We visited as a group of 6 friends. Some of our group had already been for food here, and had been so enthusiastic about it, that we arranged this meal. We had lunch, and tried several dishes and the cheese and platter board between us, and wine suggested by the owner and his son. It was a brilliant meal, food was great, wine very good, but the atmosphere was like our visits to France, relaxed and friendly, nothing to rush for, very nice. I think you are likely to have to book ahead, it seemed very busy and popular. Great afternoon.

Found this place by chance and what a find! Absolutely fantastic wine bar with an exceptional wine and cheese choice. Amazing ambience, Luc and his son were the perfect hosts, would definitely recommend this place. Prices for a wine bar were very cheap compared to most others I have visited, wish I had a place like this where I lived. My partner speaks French so this was a bonus too, although Luc's English is perfect.

I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed by my experience. It is only a small place, but always busy, which I saw as a good sign. The selection of wine was fabulous and my glass of prosecco was delicious, however we ordered a chocolate fondant (one of my favourite desserts) and assumed being a French restaurant that it would be fantastic. I was wrong, it came out very overcooked, to the point it wasn't even slightly gooey inside, it was rubbery. I think maybe it had been microwaved and forgotten about. I would come back for a drink, but if a French read can't get a chocolate fondant right, then that gives me doubts about any other food.

Had a takeaway from Luc’s Saturday afternoon. This place is great in normal times but it has to be the tastiest takeaway in Romsey. Just had their Tartiflette . It was a taste explosion. Bloody lovely. Also some beautiful wines to takeaway. Support your local small business in these hard time .

Luc's is a family run French café & delicatessen that I don't really want to review because its getting more difficult to get a table so I would like to keep it a secret. A fine range of wines and amazing foods on offer. The café side of things is great, Luc is assisted by his son Louis, but book in advance to ensure you get a table where you can feast on cold meat and cheese platters, tartiflette and raclette or just a tasty baguette. It is great value but I personally like the jovial atmosphere just as much as the food and wine.During lockdown Luc is offering a Takeaway service so you can still savor the French delights in the comfort of your own home.

Luc makes great sandwiches fresh. And has an interesting range of wines. And the customer service is excellent. He remained open throughout lockdown. Full credit for doing that, and doing it to such an exceptional standard. Places like Luc are rare and should be treasured.

I'm a repeat customer of Luc's now and truly appreciate the delicious offerings this shop provides for the Romsey community. The owner is a very friendly Frenchman who has excellent customer service and exquisite taste. The gourmet platters of meats and cheeses and the splendid wines they offer are the perfect pair. I'd highly recommend the truffle prosciutto and the Delice De Bourgogne just to name a couple.

We were looking forward to having lunch here again after our first enjoyable visit about 12 months ago. This time we were very disappointed . We looked at the menu and ordered two coffees a cheese baguette and a vegatables tarte and side salad. My husbands cheese baguette had three chunks of cheese no accompanying salad or even butter to help hold it together it looked very unattractive sat on the plate , my vegatables tart was a very small portion barely a couple of mouthfuls and a small side salad on the edge . The coffees were also disappointing I ordered a flat white and my husband ordered a latte you literally could not tell which was which and I do know about coffee and am barista trained these were so weak and disappointing. I did mention my disappointment when I paid at the til but the young gentleman who served us seemed uninterested . I very rarely complain but this experienced means that we will not return on our next visit to Romsey.

Charming little cafe serving authentic French food.Food highlights were the twice baked soufflé' and the Raclette cheese dish, where you are provided with your own small grill to melt the cheese at the table and pour it over steamed potatoes, alongside a selection of cold meats. My wife and I visited for lunch (the hours are around 10.00-17.00). The atmosphere is great and the shop/cafe was almost full. The stools have a back-rest and are more comfortable than they look. My wife had a twice-baked souffle (7.95), which was delicious. I had one of six pates offered, wild board pate. It was a large portion, served with bread salad leaves and cornichons. (7.95). Both dishes were very tasty and looked good on the plate. Wine by the glass is available, but there is only red wine and one white. My Italian red was very tasty and accompanied the pate well. This is an interesting place to visit. The host, Luc, is very charming and attentive.

The place to go. Pick your favourite bottle of wine off the shelf or a nice cold bottled beer, combine that with first class charcuterie or other nibbles. Roll in oodles of charm and hospitality and you find yourself in a little corner of France. Luc, Louis and the rest of the team are fantastic. We’re lucky to have them. A great place, slightly different to anything else and all the better for it. Ignore the few moaners who don’t get it, or don’t and leave more room in this great little place for those of us that do. First class, lovely nibbles, fantastic wines, great atmosphere and superb people. Viva la France in Romsey.

Think it was my first visit into romsey, even though I live in Southampton never really visited romsey town centre. My partner and me were just walking a round wanting a coffee mainly and saw this little gem, captures your eye from the outside and a very nice set up inside. If your into your cheese and hams then I defiantly recommend. Opted for the cheese souffle with a side of fresh bread, was absolutely delicious, most possibly the best I've ever tasted. I am gobsmacked by the earlier poor review as Luc's has become a much loved place by so many people and is a fabulous addition to Romsey. It really is a unique establishment where we love to relax, enjoy the top quality food on offer and sample the delicious wines which are stocked. Luc and Louis are always charming and engaging, whilst going out of their way to create a welcoming and laid back ambience which is much appreciated. It truly is an oasis and we love the fact that background music is courtesy of a French radio station! With regards to being overpriced - what a load of rubbish!!! Every visit, we are stunned when the bill arrives as it always represents such fantastic value for money. Luc - keep doing everything just as you are and thank you for creating this little gem which so many of us wholeheartedly enjoy.

I popped in to buy my friend a birthday present- I was hoping to find a nice bottle of gin or a creme de cassis, which I knew they sold. When I went in, the man serving greeted me at the door and said they do not sell what I was looking for, and that I’d be ‘better off in Waitrose’ (I didn’t want to go to Waitrose because I wanted to support local businesses) I pointed out the priced bottles of gin and creme de cassis behind him, and he repeated that I should go elsewhere. When I left I felt very belittled. A really pretentious place, you’re much better going to Dish Deli and Kitchen a few doors down- a much friendlier and more helpful place.
