I visited Lowe’s for the first time today. Everything here from the food, atmosphere and service were amazing! The pumpkin soup and the roast dinner were some of the nicest food I have ever had! I highly recommend a visit Lowe’s! I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

We had a very enjoyable dining experience at Lowes on Carter Street recently. The food was faultless, the ambience is perfect and all the staff were polite, approachable, friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the fact that the chef (owner) took time out to welcome us personally, and then at the end of service came back into the restaurant to ask how the evening had gone. It's great to have an outstanding restaurant in Uttoxeter and even more so to have it being run by local people. We'll definitely be going back there in the future and would recommend it to anyone.

Came here as a birthday surprise, wonderful warm welcome from Georgie on arrival. We had a nice table, well spaced, and a complimentary drink (it was my birthday 😊). The food was amazing, timely served and well presented. Staff were just perfect, evening was perfect. Many thanks team Lowes, we’ll definitely be back for more tasty treats.

You know you're in for a special experience when the chef joins you at your table to discuss your dietary intolerance and how he can adapt dishes to meet it! Very well cooked and flavourful food would recommend for anyone looking for something a little more upmarket, only minor things keeping this from a five star review. Cutlery was not replenished between courses so ended up using the same fork for starter and main. Cheeseboard came without a knife but this was quickly remedied by the extremely attentive staff Jade and Rob being standout. Looking forward to trying the other appealing options.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service as always. I loved the sausage and mash and we all loved the sticky toffee - what a treat. All the staff are so friendly and it’s really nice that George comes out to chat with everyone. Special shout out for our waitress Rachel who was both attentive and friendly. George and the team at lowes are truly brilliant, I have dined with them now on two separate occasions which both equally exceeded our expectations. George goes above and beyond to cater for my dietary requirements without making me feel a burden. It’s lovely to see the chef so content in his atmosphere, talking to guests and making sure everyone is happy. I can’t wait to dine with you again!

Having had the pleasure of working with George and the team for the last 2 weeks I can say what an amazing place and well worth a trip out of your way to experience. The food is 2 Rosettes standard, making the price extremely reasonable for the service and quality. Can genuinely say they can cook a perfect steak having seen for myself.

The food was lovely, the extra gravy was greatly appreciated - you can never have too much gravy! The service was fantastic, everyone one was very friendly and loved the opportunity to speak to George Lowe himself! Excellent recommendation from our server on the wine, when the one we had originally chosen had sold out. Also, had the opportunity to try a chocolate pot that wasn’t on the menu - there were only 2 left and we had both. Overall an excellent restaurant that we will be returning to!

We ate here for Sunday lunch for the second time last weekend. The quality of the food is incredible! George makes sure every plate is wonderful - the Yorkies especially are something to behold! And I'm a big fan of cauliflower cheese. We all had a main course and dessert, leaving very well satisified with our experience and the food. Put it this way - we barely ate again all day! Thank you to George and the team for the effort you put in. We are glad to have discovered this little gem, after walking past many times.

George and his team have made a mark in Uttoxeter, a much needed long waited for restaurant who engage with customers, offer excellent service, homely friendly welcoming and yes the food is brilliant, yes I have been further afield than uttoxeter,and to many Michelin star restaurants, George is on a par with many of these, he is unique. We have visited several times, and taken guests, also George will adapt a meal to suit your needs if you have an allergy. The whole team work hard and work together. For me I like that Chef George will visit your table after your meal for a friendly chat. Thank you, we are so lucky to have you.

I’ve dined at Lowe’s more times than I can count, bringing friends and family to show them how amazing the food and atmosphere is. The Sunday lunch lives up to the standards people rave about - the cauliflower cheese being my personal favourite. The Wednesday and Thursday 2 plates for £25 is something that I personally love as a student as a midweek treat - the team are exceptional and George coming to speak to every table is a lovely touch - see you all soon!

Popped in for Brunch this morning, the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was divine, the confit tomatoes were simply delicious, service is amazing, thank you What a beautiful restaurant, amazing food, incredible selections of wines, staff are helpful, friendly and service was fast, will definitely return

Fantastic food and service - we had three courses. The buttermilk chicken was worth the hype as was the steak! Great atmosphere and a lovely touch was when George Lowe came out to speak to every table. We will definitely be returning!

We had the evening special menu for £25.00 each. Choice of both small and main plates offered a vegetarian option, which one suited one of us. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a bottle of rose wine. Drinks are more expensive but if you have the evening special menu which they serve on Wednesday and Thursday the meal came to just over £80 including the service charge. As always the service was exceptional.

