A busy little place food was bloody amazing. Would visit again when maybe it's not quiz night. Wouldn't like to mess with any of the women there...wow!

Great food, friendly atmosphere and even stayed for the pub quiz which was fab. Great night had by all, will definitely be going back.

Order was incorrect yet the staff at the bar said it was. Pork was salty and over seasoned with pepper, mash potato didn’t taste like potato tasted like smash. Will not be going back, gravy was like jelly….

Fab menu, very attentive and friendly staff.

Visited on a Wednesday evening and was very busy, the car park was full. Bar staff were friendly and efficient (nb any payments under £3 payment by cash). The food is excellent, pipping hot, delicious, and generous portions. Reasonable prices too. Quiz night on Wednesday, which seemed popular. Would definitely eat here again 😋.

Attended the quizz. Last orders not called. But behaviour of bar staff gave the impression last orders was 10:00 pm

It was the worst roast dinner I have ever had. The beef was so over cooked I couldn't cut it the cauliflower cheese was awful the cheese sauce was congealed the cauliflower was raw. The veg was frozen rubbish. It was pilled up on small plate and looked whole unappetising. The wait staff were good. But I won't go again

We ate here for the first time tonight and we are all so pleased we did! To my great surprise they do a dutch dish called kapsalon, it was almost as good as in the Netherlands! Our party also had the lamb shank and a beef and merlot pie which were also delicious, we will definitely be back!

A group of 16 of us ate there and the food was fantastic as always. Such friendly, welcoming staff to which always for a pleasant dining experience.

Food is good and the staff are really amazing but more worrying is the prices of drinks that keep being upped....this is no doing of the staff but for sure the higher management hiking up the prices.

We recently visited with friends for a meet up over a late lunch. Were too start, the menu has everything you could wish for. I decided to have Steak and 'CLUCK',yeh strange title but a fine piece of 8oz rump steak with a chicken breast,salad,fries,mushrooms,cherry tomatoes and Onion rings. My wife and her friend both had HUNTER'S Chicken ,1 with fries,1 with chips served with sweet chili and barbeque sauces respectively. Our friends husband probably had the pick of the bunch 'THE LOCKDOWN LUNCH BOX' Wow. Chicken wings, chicken strips,chips,breaded mushrooms,jalapen bites with cream cheese, garlic bread and salad leaves and dips of mayo.sweet chili and barbeque, he loved it though he did offer (which we accepted) various 'bits' as he was struggling. The food was all served fresh and hot (as they say we don't do fast food, but we do food as fast as we can). Clean plates. Oh yes. With 2 1/2's lager/lime,2 Guinness 0% and 2 INCH's cider and a diet COKE the total bill came to around £80 for the 4 of us. Considering it's local to where i live and i didn't know it was there, will i return, YES not if but when.

First time visiting here tonight, and it didnt disappoint. A good selection of food and drinks. The food arrived piping hot, and the portion size was amazing. I struggled to eat it all, it was cooked to perfection everything on the plate tasted great. I really enjoyed the whole meal. The staff were all very friendly and polite and made you feel welcome. It was really busy for a Wednesday, so i would book if you can. We will, definitely be going again.

Lovely food but have tried several times to ring them in order to book but no-one answers the phone. After many rings it cuts off so how does one book as you cannot book online?

Went here recently, having previously been here over ten years ago! Warm welcome, good food and drink options that are reasonably priced. Plenty of seating options in the bar and restaurant area. If you arrive by car during a busy time, you may find parking is difficult.

Been to this lovely pub a couple of times now, pleasantly surprised how consistent the amazing food is, had the cottage pie Yorkies followed by scrumptious cheesecake this time, staff are lovely and friendly, prices are also good! will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone. Can't believe we don't live that far away and have only just discovered this little Gem!!

Had been recommended to visit so decided to book for a lunchtime catch-up with family. Great recommendation, lovely food, steak, beautiful, loaded fries, large portion and very tasty, scampi yummy, and wow deserts to finish off, even though we shouldn't as the dinners were large portion. Honeycomb cheese cake, chocolate fudge cake, cherry crumble, wow again. Thank you to our lovely waitress Abby, we'll definitely come again, you need to book ahead as it's very busy, even on a Monday lunchtime

Been to this pub a few times and the service and food are second to none. The food looks and tastes amazing! Large portions, reasonable prices and great tasting food. If you haven’t tried this little gem of a pub then I highly recommend that you do! Will definitely be returning with the family for more more delicious food

Amazing Pub. We had a lovely meal here, for a birthday. The food was piping hot and came on time, the dining experience was also brilliant, with a warm, cosy atmosphere.

We visited here for the first time and we were both really impressed with the interior, the service and the food was amazing, we will definitely be visiting again.

Great staff and food, too busy and has god awful outdoor benches. Take care parking anything that has a low clearance as it's not potholes, it's straight sunken ground enough to trigger proximity warnings.

