Long Bar at Sanderson in City of London, Westminster

Was meeting a quick friend at the bar to have a drink before dinner. Andrea made me feel special the second I sat down at the bar. After asking me what I liked, he made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu. It was DELICIOUS, creative and its made me wanna come back to Sandersons for cocktails. You can tell he loves what he does! I didnt expect to have such a nice experience having a drink before dinner but I did and its because of Andrea & his hospitality & creativity. I will be back and bringing friends :)

Had some wonderful cocktails at the bar. Great atmosphere and brilliant service from Serhat who made our drinks for us. He even helped us choose.

I have been to the long bar several times it never fails to disappoint. I want to applaud Andrea who on the first time we came to the long bar back in early April curated a wonderful set of cocktails for my partner and I through flavour profiles and discussion- the talent and dedication clear to see. This last visit in May was classic cocktails and good instincts from the team which led to another excellent visit. David masterminded a solid couple of classic cocktails that were balanced and well crafted. Then expertly helped me end the evening with a Charlie chaplain a cocktail id not even considered. We had a great time both with privacy and great drinks and attention to detail. David, Serhal and Mohammed thank you for your hard work to make our experience special even whilst busy and doing the same for so many others excellent bartending a credit to the profession. Would recommend the long bar for events, meetings and generally excellent bartending something all too rare these days.

The wonderful Andrea served as our guide as we worked our way through the Sanderson’s excellent cocktail list — and we quickly trusted him enough to try some of his own concoctions. The Frangelico Sour (in particular) was a concept I’d have never contemplated if I spotted in on the menu but Inwas certainly glad I did. Thanks for a memorable afternoon, Andrea. We’ll definitely be back!

Nos alojamos en Sanderson en enero y vinimos a calentar en el bar. Me encontré con Serhat que es un camarero extremadamente talentoso y José que obviamente estaba a cargo. Entre ambos tuve un excelente servicio, bebidas increíblemente bien hechas y un gran tiempo. También calenté.

Carlos mezcla fabulosos cócteles y David era un anfitrión perfecto! Me encantó el Sour y el Manhattan perfecto era perfecto. ¡Debería visitar el Long Bar para una experiencia maravillosa!

I asked for a Gin martini with a twist. It was handed to me in a wine glass, tasted like vermouth and cost me £20. Do not recommend

Very disappointed experience. I was celebrating Christmas party with my team and decide to start with a nice drink.The atmosphere is very flat, no music no vibe, only one bartender and very busy try to serve everyone, the peanuts was stale, very expensive and poor service.

We war about a week ago as a family in your Bar and had a few cocktails and coffees. We where served by Alex, who was very nice to us and who made his work very professionaly. We are glad to come every time again in your bar.

Decent selection of drinks, cocktails etc. The atmosphere is quite flat though, no real vibe. And although the website says it is open until 1, the bar stops serving at 12. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes up for the other points.

Fell in love with this bar back in November and have been returning ever since. Currently staying at The Sanderson so frequently visit the Long Bar. The staff is very attentive and friendly! Yesterday i had the pleasure of having birthday drinks on the terrace. Antonella, Domenico and Alessio took incredible care of us! Thank you for always being so friendly, professional and attentive!

Domenico was welcoming, charming and highly knowledgeable on the menu that he had created. The drinks he made were all really interesting and tasted superb.

If you’re going to Long Bar ask for Alex. He was extremely attentive, patiently working with me to craft the perfect extra dirty martini off of gin and brine recommendations (even allowing me to taste a small bit of brine to better understand the combinations). Highly recommend.

Antonella was a great server and she helped me try new drinks.

The restaurant service was shocking. Three staff at the front desk, but nobody serving me. As it happens, I wasn't in a great rush, but it was appalling. The meal came before the drinks, which came half an hour after sitting down. Later I sat at the bar and got served out of turn. Having waited 10 minutes, had a white wine recommended when I asked for red, and then the wine was actually unavailable. I left and had a nightcap in my room instead.

Just dropped in for a cocktail. Great service and cocktails made with love. Will definitely return.

Have been here many times but not for a few years. Antonella served us and was fantastic, gave us great recommendations and the signature cocktails were delicious. Will be back again and hopefully Antonella is there!

Antonella and the team were amazing. Great advice on cocktails and we had the freedom to choose where we sat. Hadn’t visited here for years but promise I will be back. Highly recommend the Timeless Memory and Girl On Fire.

What a fantastic afternoon at Long Bar at the Sanderson Hotel! We had the privilege of having Antonella around to help us with any questions about drinks and explain so much about the cocktails on offer. They were so delicious and will definitely be back and looking forward to seeing Antonella again hopefully!

