Good for a coffee but a bit expensive

This is probably one of the worst cafes we have been into. Ordered a Jam and Cream Scone which came with just cream. When we questioned where the jam was, we were told that they had no jam, no apology or would we like something else. If we had known they had no jam, we would not have ordered the scone. The scone was dry and our drinks were also very disappointing. We will not be visiting this place again and definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone, just wish we had checked the reviews before we went in, there are much better cafes in Llandudno

Food terrible. Carrot soup was watery and served with cheap white sliced bread. Cheese used on the cheese toasty was very rubbery and inedible once cooled. Presentation on both dishes was very poor. Serving staff pleasant enough and they work hard, just a pity that have to deliver expensive poor quality food. We don't be returning.

Called in at lunchtime yesterday, and the place was almost empty. There were many tables left uncleared and dirty - including the one we chose, as it seated just two. There was a queue at the order point, where one member of staff was doing her best to serve whilst her colleague was outside chatting to a man who didn’t appear to have been a customer at all. We eventually had to ask for our table to be cleaned, which was reluctantly done, with excuses. Our food - soup and sandwich - was brought by the waitress who was originally at the service point, and she was polite, friendly and respectful. The food was reasonably good. Despite this, I doubt we’ll be returning, which is a shame, because, in the past, this was one of the best cafes in Llandudno, staffed by mature, helpful people. Today, both training and supervision appear to be lacking.

Cute place to eat reasonably prices

Went there today, had a sausage bap, must have been the cheapest sausage tasted terrible. Very disappointed. Used to be really busy in there but quiet today now I know why. Lady on the till looked bored and had to tell her it was on the special board. Sausage and pot of tea £5.50. Good price but couldn't eat much of it. Never again plenty of better places to eat.

Have regular over the year's and had very good service and food,on my last visit table service had been removed which we were not aware of sat 10 minutes waiting for service,then we waited 35 minutes for meal to arrive which was sent back because the middle of the pie was cold,then waited another 30 minutes for it to be replaced, four other tables also complained about the time waited for drinks and snacks whilst we were there,the only positive was the the girl on the till she was very apologetic and offered free coffee and cake I felt sorry for her, not a nice position to be in.

It may be funny but I have to. I didn't eat anything but still came to put a review. I was searching for the toilet to loo and it was pretty urgent. When I asked the staff about the direction, they allowed me to use the toilet inside their restaurant. The staff were very humble and lovely. The bathroom was well decorated and gave me a garden vibe. Would come again and eat this time and use the toilet 😂

Our order was fish chips peas twice at$30.00 noticed it was very. greasey which made us booth ill and had to return home on which we had just arrived that day for the weekend will not used this cafe again

Ordered a ploughman's lunch, it was more like a fruit salad, I have never seen strawberries on an overwhelming amount of apple. The cheese was grated and not piece to cut as you want it .the crusty roll was smallest I've ever seen. The pt of the was lukewarm, and tea wasn't brewed properly, the staff never came to the table to ask if everything was OK, then when I went to pay ,again the staff didn't ask if everything was OK. All in a very poor meal ,service and unattractive staff one to miss .

Came in today with my mom we ordered a hot chocolate and a latte and crumpets for each of us the lady said in a sarcastic voice "is that all you want" which I found condescending and rude by the way. Then when we had our hot drinks they must of shrunk the cups and they weren't "hot" either. Then when we were just finishing our crumpets and began to have a conversation the man just swooped up our plates and took them away suggesting for us to leave which again very rude and not professional when we hadn't even finished our supposedly hot drinks. All in all we won't be coming back to your establishment again.

The owners of all the franchises are rotten to the core, and it shows not only in their cafes but how they treat their staff For over 10 years the Reynolds have refused to (fully) pay their staff, now they’re ignoring court hearings. I would not give them the money or time of day, not paying people while you sit on your fortune is vile

Thought we'd come in as we knew the milkshake was good, ordered a meal and a coffee and was blown away. I honestly think this is the best coffee I've had all year (highly recommend the toffee syrup). Had the soup and sandwich meal and it was phenomenal, the soup (Mediterranean veg) was divine, I almost didn't order it as its not my fave but I'm so glad I did! Lovely side salad and home made coleslaw! I left very full and extremely happy! Don't let the other reviews put you off, I'm so glad I didn't!♡

Called in tidy and was really looking forward to Welsh rarebit as I have had it many times in The Tudor House Prestatyn and is fabulous, but, disappointed to say the least, it was served on A CRUST, couldn’t see the cheese but was drowned in vinaigrette, I ate it because I was so hungry and don’t like to complain, but after feeling very sick all afternoon 🤮though I would air my views to make sure no one else pays for the burnt offering…. Two small coffees a burger and a burnt offering £24.90 NEVER AGAIN!