The pub was freezing cold had to wait over an hour for the food

Visited for the first time on a Saturday lunchtime. There was a table available so we ordered drinks. The food looked really good so we ordered and were not disappointed. The staff were lovely and friendly.

Amazing food especially the cauliflower cheese on a Sunday

They were busy so waited a little while to order. The menu is extensive but we had decided on Sunday Roast ,we were not disappointed. For £11.99 you get 2 good slices of meat , chicken ,beef and 1 other on offer , a Yorks Pud, large pig n blanket, stuffing, cauliflower & broccoli cheese, roast & new potatoes, red cabbage & 2 other veg plus individual jugs of a delicious homemade gravy . Very good value for money, more than enough to eat ! Tempted by the sweet choice we were glad of the fairly lengthy gap before choosing crumble of the week..cherry this time ..and custard. Again the size of the sweet was more than plentiful & I only managed half of mine . With 2 drinks each & change out of £50 we will definitely return . Along side Sunday Lunch they were serving from their normal menu too. Judging from the food coming out the portion sizes are more than generous. We will definitely return to sample several of the dishes on offer.

Visited the Loyal Lodge for a family meal. Great atmosphere as soon as we walked in, proper busy pub sounds. It was busy, but the bar staff were friendly and super efficient. Got served quickly with drinks and shown to our table. Food was terrific and great value. Freshly cooked, piping hot and cooked perfectly. This should be a benchmark for all pubs that serve food, will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend.

Popular local pub. Only went in for a drink as it was Christmas Eve. The place was quite busy, and everyone was enjoying themselves. Prices were reasonable. A good choice of beers & cask ales & wine. Notices in the pub stated that there are quiz & bingo nights. Reasonable amount of car parking. Will return to try the menu.

We(my two cousins and I)were booked in at the Sun at Romsley...service and lack of staff drove us away. I suggested the Loyal Lodge ...I'd been recently with my grandchildren. Lovely warm,beautifully Christmas decoratedroom and,smiling barmaid welcomed us ...aah,just perfect. Found our table,perused the menu(huge variety of delicious sounding food)ordered food and drinks and settled in our warm,comfortable seats. The food arrived and it was perfect. Hot,flavoursome,attractive and all round fab!! This delightful hostelry saved what could have been a very disappointing day and turned it into a lovely memory. Thankyou Loyal Lodge staff and chef for your service,your splendid food and your sweet smiles. We will be back.

Popped in for a few treats with some friends whilst on our break, and it did not disappoint! it had been my first time going to the Loyal Lodge and the service was absolutley outstanding and the food made itself out in no time. Food was served at a perfect temperature with a nice and friendly atmosphere to surround it. Really recommend the pulled pork nachos and cookie dough! They wont disappoint :)

If you go for the chicken pie you're going to be disappointed. It's more like creamy chicken with a puff pastry hat. Shame cos the service is top notch, I just felt deceived by the menu

Came for a Sunday roast. Staff, food, price and atmosphere were great but we had to wait over an hour for our roasts so that’s why I’ve not given 5*. When they arrived they were delicious. We will definitely be back!

Never visited this pub before but thoroughly enjoyed our meal there last week and couldn't get a booking tonight so others must think the same. My husband and grandson had the smothered chicken and hubby said it was the best he'd tasted. I had the beef lasagne and it was tasty but not the best I'd ever had!! It was quite busy because of the half price deal but enough space between tables and I didn't feel uneasy. Hope to return soon. I have had several meals here since my first visit, 2 years ago. The food is very good and the choice is a bit different to similar eateries in the area. As I'm retired, I can eat out at lunchtime and have to.mention the special deal of a meal for £5.50. It's very fair, not a particularly small portion either. There's also a dessert available on this menu, but I can't remember whether it is 99p or £1.99 , but a good deal anyway!!!! Another impromptu lunchtime visit. The menu has changed and prices have probably been increased like everywhere else. The Lite Bites are still available 12-4 pm at £5.95 and are by no means small portions. The deserts are £1.50, I think and again a good portion. The food is good and served piping hot. It was after 2pm when we arrived and few people eating inside but some tables taken outside as it is a beautiful October day. Staff are friendly and attentive. Recommended.

Arranged a family meal here today to celebrate my dad's retirement. Everything was perfect. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and how good the pricing was. Have never had a bad meal here. Thank you for being so accommodating.

I have come here a few times now and everytime it has been absolutely amazing. I can never fault anything when I come here. The mens toilet stall lock has been broken for a while. But apart from that, it's an amazing experience everytime that make you want to come back for more! Definitely a go-to for amazing food.

Loved this place! Came here last Sunday as a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 children). Loved the great variety on the menu. Was spoilt for choice! All the food we had was amazing. 2 Sunday dinners (chicken and pork) Yorkshire puddings filled with cottage pie Beef and merlot pie Steak and ale pie 2 of the kids mix grills (which is a great idea as they get a bit of everything!) Great atmosphere and we won the bingo! Good choice of drinks too. Will definitely be returning soon.