Very quiet on a Friday afternoon but after a few rounds of Peroni's at £7:50 we thought we better go to the pub. Plus side is an American Pool table that's free to use in its own room off the entrance lobby.

Expensive ! No vibes not for me I won’t be going back , slow staff and also just to loud with the dj blarring house music, very quiet when we went

Went twice on the 26th jan early doorsdrinks , great, nice drink, good service, very welcoming bar staff . Went back later for last drink not so great experience . On both occasions i had difficulty getting on the bar stools and had to be assisted by my niece . First visit bar staf enquired if we were ok yes thanks fine all well . Second visit , security were called by bar staff to ask us to leave . He said we had had enough to drink I explained I can’t get on the stools without help as I am disabled after having strokes my left side is very weak and we were not drunk . Eventually had one drink and left no gratuity paid on this second visit . Security guy at door apologised and said he didn’t realise, we said that staff need better accessibility training regards disabled clientele as not all disabilities can be seen so don’t just assume people are drunk . We left . My advice don’t go if disabled as def not welcoming in our experience . I also emailed the hotel group with my experience to give them a chance to respond . So far no reply . Hence why giving this review .

This is my favourite bar for cocktails and we visited again Saturday after dinner and theatre in town. I've always loved the atmosphere of this bar and was thrilled to be able to go back again - first time since the pandemic. The drinks are always wonderful and the staff always very friendly, polite and helpful. If a drink you like isn't on their menu they will still make it for you so don't be afraid to ask.

Absolutely desolate on a Saturday night from 7-9, but the cocktails were very very good. If you want a good bar where you’re basically guaranteed a seat in central London then you can’t go wrong, but beware as cocktails are £19 each…

Terrible service, manager so rude, made to feel like we weren’t welcome. Looked down upon us for no reason. Left straight away, so uncomfortable, ruined my night. Never go back

Had a Mad Hatter themed afternoon tea at the Sanderson with my partner for our first visit to London. We came in with minimal knowledge on the customs and what to order and expect but Sanyogita went above and beyond in ensuring our first experience was a success. We luckily were able to witness a ballerina show this visit as well which made for a great first experience!

Had a few drinks in the Long Bar last night. The atmosphere was great, and Darina makes the most fabulous tasting Appletini, that is to die for!

Was passing by and drawn in by the decor and lovely bar. We ordered just 1 cocktail each as we had plans. Would of loved to stay longer and try the afternoon tea and possibly stay in the hotel. I would highly recommend trying the Long bar brillant service and the bartender was very professional and friendly, his colleague provided me a great recommendation which was "the catwalk". Will definitely be going back when I'm in London again.

We decided to have a drink at the Long Bar before our afternoon tea booking at the Sanderson. The bar decor is nice and the drinks choice is good, however I felt the service was lacking. And actually I felt like we'd inconvenienced the bar man for asking for drinks. There was no atmosphere but we were there mid day on a Sunday I'm sure it would be better at a busier time.

Zero atmosphere, get the feeling it is past its heyday. Mediocre service and shockingly the bar bites are not complimentary. First hotel bar I’ve ever seen that. A definite miss, there are way better options in London. Go to The Connaught, NoMad, The Beaumont, basically any other hotel bar. Absolutely not a 5-star experience.

I’ve been coming to this iconic bar for many years and it’s always a good experience. Staff are friendly & efficient and cocktails are great. On this particular Friday evening, however, it was surprisingly quiet. The DJ was playing and the atmosphere was good, but maybe the bar needs a little reinvention if people have moved on to other places.

Ugh…. We have regularly spent time at this bar over the years but it has begun to really let itself down. The staff made an adequate cocktail but were absolutely horrific when it came to service. We made numerous attempts to get the servers attention for a second drink but were greeted with a smug smile and a complete lack of attention. We would have happily spent more time and money here but the staff failed to acknowledge us and lacked any ability to a manage an extremely empty bar… This place has gone downhill and needs to refocus on the basics of good drinks and good service. After many years of enjoying evenings here, we won’t be back

The Long Bar is a gem in a jewel of a hotel. Illy, our bartender, is a man who takes pride not only in his mixologist skills, but in the way he makes his guests feel like they're special. Highly recommended.

I was a regular at the Long Bar for a while now and I always felt welcome by Angelica, Ilya and Liz but unfortunately today I had a terrible experience with other remembers of staff and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I really hope the staff and management takes notes on great customer service from the amazing three people that make this place special As a regular guest of the bar o should be treated with at least some degree of respect
