Lots Of Rice in Hertsmere

The “bbq” ribs were served with something that tasted just like salty meat gravy and the king po was soggy and mushy and all of it made us both feel grim after.

The Chinese I ordered for my mother was awful, she is not a fussy eater at all but this food was inedible when we called the restaurant they asked us to get the company that delivered to pick up which we could not do! I then had order from another Chinese place for her so I paid double as I could not get a refund on the food she did not eat and went straight in the bin.

We waited nearly 2 hours for food!

the food didn't have no taste at all to it and the meat didn't look nar taste fresh, ttotally waste of money.

I am a regular customer of Lots of Rice for the past 12 years+. I ordered a dry fried beef ho fun last night. This a savoury dish and I had it many times before. However, this time, the dish was sweet, even the beef!! I reported it to Just Eat and requested for a refund. This morning I’ve received a response from the customer service, they told me that each restaurant has their own cooking style and taste! They refused to give me a refund! This is totally unacceptable!!!

He called me told me to open the door he had not buzzed asked to buzz then asked if he was at a white, he was at the wrong address i said i had put directions he said what! i then said how to get as he was close quite simply but took a further 20 min

I waited 12 minutes from ordering to when my food arrived,fastest ever food order i ever received,spectacular.

This was the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had, it was such a waste of money as it went straight in the bin. I ordered chicken and pineapple and the chicken pieces looked and tasted like they had a fatty substance covering them. The rice wasn't great either as was a strange consistency. Only positive was the prawn crackers were nice. Was delivered on time..

Duck was horrible and it was full of fat

Soup was like water,no flavour. Anything with batter on tasted of banana.Ribs were all fat.Chicken 'sauce' was goopy and tasted powdery.Seaweed was missing

I ordered a pork dish and it went straight in the bin! It was so tough I genuinely couldn’t chew it. That was my main course so I ended up with rice and beanspruut. Very disappointing and I will not order from them again.

All the food was at a perfect template. Good size portions make this value for money. Unfortunately, our crispy duck came with pancakes, but no veg.

Took 45 mins from placing order at 8:45pm to delivery on a quiet Thursday. I called Lots of Rice after 15mins (as app showed 45min delivery but on placing order showed 20mins) they blamed the drivers said nothing to do with them! Had to beg for a free seaweed to make up for delay and they wasn't sympathetic at all but did provide free seaweed dish. I believe they are under new management from reading previous messages. I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years and expect better service.

Disgusting food had to throw it away. Vegetables were hard and not cooked. Chicken was so stringy tasted like it was cooked last week. So disgusting and so disappointed!

BBQ sauce a bit tasteless. Pancake roll far too big. It’s a shame customers can’t order at lunch time for evening delivery. It causes concern when orders are “not successful” and cancelled.

I watched the driver talking a route on the delivery map that took him out 20 minutes around towards elstree and barnet lane when he could have gone directly to my address in about 5 minutes, the food arrived cold

Lots of rice is probably one of the best of the worst. Most chinese take aways in Borehamwood are way below par, for the money they charge. Can be very hit and miss, but not as bad as some other options.

the item they sent was horrible only ate a small amount of the the Chinese was not very nice . i will never use lots of rice again. it's a long time since I had a takeaway as I am a pensioners but was so looking forward to this meal you did refund for the wrong item . if I had had my car I would have taken the meal back to the shop

Food is always delivered quickly and no complaints on the quality. My only feedback is that the sauce portions could be bigger.

Have been using Lots Of Rice for years. Traffic and parking outside store became really bad. Now they deliver its brilliant. Food always excellent.

Disappointed that I ordered veg spring rolls and they gave me the meat and seafood one instead. Not good when you have seafood allergies!

Unfortunately the food has a weird taste the mix starter all tasted greasy and the same flavour as it is smothered in a weird sauce which it didn’t state online. Couldn’t eat it
