the food was so bad and the waiter was all sad and that. they spilt some of the drink of my partner jitney and the food took forever to come ( 2 hours) and it was superposed to be a quick snack and the food was def not kosher. and it was fricking moldey. just like the waiter.

You guys have this disgusting pig reviewing your restaurant. He lures people in and secretly jerks off in your toilet.

Not sure about Mediterranean food or otherwise. We just had a sandwich and cake with tea. The food was fine and the staff were charming.

I was unfortunate to have visited this “restaurant” last night, to say it’s a restaurant that offers what it says on the menu is so untrue. A Mediterranean restaurant that serves white sliced bread, with butter instead of pitta bread says it all. Then when you ask for pitta bread they say it’s not available in Scotland. Look out your window and across the road is a Tesco they have loads of pitta bread!! Ordered a meze to find one of the dips fizzy. But instead of trying to explain this to the waiter, they were more interested in asking 2 couples to leave as they had caught the staff out lying. A Turkish man and Indian lad were so rude to the customers all because they asked for what was on the menu and they didn’t get it. Apparently customers are always wrong here. All they too were asking for what’s on the menu and were shouted to leave. The only people entitled to shout is the customer as your ripping them off. Another review says AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, they are the best and most honest words I have read about this restaurant. It really is that bad. Also, If you look at any positive reviews these are mainly from reviewers with 1 or 2 posted reviews, so be aware I think there reviews might not be as independent as they could be?? Do yourself a favour don’t go in, as you will regret it. Diner beware!!!!

First time here and last time! We arrived for lunch. There was a lunch time specials menu advertised outside the door and as our student daughter had offered to pay, we decided this was our best option. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time. We were shown to our seats and given menus. But having looked at the menus we realised there were not the lunchtime menus so we had to ask for these. We choose the Meze Trio and Crab Cakes both with homemade bread. When they arrived the Meze had obviously just been poured out of a jar and we had 2 slices each of shop bought baguette. And the crab cakes were burnt. The owner/manager asked if we were on holiday, we said no we live here. Then he started chatting. The mains arrived all of the same quality, out of a jar, cooked from frozen and with no taste. They charged us £2.25 for a canned coke! When we came to pay they said there credit card machine "was broken". This should have been explained to us before we had even ordered that we could not pay by card. Our daughter had to walk a quarter of a mile to reach the nearest ATM! We told the waiter we were not happy with the food and he just shrugged his shoulders. The owner/manager came out and asked how was our meal so again we said we were not happy with it. He just smirked and shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Terrible food and couldn't careless attitude from the owner/manager and staff. Will never come here again or advise anyone else too. Not very good for any poor unsuspecting tourist who might be tempted to eat there and certainly does not give Inverness a good image.

Central, clean, friendly staff. I would travel back to Inverness just for the Lasagne! We went elsewhere the night before and wish we had found this first as I wouldn't have eaten anywhere else again....delicious!

Went for an early quick meal with friends. A very friendly waiter but down hill fast from there. We all had pizza which had very soggy bases and toppings that were no better at £12.95 each they were also a complete rip off. I hope the waiter gets a job somewhere else so that he can serve decent food.

Thought we’d try something different from the regular choices, giving a small independent restaurant a chance. Firstly I asked for a glass of water (needed to take tablets) only to be told that the weather outside is bad, so the tap water would not be any good, and was told to have bottled water instead. Since when did we drink from rivers? Felt he just wanted to sell us water! Bad start. We had the 2 course lunch special, ordered Calamari as a starter, to be honest it was awful, it was batter with I don’t know what was inside! Complete waste of money. When the main meals came out, they were a lot better, but not great. Would I visit again? In one word ‘No’ There’s better quality and value out there Advice to the restaurant take the Calamari off the menu

