Lotus House in Barnet

My mother lives within walking distance. Food is fresh, tasty and very inexpensive. We order from them regularly. Highly recommend. We order prawn with veg, sweet and sour pork or chicken, dumplings and spring rolls. I steam my own rice. They throw in prawn crackers. I live in USA but I'm in Edgware half the year and am happy to have Lotus House so close

I paid 40 pound for a few dishes so i think prices have gone up. Salt and pepper chicken was hard and stale, salt and pepper prawns hard and stale. All meat was over cooked and seemed like they had been re heated. I wont be getting from there again . I think the regular orders they receive are cooked fresh. But the unusual ones that are not ordered regularly are stale and over cooked. My name is mandy . I think they have changed their chef? For an open hour of 5.30pm you should be cooking fresher food made to order and not re fry or re heat days old food.

Had crispy beef and egg fried rice. It was horrible the rice was a cheap rice. Barely any eggs in it more like a plain rice. It was also still very hard. When I first opened the box you could smell the expired meat as well. I called the restaurant to inform them and the chef took the phone and hung up on me.

Had takeaway from this place many times before good food and always hot and tasty plus the place is very clean

Always preparing great tasting dish, probably the best Chow Mein I've ever had! Nice crab & sweet corn soup, love the Crispy sweet & sour king prawn balls.

Delicious food, good range of dishes, easy ordering over the phone, fast service and very friendly. Wish they also delivered.
