Finally found a good takeaway,This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever eaten at. The food is delicious and the service is good. I definitely recommend it to my friends.

Order like 3 times a month and honestly wouldn’t order from anywhere else. Food always hot, portions big and delicious

Finally, we've found a decent local Chinese takeaway! We live in Guiseley and for some reason never tried this before. We've ordered from pretty much every other town local to here, and they've all been a bit rubbish. I got a chicken curry with boiled rice and it was very nice indeed. The delivery guy was cheerful, kind, and polite too. We will definitely be ordering from here frequently in the future.

didn't turn up,wasnt happy would not recommend this is the second time it has happened staff was rude when phoned back won't be ordering again.

The curries were tasty and you got plenty for your money.

This is the first time disappointed as the extras mushrooms were far too salty. My meal duck with ginger & onions also had too much salt in. Other guests with different meals to me seemed ok with their meals. Lotus please take note, LESS SALT.

Do not buy from here horrible food rude staff got spring rolls smelt like my dogs arse when he let's off.thw crispy shredded beef was soft tasteless and the noodles were crap ...ant a clue how they have five star lol rubbish quality I think my seven year old could make it better

The current owners have really found their feet in running this local takeaway. Great sized portions, cooked freshly to order and friendly service. The only negative is that they don't take card payments.

Finally a decent Chinese round these areas. Very nice here. Just a Tiny bit too much salt for me but will ask for less next time as its a preference. Combination starter with beef curry, fried rice. Good price and portion size. Delicious and had empty plates. Looking forward to trying something different next time. Thank you, il be back. Edit.. won ton soup was far too salty couldn't eat.. sorry ANOTHER EDIT 25/7/24 got salt and pepper box wasnt as nice this evening prawn toast was not the same got less too, No chilli or garlic in salt n pepper just salt. Tastes of nothing really. Didnt get my money bk or soup for last bad order as stated.. Staff are lovely but will NOT Be using this chinese again very disappointed chicken pieces tasted bit funny too, cant work out what it is.

Been going here around 35 years. Saw that it had changed hand and comments on prawn size. Asked in the shop and given the option of large prawns at a slight price increase. Opted for King prawn foo yung with fried rice. Told it would be 10 minutes. All good so far. Surprised after 3 minutes that it was ready. Took it home looked good, nice big prawns. Then I tried it. Prawns were tasteless. Foo yung over cooked, fried rice tasted just like bland boiled rice. I dont know how thats possible. I dont want to be unfair but this was not what I expect in Chinese food. I don't know if its because they rush the cooking or that he just cant cook but I don't think I will be back. New owner should have had a months lessons with the last owner to learn how to cook. Sorry. I appreciate your kind offer to replace my meal free. I would like your business to succeed as it has been a fixture in Guiseley for decades. That is largely due to the quality and taste of the food. I urge you to please investigate and rectify this issue. Maybe the past owners can offer help and guidance with this.

Visited for the first time after receiving a menu in the post. The food was delicious and the portions were huge lots of meat in the dishes. The special kungpo and the duck spring rolls are a thing of art. Also salt and pepper chicken is good!

The food tastes much better than before . Worth ,recommend crispy beef in chili perking sauce and ok chicken

Unfortunately since it’s gone under new management the food has gone completely downhill. The salt and pepper king prawns used to be huge - now are shrivelled up tiny prawns with tasteless seasoning. Quality of the beef is also worse, and the curry sauce changed for the worse a while back. Fried rice was also super salty. Have used lotus for years but sadly won’t be returning due to the poor food.

I have used lotus lots of times and normally they are good but unfortunately the food quality on their starters has gone down,and they are getting my orders wrong Will give them 1 more try only

We returned after a break of about 5 years. Sadly, the bad reviews are right. The satay was almost flavourless,as if it had been diluted to 10% of the original. Veg was sliced but hacked, Staff were sullen and made no effort. Maybe they get abuse from local drunks? Anyway it's a big disappointment. Won't be coming back.

All over cooked. Chips soggy wedges.

It was alright, tasted great but the gravy was just standard gravy and the curry sauce was a little thin. Unsure if there is anywhere better in Guiseley.

Been ordering from here for the past 2 years and the food has never disappointed me. Good price and good amount. Just to let people know, it doesn’t close at 2am but the owners don’t know how to change it on the website. It closes at about 10-11 depending on the day.

Chips nice sweet and sour sauce nice but the chicken balls were somewhat overcooked. Still at least it was open late at night .

New year's Day takeaway 2023 this was the worst takeaway I have ever had. Sweet and sour chicken was rock hard and solid. The chips were recooked from the night before. Salt and pepper crispy chicken was inedible. What a waste of money. This used to be a great takeaway never again.

I use to travel every Saturday from cottingley to guiseley just to get a Chinese from here.the special satay and noodles was to die for but since just before Christmas its changed I got the satay as usual but there was no taste to it. It was bland could just taste the veg it was awful. My partner lives at side of it he use to get 1 every other day but since just before Christmas its gone downhill I don't know if its changed hands but we wont be going again. Such a shame it use to be the best Chinese going

I’ve been using this place since the day it opened many years ago. Still the best Chinese food around. Just wish they would enter the 21st century and take card payments and deliver.

Its hit and miss lately and the chips are disgusting...they are using cheap potatoes again from morrissons wonky veg selections, and they taste awful.. and they are tiny and all seem to be cut from the edges of potatoes never the middles they are dry and never taste the same from 1 week to the next. If you go mid week its never as good as it is on a weekend too remember that... its a shame they are selling cheap rubbish chips but still charging an absolute fortune...i am not going again as it has gone really down the toilet over the past month! DONT BUY THE CHIPS

Delicious fresh tasting food, and plenty of it. Very accommodating, was happy to cook food not on the menu. Very friendly too!

I have been using Lotus for a number of years now. I find that it is a tad more expensive than other takeaway s in the area but it’s worth it. It changes hands occasionally but the food standard is always high.I always phone in my order and book a time . When I arrive the food is always ready. Have never been disappointed at all. The only downside is that it’s not wheelchair accessible due to the sill in the doorway.
