London Showboat in City of London, Westminster

So so disappointed in the lack of customer service of this company. We came from Canada and booked our tour months ago, which just so happened to have landed on the night before the queens funeral, boarding at Westminster Pier directly in front of the 4-mile queue for the viewing. Being foreigners, roads were closed off like crazy, and despite us leaving early, our bus took us a completely different route. We messaged the tour operator, and when we finally showed up one-minute past due (7:46pm), the crew member looked at us as he denied us entry, then proceeded to undock the boat, and then ignored us as he drifted away (photo attached with time stamp, 7:47pm). When we phoned customer service, they refused to refund us the $75-per-person or even reschedule our tour, but rather just offered us a 50% discount on our next booking. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m shocked that there was 1. No response to our message to the tour operator, and still nothing hours later 2. no grace period, even when the entire nation is

Nous avons fait le dîner croisière sur le Showboat samedi soir, et nous n'avons pas du tout été déçus ! Etant 4, nous ne pouvions normalement pas avoir une table à la fenêtre et contre toute attente, on nous avait installé à une grande table contre une fenêtre, la vue était fantastique. On en prend plein les yeux, Londres de nuit est magnifique, les monuments illuminés le long de la tamise sont incroyables. Le dîner était tout à fait correct (pour l'Angleterre, c'était pas trop mal^^), le service très bien, et l'ambiance chic et tamisée. Une chanteuse jazzy a animé la soirée et sur la dernière heure, la piste de danse a été ouverte pour ceux qui le souhaitaient. En conclusion, super ambiance, vue magnifique et dîner très agréable. Parfait pour un samedi soir à Londres !! PS : nous avions réservé une date en promotion, bien moins cher que les tarifs affichés sur le site de la compagnie. Vous pouvez guetter les dates promo pour faire une bonne affaire (nous avons payé 57 euros par personne, boissons incluses, au lieu de plus de 90 euros !)

Un tuffo nella Londra di notte accompagnati da ottime portate. Romantico come il bateau mouche parigino, i camerieri sono gentili e disponibili. Avevamo allergia ai funghi e avvertendo per tempo (almeno 72 ore prima) ci hanno modificato il piatto. Durante la cena c'è un artista che canta e fa un po' di cabaret è simpaticissimo. Il percorso parte dalla bellissima dalla London Eye fino all'osservatorio di Greenweech.

Die Fahrt mit dem Showboat hat beinahe nicht stattgefunden. Wir waren aufgrund des Verkehrs 15min zu spät und das Boot hatte schon abgelegt. Die Crew war so nett und hat das Schiff extra zurück gerufen. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Essen und Wein war fein. Sängerin und Bedienung haben ihren Job auch sehr gut gemacht.

This was the second time my husband and I have been on the London showboat. When we initially boarded, we were seated next to a couple we didn't know. They were lovely but the seating arrangements are so close, it felt really uncomfortable. I think luckily for us all, the other couple were offered a free table further back on the boat. The food was lovely, served quickly and the staff were all nice and friendly. There was lots of information given of passing landmarks and a bit of history too which was nice.The entertainer wasn't the best singer, but he had a great presence and had us laughing. There's a lovely dance floor too so after dinner we danced the night away. Overall a great night, and we may even go for round three!

We had an enjoyable evening on the Thames. The booking staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic when we had to change our booking due to a family bereavement. The boat was in very good condition (almost new?). Dinner seating was comfortable if somewhat cramped but the river views of London by night were fabulous from our table and even better from the spacious top deck! We had paid extra for a window table for two and were glad we did as other couples were having to share tables with strangers in quite cramped conditions! There were approx 100 guests. We had fun but I think this is probably more enjoyable if you go in a group of friends. Staff were attentive and welcoming from the off-set. The service of food and drinks was extremely efficient and friendly. The main course and the soup were served impressively hot. The salmon mousse starter and the chocolate pudding were delicious. You get a standard wine included in your price but can easily upgrade if preferred (we paid an extra £5 for a bottle of very nice prosecco). Maybe we didn't read the details carefully enough as we had expected a live band but only had a singer with backing tracks. However, she sang lots of pop classics and a few show tunes very well and the atmosphere was pleasant throughout.NB Don't expect any info about the passing scenery! On similar trips in Paris, Amsterdam and elsewhere we have had famous sights and local features pointed out. On this trip there was NO such information apart from being told when we passed under Tower Bridge which was a no-brainer really! Over all it was an enjoyable evening and we certainly had plenty to eat. It's worth doing once!