Booked to go here on our first night in Inverness as the menu looked reasonable and it is very central, big mistake. Friday night and we were the only two in the restaurant, alarm bells should have been ringing. My partner's meal arrived with half the ingredients missing along with all the taste, a dressing of pomegranate with no pomegranate!? instead smothered in cheap vegetable oil. Barely edible but tired and hungry from travelling over 200 miles we ate most after complaining about the quality of the food. No offer to take food away and produce something corresponding to the menu, excuses offered: thought pomegranate had gluten in it!!, this was a dish advertised as gluten free with said dressing! the chef was from an agency and was not good and would not be back! When presented the bill, I said I was disappointed that we were charged full price for the sub-standard food and missing ingredients, more excuses regarding poor chef but no offer to reduce bill. I paid bill in full but told the waiter that I was so disappointed that having complained and his agreeing with my complaint but not reduced my bill, I would not be leaving a tip for only the second time in 30 years. Waiters reply, we don't need your money it's not important, I don't care. This is why this restaurant is near empty every night, worst place I have had the misfortune to visit in the lovely city of Inverness. Our experiences everywhere else we went was very good.

I came in around 8pm on Saturday night to have something to eat as I was working away from home. The place was so quiet and I honestly don’t know why. The food was brilliant. There wasn’t one thing wrong with my meal, all staff were so friendly and checked on me as I contuied my meal. I will 100% return if I ever come back to Inverness.

Wish we had read reviews. Should have known.. it was empty on a Saturday night. Ordered meze what we had was ok but no spicy sausage arrived and the bread was sliced white and a bit stale. On asking where was the sausage and pitta bread we were told it had been busy at lunchtime and they’d sold out. Can’t believe they couldn’t have popped to local supermarket to at least buy some pitta bread!! Another party came in and on asking the same questions as us but in a slightly less tolerant way... were actually thrown out of the restaurant! The waiter just kept telling everyone else they were from London as if they were the problem. It’s a shame because if only they had said from the outset they had sold out of bread (?) and sausage but could offer alternatives probably wouldn’t have had an issue. But to just serve the meal without saying a word and hope we didn’t notice or complain was not the way to do it! Noticed that everyone who did venture in ate very quickly and left probably never to return. The two words “captive market” spring to mind. Inverness is full of tourists and as such not going to be repeat business. So who cares. ☹️

I have never experienced such a bad poor and rude service, and then to be asked leave as the waiter felt embarrassed with what they had offered.

Obnoxious, rude behavior by waiter. Refused to serve what we wanted, and said cannot have the servings we desire, but what he recommends. Have never seen such a negative guy in my life..... Please avoid this place at any cost. Terrible experience....

"Mediterranean". Too big a mix of Med, pizza, pub food, etc. Izmir Kofte was bland and not very good. 40 pounds for 2 without drinks is too expensive. Service variable. Recommend you go somewhere else. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

Hamdinはトルコの方で、とてもフレンドリーで居心地が良かったです。窓側の席からは、ネス川と、インバネスの建物、美しい緑がみえます。ブリッジから中洲まで歩いて帰ってくると１時間かかるので、休むのに丁度よいです。オリーブの沢山のかったサラダとハーブティーをいただきました。美味しかったです。

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal on a soggy Saturday night. The warm welcome made up for the wet weather! Mixed starters were quick to arrive and tasted great. Next up were the meat platters, arriving at the table sizzling away. Our youngest diner opted for a seafood pizza and was not disappointed. It arrived on a wooden board and certainly hit the spot! Dessert and coffee rounded the meal off nicely. With friendly waiters and reasonable prices, we were more than satisfied with our meal. Recommended

Visited free for dinner and was not disappointed. The service was first class from Hamdy and Stephanie, very efficient and very friendly. The food was excellent, I had the mixed grill, very very good and my wife had chicken sizzler, none of this had been frozen or from a tin, as previously suggested in other reviews. No, no complaints from us and we’ll be back

Raheem was really nice and friendly and our chicken salads were quite good. The feta and olive appetizer was superb. They have a wide range of offerings on the menu, all looked quite good.

Had a great dinner tonight. The staff were very friendly with a great selection on the menu and at a beautiful location.

We were part of a Rabbies Tour of the Highlands and were in Inverness for the night. We wanted a break from traditional Scottish fare and enjoyed great Mediterranean Food of sizzling chicken and a Turkish dish with tomatoes at Loqoom. The owner, HamDin, stopped by the table to chat and to offer advice on what to see in the area. The restaurant is on the river next to one of the main bridges. We enjoyed it very much and recommend others to go.

