Hello, I have known and loved the LookOut Cafe for it's views for decades. So popped up for a quick coffee today. Could not have been more disappointed 😞 I ordered an Espresso, single shot apparently. Knew it would be strong so asked for a little hot water, happily served. But £2.40 for not even a soup spoon full of coffee ! I'm confused 😕 ? Would two shots/soup spoons have been £4.80 ☹️ Sadly after so many happy memories 🌞 Thermos cup and a bench for me from now on. I despair of finding an affordable, tasty coffee in Dorset 🥲

Excellent venue. Fantastic views. Super dog friendly. Outdoor/awning/inside space so lots of options. Free parking on the road.

Treat day ..and was not disappointed.

A little last-minute lunchtime soirée with my good lady. Quite an impressive selection on the menu and the portions were ample. Café style service but staff were lovely. Pirched on the top of the hill at Bowleze Cove, with some great views of Weymouth Bay and Portland harbour in the distance. On street parking is the only option but this will be busy during the summer months.

Went today for first time. Had a lovely prawn cocktail sandwich and a texan ciabalta roll which was well priced for the amount we got and beautiful views as well

Fantastic views, plenty of places to sit for lunch. Great food, very little waiting time. Very nice friendly service, coffee and tea were just spot on after our long walk. Again cake.....lots to choose from...and we just had to top ourselves up for the walk into town. Worth a visit.

Great food and drink in a fabulous location

Absolutely stunning views, lovely staff and the food is great too. Would highly recommend a visit even for a cup of tea and just to enjoy the views across weymouth and portland.

After 10 years of visiting & always messaging before to check still doing pancakes & hours of serving them made the trip today to be told ran out! Wouldn’t recommend anymore! Guessing they have changed hands. Had to get £50 refunded and go elsewhere! Would not recommend. Was always our favourite place!

Fantastic views Well, it's worth a visit Have not eaten there, so reserve judgement Disabled can park near the cafe but display your badge. Access is not great, but it is possible with help.

An absolute gem of a place . Whilst on a few days break we used this place 3 times . Meals were fantastic . Cake good . Coffee good . We have always loved Weymouth and Bowleaze Cove . This cafe is well recommended

Came on a Saturday morning and it was very busy. Easily a 15-min queue at least which just shows how good it is. Food was tasty and sitting outside was lovely. The daytime menu also looked amazing

Amazing time....maybe its was the view or finishing a night shift....but yeah the atmosphere was awesome, until it got busy...then noisy....I guess when it gets warmer it would be gorgeous sitting outside in the sun 🌞 ... Hot chocolate very yummy had too much froth and less fluid was given a replacement, - so great customer service, full breakfast delicious, scrambled egg okay but a bit too dry for my personal preference, also had smashed avocado with poached eggs and added smoked salmon...my fault should have delayed the delivery has by time I got around to eating it was cold... possible change to black pepper to give a bit more bite and taste.... overall a nice experience.

1st time I have visited this café and was greatfully surprised,food was lovely and the latte was really good too!

Great location overlooking Weymouth Bay.We regularly walk along the coast from Weymouth to the Lookout cafe(about 2.9 miles) and look forward to a nice cup of coffee & slice of cake.Very good range of hot or cold food available and plenty of seating both inside or out.The staff are very friendly and polite.Definitely worth the visit.

Lunch on a sunny day, with family. The loaded chips were lovely and plenty of them. The gourmet burger was delicious and the teas and the fruit smoothies went down very well. An ideal place to eat and relax in an informal setting....with great views over the bay!

When I lived in Weymouth, we came here at least once a week. Now we've moved away, we visit when we can. Food has always been good but the only problem we have is that my wife cannot eat baked beans and as all breakfasts are set, they will not change items. We therefore go elsewhere for breakfast. Things used to be about the customer!

Cute cafe on the cliff top, very popular and friendly. Lots of outdoor table and benches. Had a coffee which was super hot and fruit scone. All nice.

Something fishy. One of our group had to send her breakfast order of eggs royale back as the eggs and muffin were stone cold and the salmon smelled and tasted rather sour. Staff offered a full refund but she paid for her replacement of toast and jam. The two full English breakfast orders were fine but nothing special.

First time visiting today and I can reassure you it won’t be the last! The food was divine; I had the mac and cheese loaded fries and they were delicious and well priced. I had a caramel latte too, it was also well priced and genuinely one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Even had to get one to take away! The atmosphere was lovely and the service was perfect. The staff are so polite and welcoming. Five stars all around!