Truly special place. Food obviously is the stand out performer but the service and staff knowledge are a real asset and make it our favourite place to eat. Highly recommend

Very accomodating staff transferring our tables for 15 to a single table on the patio outside allowing us to enjoy the sun. Excellent cuisine similarly accomodating our various requests for menu alterations. Great food and very friendly service. A real find.

We are here recently to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. The menu is not extensive but there are more than enough choices. If you take into account that it’s a small family run business and the food is all locally sourced you will understand why. The staff are all friendly and approachable, the food is all of the highest quality, the seating area is intimate and well presented, lovely wine glasses, and the wine itself is exceptional and we were even given a free glass of bubbles each as we were celebrating. A very pleasant dining experience and highly recommended.

Fab evening, wonderful food, fantastic service and great atmosphere for a relaxing eve that was quite special. I had the confit duck curry which was delicious and the rhubarb ice cream / custard pud which was possibly the most surprising but lovely desert. This place is one to keep coming back too.

We visited Lowe’s for my partner’s 30th, there were 12 of us all together and we sat in the back room for a Sunday lunch. We had the most incredible meal, everyone commented on how great the food was and the staff couldn’t have done more for us. Luke and his colleague put up with all my fussing beforehand with ease and grace and were wonderfully accommodating. Would highly recommend both the Sunday lunch itself and the team at Lowes. Will be returning for many a meal in the future!

Post our Bramshall Road Parkrun we were recommended to have a breakfast at Lowes by a friendly fellow Parkrunner, wh also mentioned that if you say you did the Parkrun on the Saturday that you’d get a free coffee with the breakfast so it seemed too good to be true…we took the short walk from the leisure and were given a very warm welcome and seated in a cosy spot by the window. We were served by Luke who was fantastic in making us feel comfortable and welcome and able to be relaxed in choosing exactly what we wanted. For the quality of the food, service and atmosphere we would give Lowes 5 stars as it will top your morning after a hard run. Highly recommended for a delicious breakfast and artisan coffee!

Really nice to find a quality local restaurant. Nothing is cheap anymore so it seems more important to make sure your getting good quality for your money and great food. Lowes was excellent for quality food and service.

We stopped at Lowe's on our way to the the Lake District from Kent. A lucky find on Google Maps that lived up to and beyond our expectations. The food was delicious and the staff wonderful. I wish Lowe's was closer to home! If you live in Uttoxeter or close by, and you enjoy good food and excellent service, go!

Our fourth visit today on the request of my mother-in-law for her 80th Birthday. As always the food was amazing and George sad his team made it another memorable visit and gave us all a glass of fizz complimentary and George came to the table to chat to my mother-in-law to wish her a Happy Birthday. George your roasts are the best and your candy floss eton mess was just so yummy. See you all again soon. We cannot recommend Lowes highly enough the food and team make every visit special x

Loved the cute restaurant. Came here from a recommendation and the food did not disappoint. Delicious Lobster bisque pasta and the Eton Candy Mess dessert was light and scrumptious. Definitely coming back!

This was mine and my husbands first visit to Lowe’s to celebrate our Anniversary. We found the restaurant so relaxing. Everything is so neat and clean. The outside courtyard looked very pretty and one we will visit soon. We chose to have a starter, mains and dessert, all of which were absolutely perfect in both the presentation and taste. The staff were very attentive and offered a complimentary small glass of ‘fiz’, in acknowledging our little celebration. We most certainly will be back to sample more from the menu and cannot recommend this ‘gem’ in Uttoxeter enough. If peak times are required to eat, a booking is essential! In summary an all round excellent dining experience.

Ingredient quality, excellent service from all the staff, subservient cookery and a really lovely ambiance! Can’t recommend it enough. Lovely intimate setting with delicious food, good portion sizes and imaginative flavours. Fantastic to have a chat with the owner and reminiscence about South African wine.

Tonight was our second visit & was absolutely outstanding again We were served by Luke who like all the front of house staff are friendly & knowledgeable. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The food here is first class, all fresh & carefully sourced. The Tuna Tostado was out of this world. Father’s Day meal treat, we had the English breakfast, wild mushrooms, and the kids had the wheel barrow croissants….all incredible and super tasty, service friendly and warm.

I’m still dreaming about my meal at Lowes on Carter Street. Each bite was a delight, and the presentation just blew us away. Don’t miss out on trying their Lobster and crab mac & cheese bites….or their Buttermilk fried chicken, chilli glaze & hazelnuts…in fact everything they do is utterly perfect. Everyone is amazing and so welcoming. It’s been years since we have had an actual conversation with a chef who obviously delights in the food they create. Lowes is how restaurants Should be run and it’s in a class on its own.