Had an amazingly delicious lunch. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend the sizzler from the main menu. Great lunch special.

I stopped in for an early lunch before my train, and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the manager Hamdin was friendly and an excellent host. I would definitely come back on my next stop in Inverness.

We should have known better than to enter this characterless restaurant which was empty on a Saturday evening. This and the fact that the owner practically dragged us inside was a pretty big ‘tell’. Some of our party were very eager fo eat, so, against my better judgement I went in with them. The owner told us that we had to order some very expensive bottled water since Inverness water is not drinkable because of the rain!!! Come on! We are from Vancouver. It rains there too.

Ate at Loqoom 2 years ago while on holiday. Stopped in for lunch today for fish and chips. Atmosphere is wonderful, meal was excellent! Great views of the Ness River.

We arrived late and hungry. The only restaurant nearby with seats was this one. Should have told us something. The waiter conned us into buying bottled water as I now see others have reported. The food was bland. We were told to go get cash as internet was down. We said no. He just didn't want to pay the 2% fee for using a card. He finally went upstairs supposedly and found a card reader that worked. We should have trusted our instincts and kept on walking.

No hint of the spices Mediterranean cuisine is famous for. Terribly tough and tasteless meat - all of it, in the mixed grill (which I did not order).

We have just left this restaurant, unable to eat any of the food. Although they denied it, all of the food was clearly frozen and reheated and that wasn't even done properly - my chicken was lukewarm. The rice was incredibly salty and tasted like microwave rice. The mixed grill was inedible. The chips were frozen, and again verging on cold. The only thing that was eaten was my daughters fish fingers and that's only because you can't really mess up frozen fish fingers.

On a cool and drizzly night, we walked in this restaurant off the street without looking at reviews. We were sorry. I ordered lasagne, which came with fries (??) and salad, which turned out to be about two tablespoons of shredded lettuce with one small tomato wedge. My husband got the penne arribiata, which was supposed to come with cherry tomatoes but didn’t. Both of us agreed that the red sauce on our dishes tasted like it came straight from a can of tomato paste, with no refinements. We will not return. I saw two women looking at the menu outside as we left, and warned them away.

The location is picturesque on the river and convenient when sightseeing near the Inverness Castle. I made a quick stop in for lunch and ordered the Meze Trio to start, which was fresh and tasty. The Mixed Grill was delicious. The wait staff was a little overwhelmed even though it was a light crowd, but not unexpected on a holiday.

Definitely one of the worst eating-out-experiences I've ever had! During lunchtime, we ordered a sandwich and pasta with grilled vegetables. According to the menu, the sandwich should have been without mayonnaise and the pasta with aubergines and courgettes - none of that was the case. Instead we got a very bad sandwich with mayonnaise and overcooked pasta with too much oil, two pieces of broccoli, corn and carrots - everything seemed to be out of the freezer. We told our waitress that we were disappointed, but although she told us she would tell the chef, they just brought the bill (Almost £10 for the worst pasta ever!) and fudge (Does every guest get sweets with the bill? We have no idea!) to our table without saying a word (or saying sorry). We may be hungry tourists, but that doesn't mean we're stupid! This is probably the worst restaurant in Inverness, so stay away from this place!

We've had lunch and the service couldn't be worst. We waited for an hour before they started to bring the dishes but they brought everything at the same time (starters and main courses) because he has forgotten to bring the startets. Moreover, we asked for three starters thant included "a special turkish bread with seeds" but they brought no bread. When we asked, instead, they brought us some microwave-defrozed sandwitch bread. The table next to us asked the same started and got the turkish bread. When we asked about tje different bread they told us that our bread was the sane when it wasn't obviously.

Went into this restaurant and tried to order a toasted sandwich the waiter couldn’t speak English, the waitress was as miserable as sin and was rude to another customer. When our order arrived it had not been toasted it was just a normal sandwich, we sent them back all they did was take out the filling and and toast the bread the salad was chopped lettuce and a piece of lemon and no coleslaw, it was an absolutely disgusting, if I could give it a minus rating I would, we won’t walk through that door again , avoid at all costs.