This place used to be Badgers, which was very good. However now it has gone rapidly down hill. It is very tired looking, food quality poor and isn’t clean. A journey to the toilet upstairs shows it is in dire need of a revamp. Lots of better places locally…..

Never had a sandwich like it in my life. Ordered an egg and mayo cress sandwich. When it arrived the side salad looked inedible, then I proceeded to eat one of the sandwiches which was cut into 4. Proceeded to lift it to my mouth and the contents were that runny it slopped out of the sandwich. The overall presentation of sandwich and side salad was atrocious. I certainly will not be frequenting this eatery anymore.

Seems to have changed hands or chef. Chips were disgusting on last visit. Staff disinterested.

Their branch at Victoria Centre was an awful experience on Wednesday 5th July, went to get a Cappuccino and Hot Chocolate with my mum and within half an hour we didn't get served and got out. Truly awful service and staff at the cafe in the shopping centre.

Been coming to this cafe for over 20yrs, it needs a good clean as tables dirty, the chef out by coffee machine had vest x bra that were dirty pink not a good look to look at very disappointed.

Waitress service at table by friendly helpful staff. Good selection of cakes and drinks. Only criticism is that the disabled toilet is lower than most disabled toilets, so harder for anyone with bad knees to stand up. Apart from that, can’t fault it.

Quiet location inside the shopping centre. We had cheese and leek quiche with salad and coleslaw. I would not recommend it though as it is more like an omelette, not like a vegetable quiche. Hardly any pieces of leek, and very small portion for £10.90. Checking other places would be good.

Great place to eat and lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this place 👌

Was told to sit anywhere we would be served. Wait 15 mins no one served. Walked out

We have eaten here a handful of times over the last 5 years or so. Visited here about a week ago for a quick breakfast. Food was nice and the staff were all pleasant. Place was clean.

So I went towards a table with my 2 children and realised they were closing so began walking away. As I walked away a lady banged into the glass whilst she was trying to leave. I saw and heard the incident then saw 3 members of staff around her. As I was telling my children what had happened to the lady one member of staff ran out to me. I thought she was going to ask me for help but instead, she was so rude and said “excuse me, my managers just banged into the glass trying to come after you because she saw you take something from the table”! The audacity shocked me! How dare she accuse me of “stealing” the measly packets of sauces and sugar from the table! The sympathy I had for the ‘manager’ quickly disappeared as I realised why she’d ran into the glass: A) The manager is a liar because she clearly didn’t see something that didn’t happen. B) She should know where the door is if she manages the store! C) She didn’t walk into the glass because she “saw me” do something - she walked into the glass because of herself. D) Customer service clearly needs working on. E) I hope the 5p packets of sauces and sugar was worth the “bump”! F) Yes, we were the only brown people there. Enough said.

Pretty poor on the whole. Lunchtime and the waitress didn't know what the pie of the day or the quiche of the day was so she went to ask. The pie was 'leek and something' ... we decided it could be leek and potato, so she went back to ask again ... leek and cheese. One of those ordered plus a fish and chips. Cut into the 'leek and cheese' pie and it was steak! The fish had either been fried and re-fried or kept warm for ever. It was small and nothing special. Chips pale and undercooked. We were hungry so ate what can only be described as a mediochre meal at best. Won't be going back.

My wife and I ordered two different sandwiches made with white bread. The waitress came back a few minutes later and said that they didn't have one of the fillings. My wife chose another but the same thing happened again, they didn't have that filling either. My wife chose a third filling. When the sandwiches came they were made with brown bread. A couple seated a few tables away from us called the waitress over and she took away a meal. Avoid this place. There are plenty of other places nearby. Keep on walking past this one!

