I'v visited this restaurant many times and it is always amazing friendly and fantastic food. But last night I brought my 9 work colleagues to the restaurant They were very impresses with everything and loved the food So many thanks for a great evening

A wonderful evening out to a little piece of France. The soup (Leek & Potato) was beautifully flavoured and the steak was perfectly cooked with crispy fries. We had a great time and will definitely be returning!

A touch pricey but easily worth it. Genuinely French.

Went Southampton to visit relatives & they brought us to this French restaurant in Romsey (about 20 mins drive from Southampton) for lunch. Love the wine! The red wine tasted so fine & smooth 😋 and the food too are very well prepared :-) The dessert is a bit sweet though… We went on a Friday afternoon, & it was not crowded so really had a good time there :-)

Authentic french cuisine with gorgeous art deco interior and a great bar area to relax in too. The menu is excellent. Great place to spend an evening with friends. Especially outside on the terrace. You won't be disappointed.

The food is delicious, especially the baked goat cheese. The taste is mellow and just right. There are many types of draft beer to choose from. Friendly staff.

Staff looked after our group well, food was lovely and arrived in good time.

Six of us went for lunch today, however we were somewhat disappointed. The base of the onion tarts were so tough we could not cut them and one of us had chips which were cold. However, the others who had chips were fine as were the mini desserts. I personally will not be rushing back.

Yesterday a friend and I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant, there was a really good atmosphere, all the staff were very attentive helpful and friendly and all the menus were great , Well done to you all, If I have the chance to return I will, Thank you, Marc Etheridge.

Not been here for a while and was a pleasant surprise to see it open Saturday afternoon so stopped to have a couple of drinks after the Romsey Show.

Had drinks in here with my husband-son and a friend. We sat outside, lovely evening. We had finished our drinks was going to order more until a Asian bloke came out to take our empty glasses away. He took my husbands and friends but left mine and my sons and gave us a filthy look. People of colour are not welcome in there and it made us feel uncomfortable. This is one place i will not be visiting again.

Always good. A regular spot for us, especially for lunch

Knowing how good the food is here I popped in for a cheeky dinner with my son...Croque Madame for me and Brie 'n' Bacon roll for the little dude. Absolute perfection as always.

Would have loved a bit more French dressing on salad with my tomato and onion starter. With the duck would have loved a bit of sweet ie orange cherry would have completed the dish but overall very nice food great atmosphere lovely servers and yes will come back for more x

loved the food, but i was sitting by the window, and the net curtains were unhygienic and ripped, spoilt the whole experience as felt dirty. But 10/10 food.

I visit every year for the past 5 years and always have the whole dover sole unfortunately it has been removed from the menu which is fine but to my disappointment it has been replaced with half a fillet of seabass yes you read that correctly half a fillet .Honestly do they think there customers are stupid shame because it was cooked very well but we left hungry and it's not cheap

My favourite place to eat never had a bad meal love the posters real French atmosphere.

A favourite local restaurant - always excellent food and friendly staff.

Very friendly bar restaurant, I have eaten in there in the distant past but this time we just stopped in for a nice drink. We sat inside but there was a few tables outside to enjoy the last of the afternoon sun and cooler evening. With French speaking bar staff it was all very nice.

Starters great. Severely let down by the veg for main course. Cheap tasteless diced vegetables. Meat was great and desserts were good. Too pricey to serve cheap vegetables.

Popped in for lunch without booking, sat on the pleasant terrace outside on a sunny Thursday in Romsey. Polite and friendly service, especially from Lucy, and a varied menu to choose from. We went for the egg mayonnaise to start with which was tasty with a French twist, and the 'Quiche of the day' (Lorraine) and salad for main course. Beautiful food, and a wide wine choice. Highly recommended.

Very good value for delicious food.

The waiter's service was average. He didn't add water or take the initiative to bring plates. The side dishes tasted like quick-frozen vegetable bags bought in the supermarket. There were ice particles in the dessert ice cream. The price was not cheap and the price/performance ratio was very low.

