Lucky Dragon in Middlesbrough

This place is atrocious, food stank to high heaven, dirty oily smell, hairs in the food. Came hot but inedible. I never leave reviews for places, but this had to be done to warn others.. Its a definate no go for food.

Heard so many good things about this restaurant so we decided to order, worse mistake ever, all food swimming in oil, house special chow mein, no mushroom, prawns , veg, only a few onions, very oily, curry sauce swimming in oil. Worst chinese meal ever

I ordered a takeaway from here on recommendation of my daughter as she had had one before. We ordered chicken curry with extra prawns(£2.50 for 5 prawns), special sweet and sour. We also ordered at extra cost a portion of boiled rice, portion of chips and portion of noodles. The food was delivered within time and looked nice that is where it ended.

First time at takeaway and will definitely go back. Lovely food and friendly staff. Good choice of dishes and very tasty

Made an account just for this review. In disbelief. Saturday night ruined. “Crispy” beef dish was nothing but soggy flavourless muck. The batter on the beef was so soggy I couldn’t taste any beef; and it was chewy. Also ordered the “mini snack box”, I praise the chicken but the box was 90% cheap and greasy chips with hardly any salt and pepper seasoning. Just avoid this place, money wasted and had to cook instead. Go to Royal China down the road, it’s perfect every time and better prices. Only tried lucky dragon as a one off and I’m very disappointed, and, definitely not lucky.

I used to always order from here, it was my go to chinese and i would never order from anywhere else but i dont know what has happened to this place. The menu is going right down hill, it is the only chinese i know that doesnt sell chicken balls, chicken maryland or even gravy. They dont even bother to cook the ribs individually anymore they come as a rack of ribs. Its such a shame but its fair to say i dont eat from this chinese anymore.

That is now 2 times in a week we’ve ordered munch box with extra over 25 pounds worth of food and absolutely vile. Rice had no egg just a week old rice been thrown in microwave and reheated. Chips disgusting ate better out of Iceland. The salt and pepper chicken vile tasted like sausage steer well clear a few years ago this was a lovely place now just take your money and forget what food quality is vile vile vile

Usually spot on the lucky dragon box but this one tonite we picked up as were from eston it was absolutely vile chips wernt even cooked properly rice was dry as the ribs were full of fat and they have changed the chicken balls to these dirty cheese ring things that look like onion rings. Who even had cheese rings on a Chinese not worth £17 at all and won't be using again

After a friend recommended this place to us, we haven't looked back. Fantastic service, friendly staff, fantastic value for money and fast delivery. Best place in the area in my opinion.

the food was mediocre but far too much salt, i didn't enjoy it at all really, doubt i'll go back plus the staff aren't the best

Used to be the best takeaway in the area and been a customer for many years, food is good but delivery service is appalling. Sad to say that we will not use Lucky Dragon again!

One of our favourite places to order from! We order from here extremely regularly as we enjoy the food that much. Food is always hot, cooked well and decently sized. Unfortunately during their busy periods their quality slips ever so slightly (as I presume they’re cooking in big batches). They also run a weekly Facebook competition to win food which is excellent for promotion and excellent for the winner!

Always nice food and good delivery times, some of the sides are over priced only gripe but well worth a try