Capitati per caso qui a cena martedì 21 Agosto 2018, stranamente il locale era vuoto, poi abbiamo capito il perché. Le pietanze che abbiamo preso erano senza sapore, purtroppo il prezzo è da alta cucina. Il locale si riempie di persone solo perché i ristoranti vicino sono pieni e rifiutano i clienti. Se il cliente spendesse la cifra per come mangia, sarebbe passabile, ma con cifre del genere pretendo di mangiare discretamente. Non tornerò in questo locale, prima di tornare qui, andrei 50 metri più avanti al M/D.

We stopped in for a bite to eat at lunch on our first day in town. The menu was different than I expected for my first dining experience, but choices were decent. We started with soup and calamari - the soup was delicious, the Calamari was a BIG disappointment (seemed as if it were basically microwaved out of a freezer bag, and we only got 4 small pieces). The entrees were tasty, and I felt fair for what we paid. My only complaint would be that service was a bit scattered and slow for how busy they were at the time we were there. Because everyone rotated through to do everything, it was difficult to catch the attention of one for refills on water, and when it came time to pay the bill. I wouldn't say I hated it, but I can't say that I would be in a hurry to return.

Visited on a Wednesday for dinner and was extremely disappointed. The service was terrible. Girl behind the bar could not crack a smile. Food was overpriced and below average. Nothing was fresh. Not recommended. Go somewhere else!!

Decidimos comer aquí por la ubicación (al lado del río con buenas vistas). Pedimos el menú de mediodía que era starter y main (no siendo pasta ni pizza). Elegimos alitas de pollo (la salsa sabía rara) y calamares (no sabían a calamar) y de plato meatballs (aquí las albóndigas son planas) y Scottish meat. Ambos platos era carne triturada hecha o bola aplastada, o cilindro. Aceitoso y con saber a quemado. Y todo con mucho orégano encima (cómo si al echarlo se hubiese abierto el bote encima) Iban acompañados de ensalada, cuya lechuga no tenía buena pinta, y arroz basmati que ayudó a comer la carne. El precio de esto, una cerveza y un agua fue 29,90.

Comida regular y servicio peor. Con el local casi vacio, esperamos más de una por el segundo plato hasta nos fuimos hartos de esperar.

We had noticed this place when we were looking for lunch, but they weren’t serving at the time. Came for dinner tonight as they have quite a varied menu. Lovely location right at the bridge with big windows, so nice views. The place was very busy but there seemed to be a lot of staff who didn’t seem to have much to do. Service was quick. Very limited wine and beer selection. I had the lamb and chicken kebab meal which was fantastic! A huge portion, nicely cooked and served with salad, rice and an interesting salsa. My partner had an order of calamari which was very odd looking, but we both agreed the breaded rounds did contain calamari. He had the salmon, which was a good portion served with carrots and broccoli and salad. It was a little over cooked and quite average in terms of seasoning.

Overprized for what it is. Put things on table that were out of cans, not handmade food. Bad quality but super expensive. Stay away, absolut no go.

We were looking for a nice place for a family meal out. We decided to try here, because quite honestly it was a busy Saturday night and we were starving.

Hier gegeten omdat alles vol zat. De bediening is correct en snel het eten smaakte ons niet bijzonder. Er is voldoende kans op goed eten als je vooraf even reserveert.

We arrived at 9pm for dinner. Two other tables arrived after us, were served and finished eating before we were served. The mushroom starter was good and arrived after 45 minutes. But the lamb meatballs only had 2 small meatballs and the vegetables were mushy. The rice was cold and the salad not dressed. Unfortunately, it was our worst experience in Scotland.

AVOID! Wish I had read reviews prior to sitting down and ordering. Calamari was disgusting - overly breaded, most likely straight out of a frozen bag that had expired. Also ordered tatziki and other sauces but were served warm and runny with white bread instead of Turkish sesame bread. Another customer was complaining about the sore taste of the chicken. Plenty of other options.