First the guy that was just woundering round serving people and hovering made me feel so uncomfortable didn't ike the atmosphere in their at all today plus my friend has always asked for guten free toast and thay did it but we went in today and thay didn't do it so not happy so she had to have chips and bacon so not returning anymore to that one plus don't like the new staff bring the old ones back

Wouldn’t revisit…burger came out cold, the cheese wasn’t even melted and didn’t taste fresh in the slightest. Wouldn’t recommend

Great place for some afternoon refreshments. We had drink of your choice and cake of the day for £5.50 each

Ate at this establishment today at lunch. We all ordered the fish finger sandwich and chips. These were priced at over a tenner so was expecting something good. The wife's came out with burnt toast, this was returned do she never ate with me and the little girl. The fish finger sandwich had a seldom fishfinger between the two slices of toast, this was massively overpriced. The burnt meal was replaced and the staff were freindly enough. So for 3x fishfinger sandwichs and chips, two waters and a coke was nearly £40 quid. Was left feeling ripped off and disappointed with the food. Also the table next to us were complaining about their food, so maybe just having a bad day. If I do go back to llandudno again will defo NOT be going back to Love To Eat.

Besides putting the dog's water bowl on the counter twice and not washing their hands after or cleaning the counter worries me. Apart from that is the attitude of the so-called assistant manager was very rude when challenged. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

A family lunch that turned out to be a very bad experience. The quality of food was very poor. Even the children commented!! Chips were covered in black bits and overcooked and tasted of old frying oil. Disgusting 🤢 Sandwiches poor quality. We will never return. Rip off

I walked in, went around various empty table - grubby, not clean, stains still present from previous people. Walked straight out. Went to the St. George hotel, far superior and organised. Very disappointed.

Very friendly staff. I've been a few times and always found it welcoming. They have a lovely selection of cakes too.

Popped in today as the Loaf is closed on a Monday. Waitress was friendly and helpful. We had a hot chocolate and latte, both arrived quickly were piping hot and tasty. Sadly thats where things went down hill. My husband ordered a burger, which was scored several times as though checking it was cooked? It looked like a cheap supermarket burger and the taste confirmed it was. I ordered quiche of the day, which came on a metal plate with a handful of oven chips. The quiche was clearly from a supermarket, warmed in the oven, the piece was tiny and crunchy on the sides and pastry where it had been cut and chucked in the oven too warm! No one came to ask if our food was ok. When I went to pay my bill I was asked if everything was ok. I explained it was not. The cashier made sympathetic noises and charged us full price. £28 for 2 lunches and hot drinks of questionable quality. I politely informed her we were very disappointed and wouldnt be back. Expensive, poor quality food, no presentation. Avoid.

Had a meal here last week which we enjoyed so took a second visit only to be disappointed by the long wait 40 mins just for loaded fries which arrived minus the cheese topping ..the lovely young server kindly offered grated cheese which she promptly served but it just wasn't the same as it wasn't melted ..went to settle the bill and tried to voice our complaint but the person in charge was so lacking in customer care to the pont of being quite rude .no apology what so ever and seemingly not interested in customer satisfaction ..definitely won't be eating here again..shed be well suited to a job on Fawlty Towers

This is the worst cafe in Llandudno. Let me just start by we were told there would be a 30 minute wait for food, so we ordered “cake of the day” with coffees. The coffees came after 20 minutes, and the cakes came after a further 20 minutes. By the time the cakes arrived, we had finished the drinks. We thought that the cakes would be nice if they had taken so long. BUT WE WERE SERVED A HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR A CAKE I HAVE A PICTURE IT WONT LET ME PUT IT ON THIS REVIEW, I FOOLISHLY DECIDED TO EAT THIS MONSTROSITY AND TWO HOURS LATER, I BLED MY GUTS OUT. EVERY OTHER PERSON IN THE CAFE WAS SICK TO DEATH OF THE WAIT TIMES AND FOOD QUALITY AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT GO HERE..

Lovely friendly staff. Food is great and a good cup of coffee too.

Burned food , cheeap Meat , old salad Avoid!

