Just moved to Edinburgh and were delighted to find this gem! Food was really tasty and came quickly! Will make it our regular

Excellent food delivered before the stated time.

Orange chicken was not crispy and instead soaked in orange juice

Our local chinese shut down and have tried a couple new ones without success and Lucky Chen is now our new favourite! The food was great, very tasty and arrived hot. Delivery was speedy too. Highly recommend and cant wait to order again.

Delivery was fine apart from food being ‘fairly’ warm. I asked for NO ONIONS or any other vegetables in the curry though, there was enough onion to completely fill a container so obviously the notes were ignored. Rice was dry & quite hard

This was so good, it’s been a long time since I’ve had good food like that. It was all fresh and crispy, honestly 10 out of 10

Yet to have a decent Chinese takeaway in Scotland. I think I'll just give up. Restaurants have ranged from excellent to average, maybe I've just been unlucky.

Delivery, as always, was super quick! Everything was there and perfectly pleasant, as usual! Great place to order from!

Hit the spot every time. Also like the chicken curry aswel with fried noodles. The chips are bad but there like that in every chinese takeaway in UK, curry sauce is very good.

LUCKY CHEN IS THE BEST CHINESE IN EDINBURGH. They always turn up early straight to your door and everything tastes amazing!! Even when you reheat the happiness never stops!!

Food always good and hot and delivered early

Tried this place for the first time because of all the good reviews. Disappointed though, the food was bang average at best. Nothing tasted like much of anything, very bland. Very disappointing salt and chilli chicken. Won’t be ordering again unfortunately, not worth the hype

Staff are always welcoming, friendly and trustworthy. Food is great only downside is sauces used in food can be quite runny and not thick enough but overall for the price great food and service

I order a few times a year to treat myself and they never disappointed me! Delivery is reasonable (not too short, but often ahead of the estimated time). Food always hot. So far, they’ve always complied with my requests for some dishes. If anything, I’m a lover of spicy and I think they don’t go crazy enough on spicy for my taste (still reasonably spicy, however!). The food is not greasy at all ( like some other, cheaper Chinese eateries will have), portions are generous (I often heat up what’s left in a wok the day after and it tastes even better !) I genuinely don’t understand the negative reviews! If you like to have a good choice of Chinese food that is not greasy but more like the real thing, this is the place to go!

delivery took absolutely ages. After a while the delivery expected time was even put back. it was put back to 2 hours after we ordered. No one orders food 2 hours before they want to eat it.

Food was good, especially for the price! And they gave freebies when you spend over a certain amount. However, the only thing was that they got my order wrong, but to be fair it was a mass order, but still would've been nice if they hadn't. And the wonton soup was good, but they put in just regular iceberg lettuce when in the photos on the menu it was bok choi.

Use lucky chen all tbe time but very disappointed in my meal: Duck spring roll - lots of spring onion very little duck, and greasey King prawn chow mein-no taste very bland no vegetable or sauce very dry not very appealing and cold, prawns tasted funny, waste of money, 😡

Good food but delivery driver was rude, angry and yelling at me. He could barley speak english (which is ridiculous in an English speaking country) so i did not know why he was yelling at me on my property. Don’t order from here until they get a better delivery driver he was an awful nasty man.

Best Chinese near stenhouse - Edinburgh!! They never fail! Always 10/10. Fair size portions, always comes hot. Dont be put off by negative reviews... this place is amazing!

Ordered today (10/12/23) through Uber eats and waited over 2 hours for delivery... had to complain to Uber eats for a full refund... never again!

ordered 3 things chicken satay, a chicken chow mein and portion of chips and when order came the chips were microwaved and tasted as if they was left out for hours before they was microwaved and never got the chicken satay instead we got chicken in black bean sauce which am allergic to some of the ingredients that's in it, phoned the restaurant and the customer service was terrible

Was very disappointed, most of the meal was not enjoyable. My husband wasn’t able to eat his at all. Such a shame considering we spent over £30 :-(

chicken curry and starter were lovely. delivery driver was great.

I order my food to be delivered for 9.30pm it arrived at 10.20 . the food was cold had to heat it up in microwave. threw out the chip as they where cold and soggy. normally food here is great but on Friday was extremely poor .

BE CAREFUL ORDER. Our favourite takeaway had closed this week. EXTREMELY rude drivers. Stone cold and hard brick. We keep open minded to try somewhere else. Curry was bland and tasteless. Salt pepper had no season in it. Sweet and sour chicken were swimming in the watery sauce which is very bland. Couldnt taste any sour but sicky sweet. Wont advise anyone to place an order here.

Best Chinese food I've ever had.

Arrived earlier than I was expecting which was nice and delivered by a nice friendly smiling person. I really liked the spring onions in the foo yung. Those made it extra tasty. They would be nice in the soup too. 😋😁

Aromatic duck was dry and tasteless

Rice was all stuck together like it was reheated, salt and chilli chips were overdone and so dry with no seasoning and beef was overloaded with chillies. Really disappointed and waste of £20. Ordered it at 1742 received at 1920