Esta fue una tarde muy triste para mí. Era mi noche de cumpleaños en Londres y mi pareja y yo habíamos buscado en Internet un poco más de viajes en bote "elegantes", ya que la mayoría en línea parecía barata y desagradable. Encontramos el showboat de Londres, ya que pensamos que se veía más "allá arriba" y a 89 por persona así lo esperábamos.Qué equivocados estábamos. El bote se retrasó 1 hora ya que hubo una falla en el motor. Al llegar, los entrantes ya estaban en la mesa esperándonos (las mesas que puedo agregar eran de aspecto desagradable y las sillas eran como el viejo estilo de cine con trozos sacados de ellas). Era un entrante comestible, aunque lamentablemente no era casero como mi compañero podía decir, él era un chef y todo. El segundo abridor no fue mucho mejor tristemente. Un líquido barato casi "fuera del paquete de trabajo" apareció frente a nosotros. Sin embargo, el tercer curso fue el peor. El pollo estaba seco, no había suficiente salsa para acomodar al pollo excesivamente armado, calabacines gruesos hervidos, zanahorias y dauphinoise que se repitieron en mí por el resto de la noche.Al presentar una queja ante la gerencia, recibimos una bebida de cortesía y aparentemente recibimos un reembolso parcial por la demora en zarpar. En mi opinión, debería ser un reembolso completo. La cocina ni siquiera está a bordo del barco, todo está literalmente enchapado frente a todos en el piso de los botes. No soy un snob de comida pero cuando pago un precio tan alto espero algo un poco más de buena calidad. No me puedo quejar del personal, eran encantadores y muy serviciales. Fue solo la comida lo que me decepcionó.

Booked a window seat for my wife and myself, had a great view of the sites. Trip goes from Westminster pier to the O2 .Enjoyable 4 course meal, wine with meal easy drinking. Also had a bottle of Prosecco. Lady singing was enjoyable, latter had Music to dance to if you wanted. We both found this a relaxing enjoyable evening.

It was fun and interesting to cruise the Thames during the evening hours. The food and wine were quite good, but the entertainment was diificult to hear and appreciate.

We enjoyed the food, drinks, and entertainment, but above all we enjoyed the views of London. The various city-scapes can be seen from the water during the cruise, and it's beautiful.

The 3 hour dinner cruise was a good experience but nothing great as such.

Fui comemorar meu aniversário, foi a terceira vez que fizemos este tipo de jantar, das outras vezes em Paris e Nova York e adoramos, mas desta vez ficou um pouco abaixo das expectativas. Confuso para encontrar o barco, apesar de estar escrito o pier, quando se chega no local não tem nenhuma placa indicando o barco, então você acaba ficando bem perdido, a recepção é bem fraquinha, não é tão acolhedora e simpática, como se espera em um passeio destes. Quanto a animação no barco, não espere muito, havia uma cantora, porém durante todo o percurso cantou pouquíssimas musicas. A comida é boa, nada de extraordinário. Londres é uma cidade linda, então o percurso vai lhe render belas fotos.

Realicé este tour nocturno de tres horas, con cena incluída y show en vivo. Totalmente recomendable porque Londres de noche desde el Támesis es muy bella. A no esperar una gran cena y un gran show en vivo, pero el paseo vale la pena

This is a nice dinner cruise on the river to see the sights both in the daylight and the evening. The food was good, the staff very attentive and the singer was wonderful. It provides space for dancing, as well.

Got given this gift as a Christmas present as myself and my partner love doing activities, so this was a great gift for us. The cruise lasted around 3hrs ish and it honestly went so quick I wish it was a little longer. Entertainment was good, very cheerful man singing and giving us a lil tour guide. Staff were AMAZING can’t fault them at all. Every staff member had a smile on their face. Fantastic evening and worth the price!

Mejor experiencia de la que esperaba. En primer lugar, una bienvenida inolvidable en el muelle por la anfitriona Deborah. Ella realmente merece un aumento de sueldo. Segundo equipo muy amable y buena comida en el barco. La comida era deliciosa y fresca, 4 platos y medio una botella de vino todo incluido. I was taken here as a surprise and what a lovely surprise it was. The staff all friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere just topped it off. I would definitely do this again! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Celebramos nuestro aniversario de bodas de plata este año y pasamos un fin de semana en Londres, este viaje en barco iba a ser nuestra cena "especial".

We had a brilliant time on the showboat.

I bought this experience for my other half for his birthday. It was a shame we could not book at the weekends as the voucher only allowed Monday-Thursday bookings – however a good excuse for a long weekend in London. After reading some of the reviews I was worried about this experience however I was really really impressed. We emailed a few weeks before to request a window seat as there was only 2 of us and we were worried about sitting on a table of 4 with other people, we were told this was requested on our booking but could not be guaranteed. On the evening all seats were allocated which was stress free and avoided a fight for the best seats – luckily we got a window seat which was perfect. The boat has large windows all down the side so you can see everything but if we had not got a window seat it would not have as good of an experience. The starter was served immediately (Salmon mousse and bread) along with drinks orders quickly taken. Overall the food was really good and a lot better than expected for a boat – always kept hot and served in good time.

