Love Balti in Salford

I’ve lived in Manchester for 5 years now and always found Indian take aways to be hit and miss (mostly miss!) After discovering Love Balti during the Tier 3 lockdown however it’s now my absolute go to Indian restaurant and I wouldn’t order from anywhere else. They have a decent sized menu with loads of options - all our orders have tasted fresh and tasty, as well as been hot on arrival which is a bonus. I don’t usually order meat from take aways after having some bad experiences but I’ve tried the lamb passanda and chicken tikka jalfrezi from Love Balti and enjoyed both! Delivery times can be long but it really is worth the wait!

I’m not usually a massive fan of Indian takeaways but Love Balti is like no other! The curry’s are amazing, the meat is such good quality and the chips are unreal! I can’t wait to order my next one. I will be recommending this place to everyone 👍🏻 Thank you

This is very close to our house so we always have our takeaways from here and have never had any problems. The food is very reasonably priced for the area and great offers on meal deals, and sides with your curries. The food is always delivered on time and piping hot, the last time we was missing a Pilau Rice, we called back and a new one was delivered within 10 minutes so cannot fault. The curries are always very tasty and as described on the menu, a great choice of vegetarian options too. I would highly recommend I Love Balti!

Ordered online, when completed said it was going to be 1HR 20. Called to cancel due to this. They were aware of this and had a attitude straight away. Didn’t receive a confirmation saying this was cancelled and were getting our money back so called to double check this. The guy on the other end of the phone was swearing and yelling, saying he wasn’t going to give the money back till a few days because he “had better things to do”. He yelled at my “husband” (as he called him) so I told my “husband” to put me on the phone to explain. When I came on the phone he yelled at me telling me my “husband” had a bad attitude. So I told him to stop yelling and he continued so I asked his name and he said the words “I’M THE F****** BOSS MAN” and continued to yell. Worst service after being a customer here multiple times, never had bad service ever and this guy has ruined the whole thing. I would never ever associate myself with this restaurant again and never pay for this type of service. My advice, if this is the “BOSS” i would never ever order from here. Also seeing the reviews regarding hygiene from January, after my google research today, I wish I never ordered from there in the first place (rats)!!!!

I ordered food from Love Balti online and I was informed the food would arrive within 1 hour. I had specifically requested that the food was delivered to the door because I am currently shielding due to Covid-19. I received a call from the driver to say that he was downstairs and I needed to go and collect the food. I politely asked the driver if he could bring the order to the door as I am in a flat and unable to go out at the moment. At this point the driver interrupted me and said "You have 2 minutes to come and collect your order or I will take it back". I was shocked at the response I got and kindly asked again if he could bring it up and he refused, telling me he was going back to the restaurant and I needed to speak to the manager. I rang the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager and yet again I was met with very aggressive and abusive language. I tried to explain to the manager the situation I was in but he was not interested and told me I needed to speak to Uber eats about the delivery. He then proceeded to hang up the phone, I have since tried to contact the restaurant and the driver regarding a refund for the food I have not received (over 2 hours after ordering it) but to no avail. I would strongly recommend that anyone who is thinking of ordering, just avoids this place all together. The "manager" as he likes to call himself is a disgrace and should really reconsider the position he is in since he clearly lacks people skills.

Absolutely amazing food,the quality, service and drivers. We ordered Seekh kebab, mushroom and chickpea chilli masala, paneer matar, suicide chicken curry, rice, garlic nan and chips. It was the best curry in Manchester. It was amazing and I wouldn’t listen to the negative comments as it was perfect. We will be ordering again so thank you.

You must try the smoked Salmon Ella selection, available as a sharing player also the Bubonic burger is a real treat. I especially like the Verministroni soup.Flied rice dishes are authentic seek recipe as is all the recipes, free baby wipes with every order.Can't go anywhere else nowadays as my guts fell out one evening.

