Food wasn’t nice at all frozen sausages on breakfast and frozen fruit on what looked like slop on pancakes. Wouldn’t recommend and surely won’t be going back

There is nowhere for an accessible wheelchair vehicle to park. Apparently the outside area which is gated cannot be accesed due to council restrictions. We could see a ramp to enter the cafe but due to the above were not able to try the menu which did look good.

Consider yourself warned about this place!!! Absolutely disgraceful service and extremely poor communication from all the staff. Having walked a fair bit (for me) to get here for lunch, first impressions were not great as most of the empty tables were filthy with previous customers dirty plates piled up. Despite this, we were about to order - the cashier knew we wanted hot food (2.28pm) but I took a moment to check what my husband wanted and in that time told (back to the counter at 2.31pm) that the kitchen was no longer serving hot food as it was after 2.30pm There was no communication about this from staff, no signs / warning, full menus on the table to say that hot food stopped at 2.30pm and the staff really couldn’t care less. When I told the cashier, she knew I was about to order she acknowledged this and initially there was not even an apology - just ‘tough luck’ you’re a minute over attitude, what a joke. We had a child with us, I am also a disabled person who struggled with a walking aid to slowly walk and make it here and instead of seeing this, being flexible, given they knew we were about to order hot food off the kids menu and was in the process of doing this, they refused to take the order as during the ordering process I was a minute over - really??!! I explained to the waiter that gave us the table what had happened and he said they’d just ‘decided’ to do this and nothing he could do - utterly ridiculous!! If you have customers come in and you know you’re about to stop serving hot food you should tell them immediately, have different menus of the food you offer and have clear signage. I was so frustrated and angry, it made me tearful (mainly as I knew this was ridiculous and I had a hungry child who wanted a hot meal), so I asked to speak to a manager to complain and was told to go on Tripadvisor to share my feelings - so here you go. What a baffling and terrible way to run a business. Given the stunning location, what a shame - this could be such a special place. We will not be returning to this poorly run establishment.

Amazing views, and plenty of seating in cold weather. Was clean, and service was quick. It was nice to sit, eat, and watch the sea, but the food did slightly let it down. Drink was hot and the place was not too noisy. Lots of dogs in enclosed outside seating, but not allowed in the cafe. Parking is on the street, so may prove difficult in the hotter weather.

Great mid-point of our walk stop for us. Coffee is always good; cake portions are impressive. Service is mixed. Baristas are A* but a bit more training required for one of the lads who was happy to stand around in a sea of dirty dishes and unbussed tables chatting while I wasn't getting served. I wouldn't tolerate that in my establishment sonny. Views are great and lots of outside tables for the fabled warm days we are promised soon....

Food was good, but overpriced for what it was; you're paying for the location, which is lovely. It's roadside parking, which was no issue mid-week in March, but I would imagine becomes pot luck in high season. Dogs are welcome in the rear veranda seating area.

From the outside tables, you have a view of Weymouth Bay to the right and Bowleaze to the left. Sat outside as it was at least a little bit sunny. It's a great spot just to chill and enjoy a light lunch or cuppa. Food has never been anything but excellent. Staff were friendly as well. We went for lunch, 3 of us had pickle and cheese sandwiches with a small salad garnish. The bread was stale and cheese plastic. Not a good lunch for £7. My son had sausage and bacon sandwich, again stale bread, tasteless sausages and one small slice of bacon between the 2 sandwiches, the gulls enjoyed it! We paid £5 for tea for 2 and not enough for 2 tiny cups each. We were all so disappointed having read the reviews. The staff were really nice though, Valerie

The food was very basic. Quantity, not quality. I just paid £10.95 for "twisted fries (vegan): spiced fries topped with homemade twisted beans ragu, melted vegan cheese & chives." What I got was oven chips covered in tinned tomatoes cooked with some chickpeas & butter beans & a minimal seasoning, & no chives in sight. This is not ragu. For some reason it's on a chopping board. After walking half an hour & with no other options nearby I've eaten a third of it & headed off. Nice view over the bay though. Unless you like a greasy spoon I'd avoid.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Roman temple ruins. The cafe has the perfect location looking out over the bay, and has seating both inside and out. Staff were super friendly and even though it was fairly close to closing time they were incredibly accommodating. We had the seafood platter, and even though they did not have a lot of crab meat, they offered to make it up with another part of the platter instead. That being said, the platter had a great portion of each of the seafoods, and the salad was very good too. Personally I really enjoy radish in salads so glad to see it here. We also got a milkshake and a smoothie, the milkshake was a great refresher and my partner said she loved the smoothie. Finally we also had a couple of cakes to finish our lunch, I had a rocky road which was superb, and my partner had the largest slice of coffee and walnut cake, which of course I helped finish off. Definitely worth going for a nice meal with a view!

Avoid! We went in for ice cream - they had about 3 flavours out of the 15 or so advertised. They blamed delivery. When we ordered 5 they handed us 5 pathetic tiny scoops in tubs - didn’t even ask if that was ok. When we complained the manager aggressively told us “we are closing next week so running supplies down” as if we were somehow outrageous to expect cones/to be told there was no cones before we paid. It needs a good clean too inside.