I honestly don’t think I have tasted anything quite so disgusting charcoal chicken wings !! the only thing they had seen was a deep fat-fryer I bit in to one and there was still blood, I left the rest the Aberdeen Angus burger had certainly never seen Aberdeen only thing it had seen was a deep freeze with hoofs and horns hadn’t even melted the cheese but left great lump of grated cheese on top we paid the bill and left before we ended up with botulism. I would have given this no stars if I could

On est rentré pour un petit lunch vite fait sans vérifier les commentaires. Mal nous en a pris. Un service déplorable. Ils sont nombreux à servir mais sans savoir le faire. 3 tables et une attente et sans obtenir ce qu'on souhaitait et on était pas les seuls. D'autres francophones en faisaient les frais également. Fish and chips et sandwich poulet grillé. Bref fort déçu.

Near the foot of the bridge in Inverness is this small, well-decorated, bright Mediterranean restaurant. We got there after 8, so it was not very busy. Good, attentive service. I had the chicken and lamb kebabs with basmati rice and a small salad. My wife had lamb kofte - a minced lamb with spices, like a meatball. All good. A bit lighter meal that was filling and tasty.

Das Essen überzeugte leider gar nicht, lasches Gemüse, trockenes Fleisch, verbrannter Fisch + ödes Frites. Schade, aber das gibts.

Terrible, stopped in for a quick lunch, ordered a chicken sandwich, but was told they were out of chicken, so I asked for the egg mayo. It came with a tiny bit of salad but no chips as the menu described. The bottom of the sandwich was soaked in oil. No flavour and the whites of the eggs were big chunks, and so hard and chewy it was like eating an elastic band. Couldn’t even cut the chunks with a fork. My friend ordered the meatballs and rice, they were extremely small and tasted bad.

As we were passing through Inverness on our long day trip in Highlands we stopped here for a dinner as it looked from behind the window quite a nice place. The service was ok, but no more no less. The same the food. Only thing what was excellent was the non-alcoholic cocktails (as I was driving the car) Pink Grapefruit Cooler. Prices little bit too high for what you get.

Five of us ordered five different meals - all were less than ordinary. Waiter was lovely, but food was too awful to compensate. Avoid...

Nunca me habían tratado tan mal... Fish & chips, patatas fritas y blandas, el pescado recalentado y blando, la hamburguesa el pan se deshacía en la mano, fría. Cuando nos retiran el plato, sin preguntar si queremos postre o algo más, nos trae la cuenta... Alucinante. Cualquier otro sitio de inverness te tratan mejor, me sentí despreciada.

Sur la carte tout semble prometteur, mais une fois dans l’assiette quelle déception. Plats sortis du congélateur et sans saveurs. Service correct.

We ordered appetizers: calamari and Spanish meatballs. 4 Calamari rings (which looked like onion rings) we questioned if there was anything in them; 6 meatballs were tiny, hard, dry (possibly frozen). We intended to leave, but the waiter asked us to try the entrees that “were ready”. 10 minutes later our dishes came out. Chicken souvlaki with basmati rice, chicken was dry, burnt flavoured (dare I say tasted what I imagine an armpit is like?) and rice was incredibly salty and was actually minute rice; Aberdeen burger which had of been a standard frozen burger with kraft singles cheese; spaghetti with prawns, prawns were incredibly over cooked and noodles were horrible.

We ate here twice during a three day stay in Inverness. The food was good, and service was prompt. Giving them 4 stars instead of 5 becasue their wine list was pretty limited.

I have to say the food was brilliant as well as the customer service. I came along with 5 friends and my daughter. The serivice was brilliant and quick. When it came to paying my bill I wasn’t very pleased. I asked a young man whom looked like to be a waiter but nor did he look like he wanted to be in the restaurant! I asked him to separate the bill as we all wanted to ot separate and he said “no can do” within two minuets a very polite blonde waitress came over to say she would separate the bill for us. I can’t forget to mention the dark haired waitress who had brilliant customer service skills and spoke so politely.

Decided to Pop in here and try our first "Greek Food", this place offered a good variety of G/F food as well as the regular menu. We both opted for Lamb dishes, both different but very good and plentiful. Lovely restaurant, run by a lovely young lady and 2 young men, All of which were Cheerful and friendly and chatty and most helpful, with food advice. The restaurant was very clean and nice and close to Main bridge into City Centre. Was a little expensive, but would possibly eat here again, next time in Inverness.

