Los Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse in Calderdale

We tried this place for the first time but will be back. We were seated in a booth that was perfect for our party of three, deco is tasteful and everything modern and clean. Lovely helpful staff served us a great variety of perfectly cooked meats. The fries and garlic bread brought to the table were scummy and the salad bar was pretty good too. A bit on the pricey side but not compared to some of the Brazilian steakhouse chains. If you like meat you will like this place.

As much as we loved the food (which was absolutely delicious), it was Julia who made the evening memorable. You could have the best steak in the world, but without someone like Julia there, it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable. She is truly a gem and an absolute asset to Los Pampas. In today’s world, where genuine service and real connection can sometimes be hard to come by, Julia stands out as a shining example of what outstanding customer service looks like. We could not pass up the chance of visiting this restaurant .All you can eat in 90 mins with a huge salad bar and a large selection of beef ,pork and chicken coming off the grill sirlion ,fillet,beef skirt ,gammon ,chicken The waiters keep coming round and carving the different meats in front of you . There is a proviso that to much left on your plate will result in you being charged for excess to prevent waste .We took the evening menu and certainly were stuffed . The meats were exceptional especially the beef . If we are in the area again we will be back

A great Brazilian Rodizio! They rotate freshly cooked meats of various types then bring to your table and carve them directly onto your plate.

Absolutely love this place. The staff greeting to the atmosphere and the outstanding food. We didn't make the full 90 minutes and my fella can put the food away believe me. We had great service, beautiful food and the salad buffet was outstanding. We had to quit the all you can eat early as we were well and truly full and my partner can eat a lot. The meat selection is truly tasty from sirloin to gammon and chicken and the staff are attentive and friendly. Amazing experience and would fully recommend it but go hungry 😋 We will definitely be back

Fantastic experience the meats were cooked and served perfectly. Requests were encouraged if you prefer a certain cut and my children loved the hot and cold buffet. Have been numerous times and is still great. New manger was also really friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely evening here last night for my partner's birthday. Food, staff, wine was all excellent. The only let down was adding the service charge to the bill. Because of the lovely evening and brilliant service and exquisite food, I would have paid more than the service charge and ....I did see that I could have requested it being removed... But as it was added, I just paid it... But I would rather it not be added in the first place and I would give what I think is worth.. sorry small niggle and it isn't the first time I've been and we will be back. Staff are brilliant. 🌟

First time here. Lunch meal £25.95 a head. Arrived and showed to our table and young girl left. We sat waiting for 10 mins before another lovely server came and explained how it works and took our drinks order. Helped ourselves to lovely fresh salads, the cucumber and mango was fresh zesty tasty 😀, they are in small bowls which is better because you know they are freshly topped up every few minutes. The garlic bread is to die for, it was soo tasty and you also get fries. So we had decent servings of the meats, all well cooked, juicy and tender and tasty! So well done to the chef. We did have to ask for the look lamb which was brought to us and the pineapple. Due to mother's Day it was busy hence slight slow service. But as you're restricted to 90 mins we had to keep checking on the time. Bill arrived which I had to question because they charged extra £2 and over £7 service. No-one had told us the price change for mother's Day and we had booked online and it was not on the website. Staff were friendly and apologised immediately cancelled the additional charges. Drinks are very expensive though... daughter had Mojito £10.50 and I had Mocktail at £6.50. However as we were kept waiting at least 20 mins overall, that ate into our 90 mins eating time. Overall we will go again, staff very friendly, food was good, background music was great, felt like getting up and dancing 😀 Think 2 hours would be good to chill, eat, drink, chill eat, drink.😀😀

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! We attended yesterday for mothers day and we totally get that it was busy but the owners were not equipped nor prepared for this. We ordered drinks which took long times to come and had to chase these up repeatedly. There were no waiters/ waitresses to be seen and had to be flagged down all the time. One lady asked if we wanted more garlic bread which didn't arrive for an hour! When she did turn up we'd already ordered desserts so she rolled her eyes at us when we explained that yes we did originally but it had taken so long we no longer wanted it. Then the desserts had to be chased up TWICE and only when it arrived were we advised that 2 of the orders were unavailable but they substituted one dessert without even asking the person if they wanted it. The food was good but overall the service massively let the whole experience down. To then add further insult to injury they included a 10% service charge of nearly £30 and only when I read the small print about it being optional did I ask for it to be removed. We would not have had a problem paying the service charge had we have actually received some service but to also add it on without asking us first is just plain rude. We won't be returning unfortunately. I hope the owners take this as a learning curve and improve for other customers.

