Lotus Express in Gateshead

Bought the large salt and pepper box, majority of the box was 10kg worth of chips and a few pieces of chicken looks nothing like the photo seriously unhappy paying £17.90 for chips I could of made at home

Went here last night for dinner and everyone was soo lovely, portions were absolutely MASSIVE and VERY tasty!!!

Rice burned and dark brown not very nice at all what a waste shame it used to be nice won't be back.

Really fresh and tasty and seems like the only gluten free takeaway in a 10 mile radius

Amazing food, on time and always friendly service. I've had pork, chicken and prawns on separate occasions and always cooked really well. Best Chinese takeaway I've had from Gateshead in years.

I used to live in Liverpool where there's some amazing Chinese takeaways and this place in Chopwell is up there with the best of them. Delicious food, freshly prepared, really well made, friendly owner and excellent customer service.

The chicken chow main chicken was hard and fatty but the noodles were as expected, I ordered spring rolls and they repeated my order and said spring rolls tho I didn’t get any and didn’t realise till I was home very disappointed with this not very good, get ur food from prudhoe 10/10 from there do not get from chopwell

Rang tonight for a delivery .. man taking order very rude and abrupt .. saying I’d given wrong postcode .. sorry but your weren’t listening to me!! Took me about 5 minutes just to do that .. very rude abrupt Chinese man .. you need some manners in customer service .. I do it for a living so I no how to act on a telephone!! ... but I have to admit the gentleman who brought my order was lovely .. just a shame owner wasn’t like his employee .. totally different from when I went to collect an order to one being all done over the phone ... big let down

Over charged me, missing items from set meal and short changed all in the same order. Rang up and the guy hung up the phone after I explained the mistake. I rang again he just said sorry and thank you for your call. They never resolved any of this.

Reliable and delicious food. Always tasty, hot and good portion size.

I have had four meals from here over the last couple of months and they've always been fresh and tasty. The service has always been very pleasant whether in the shop or via delivery.

Staff were very rude in front of children and the place is one of the most expensive I have ordered from.