Polite waitress showed us to a table We enquired if they sold plain scones with butter, answer yes & 2 latte coffees Then informed out of stock of plain scones we where offered fruit scone, which we accepted. Went to pay asked for £16.00 for 2 lattes & 2 scones with butter. Challenged cost, told it was correct as scones come with jam & cream This was not mentioned when we ordered. Lady at the till was very rude, we where told you should have read the menu before ordering This person needs additional training in customer liaison, she is very arrogant & totally rude Would definitely Not recommend this cafe or will not visit it again. When originally opened in Llandudno the Love To Eat at corner of Mostyn Street was a highly recommend place to visit, I can only assume owners have got too big & do not customer care anymore 🤔👎

Don't waste your money here. I was really disappointed. I asked for a fish finger sandwich, I wasn't offered a choice of brown or white bread. When it arrived, I checked inside the sandwich, only to find a couple of cremated cheap fish fingers, so I sent it back & asked for soup instead. When the soup arrived, it was served in a grotty metal cup, & was so salty, my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth!! My son couldn't finish his ham, egg, chips & peas...the peas looked as if they'd been boiled to death, as they'd turned a light yellow from being over cooked! & the ham was cold....it doesn't state that on the menu!! I work in the NHS, & will warn everyone I know not to visit this terrible cafe.

Very friendly staff. Served quite quick. Food really nice. Can be a bit expensive for some meals. We had three coffees, 3 prawn sandwiches with mari rose sauce.

First time in here, certainly will not be the last! A brand no ew 'find' in Llandudno! Excellent food and really lovely staff. A pleasure to recommend this place.

I used this café twice while away. I was only away for a couple of days, the staff are excellent, they actually treat you as an individual. The food I honestly can't fault. Beautiful 💞.

Well what a disappointment called in because it does look inviting and there was a lot of people in there well 1st mistake was thinking it would be good ordered 2 drinks and 2 meals one was fish and chips well the fish was as thin as a envelope and not very nice and the chips well cheap cheap under cooked and horrible the second meal was equally as bad so please please don't make the same mistake as me save your money I would think pretty much any eatery in town would be better than this place and they call it LOVE TO EAT forgot the last bit JUST NOT HERE

Happily accommodated our vegan and gluten-free requirements, and served an excellent breakfast. The porridge with fruit compote was so good.

The fish and chips with peas we had for lunch was lovely, and the mini version for children was good, a few more chips would have made it 5 stars. The chips portion was abit small otherwise quality was very good. Sauces should be provided. The service was good.

Food was absolutely dreadful, burnt nuggets and vile chips. Jacket potato black and dry. Chipped crockery, grubby Place.

Really sorry, but we were so dissaponted. Staff were trying their best, but the food took 45 mins to arrive and the quality of the food was poor. Service was friendly, but it could not make up for the low standard of the food. We will not be revisiting.

Popped in for lunch. I had chicken and spinach omelette with salad and my husband got the fish and chips, we both enjoyed them very much. Place was spotless and staff very pleasant. Second time we have eaten here and both times have been delicious.

A really lovely cafe in the Victoria center, very quick service, tea's , coffee, toast, teacakes, breakfast, very helpful staff, everything brought to your table,

Visited as they have good range of food and have good range of Gluten Free options. Really friendly staff. Always have excellent range of cakes including GF. Visited again last Saturday. Lots of younger staff in and very disorganised. Ordered two hot drinks and two slices of cake. Dri ks arrived first, then 10 minutes later for first piece of cake. Then had to go and ask were second slice of cake was. Then waited another 10 minutes for second slice of cake. And no sign of an apology. And second slice of cake was half the size of the first.

Extremely Disappointed We visited 1st July for a quick cup of tea and cream scone, we sat outside with our small dog which was extremely convenient for us as it was a little too cold to be outside on the high street. The table was dirty with no effort to clean it during our visit. The scones came extremely hot, so they were either frozen and microwaved or microwaved to freshen up a past it's best scone. They were dreadful. At £11.90 for tea for two (no additional hot water) and two cream scones I definitely expected more. Do not visit if you're expecting a large homemade crumbly fresh scone.

