Lotus Chop Suey in Wakefield

First time we ever got from here and it's the best Chinese in 5 towns this is my go 2 from now on

1st time we have used here the food was great we will use them again

Foods generally pretty good but the delivery is atrocious, upwards of 2 hours for the last 3 deliveries. The last order was incorrect after waiting 2 hours for the food. Far from ideal but it does always taste good.

Awesome food. Delivery was late hence 4* but food arrived warm and tasty. Better than anywhere else local to Ackworth.

Don’t even no what to say about this place, ordered a chicken curry ALWAYS ask to not be too spicy yet despite after asking on numerous orders the curry seems to come spicier than it normally is!! Wouldn’t even bother ordering chicken and prawn curry comes with only 4 prawns. Rude bloke on phone never gets orders right and always rude. Won’t be bothering with this place again

Was told 30-40 minutes for delivery and it took just over 1 and half hours.

We always order from lotus but never again we paid for an order but didn't get the full order although we had been charged for it we phoned twice but got fobbed off Never again 😒

I think they must have a new chef. Usually chow mein comes in a tray of noodles then meat/veg etc separately. It’s all in one box now and very dry and extremely spicy for a chow mein. Disappointed

Disgusting service. Ordered our takeaway at 18.30, given a delivery window 19.30-19.50. Nothing arrived. Given incorrect updates. Called the restaurant, told it was on its way. Still nothing. Called again, and the guy put the phone down. Called back and was told the same thing and again he hung up for the phone. Absolutely shocking to wait 2 hours for food and to hang up the phone twice. You should be ashamed of your selfs. Oh and we’ve still not received the food we’ve paid for.

If I could give no stars I would. Totally wrong order, with some of it missing. They have done orders for us before and made alterations, but on this occasion when they’d done it wrong they refused to replace what they’d given us, despite them doing them previously. When I asked for the dish over the phone they never once said they couldn’t do it - there has never been a problem previously! Absolutely non existent customer service, flatly refused to sort it out. Avoid at all costs. We have used this Chinese for over five years and in the past few months the few we have had have been diabolical. We thought we’d give them another chance, but never again. Absolutely fuming!!!

Strange experience. We visited yesterday (Saturday 1st October) on our way back from a football match. My first warning sign was the outdoor signage lighting only had one out of four bulbs working. The guy behind the counter had some difficulty taking our three orders. Then when we got our food we were informed that they didnt have any plastic forks. He seemed to think it was funny. Also I had ordered a nice and simple order which was curry and chips which normally comes in a plastic or foil container with the curry sauce poured over the chips. Not so here. He gave me a bag of chips and a pot of curry sauce. We'll I say curry sauce it looked more like the chow mein sauce my mate ordered. My advice best avoid.

Had one Friday night starters were all what seemed to be warmed up never seen fresh as were the chips with the mains won't be using again

Just had a sirloin steak was the best I have had in a long time got to be the best Chinese in Featherstone was absolutely gorgeous much better than perfect kitchen

Used to be good here, but tonight was awful Sweet n Sour pork n beef in black bean sauce. awful tough as old boots very disappoing, wont be going back

food missing! I told the delivery driver before he left and he told me it was too far to travel back. Asked for my money back and gave him the food back. 3 items ordered... 3.... not impressed with the service and wouldnt like to bother them again with a 4 mile trip, clearly too much hassle

The King Prawn in tempura batter sometimes hit & miss. Beautiful dish when it arrives FRESHLY cooked Staff answering calls recently very helpful & polite

First time I've had food from the Lotus and although it's further to travel to than my local, I will be going back. The crispy beef was delicious and we'll priced 😀

Placed an order nearly an hour ago phoned up to see where it was only to have a very rude woman shout down the phone "its on its way" then slam the phone down. That was now 20mins ago and surprise surprise still no sign. Wont be ordering again will stick to perfect kitchen in future

Ordered a Chinese came and food was cold and greasy, also ordered salt & pepper chips with vegetables and got a bag of chips covered in salt (no pepper or veg) , was awful won't be ordering again, phoned up for a refund and got gob full about "it wasn't cold & if I wanted a replacement I would have to pay again"...what a piss take won't be ordering again..worst Chinese around here...