After waiting well over an hour for the food. I can honestly say it is the worst takeaway food I have ever tasted. When my daughter rang to discuss our disappointment they were verbally abusive and very aggressive. They were shouting so loudly that we call all here it in the room. Disgusting behaviour, disgusting food.

Never will I order through Justeat nor from this takeaway. Always been great until now. I placed the order at 8.30 rang up to chase the order was told it was on the way and it arrived at 10.30. Joke!!!!! Ok

The curry from here never disappoints, no matter what you get. Everything is tasty including the starters. All the meat is always tender, all in all it’s one of the best takeaways in Salford.

Their food is amazing, biryani rice with the right spice but when we found out they had a two star hygiene rating we decided to stop visiting.

I have ordered from this takeaway due to the guy ensuring me he runs a nice takeaway since he was a customer in Argos. Well I can honestly say he means his word. Not only was it on time, but the polite gentleman on the phone who assured me it was on its way and would arrived hot kept his word. Best chicken tikka masala I have ever tasted. Will be my no1 takeaway from now on.

Ordered a takeaway from here for collection, I’ve been living in Manchester a while but I’ve struggled to find an Indian takeaway worth going back to. I was so glad that this was finally it!!! The curries were tasty, a little more expensive than others I’ve tried, but I definitely think it’s worth it. This place is worth a try if you love an intense and rich tikka massala, other ones I’ve tried in the area are terrible compared to this place.

Opposite our hotel in Surrey Quays there are some of the well-known restaurant chains but I like to be a little more adventurous than that so out came trip advisor and we chose a small curry house to walk to about 1.5 miles away. However, this was only a takeaway. He pointed us in the direction of Langworthy Road and Love Balti. So we entered the restaurant side of the Business and were made to feel extremely welcome. He immediately pointed out the no alcohol situation and the fact it was cash only. We ordered we placed our order for Kebab and samosa starters, we were told the Samosas were homemade and I had the chicken Byriani and my friend had the Garlic Chicken (I think). The food was great, served at the correct temperature and in good sized portions. I don't travel to Manchester often but next time I come I will definitely come and eat here again. This had the feel of a small family run business who are getting it right. Thank you. Don't like the pricing options below because I think cheap eats is a bit derogatory so I'll say we left the restaurant after having popadoms, starters, main dish, side dish and Naan Bread for £20 a head including tip. I would say great value.

Fantastic food always fresh and plenty of it. Restaurant is lovely and clean. Friendly service always enjoy the delivery too.

Really personal service. Impromptu visit for five. Lovely onion Bhajis four served as a starter with a fresh salad garnish. Lemon pilau rice a delicious change with pieces of fresh lemon in it. Good menu of specialities of the house. Our little granddaughter enjoyed the poppadums and mango chutney and yoghurt dip.My daughter enjoyed the sweet chilli relish.The chips were a large portion (typical for Manchester)Exotica mixed main course was a big hit as was the mixed kebab starter. We’d all definitely eat there again. It has a takeaway next door.

It’s really hard to find a decent Indian take away. I took a chance on love balti over 5 years ago and now refuse to get my take away from anywhere else. Their delivery service is quick. The curry’s are the creamiest and the portion sizes are huge. We are veggies and they have plenty for us to chose from. ❤️

We get this takeaway when I come to visit my aunty in Salford , not had it for a while and the food was still excellent standard . The masala and machani are the best I’ve ever had!! Everything was good that we got and can’t fault it!!!! Please keep at your excellent standards

Love balti before it closed down for some time a while ago I thought it was one of the best curry houses in Salford but alas my last time will be my last time. The curry we had tasted fine and all the other starters and breads seemed ok . The following day we were unwell to say the least we were unable to leavethe house for the rest of the day.By chance my friends son also had a curry the same night as us and was also unwell .

Excellent food, it worths any penny. They are fast, in less than 10 minutes we had our dinner ready to go. All the ingredients were fresh and dishes big enough to keep something for the next day. The customer service is amazing. Tell them your favorites and they will recommend you the best for you. Just amazing.