Here for mothers day, absolutely amazing time. Food and service was outstanding. Had an extremely wonderful server named kiera, made our experience the best. Also nathan the meat boy was so kind and got us any meat we requested.

Had a lovely birthday meal here, food was amazing, even took personalised “meat preferences” lots of variety and range, good price, great staff - only thing to note is that we all felt very rushed , food came out too quick and piling our plates up and staff where constantly asking if we where done. But a lovely meal overall just wish we got a slower paced meal.

Vegetarian option was limited but the risotto was very nice and salad bar was excellent. The 2 for one offer on cocktails has some ridiculous rules around the deal. What made the evening for us was our waitress, Cody…amazing customer service…a true asset to the restaurant

Great service from the minute we walked In till we walked out .The food was amazing,The meat was the best .

Party of 20 was booked two weeks before however on arrival we were sat in 4 different areas, also over the phone we were promised groups over 10 would receive 2 bottles of Prosecco and desserts free even though it was a weekend. Another issue we had was the meat being undercooked, this wasn’t an issue for all party members however some people asked for steak well done and it was still brought round rare. This was a birthday celebration yet no celebration song or special dessert. The salad bar was promising although a few strands of human hair laying around and in some condiments. Apart from all this the food was delicious and we would recommend to others however large parties may have complications.

12 of us Visited for my sons 9th birthday on Sunday just gone 4 of us had been before the rest had not everything was amazing my son was happy and glad he choose the restaurant thanks to all the staff for a great meal

Think it was our 5th time here today for afternoon buffet, never disappointed. The Brazilian Steak, Minted Lamb, Garlic Steak etc are always lovely & tasty, nice side dishes and a very comprehensive salad & extras bar. No it's not the cheapest out there, but it's not wetherspoons quality either! Very tasty & hot food served by polite & friendly people. Ideal for a treat once in a while and we'll definitely be back again & again.

Would recommend this place to anyone, lovely food and service great value for money. Even though this is a steak house my husband is vegetarian and he had lots of choice. Only small complaint was the actual place was quite cold could do with putting the heating on as it is winter but apart from that everything else was great 👍

Booked a table of 23 for my mums 40th last night. The booking process was smooth, paid a deposit for everyone and felt good about it. The food was absolutely beautiful and a lot of us definitely got our money worth. Only problem was originally, one of the servers didn't take off my deposit, I had to show proof of it and caused a bit of stress for our party. Thankfully it all got sorted in the end and we all enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely come again x

My experience at Los Pampas was extremely disappointing. The staff made us feel rushed throughout the entire meal, as if they were more concerned about turning over tables than allowing us to enjoy our time. It felt like they were kicking us out rather than providing a welcoming atmosphere. On top of that, the service was cold and inattentive, and the food didn’t make up for the poor treatment. For the prices they charge, I expected much better service and a more relaxed dining experience. I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

I can honestly say that this was a fantastic little spot, the food was all cooked perfectly, the selection and variety was excellent and the staff the very welcoming and friendly and constantly checking if anything was required. will definitely come again.

Always love the food here. Went for my sons birthday. Wasn’t busy at all. Quite pricey considering it was empty. Could do with reducing prices to get more customers in. Anyway food was fantastic and left feeling stuffed.

We regularly dine at Los Pampas as there is something for every member of our family. The meats are always cooked to perfection, according to our taste and the salad and extras bar is packed with everything we love. The staff are brilliant, particularly the meat servers who are absolute masters!

