Awesome food,awesome peeps... The best chippy in a 20 mile radius.Inknow people from all directions coming to this place,and I must say,it is justified! Their pizzas are beautiful,the kebabs always fresh and tasty,and I could just go on and on about the rest.. All in all,if you want good food on down-to-earth prices,then you want to stop here!

Ordered a shish kebab and got seekh and it was raw in the middle, totally unedible, very disappointed since it was also late

The kebab wrap was good as always but the pizza was a let down, when I paid for green peppers to be added I received yellow and red too which wasn’t what I asked for

Poor, we ordered 3 x portions fish bites but they didn't have a quantity and they were all random sizes sent in the same container. We order 1 x med 1 x large chips and it was more like a small and a med.Curry flavourless peas watery.

Excellent mince pies and the scampi was exceptionally tasty. The food was hot & thoroughly enjoyed. If I could give 10 Stars i would have no second thoughts about doing so@p

Bought two kebab wraps with salad and a margarita pizza which came to £18 and it by far the worst takeaway iv ever had the wraps were filled with salad hardly no kebab and taste horrendous and to top the pizza tasted minging alls you could taste was a strong tomotoe puree sauces were a no go please don't waste your money much nicer takeaways for this price around

No idea what the food’s like as the delivery driver couldn’t find a very big and well known hotel in Newcastle. Instead he parked up and told me to come and find him. Waiting for a refund from Just Eat.

Food was cold and you have charged me £3.50 for pop that has £1.99 on but you've a filled it in with a black pen disgusting never again

Got calzone pizza all raw discussing couldn't eat it rang back up but conveniently closed Rang them next day thay said because its last nights order thay can't do nothing about it. STAY WELL CLEAR

The fish was small flat and dry tasteless fish with hardly any batter on an what batter was there was burnt to a crisp the only good thing was the chips. Will not be going back there again.

Usually so fresh and hot. But fish looked and tasted like it had been done for a while. However, this is a first for us !!

Pizza arrived 2h30 after ordering and was in a damaged box and cold. Was tasty after reheating but overall experience not ideal. Got refunded £2.

This place just gets better, very rarely order from anywhere else. Food always hot, fresh and tasty. Delivery is always quicker than quoted and drivers friendly.

Worst kebab ever cold and slimey

The garlic sauce was a bit runny, but other than that the food was lovely and hot!

Everything was absolutely unreal, chips were proper chippy chips which tasted like they used to! Chicken tikka unreal, pizza unreal, salad fresh as anything…If this was a bird it would be Kelly Brooke. 10/10 guys

Ordered Our food over phone. We were told it would be 15mins. Still had to wait. Only live 5mins walk I used this this shop for my clients. (I'm a carer) used to complain for them. Thought it had changed after better word of mouth. Collected our order Chips dry as sticks Batter burnt. Dry overcooked fish.

I ordered separate fish and a small chips as these were for 2 different people the fish and chips came rammed in a box together when i tried to rescue the fish it broke into pieces so the person who only want chips could not have them, Order shish kebab the order page says with salad and dip and got no salad just more chips rammed in tin foil with the shish and naan bread. I was very disappointment when i rang them to say the order was wrong the man just said are the next time you order i give you something free he never offered to sort it out for us last night i ordered from some where else and they got my order correct. I WILL NOT BE USING THESE AGAIN.

Fish cake and chips were cold and very dry, as if they had been made for a while. Fish cake so dry. First time ever. The food has been unsatisfactory. Norlt the usual standards we've had.

No experience of the food. However they’ve just refused to serve my mam and 2 year old son a bottle of kids juice in 17 degrees because she only had card ( chip and pin ) and contactless. Nothing but greed.

Got the order wrong, I updated at the time was told a refund was being processed still not received ended up with extra chips no salad all paid for and wasted not great which is unusual

The large cod is advertised as cod and chips but it is only cod and no fish. A total con. £3.50 for a bottle of Pepsi is disgusting. Over a 300% profit on the cash and carry shop. Absolute con artists. Bartter soft and sticky. Greasy chips. Phoned actual shop and said didn't have time to assess the Justeat Application. Basically con artists. Say no delivery charge!! Christ they rip your guts out with greasy soft batter, no flavour and the fact advertised as fish and chips but no chips. Con artists

Chips could’ve used some salt but that was my mistake for not asking, apart from that, phenomenal.

I hate leaving a poor review as the food quality is usually excellent but for some reason this time the fish was terrible it was full of bones, dry and tasted “old” I seriously hope this is a one off

I was really disappointed, we have been using Bensham for a few years now it is our local. Our food today arrived cold. Everything had to be reheated which defeats having a takeaway. The app was not updated it just turned up, so who knows when it left the shop, as it was on time but as said cold. The first time I’ve not been happy with this takeaway. It’s put me off.

Food is always great from here. I've never been let down by these guys.

Food was okay the kebab was tasty. The spicy meat pizza may as well have been a spicy vegetarian very little meat on it and I wasn’t expecting “hot chilli sauce” to actually come heated up, just thought it meant it would be spicy - I didn’t even know that was a thing but it’s not nice with takeaway lol should be chilled, maybe a little misleading as most would assume spicy not actually hot and it couldnt have been that warm from just being in the bag with the pizzas and food.

Always order from Bensham Fish Bar, all their food is delicious. Thank you guys, lovely as usual.

Friday night delivery, only 20 minutes, food was fresh and hot.

Whilst the food was nice and the delivery was early the delivery driver was very rude

Chips good but sausage and burger were awful. Dry unbuttered bread bun. Won't order again.

Normally a great chippy. Never had a problem before and order from here a lot. Disappointed this time. Food arrived cold, not even warm - even though it was delivered early. Delivery driver would not come into apartment building to deliver to the door, instead I had to go outside for it.

Excellent food, i heard kebab was decent here and they didn't disappoint and the chips were fresh and tasty. The chicken tikka special pizza was yummy. The salad was also good, thinly shredded and fresh, chilli sauce good too. Cant fault the food realy good quality. Polite staff as well so will go back there.