From start to finish cannot fault this wonderful occasion.

Couldn’t fault this evening - price included excellent four course meal, wine and coffee with mints. Food was great and so was the service and staff. Entertainment was provided and seeing the zlondon skyline lit up at night was memorable.

La comida era muy razonable y suficiente con un vino razonable y buen servicio. Qué diferencia de ver muchos de los edificios familiar desde el río.

Arrived at 7.30 and went straight onto the boat. Only about a third full so every couple had their own table hence no sharing.. plus some tables were empty. Didn't book a window table but asked on arrival and was allocated one on sailing due to no shows. Very good meal and friendly efficient service. lady singer was good and sang a mixed selection of songs.

Cucina internazionale, buona. A pagamento vini, spumanti e cocktail. Abbiamo preso un paio di pina colada che si bevevano bene. Personale gentile e accogliente. Brava cantante che ha eseguito alcuni brani dal vivo su basi. Possibilità di ballare fantastica musica disco anni 80. Anche qualche romantico lento. Affascinante vedere Londra di notte!

Viajaba con mi madre y mi primo desde Australia que estaba desesperado para ver los lugares de interés. Qué increíble y especial manera de hacerlo. El servicio era fabuloso. La comida superó mis expectativas, era hermosa. Fue divertido y el entretenimiento lugares espectaculares. Encantador y cálido abajo justo lo que necesitas te han sido arriba en la terraza viendo el interés. Sin duda recomiendo que fue una noche increíble.

El servicio y los camareros eran todos muy buenos, sin embargo la comida la experiencia.

A pesar de aguas ligeramente revuelto tuvimos una velada encantadora.

You board the boat at Westminster pier. The starters are on the table so on a warm day this may not be quite to your liking. However for us the starter was great and the rolls and butter fresh and delicious. This was followed by an excellent Tomato and Pepper soup. The main was chicken which I thought was very good considering it’s on a boat in London (it’s not Paris), was hot and the accompanying side were well cooked and tasty. The dessert looked very nice but I didn’t try it.

on arrival your starter is already on your table we arrived 5 minutes before the boat departed so our prawn and salmon starter was warm, not very nice the food went downhill from there, the chicken was dry, they say you get a bottle of wine between two but you have to pay extra if you don't want the house wine which was disgusting, the tables are laid out like a school canteen, the lady who was singing was really nice but didn't have the best voice, the staff working were also really friendly which is why i gave and average and not a poor rating. the only saving grace was that we had had a drink before getting on so we were very merry otherwise i think i may have jumped overboard!

Entradas de compró el sitio web buyagift, pareció bastante difícil reservar ya que pagamos en una noche de viernes para el billete y buyagift están cerradas durante el fin de semana, así que cogimos hasta el lunes para cruceros de la ciudad para procesar nuestra reserva. Bien vale un par de llamadas como el crucero era fabuloso. Copa de champán a la llegada entrega del amable personal que nos acompañaron a nuestra mesa de asiento en la ventana. La comida era excelente, así como la señorita cantante que entretenido para la mayoría de las 3 horas de crucero, ella puso todos los involucrados y se aseguró de que todos lo pasamos de maravilla a bordo! Recomiendo encarecidamente este crucero.

Avevo alte aspettative per questa crociera sul Tamigi con cena che purtroppo non sono state pienamente soddisfatte. L'accoglienza con prosecco di benvenuto è stata molto gradevole, poco gradevole è invece stata l'invadenza di una cameriere che si è stupito che non volessimo ordinare una diversa tipologia di vino. Nel prezzo è infatti compresa mezza bottiglia di vino della casa a testa e noi avevamo intenzione di prendere quella, considerando anche che l'acqua va pagata come extra e il costo del biglietto non è così irrisorio (95 sterline per il tavolo con vista fiume). La cena non è stata così superlativa e l'unica cosa che è valsa davvero la pena è stata la vista notturna della città dal Tamigi e la cantante davvero brava che ha allietato la serata. Non è un'esperienza che consiglierei.

Booked for 4 for my moms 60th birthday and I have to say for the price you pay , this is a very average cruise . The lady who was singing was borderline wailing - did not enjoy it at all . It was like karaoke. The only thing that redeems the cruise is the beautiful views in summer otherwise the 4 course meal was also average and the chicken a little dry . Service was nothing special . I really wish I had chosen something else for this special occasion .