Went here recently for a works meal on 18/11/24. Had a lovely selection of meats particularly the lamb was a must try. The salad bar had a wide selection of different starters/sides to choose from. Very friendly staff, was made to feel welcome, Would recommend very good value for money.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the area. Visited with a friend on an evening and had great attentive service throughout. The food was all cooked to a great standard and was full of flavour. Whilst priced slightly higher than other similar restaurants, the service and atmosphere more than make up for this. In particular, we were served by Cody and Venero who were polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. Would definitely recommend visiting with family, friends or business.

Did the restaurant have terms and conditions saying only 1 hour is allowed to eat? We have been here the third time and the manager says he recognises us that we are staying way too long, we did not constantly non stop eating for two hours. That would be way too expensive for £30 just for one hour. Never come back again. Additional,£30 for salad and vegetables? The meat is limited. By the way, they ruined my birthday :) All other all you can eat is 2 hours maximum. (Example: Cosmo, M8 Manchester) Awful ——————————————————————- Reply to the manager’s message: Why don’t you tell us when you are disappointed with us on the first time and second time? Do you have any evidence to show I took the full advantage? Why don’t you mention to the customers the limited time would be 1.5 hour when they enter the restaurant? (In fact the manager told us in person saying most people eat for 45 minutes and go) I have positive comments on other restaurants but I don’t think you deserve one. The comment you gave seems unprofessional and hope others could make their best decision on coming to this restaurant or not.

Great place, attentive staff and fantastic food. We went at 5.30pm on a Saturday and there was already quite a few tables full. We were shown to our table and within minutes we had our drink and the food was arriving on our plates. Gorgeous garlic bread and fries are included in the price and you just ask for more if you want it. Within about 20 mins of being there a huge group of 20-25 people came in and I honestly thought this would affect the service but it didn't. The meat is amazing. You can even say if you prefer well done or more rare and they plan their route round the room accordingly. Even the salad bar is amazing! There's a 10% service charge that's automatically added on the bill (you can ask for it deducting) but in all honestly we have no hesitation in paying it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Me and my partner visited last night and I can honestly say it was like a different place. Different staff were working along with the manager and all were extremely helpful and polite. Service all evening was brilliant and food yet again was good. Staff constantly checked in to make sure all was ok and ask if we needed anything else, drinks came quickly and meats were brought to the table often. If there ever was a wait for something, we were told there was a wait and was given a reason why, we weren't just left in the dark like last time. It's worth noting that this was a Thursday evening service whereas last time it was a Saturday evening. It was still busy however but service was levels above the last visit and the atmosphere amongst the staff and the visitors was much better. Thank you for dealing with this situation in the most professional way I can think of, this recent visit will definitely see me returning again in the future. Thanks again. *Original review* First time here last night with friends and can honestly say it was one of the worst services I've ever received. 3 poor waitresses with no manager in sight, massively understaffed for the size of the place and they could not cope what do ever. Waited 20 minutes after being seated for our drinks order to be taken, not the end of the world, 2 soft drinks and a jug of water. 10 minutes later the drinks arrived, no water. We asked multiple times for it but it never came. 45 minutes later a waitress asked if we would like anymore drinks, again asked for the same order and told we still hadn't received the water. 15 minutes later, 3 glasses of water came, a full hour for tap water, by this point we had finished eating. We waited 35 minutes for a pot of peppercorn sauce which was sat at the kitchen area for 15 minutes, before I went and got it myself after again asking multiple times for it. We then also waited another 60 minutes to pay our bill. From asking for it to finally paying, 60 minutes. The whole service was an absolute shambles, the 2nd drink order also never arrived. The meat itself was nice, however a lot of it was rare which was fine for me but not so good for my friends as it was too rare for them. The more cooked pieces were well done and dry, like there wasn't much in between. I feel we were only really served around 6/7 different meats too, not the amount listed on the website. Chips and garlic bread that came included were nice and the salad bar had a decent selection of items. All in all, food was good, nothing special but the service was the main reason for this review. Absolutely terrible.

