Cold food, very salty BBQ sauce on the ribs and BBQ sauce was also through the chow mein so meal was also very salty had to bin the food!

Ironically when you’re told your food will be delivered at 6:20pm and it comes at 5:50pm and you’re not ready is annoying. Food as always is good!!

Best Chinese I have had in a while. I had the chicken curry with extra spice. Was delicious so will definitely be back.The only thing I was disappointed with that I had to spend 18 pound before I could get a delivery so a bit expensive when getting a delivery on my own plus my can of juice was warm.

Food wasn’t its best today. Chow Mein was very salty and dry. Also not a lot of Curry sauce in the rice &chips with curry sauce. Again pretty dry. Don’t usually have any problems. Maybe a different chef today.

Our local chinese shut down and have tried a couple new ones without success and Lucky Chen is now our new favourite! The food was great, very tasty and arrived hot. Delivery was speedy too. Highly recommend and cant wait to order again.

Delivery was fine apart from food being ‘fairly’ warm. I asked for NO ONIONS or any other vegetables in the curry though, there was enough onion to completely fill a container so obviously the notes were ignored. Rice was dry & quite hard

Yet to have a decent Chinese takeaway in Scotland. I think I'll just give up. Restaurants have ranged from excellent to average, maybe I've just been unlucky.

Hit the spot every time. Also like the chicken curry aswel with fried noodles. The chips are bad but there like that in every chinese takeaway in UK, curry sauce is very good.

LUCKY CHEN IS THE BEST CHINESE IN EDINBURGH. They always turn up early straight to your door and everything tastes amazing!! Even when you reheat the happiness never stops!!

Tried this place for the first time because of all the good reviews. Disappointed though, the food was bang average at best. Nothing tasted like much of anything, very bland. Very disappointing salt and chilli chicken. Won’t be ordering again unfortunately, not worth the hype

Staff are always welcoming, friendly and trustworthy. Food is great only downside is sauces used in food can be quite runny and not thick enough but overall for the price great food and service

I order a few times a year to treat myself and they never disappointed me! Delivery is reasonable (not too short, but often ahead of the estimated time). Food always hot. So far, they’ve always complied with my requests for some dishes. If anything, I’m a lover of spicy and I think they don’t go crazy enough on spicy for my taste (still reasonably spicy, however!). The food is not greasy at all ( like some other, cheaper Chinese eateries will have), portions are generous (I often heat up what’s left in a wok the day after and it tastes even better !) I genuinely don’t understand the negative reviews! If you like to have a good choice of Chinese food that is not greasy but more like the real thing, this is the place to go!

delivery took absolutely ages. After a while the delivery expected time was even put back. it was put back to 2 hours after we ordered. No one orders food 2 hours before they want to eat it.

Food was good, especially for the price! And they gave freebies when you spend over a certain amount. However, the only thing was that they got my order wrong, but to be fair it was a mass order, but still would've been nice if they hadn't. And the wonton soup was good, but they put in just regular iceberg lettuce when in the photos on the menu it was bok choi.

Use lucky chen all tbe time but very disappointed in my meal: Duck spring roll - lots of spring onion very little duck, and greasey King prawn chow mein-no taste very bland no vegetable or sauce very dry not very appealing and cold, prawns tasted funny, waste of money, 😡