A restaurant located on a main thoroughfare in Romsey. There is a car park just behind that is free after 4pm. The layout looks as if it was a pub at one time & there were customers sitting in the front part having a drink. It has a comfortable feel, the tables laid out symmetrically & neat. You feel that you are in a place that cares for its customers. There is also outdoor seating. We visited midweek & had booked the table early but others did arrive while we were there. The food was excellent, pate & toast for starters & my steak was cooked as requested, finishing with crème caramel. We went for a set 3 course & had drinks to accompany it. You get what you pay for & I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for service & quality. We’d like to return with a later booking as I can imagine it would have a lively atmosphere.

Was here for a friend's birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the service attentive and friendly. A good choice of dishes, and the prix fixe menu offers good value. My vegetables were slightly overcooked but that may be down to personal taste and I'd rather that than have them undercooked. I would happily eat here again.

This was our 2nd visit to La Parisienne. The 1st being last Saturday lunch! We clearly liked it then… So decided on a return visit. I was a bit blown over with the set menu to be honest (the 1st time). Essentially this an a la carte quality 3 course menu for £25 a head with plenty of choice. There is also a bar and restaurant menu. My Pork Tenderloin in Roquefort cheers sauce with seasonal veg was a fry cry from the usual burger I would have ordered from a regular pub menu. Service was attentive but not intrusive and well deserving of a decent tip. Todays visit was a good old croque monsieur for a tenner which was equally great quality, but a different kind of pub lunch proposition, if that’s what you’re after. Clearly also popular with a few Rose quaffing locals, older couples and families alike there’s clearly something for everyone. Highly recommended, we’re popping back again with the kids!

Went to La Parisienne today for lunch with my father, excellent first class service, attentive, looked after, nothing too much trouble, very impressed, thank you so much and the lunch was good too!

Excellent restaurant, top quality food and service. Pastis, French Onion soup and roasted duck breast superb, matched with very good Cotes de Bourgogne wine. Others had steak and frites or duck confit...all very good. Expect £40 a head (or more) with wine...loved it.

Staff busy. A pub pretending to be a french cafe. But some details in the decor are wrong. Certainly the carpet. Food is good but not that special. Not somewhere I would go out of my way to return to.

Not been for a while, gladmy daughter booked!!! It was packed, it was an early Mums Day lunch, didn't disappoint. But no 0 alcohol wine or cocktails, very popular these days, missing a trick I think ....

We had a stunning lunch today. My Mother in Law wanted to be reminded of France and with Stefan and the team at La Parisienne, she had in her words “The highlight of her week.” Starters of St Jacques and king prawns for my Husband and MIL and mushroom and Roquefort tart with salad for myself. Followed by lamb cutlets, ribeye steak with Roquefort sauce and a fillet with peppercorn sauce for our mains. My MIL then had to have a Crème Brûlée to see if was as good as she remembered whilst in France- it lived up to expectation! My Husband and I shared an Isle Floatant which was light and refreshing. Finished off with a lovely coffee, it was a really super meal. In my MIL’s words “We will be back!”

Typically French the perfect venue for a Valentines Supper. Great food and wine, service could have been warmer but good overall.

Friends took us to this restaurant for lunch when we visited last weekend - they had been before and were full of praise, and we were not disappointed, it was a lovely restaurant with friendly, helpful staff and an authentic french feel to the place. The food was great too. We were there for a Saturday lunch and the place filled up very quickly so I'd suggest booking a table to avoid disappointment. If you have any special dietary requirements I'd also suggest calling ahead of visiting and discussing these with the staff - I'm certain they will be able to help.

La Parisienne is a lovely venue in Romsey. Great atmosphere inside and a lovely place to share a lunch with friends. Unfortunately, the food is sub standard and very overpriced. My starter of avocado and prawns was nice but expected better for £13.95. I chose a sirloin steak for main course at £27.95..it was tough, chewy, gristly and very poor quality. I made a polite comment to the head waiter to point out that it was not great and he gave me a filthy look. I wasn't looking for a refund or make a big complaint, but "I'm sorry madam" would have been nice.