Absolutely disgusted food was alright. But the service was absolutely disgusting. There was a pregnant lady present in our company. We were rushed and constantly asked if we were finished. Pregnant lady asked for all meat to be well done as expected for a pregnant lady. They gave meat that still had blood. They then came over after they had cleared the table of plates that was finished with asking if we had finished (pregnant lady still eating)she said no and the waitress still tried to take her plate. Then they had the audacity to charge a service charge of 15 pound odd. They made it seem like we were not welcome at all and for the amount of money we paid for 4 people. They didn't even inform us that they had added the service charge and rushed us to pay. Would not recommend at all especially if you have someone pregnant with you. Been here a few times and this one as put us off from ever returning. £174.02 we paid to be made to feel like they wanted us to leave.

It was our first time at Los Pampas and definitely we will return. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The food (and meat) were perfect. As a expat Portuguese family, we felt at home and our kids loved the experience.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the great dining experience I had at your Brazilian restaurant last Saturday (Lunch). The hospitality & the food quality definitely matched my expectations, specially the authentic Brazilian feijoada. I was also impressed by the exceptional level of customer attention I received from the 2 meat carving serving waiters. Vanerão & his other friend were attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning soon for the evening dinner.

Came here saturday just gone, food was nice and two of the waiting staff were lovely and attentive, however the manager (John?) and a waitress (Louisa?) seemed to be very little besides gossiping behind the bar, gave off a very unprofessional tone and seemed to be upsetting the other waitresses, the manager spoke very rudely to the waitresses, overall a disappointing experience, need to get new waiting staff and manager then we will be back

Went today the man that claims to be the manager is very rude spoke to my disabled partner with disrespect 😤 over charged us and spoke to his staff with no respect either he must be new claims to be a manager if so needs training again first and last time in this place disgusting man again i wouldn't recommend until he's gone

Went today for first time in ages a man who claimed he was the manager was awful full of attitude rude would not recommend going there anymore he was just so rude to me and my family and was trying charge us more than normal

the waitresses were lovely here but that’s about it the food were absolutely appalling not worth nothing, we basically ended paying for the salad chips and garlic bread what a joke the meat was literally scraps the other bits of meat were still running round I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog but to be honest there wouldn’t be enough for a dog which is a teacup chihuahua took them 20 minutes to bring to out scraps then it was gamon which was extremely dry, chicken which was also dry and meats that one minute running round next minute you could snap it was that dry it is not worth going unless your a vegetarian or like ur meat running round still.

Me and my wife are regulars at Los Pampas - having first attended on New Years Eve 2022, to our most recent visit just tonight, we cannot get enough of the place. The chefs are always so polite and friendly when they're serving you your food, the waitresses are always attentive and friendly too! We had a minor slip up with a discount not being applied to our bill, despite our loyalty card being full (I said we were regulars!), however Kayah quickly rectifed the situation for us and made sure we were looked after. It's a shame her colleague Jhon (who's name we only obtained from the receipt after we brought up the issue with the discount we'd earnt as he ultimately refused to engage or even glance at either of us after simply pointing out that the discount for their loyalty scheme is effective for the time we were attempting to use this) put a slight damper on the general mood. Overall a good visit, but as people who visit the restaurant a lot and even checked the website to confirm the terms of the loyalty scheme, please do not ignore your customers because they raise an issue that is a simple mistake which is easily rectified! Again, thank you Kayah. It was a pleasure to be served by you, always!

Great place to eat! Our first visit we was a little disappointed as they had a cover chef in however after speaking to management the next day they invited us back when the normal chef was in and we was very impressed. Now it’s a regular stop for us when nearby. Delicious food ever since the one off bad experience and it was dealt with in such a professional manner. Highly recommend

Food is always incredible. The price is fair and reflects the sheer amount of food you can get. I think if I kept the marker on green, they would feed me steak until it closed. Staff are always polite and friendly, always accommodate your needs, and consistently check that everything is OK. The chef even cooked my meat differently to everyone else's as I prefer it more rare The quality of this place has kept me coming back. Its well worth your time if you're in the area. We will be back!
