Fantastic pre booked afternoon tea of cakes and sandwiches with plain scones . Originally booked for 4 people but extra person came as well and as we had let them know the day before it was sorted out fine. The food was lovely and so much for £12.95 a head. Service was excellent and very efficient. Would definitely book again.

Went to Loubees Tearoom on moulsham street for the first time a few days ago. There was a group of us. Firstly, the food 🤌💯 with an all day breakfast menu and also a lunch menu. Cakes tasted AMAZING! And the staff and tearoom were superb - super attentive, friendly and just awesome. So rare to find such great customer service lately! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Walk-in for bread pudding - wasn’t nice at all, way too much cinnamon (which I don’t believe is a traditional ingredient) couple of bites, had to throw away. Over priced. Such a shame..I’ll keep looking for that magical moment of bread pudding.

Chelmsford was our chosen pit stop to break our 3hr journey. Came across this tearoom on line and reviews looked good. We phoned ahead to book once we were en route and I'm glad we did as it was reassuringly busy. We had a baguette and an omelette and salad. The omelette was beautiful and we ate every last bit of our lunches. We then had a homemade warm scone each with cream and jam. 😋 There is plenty of seating inside and out. Beware of the 1hr street parking though as very strict. We moved our car to the nearby carpark so that we didn't have to rush. Couldn't fault this lovely cafe and the ambience was an added extra. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

Went here because we literally parked opposite and its a free 1 hour street parking, Tea and Scones and a Muffin, Muffins are Litchfield brought in but moist and good flavour, Decent Tea in a pot, and scones with clotted cream, not the biggest scone you will find, but good all the same, sensible pricing too with friendly service, a very good tea room, full breakfast and lunch menu available, we will certainly use again when we are around town.

We went there for breakfast. The food took a long time to come, OK, its freshly cooked. But then they brought it out sweparately, with long waits in between, so the first person has to decide whether to start ahead of everybody else, or wait and have a COLD breakfast! Not ideal. I asked if I could have scrambled eggs instead of fried, they said yes. But when my food EVENTUALLY turned up, they had simply taken fried eggs and beaten the living **** out of them with a fork...they thought I wouldnt notice! Hanging Gardens "chef": please simply "Google" scrambled eggs, you will see the CORRECT recipe there, and there will be no mention of GBH to fried eggs.
