Lucky Chef in The Vale of Glamorgan

My normal takeaway was closed on Monday so I went to the Lucky Chef.. lucky me! Fresh, tasty, and really good food. This is my new normal.

This was our first visit to this takeaway since we moved back to Barry, the food was excellent, the service was great, will certainly use it again.

Excellent Chinese takeaway always good food and fast service. They do offer a delivery service as well

Brilliant little Chinese take away. Food always great, always ready on time, still good prices. Blink and you would miss it though !! I have tried several Chinese in Barry over the past 10 years, but always come back here,it would be silly not to !!

Good food , ALWAYS ready on time or earlier. Decent prices. Have tried several others in Barry, and haven't found better. Would highly recommend

ordered take away sat 31st july, had the special chow mein and it was the worst chow mien i have ever had. Topping the noodles with pork and sprinkling it with a red dye does not constitute being called Chinese pork, and putting two asda frozen miniature prawns in the meal does not make it king prawn. Absolutely no taste to the meal, more noodles then meat. We also had the starter of spare ribs in sauce, soaking the ribs in a liquid with more red dye does also not constitute real Chinese spare ribs Also the fortune cookie must have been made during the days before the building of the great wall of china as when i tried to break it open it just bent because it was that old it refused to snap open. the wife had the duck curry and give them their due she did enjoy that,. maybe they need a cookery coarse in Chinese cooking. the other last comments i have read said that this is the best Chinese in Barry, thank god i never went to the worst. I will never be ordering again, and neither will my friends and family who could not believe what i was given when they saw my order, so it was not just my opinion

I been there all the time having food, omg the rice and the chicken balls are LUSH. i dont know how to describe the tastyness. I always get free prawncrackers aswell because i ordered over £20. brilliant chinese. Really busy in the shop too. its all worth the wait! i wont go to anywhere else to order chinese all my life.

The best in barry by a mile. The only Chinese restaurant that are consistently good. Moving from Cardiff i have found it hard to find a half decent Chinese in barry as all are tasteless and shocking with their prices. The last one to try was lucky chef but I didn't hold my breath but thank god I gave it a go its now my number 1 takeaway will not go anywhere else

Best Chinese in Barry, have been going here for years and never dissatisfied.... not once!! ☺️ All dishes are so tasty and portion size is brilliant!
