Lucky Penny Fish Bar in Sandwell

Food was ok before, chips were really soggy, but lady tried on 2 different occations to short change me, wont go back there again.

Food was the worse I’ve ever had ! The Indian woman is the rudest woman ever! When I asked for a refund as the chips tasted funny and like rubber she refused started to shout at me! I advise everyone to avoid ! The worse food ever !!!!!!!!!

DO NOT EAT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ILL FOOD POISONING THROWING MY GUTS UP NON STOP FROM THIS CHIPPY!

They haven't a clue can bearly speak English asked for chicken breast they gave some scruffy looking under cooked chicken that wouldn't even fill up a 5 year old . Total waste of money !!!

asked for a mixed kebab on its own and when i got back it had extra i dint ask for like other sauces and extras i didnt ask for

I've swerved this chippy for many years because I've heard so many things which aren't so great, but thought I'd check it out for myself today. All I got were chips, but they were lovely, hot, and fresh. I'm tired of all the battered Black Country style chips around here, so was nice to get some normal ones. Guess I've learned my lesson to not believe everything I hear.

Purchased mini fish and chips from here and when I got home to eat it the fish was raw inside, it had only just been cooked but it was all raw inside and the chips were hard and dry never going back to this place.

Tried the shop for the first time in years. Much improved. Generous portions, properly cooked. All cooked from fresh. Excellent fish and chips. Place does need a refurb.

Chips can be great or bad on the the day depending what time of the day. There battered fish Is a no for me.

very bad quality. I went for chips and when i got home they were very stale and dry. i just threw the chips in the bin straight away. The staff are never happy as well

Anyone who goes here for food seriously needs to try other chippies, place is horrible, nasty food, nasty staff wouldnt go again if yu paid me, been there a few times as a one of type thing and never gets any better

The food at this chippy has been so delicious recently. Ever since that short guy's not working there, the food's been much much better. The chips are now cooked properly and they are honestly so much more tastier. The chips are now cooked perfectly and I've been going a lot more regularly. I advise everyone else to pay a visit too.

Great food and great staff. But since the virus started going around, we haven't been in any fast food place at all. As soon as we can stop social distancing, this place is my first stop for good food I didn't cook myself.

The staff is so rude! I come in here almost everyday because it’s the closest place after work. The staff never seem happy to see customers, always frowning. I understand it’s a long day so I try to be friendly regardless. There’s a sign that says they take card but it really depends on if they’re in the mood or not and they act like it’s such a huge inconvenience. Asking for their opinion or adding things to your order is such a massive inconvenience for them. They openly roll their eyes and shake their head and huff and puff like you’ve refused to pay them. Especially the man. I won’t be coming here again. The food isn’t worth it. It’s overpriced and they are honestly honestly rude.

Today he apologised about him being rude and served us nicely so ill give him 3 stars he was being a good today 🙂👍🏽

This employ was swearing at me and saying im not giving you food get out just becouse we asked how much is the chiken and the other employ was drunk and sayed we will beat you up

I'm from Bournemouth so only get to the Midlands a couple times a year visiting family. As kebabs in Bournemouth are so expensive I enjoy indugling when here.😃 This place hits the spot. Their kebab meat and chips are delicious (lamb & chicken) at a good price too.

Absolute rubbish chip shop lately, last time i use the place.

Used to be a great chippy food has gone way downhill chips all rock hard like there being re-heated the kebab i had was very over cooked 2nd time I've tried it since it was taken over there won't be a 3rd time alot better chip shops around

Food is ok but the Price is to high for the quality of the food and they never pick up the phone if u want to pre-order food rang 5 times for 3 minz each time as i was on my way up there they still didnt pick up when igot there it was empty so had no reason not to pick up ( i rang up untill i got there )