Look nice from outside. I ordered spaghettie bologna’s and hubby ordered lasagna with a side order of garlic bread. When it came the plate was full to the top it looked as if it had just been slapped in the plate and it was dry with no sauce lasagna was dry also as for the garlic bread it was sliced from a baguette which we could have made better ourselves. Worst meal we have ever had so disappointed x x

Nous nous retrouvés dans ce restaurant faute de place dans les autres.... Cuisine un peu grasse, bonne sans plus. Le personnel est aimable et le service correct.

Fresh and vibrant welcome to a quality restaurant serving bright flavours and imagination . Now having eaten there on a few occasions i will happily return . I would recommend this place to anyone . Good food , good service .

The pasta who supossed to be little spicy was not spicy, and my beer did not taste good. My friends hamburger was too small and wrong kind of bread

I stopped in for lunch, and there were only 2 other guests. I ordered Greek salad, which was huge, but missing red onion. It was fresh and tasty. However, the calamari consisted of exactly 4 rings, not a good value. Service was good, but then again, they only had 3 people to take care of.

We visited once last week and enjoyed our dinner. The staff were very helpful and the food when it arrived was freshly cooked and hot. Our only issue was having ordered a Lamb shish a Chicken shish arrived instead which we accepted as it looked good and it was! Would certainly revisit.

Het eten wat Loqoom serveert is niet van goede kwaliteit. De pizza’s zijn niet lang genoeg in de oven geweest om krokant te worden. Dit zorgt ervoor dat het deeg niet volledig gaar is. Er zit heel veel kaas op maar bijna geen groente, tonijn of garnalen. De service is verveelt en onpersoonlijk. Ik deel met tegenzin 1 ster uit maar het eten was echt niet goed.

Will cut to the chase. Ordered the Lamb Shank which came with a meat free bone on the edge of the plate. Said bone had baking foil wrapped round one end ???? There was what was supposed to be some kind of Mediterranean tomato sauce splattered all over the place and a few tiny chunks of SHIN OF BEEF on the opposite edge of the plate. Said tomato sauce was half a can of tinned plum tomatoes boiled with a sprinkle of DRIED oregano. I've opened hundreds of tins of plum tomatoes. Butcher/Chef with forty seven years in the catering trade. May god be with u should you choose to dine in this PRETEND Mediterranean Restaurant. Almost forgot, don't leave a tip because according to an Eastern European gentleman sitting next to us who claimed to have worked upstairs in The Shapla Indian for almost a year never saw any tips, as Boss took tips home with him to keep his car in petrol. Same owner. You really couldn't make this stuff up. John Cleese.

I have visited this restaurant on a few occasions now and the service, quality and quantity of food is one of the best restaurants in Inverness. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

My suspicions were aroused by the fact the place was empty whilst all the nearby eateries were bustling. Menu was average and overpriced. Went for 2 pizzas at £12+ each believing that no one can get pizza wrong. Out came two tasteless overcooked Tesco type economy pizzas! My own fault, had I looked on trip advisor and followed my own intuition I could have spared myself and my partner an expensive and very disappointing experience...

We waited over an hour for our food to come. We ordered garlic bread which arrived at our table soggy, 50 minutes later where we were then told our meals would be another 10 minutes. The garlic bread was taken back to the kitchen and we did not get a new serving but it was still on our bill. The staff were very apologetic but only getting offered a complimentary drink did not make up for the long wait.

Service was so bad and it was so late we waited an hour then we walked out We won't go back and recommend you don't go

I ordered steak and ale pie and received a plate swimming of gravy with some meat and chips, when challenged I was advised they had no pastry, as the waiter didn't speak English I just gave up. This place blatantly rips tourists off and should be ashamed.

Wir sind am frühen Abend spontan im Loqoom eingekehrt, da wir in anderen Restaurants in der Umgebung kurzfristig keinen Tisch mehr bekommen haben - eine Fehlentscheidung.