Had a lovely dinner at La Parisienne. Decided to opt for the Pâté to start, the leg of duck and the Creme caramel. The duck was particularly excellent and I’d definitely recommend a visit if you age in Romsey.

Probably the best dining experience in Romsey. Authentic menu, the chef and staff are mostly French, including the owners. I’d recommend the fillet steak, it’s giant and cooked perfectly. Don’t be afraid of the snails, they taste great and you wouldn’t know what they are. No frogs legs unfortunately. The starter and salads are larger servings than you would expect. At the end of your meal ask for the espresso martini with your pudding, you won’t be disappointed. Free parking in private rear courtyard, (spaces are limited), but lots of other paid parking just outside the rear gates.

We didn't eat so gave 5 stars anyway but popped in for a beer. My favourite beer Stella was served. Not great had a twang and an old barrel smell to it. Yes I should have said something

Nice atmosphere but staff are quite rude. Menu is dated, and options for vegetarians or healthy eaters are non existent. The staff literally laughed at the vegans in our group. Had to ask multiple times for basic things like more wine or water - ot was as though everything we asked fit was difficult. I cannot understand why people like such terrible attitudes and say"its authentically french". I don't think the French are all rude.

Great lunch at this Romsey favourite which has been in business for around 30 years which has to stand for something. Pleasant staff (Lucy with the red hair is amazing) food was just what you expect I had a duck confit because I love it and never get tired of it. This place has had its ups and downs as you would expect being open for 30 yrs but the buzz in there yesterday lunch time was back as I remember it. Treat yourself to what is now a bit of Romsey’s history.

Just had to he most amazing meal thank you to the staff who were very welcoming ll would highly recommend the restaurant and the chef salad with smoked salmon and pepper steak was the best

Great place to go for a night out which has that extra quality & service. Great atmosphere too!!

What was once a lovely atmosphere for dining was taken over by unruly behaviour at the bar and gangs loitering around outside. Couldn’t get to tables for drunken people loitering at the bar. Empty tables on a Saturday night….. a real shame. The menu is also much smaller than before, but food and service was okay.

Absolutely beautiful. Great atmosphere, fantastic food. Great service. The goats cheese salad to start was sooo yummy. The t bone veal was tender and tasty, never seen it on a menu before. It was served with the most gorgeous veg. The ribeye was so tender, very little gristle. Roquefort sauce to die for. They ran out of chocolate mousse but heyho, saves the waste line 😄

As we were staying near Romsey asked various locals for the best place to eat and this was everyone's first choice. Having eaten there I am not surprised the whole experience was great. The staff were very pleasant and efficient and the food was amazing....

Hmmm, its ok, but, the waiter really didnt seem interested in any conversation other than our order. We did have a late sitting on a thursday but if you dont want our patronage at that time maybe dont take the booking. The menu is the same as always and quite limited.( in my opinion) A little disappointing and quite expensive for the food on offer. I really dont like to put bad reviews as its a persons livelyhood, but with eating out getting more and more expensive maybe they could offer a warmer welcome for starters??

Very disappointed, the food was very average My husband & I had the duck and it was really salty. Came with a few green beans, few baby carrots and few new potatoes, and it was all cold apart from the duck. The presentation was poor....

There is definitely room for improvement, the warm goats cheese salad was not warm the sea bass was over cooked and dry presentation of both those dishes was poor, there were some good points as well the onion soup was good as was the soft meringue the fillet steak was very well cooked but again lacked presentation and over priced. Excellent meal for one of my son's birthdays last night. We were a party of six and we had a delicious meal accompanied by superb French wines. Cannot fault the food. Service was somewhat chaotic as multiple people taking our orders! But it was also a busy evening anyway. We will definitely return! We'll done!

The veggie options are absolutely awful honestly, i hope you like onions and goats cheese because that's all you're getting. I had a 'special' vegetable soup, that tasted like a 75 year old lady's blended dinner.