The atmosphere is the best part about the place, the food isn't always fresh and the tables are barely wiped down in contrast you don't have many options in Weymouth.

Smashing Café for a meal at any time of day.

I love this place. We come here all the time and they never disappoint. I was worried when they said there was a change of ownership but it’s still the same great staff, great food and great service. We got there at 9.30 and I thought they were closed but a lovely lady came out and told us to come in. Our food was served really quickly and was lovely and fresh. Coffee is really good. The service was warm and friendly. Even had a giggle with the lady who served us about not eating our tomatoes (you had to be there). We finished with a beautiful walk over the top of bowleaze cove. It’s one of the best views in Dorset as far as I’m concerned. Well worth a visit and great if you have dogs xx

Food is always good, never greasy with good variety to choose from for breakfast and lunch. Amazing views over Portland and Wyke, will keep coming back here!

In the midst of a stormy weekend A lovely place to dry out, food was excellent, hot coffee and service quick and friendly.

Wonderful breakfast and cafe is clean and fresh and looks brilliant. The staff are happy and helpful and the menu is very tasty. The one thing which has remained the same is the view and that's no bad thing as it's beautiful. Great place for children and dogs, especially when the sun's out.

Lots to like here not least the location and stunning views. It has a laid back vibe despite being busy and impressively that was on a drab monday morning. What this place must be like on a summer weekend is a tad scary. Still good service, ticket time reasonable, just wish there were more vegan options (at breakfast there is pancakes or beans on toast). We had one of those each, and were fine. Will return, just time it right and if you are not vgn enjoy

Food and service a bit meh, but you are coming here for the location anyways, and what a location that is. Finish your breakfast/ lunch and take a stroll around the edges because the view is something else! (Parking could be a problem if you show up late....)

Even when short staffed with a reduced menu the place is still superb. Lovely staff and food and the views are spectacular - well done guys 👍

Ordered slices of cake from a glass display cabinet. Cake was handed to me in take away cartons and when I got home it was not the same cake I had chosen but a very poor lookalike.

Always coming back, glad it's not my local or I would be 30 stone.

Cliff top overlooking sea has great views. Recommend the Bubble & squeak. Can sit in or out to suit. Nice visit

Always enjoy eating here. Best to go in the week when slightly less busy. It's popularity speaks fathoms. Great that it's open all year for us lucky locals.

Cannot fault The Lookout! Always excellent food and even when understaffed the food comes out quickly and service is with a genuine smile. The menu is great with some really quirky items and the cake cabinet leaves you wanting more. And I haven’t even mentioned the view!!! (Which is nothing less than epic….!)

Coffee was nice but when my husband told me that a waiter who was going in from outside, passed another coming out with food for guests and took a chip from the guest's plate, I wasn't impressed.

Really great view, even on a cloudy day. Go closer to the edge after your drink/meal. Live locally but not eaten here recently, disappointed the pancakes weren’t freshly made as before, but then the service was quick. Not quite what we expected but others appeared to enjoy theirs. Great for dog walkers.

Lovely views, had a breakfast which was nice enough but they really need to improve the quality of the sausages as the last time I had them was at School.

Wonderful position on top of the cliffs looking right across Weymouth Bay. Open for breakfasts and lunch. Seating inside and outside, dogs welcome. Good menu and quick service even when busy. Food cooked to order. Parking on the road. Lovely walk over the grass to Bowleaze Cove, along the pebble beach and back to the cafe.

This is a great place to eat. We went up In the morning on a beautiful sunny day. The view was incredible and the food a good standard. Our family had 3 different pancake dishes, a kids breakfast and I had a bacon and sausage sandwich. Everyone was happy bar me as the bread was lovely and thick but 1 piece of bacon and a sausage split down the middle was not great portioning, in my opinion. However, all tasted good and would highly recommend it. When I go back though I will have a full breakfast rather than a sandwich 🥪

It was perfect. We really enjoyed the scenic views, the food, and very grateful to the smiling happy staff who went out of their way to help.

Such a gorgeous cafe, perched on the hill overlooking the coast. Really good menu and helpful, polite staff. Well worth a visit.

Have been to Weymouth many many times, but this is a lovely spot for breakfast, which is what we stopped for. End of May half term and clear beautiful sunny day. Food was prompt and well presented, set up for a good day along the front. Lunch menu available, but didn't try that so no comments. Well worth the walk for the scenic views of the Jurassic coastline

It is absolutely brilliant as always. I have been going to this place for 40 odd years and never ever had a bad meal or service ever. This is the best place ever for stunning views and the best food/service can't recommend enough love it