Sat in 4 of us, about 8 other people in the cafe all with drinks so not busy. I went to the counter after 10 mins to place my orders to be told its table service. 10 min later we still haven't been served, had to go and ask again to be served. Finally we orderd, 4 x white hot chocolates and received 2x normal hot chocolates and 2 white. No idea how they got that wrong. Nearly £18 for I would say 4 mouth fulls if that in these tiny cups. My mum went to the disabled loo downstairs she literally shut the door and a member of staff barged in. Will never go again absolutely 0 customer service. Such a shame as it is a nice cafe visually

Went at 3.30pm and the staff were closing off the cage already to clean although closing an hour and a half later. We had one normal Amerricano and one large of the same coffee. We also had two scones and cream of which one was advertised offer with the coffee. Both scones were warmed even though we were not asked. The large coffee was a small coffee but in a larger cup and water added to make it taste like cats pee. It was then £14.60 for poor quality coffee and a warm scone I wanted cold. Fir that price you can get so much better!!!!!!

Went this morning for breakfast and the place did not disappoint!! Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The place inside was clean, warm and gorgeously decorated! The selection of food was great. The kids loved the pancakes and waffles, the full monty was great and so was the smashed avocado 😍 service was quick and nothing was too much trouble! Would definitely recommend 👌

From the outside, this seems the perfect little cafe. But, from the outside, late stage capitalism seems to be the best way to run a country. My wife, child and I went in, asked to use the high chair (which was clearly unused and outside). Apparently it was the only one available in the entire place, and it was being used. By who? We shall never know. We were guided to a far corner where we stuffed ourselves into the limited space, young child on my lap. We were told that someone would be over ASAP to take our order. Nobody came over. We ordered at the counter, a minor annoyance, but not an outright deal breaker. Then we waited for our food. And waited. And waited. Chances are, we'd still be there now. Waiting. And going even more insane than we are now. Terrible service, blasé attitude towards customer satisfaction, and no real support for families with young children. The milkshakes were nice but, unlike Kelis, they will not be bringing this boy back to the yard.

I came here as a birthday treat for my girlfriend well it did not disappoint we got seated quickly, served quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. The check backs were really good from staff as well this one woman I didn’t get the name of was very nice and treated us like we were part of a family! Once my starter went back they even brought us another knife and fork without me having to ask which was the topping for me! The best cafe I’ve been too definitely coming again

Visited the cafe for a breakfast before we went around the christmas market.Had the full monty .It was just big enough for what we wanted .Everything was of high quality ,the mushrooms were gorgeous .Crispy quarter of mushrooms ,rather than sliced👍so tasty 😋 Plus a nice pot tea .Lovely start to a day .The lady who served us has very short hair and has always served me every time I've visited with a smile and a bit of fun .Well done .Lovely place to go to .Their mince pies and cream are amazing too😁

nicely presented cafe in a shopping mini mall, food is pricey though and locals will probably give it a miss and find somewhere more reasonable. probably appeals to holiday makers. we just had (tiny) lattes for £3 a cup, which is way over the odds for this town.

Went in for lunch with my husband and mum, wish we hadn't. Waitress showed us to our table then walked off, she came back after about 5mins to take our order we hadn't even bin given menus at that point. It was about 15mins after ordering our drinks arrived two bottles of fizzy pop and a bottle of water, no glasses only drinking straws. When I asked for a glass the young girl just shrugged and said they can't give glasses because of covid and walked off. We waited over half an hour for our food to arrive, frozen chips and frozen fish that was well over cooked, not what I was expecting for nearly £14 we ordered bread & butter which did not arrive, had to ask twice for it. Over priced for low quality products.

Good selection of snacks and meals in the menu. Reasonable prices and friendly staff, there is also toilet facilities. Have visited several times over recent years.

Poor quality food and expensive. I ordered welsh rarebit which had too much mustard in it and presented on cheap white bread another order was avocado on toast - basically a mashed up avocado with no seasoning or flavour. When I gave feedback waitress just looked at me and said sorry and took my money. Don't bother

Fantastic little place to eat 😀 nicely decorated with lovely furnishings which entices you into the cafe in the first place. Good choice on the menu, great tasting food!! Staff are very polite & welcoming.

To be honest this place is not worth one star. The staff are rude and shouting at each other over the customers constantly. The food was cheap slop and overpriced. However the worst thing was that our food was served on chipped metal camping plates which stuck to the dirty tables. This cafe is clearly trying to be something that it isn't and one to avoid.

Popped in for my favourite oat milk cappuccino...so perfect I had to have 2. Tried their, made on the premises, lemon drizzle cake, I would highly recommend it. Lovely friendly and efficient staff, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent place, worth a visit.
