We visited for lunch and were impressed with both the service and the food. They have a good gluten free selection too. The mix of salads are fresh and interesting, and the menu is extensive and good value for money.

Wonderful service, fantastic food with the most amazing variety of different salads. We’ve yet to try the cakes as our main dish is always so satisfying but these look fabulous! A little gem of a cafe, we love the one in York also!

Came here for breakfast whilst in the city. What we were served was an absolutely beautiful English breakfast and latte. If you’re in the city, I would highly recommend this establishment

We’ve come here on several occasions now as it’s a family favourite, mainly for the salad selection that goes with your main. You can’t book so it’s always a gamble if you will get a table or not, this time we did, in front of the kitchen area near the door. The service was lovely, as always and the food is just wonderful. I like to mix up my salad selection and can 100% recommend the roasted carrot, leek and chickpeas in tahini aswell as our favourite, the pasta with mushrooms in honey and mustard dressing. The paninis (the mains) were delicious as always. Lots of tasty filling and some unusual combinations. My only tiny negative is I ordered a Diet Coke and you get the smallest tiny glass with ice and lemon so not much of the actual drink itself. I can honestly say it’s probably the equivalent of half a can. I would have said something but I was with my teenage daughter who hates it when I do so I left it. All in all though and as always, a lovely lunch with lovely service. We will be back (and if I’m not with my daughter, I may question the drinks situation!)

I popped in at lunchtime after being lured in by the delicious looking salads in the window. The staff were so friendly and helpful and whilst this seems to be more of a dine in cafe they were more than happy to accommodate my take away request. I ordered a frittata and 3 salads after having the menu explained to me by a lovely young lady. The salads were amazing and so fresh and tasty and the frittata was light and fluffy and packed full of flavour. With so many places to choose from in Leeds city centre this cafe is really a hidden gem and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting something different and tasty at lunchtime. I can't wait to visit again to try some of the tempting looking cakes they had on offer!

I have been here around 5 times now and the food has always been excellent - unique, fresh and super tasty. The type of food is unlike anywhere else I’ve found in Leeds and it’s not just a sandwich and crisps like many places. The cakes are also to die for (choc orange cake is my fave). It’s downside is how busy it always is to the ratio of waiting staff.

We was looking for a nice place to have breakfast & so glad we found this Gem of a place. We were greeted straight away & even though it looked full they took us to a table upstairs. All staff were friendly & efficient on ensuring we were happy throughout our stay. We got our drinks quite quickly & not long after our food. Presentation of food was good & looked appetising. The best part was the experience of the taste in all the food that was on the plate. Everything cooked beautifully & flavours were excellent. I had eggs benedict done on focaccia bread, ham hock pieces, 2 perfectly cooked eggs & the best tasting hollandaise sauce I've ever had, with a leafy salad at the side which was a nice touch & complemented the dish. My hubby had full English & all was tasty & cooked perfect. We will definitely visit again when we are in Leeds.

Visited half a dozen times previously but really disappointed with the service today. We will not be visiting again for sure. Such a shame as we love the food but don’t pay good money to be made to feel that awkward as the service was so poor.

Loved the one in York so given the Luky Days in Leeds a go twice now and gotta say... its a hard pass Both times i had eggs it tasted asthough they had been cooked in boiling water with quite alot of vinegar which isnt the vibe. Another thing that isnt great is how quiet upstairs is... maybe get some music on or something even if it's chilled as the only thing you can hear is the floor creaking and the staff in the kitchen. i work in hospitality aswell so don't want to be a Karen but coming for breakfast and all you can hear is pots clattering, staff shouting in the kitchen and creaky floors isnt somewhere I would go for a chilled breakfast. Im sure the atmosphere is different when you sit outside in the sun but for the leeds store, the upstairs area is not it.

I love this place. Came before a few years ago and delighted to see it reopened with new owners after previous owners went travelling for a year. Excellent mixed salad lunch and cappuccino. Great upstairs with good street view. Warm. No irritating music. A place to linger. Service efficient and friendly but tailed off somewhat which was a pity as I might have had more to eat after salad and more to drink after cappuccino, had anyone come and asked, hence four stars rather than five. But great food, great venue, relaxed ambience.

The worst place in Leeds for lunch! I can’t put in to words just how bad our experience was. The cake was simply AWFUL! Probably because the cakes were sat sweating in the window. Dry and warm (but not intentionally so). And as a final kick in the teeth, the bill was extortionate and they charge for every little thing e.g £1.20 for a cheap small scoop of ice cream. Service was poor, food was poor, felt totally ripped off.

Good food, reasonable prices but staff need to up their game! We had a light lunch there recently and were out off our food by the staff behind the counter comparing notes on the colour and consistency of their recent pukes! When we pointed it out our waitress said “Oh yeah, sorry guys, We forgot that conversations travel that far!” Bear in mind that it is a tiny space so no conversation is going to remain confidential! A tad more professionalism wouldn’t go amiss.

It’s not often that I write bad reviews as I usually have an eye for a good café or restaurant when I see one. Unfortunately, I was left very disappointed by my trip to Lucky Days in Leeds and regretted the visit. We ordered an open sandwich each with the selection of three salads. The bread was dry, as were the salads such as the cous cous and coleslaw. The meal didn’t taste fresh and I had to leave the majority of it. My order also came wrong and the salad selection wasn’t what I had ordered. However, I had a nice coffee, the service was okay but the quality of the food really didn’t live up to the price.