Had a really bad experience here i had the breakfast which consisted of a mushroom a egg that looked like it fell on the floor a potatoe waffle and sausage and beans toast with no butter when asked for butter and a egg which had yoke in it i had to wait ages for it and when that came it looked even worse than the first one i had to send it away as i lost my appitite and didnt end up eating anything off the plate so i didnt have to pay thank god the weather spoons up the road did an amazing breakfast and even cheaper go there instead

The service to the table was rude from the outset, the waitress walked off with menus leaving us at the bar area, we then looked for her and she was standing by a table for us. She then took a drinks order, which didn't appear, then another waiter who had been arguing with another customer then served us, with the opening word of YES!.

Service glacial, on sent qu'on gêne !

Upon arriving at Loqoom we were greeted by a pleasant but not particularly welcoming waitress. As we were shown to a table by the window we passed the bar where female and male members of staff were frolicking around.

Steak pie and peas - had no pie crust and no peas so basically stew and chips - vegetarian moussakka had no bechamel sauce (as advertised on menu) portions were tiny - and check your bill if you have the 2 courses special as 2 tables were complaining of being overcharged whilst we were there. The waitress spilled soup over the couple at the next table (managed to spill both bowls over both customers at the same time - quite an accomplishment!!) but the stew and the aubergine tomato bake were tasty and hot. Lovely view of the canal but wish we'd gone somewhere else.

My husband and I are locals and decided to try Loqoom for lunch after seeing their lunch deal advertised. The meatballs tasted like they were in tinned spaghetti sauce, were raw (pink) in the centre and the carrots used were frozen. The carrots were actually still frozen in the middle. We unexpectedly had to leave in a rush so did not have time to inform the staff that we were dissatisfied - we left the payment and had to go.

Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant n'ayant plus de places dans l'autre en face le zizzi . La commande passée parmi notre groupe un seul homme le serveur Etant d'Inde ou Pakistan ne s'est adressé qu'à lui. Ce que nous avons mangé n'avait pas de goût. Je le déconseille.

Pour ce qu'on a payé, on aurait pu s'attendre à mieux. Les beignets de calamars n'avaient aucun goût, et le burger consistait en.... un steak entre 2 tranches de pain. Il y avait un peu de salade et des tomates à côté et voilà. Il n'était pas mauvais en soi, mais c'est du niveau de ce qu'on pourrait avoir dans une cantine d'école.

I ordered the tuna mayonnaise sandwich with a "generous" helping of tortilla. Firstly, they mixed my order up with my dining companion's. Secondly, there were 7 tortillas. Thirdly, the salad tasted like a fish trawler, and had evidently been stored on a heap of fish. Fourthly, the bread was really crumbly and worth no more than 5p a slice (could have been an Asda job). Fifthly, the tuna was horribly sloppy. Disgusting and throughly worthy of my condemnation. Never again.

Loqoom promotes itself as a Mediterranean restaurant The metze plate we ordered was delivered to the table with four slices of plain white bread! (With an apology) The vegetarian penne ordered as a main meal contained broccoli, baby corn and baby carrots that reminded me of a pack of frozen mixed vegetables from the supermarket. The chicken and mushroom penne was no better with big chunks of chicken and hardly any mushroom. At £50, not value for money.

On trip to Inverness we had lunch here. Chicken soup was sour and uneatable. Chips came 15 minutes before main course and were cold on arrival. Chicken salad was disgusting. Fish and chips were ok but very small portion. We sat outside as we had our dog but had to go inside and hunt for cutlery and condiments. Very disappointed that we were too soft and should have refused to pay. Total waste of £30

This Mediterranean restaurant is nice and particular.

We had a lovely day but did not book anywhere in Inverness beforehand. Loqoom was not busy and that should have given pause for thought but no! Ordered a small glass of Rose wine - my first mistake and it did not get better with the food. Prawn starter - I paid £6 I think for 3 prawns from the freezer! Husband had beef stew which was OK apparently. My lamb shank was nice meat but the sauce was watery and had half potatoes in it. Left as quickly as possible. Should have complained but was so angry at myself for staying, just paid up and left.

The breakfast was very disappointing: The scrambled eggs looked like a piece of bread soaked in eggs, the poached eggs were normal boiled eggs and last but not least the omelettes were soaking in greace.