I have ordered from this takeaway around 4 times.. the 2nd time however the driver got lost and took over 2 hrs to find us! We were starving! But what amazed me was the great customer service of the owner or manager on the phone. He was so angry that his driver took so long he even called us back after our meal was delivered and told us our next meal was on the house! And it was :) we have order ordered again since then and every time food is delicious and here in 30 min :) ! My fav indian takeaway :) a must try!

I was recommended Love Balti byva friend, after i said i couldn't get a decent extremely HOT curry anywhere, and iv tried loads of places in Manchester. He told my about the Suicide Curry.I thought this would just be a Vindaloo with extra chilli powder....i was very wrong!I called and the Mananger explained the Suicide, but slso told me if i had a curry i liked, he would make it Suicide hot.I went for the Mixed Garlic Chilli Suicide....wow, amazing. More than a burnt mouth, it was gorgeous!!! Very very very hot, but well worth it. Cant wait for the restaurant to open.Delivery took about 40 mins, and i live quite far from Langworthy Road, so very impressed!!!!!Bradley M

I have never had a bad experience with Love Balti, they are really lovely people and cook very tasty food! The saag paneer is the best I have had in Manchester! Not only that, but it is consistently wonderful! :) my husband and I have this as our favourite Indian Takeaway. :)

My partner and I regularly order from Love Balti, the food has always been really good and the delivery staff are so sweet.I often order from the specialist dishes and would recommend those if you're looking for something you may not have tried before.

Used to be my favourite curry house, the madras is amazing. Called up tonight to a rude gentleman who cannot answer the phone politely, only to be told they can't take collection orders at present. I live less then a minute from the shop and was told I'd be charged £2.10 for delivery. No thanks, another curry house down the pan.

My whole house orders from here all the time. Normally I never have a bad word to say about this takeaway. However tonight proved different! The tikka masala was bland and not what a masala normally tastes like. Everything was disappointing from the flavour to the texture. The naan bread was more of a chapatti and the mango chutney was more or less solid! Sad to say I will never order from here again. I don't no if the chef has changed but it is nowhere near the Love Balti I used to love! I even called to ask about this and received no apology just said the recipe had changed - not good enough.

Ordered from here Saturday eve. Chicken tikka and lamb tikka Bhuna dishes with mushroom fried rice. Quick delivery and very tasty. Only complaint - could have done with more meat it was that nice.

Then, the driver was on the phone, handed the food over whilst on the phone with no acknowledgment and just walked off. Poor service.

1st time I have ever had a takeaway from love Balti a Curry house Langworthy Road Salford. I rang up sat early evening and ordered a set meal for 1 x twice which was chicken Tikka masala plus the trimming I was told they were a bit busy and it will be 1 hour to 1 and half hours we decided that we would accept 1 and a half hours after 2 hours and still no delivery of our Currys we rang back to ask where we were up to with the delivery and was told maybe 15 more minutes.when it arrived I must say it was absolutely delicious and plentiful just a shame about the long wait .

Ordered takeaway with a few friends on the weekend. They had jalfrezi and I had chicken vindaloo. On the plus side, the sauce was a nice consistency and not greasy like some Indian takeaways can be with all the ghee. The chicken was nicely cooked, but there wasn't any real depth of flavour. The peshwari naan was excessively sweet and as a result wasn't very enjoyable. Not terrible, but wouldn't rush back.

I would love to rate the food quality however I can't, as I ordered an hour and forty minutes ago and it still hasn't arrived. The restaurant said it was sent out but I'm still waiting. Just Eat are saying the order has been delivered. Not impressed.

Delivery 2 hours after the initial order isn't an acceptable service. I was originally told 45-60 minutes which was later revised to 1 hour 15 minutes and after chasing the order it finally arrived after two hours. On delivery, instead of an apology, I was told I was 'lucky' it had only taken 2 hours as many customers were having to wait 3 hours. As you can imagine, I felt incredibly lucky. To make matters worse my curry had leaked out all over the bag. They have lost my future custom.
