This ain’t one that wanted to write as been before and we have had amazing food but the last 2 times haven’t been anywhere near there best…. Not sure if staff have changed or owners etc but was very disappointed…. Fish wasn’t as tasty as last time and very chewy the chips were just bland plain and could have been done bit longer to become crispy. Hope they are better when we are back in March and September

We (very luckily) live round the corner from Lous Chippy, we order here at least one every 2 weeks, sometimes every week. We have never EVER had a bad batch of chips, portion of fish, nuggets, sausages, pies - nothing has been sub standard. Everything is cooked fresh to order and tastes absolutely gorgeous - especially the fish. My kids love the 'golden nuggets' and think they are the best ones around. Very reasonably priced best chippy we've ever been too - and won't go anywhere else in yarmouth, especially to be overcharged.

Pop here on a Sunday afternoon after reading good reviews. 2 x fish & chips with curry sauce & mushy peas. Fish was cooked fresh. But sadly the food was awful, so bad we binned it. Fish wasn’t very big with hardly any fish on it. Chips were undercooked, and tasted awful, the only word I can describe them is manure tasting. We googled this as it just didn’t seem right. Seems that chips taste like this when they are rotten! We would have taken them back but we had walked back to our accommodation. Mushy peas were heating in microwave and were very watery! Definitely not worth the £18.50. The worse fish & chips we’ve ever had.

We were staying at the Premier Inn nearby and do this was handy. The fish is cooked to order and so was fresh and hot - it was well cooked with crisp batter - good.

Great fish and chips freshly cooked. Yes you have to wait outside as the premises are so small so maybe give the customers a number so not so confusing. Definitely return on next visit to Yarmouth.😎🇬🇧

Had fish and chips at several places in Great Yarmouth and it’s been good but quite expensive. Tried Lou’s tonight and not only was it the most reasonably priced but also the best tasting fish and chips we’ve had. The fish was cooked fresh, thinly battered and nice and thick and the chips were cooked to perfection.Staff were very friendly and at £12.50 for 2 cod and chips you can’t go wrong.

We stopped at Lou’s Fish and Chip shop in the hope it would be a nice dinner after a lovely day. Unfortunately it really wasn’t a nice experience. The lady who served us was clearly quite stressed and immediately told me that no other Fish & Chip shops took cards when I asked if I could pay with mine, I then offered to pay with cash but she said it was fine as she had bought a card machine, so I paid. We ordered 2 x Cod and Chips, 1 with Mushy Peas, the other with Curry Sauce. Fish & Chips we’re freshly cooked and I was asked if I wanted them open or wrapped. I asked if it was possible to have them in a box, as we were going to eat them in the car. There were a lot made up in the window area, so didn’t feel this was an unreasonable request. I was promptly told that ‘She will use them all this evening and people don’t understand the cost involved with them’. . My Fish and Chips were then wrapped up in paper. I would happily have paid for a box but wasn’t given the choice. I was so disappointed by her attitude, if I hadn’t have paid for them I would have gone elsewhere. Sadly the food was really unpleasant, chips soggy and undercooked, the fish wasn’t bad. Couldn’t taste any salt or vinegar. The Curry sauce was cold and the mushy peas lacked any seasoning. Still not sure why my £15 order didn’t warrant a box. Would not recommend. Not sure if it was a bad day for the shop as I can see it has had good reviews, sad really as real fish and chips by the sea is a treat for people who don’t live locally.

We have been in for a meal twice this holiday and the food is amazing home cooked food the chips are unbelievably delicious. The omelettes are big and amazing. Our boy is fussy on his food but he cleans his plate every time we go. Highly recommend if on holiday near here, So we went again last night for last meal of season and oh boy did it not fail, it was the best pie I’ve ever had in a pub and the chips were fantastic as always, staff really friendly, and service is excellent, shame it would be 6 hour round trip to come back in winter.

Bit of a last minute decision, but fancied a Sunday roast and the PotP usually delivers. As hoped for it was excellent. Almost too good as I had no room left for the apple pie and custard ☹️, maybe next time.

This was genuinely the worst 2 bits of fish I have ever had served to me. Myself and my wife had a portion each and they were most grey un-fresh looking pieces of fish I have ever seen. £9:40 with chips is a good price in this day and age but jeez it was awful. As a consolation the chips were probably an 8/10. personally I'd give it a miss.

Had many meals in this pub, since the new team has been running the place, very good food, excellent beer, and always a warm welcome to strangers. When our daughter visits us up here, this is where we come to,to while an hour or so with a good meal.Never had a poor meal, but we love the f/chips.
