fact, she reckoned her curred veg was the best she had ever had. My Roast-Duck in Chilli sauce had tender duck in a sauce with a real kick to it. Excellent. The beef in black-bean sauce did not disappoint either! After that meal, I find it hard to believe that some of the disparaging reviews on this site refer to the same take-away! Excellent dishes - delivered safely bang on time - we will most certainly be ordering from Luc's again!

When the food finally arrived it was inedible, everything tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil with a fishy hint. Tried to call the restaurant to resolve this but they didn't answer. The food is still relatively untouched but now lives in the bin. Waste of 3 hours of my life and over £30.

Shockingly late!! Never again! Was due 1 hour 40 mins from time ordered. Then a further 20 mins delay. The restaurant wouldn't answer the phone!

Ordered online at 2pm for 6.40pm delivery. Takeaway changed this to 7.10pm and food actually arrived at 7.35pm. No answer when tried to call to chase it up. Food not very hot, only lukewarm, but tasted very good so would eat from here again.
