Food delivered well over an hour late from the time given when ordered. Utterly vile is the best description I can give from my 58 years of eating chinese takeaway food. Please avoid.

Easily the best Chinese in Aberdare. Absolutely love the Chow Mein, Cripsy Beef, Chicken Curry, Mini Spring Rolls, Fried Rice, Gravy (bit odd I know but it's nice!) sweet and sour sauce, chicken balls, pork balls and um I think that's all I've tried so far. Great food, service is usual quick if you collect, delivery can take some time when busy but I've never had a cold meal on delivery. Only thing that bugs me is I can't pay by card :(

Was visiting a friend I worked with back in Hong Kong and we took a drive and ended up in Aberdare, stopped for food and yeah, this is your average western style chinese takeout. Great for the locals but rubbish for those used to the real thing! Edit: Never mind, read the reviews after posting, even the western foodies hate it!

Had a meal for 4 ppl last night and food was cold and over cooked never going back 😒

Food was cooked the night before chicken balls were rock fryed rice was really hard and I was having one 3 nights a week wouldn't say sorry after they said they can't waste food so sorry I wrote this but it was a knightmare !!!!? Total let down Ater so many meals with no issues !as pay good money expect a decent meal

Ordered food for my family fancied some BBQ spare ribs. Waited 50 mins which I was advised on phone food arrived hot opens my BBQspare ribs and BBQ wasn't what I got if I'd known they turned up in gravy which I've never ever seen before o would have boiled some spuds and done a dinner very disappointed by this as rest of family did enjoy there food

I buy from here all the time the food is always good and delivers quickly.

Very disappointed. The special fried rice was dry and bbq ribs was dripping in thick gravy. Nothing about it tasted chinese.

Had food this evening. Was recommended by a friend, tbh it was not that good. Rice was dry, tasteless. Wont be going there again.

Not very nice at all ordered from here for the first time and am not very impressed the curry is really thin and runny and chips taste very uncooked defiantly won't be ordereding from here again!!

Crispy beef was disgusting, no sauce....very disappointing....bad enough to never go there again !!!!

I have used this place for over 30 years and have never had a bad meal this in my opinion is the best, I have on occasion tried others only to come back here because they are that good ( only been to others when forgot this one shuts on Tuesdays) hope they keep going for another 30 years well done I always recommend these to any one looking for a good Chinese take away.

I have been going to Lucky Start for many years and I think they are excellent. Very clean, very polite and the food is delicious. The service is great, just ring them and submit your order and it will be ready in ten minutes......just enough time to get there in the car and pick it up. Great!!!! Darran From Aberdare