The meal and dancing under the London Bridge was great. Only thing after the DJ went on break for 30 minutes, and the meal was over, people starting falling asleep. They woke up after she returned playing music again.

Decidimos recorrer el tamesis con una de las opciones nocturnas con cena y show incluido. Fue impecable absolutamente todo. Pasamos una velada perfecta, con una cena muy rica y muy bien servida, un show con una cantante muy bien predispuesta. Ademas el personal muy atento y muy ameno siempre. El recorrido y las vistas del big ben y London Eyes inmejorables e imperdibles, y el cierre con show y baile exisitos. Gracias

Booked this through a voucher code site. As previous reviews, food, ambiance, entertainment and drinks prices, could not fault. Will definitely book again next time we are in London. Fantastic.

We got this Showboat river cruise and 4 course meal as a Christmas gift from our kides. What we got was exactly as described on the voucher, with sparkling wine on arrival. escorted to our table, four courses, half a bottle of wine each plus tea or coffee. #food was very good, and the hot courses were hot! Also given a couple of rolls with course 1 & 2. The wine was fine, and they came round offering 2 Bellini cocktails for £10 instead of £8.50 each. they also offered spirits, of which i took a Cognac with a very healthy measure. The female singer was very good, and choice of music for the evening and disco to everyone's taste. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, and stood at the exit with a tray for any tips on out departure. They were worth tipping! We really enjoyed ourselves, and had ample opportunity to take plenty of photos of landmarks from inside as well as on deck. Would highly recommend for a great evening.

This was a present booked by our son on 'buy a gift'. Not sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised.Friendly staff, yes ok food was very average, but it was ok and pleasant to eat although no choices.The singer/entertainer was fine and tried to get everyone involved and scenery as you go down the river Thames was great.A very pleasant night, hot food, a few drinks(half bottle of wine per person included and prices for more very reasonable) nice scenery and some entertainment- what else do you need.Looking on buy a gift they were offering these cruises at 2 for 1 prices so well worth a visit.

Generally the audience for this was somewhat older than me and my partner (early 30s). The food was fair but not special. There was no choice unless you are vegetarian, but I did like all the courses (smoked salmon mousse, tomato soup, chicken supreme, and chocolate tart). It was great to see the Thames at night and the boat was full and had a nice atmosphere. The singer was very good but she didn't actually do very long which was a shame. There was some dancing at the end which was fun. It was a bit of a shame, they didn't make more of the actual show.

This was the third time we had been on the City Cruises evening dinner cruise. We used to take our children when we had a weekend break in London and we all used to love going. We booked this time as a treat in March for our grown up daughter and her partner who now live in London. What on earth has happened to this company? The boats have been reorganised so if you have more than two people in your party you can only sit at a table in the middle of the boat. The menu has been exactly the same every time we have been on this trip. Food us usually ok but when our waiter brought our soup course he told us we could only have one bowl to share between us. He didn't speak very good English so we sent him to check and he then brought four bowls. During the evening one waiter dropped a glass and cup on the floor. He walked away from the broken items and carried on with his job completely ignoring the danger. It was only cleaned up when another waiter noticed it. The entertainment was awful and all seemed a bit desperate. The singer wasn't very good and the sound system kept on breaking up. When she wasn't singing she kept playing the same songs from her laptop. The toilets were dirty and weren't checked by staff throughout the evening. The trip was meant to finish at 11pm but staff were hurrying people to settle their drinks bill by 10pm and said we had to go up to the bar to order our drinks from then on. This was an expensive night out and cost around £500 by the time we had paid for drinks and just wasn't worth it. Such a shame as it used to be such a great night out.

This was a gift for mum and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I was amazed how a daytime cruise boat could be turned into a lovely dining room with 5 star service from the minute we were handed a glass of prosecco as we stepped on through the 4 course meal, which was delicious, and coffee. Staff and service were very professional and friendly. The singer was very good and entertaining, got people up dancing. It was great to see the amazing views of London by night from the top deck, we were very lucky with the weather! A fantastic evening which i would do again!

Wasn't sure what to expect after going on a disastrous Christmas party cruise years ago, But got to say we were pleasantly surprised how good a time we had on the jazz cruise, food was good and music was pleasant, would go again

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The boat was nice the staff were really great and very friendly. The singing was more for an older generation but it was still enjoyable. The singing was of a good quality but a little cheesy but this cruise does cater for tourists so it probably caters perfectly to that market. The food was actually very tasty and acceptable for a meal served on a boat. It was lovely going up and down the river seeing all the sights of London. It was beautiful. Many guests didn't even get up from their table to go up on to top deck. Please if you go on this cruise do take the time to go upstairs to see the views! Well done city cruises and staff. Excellent customer service delivered.

We had a company meeting with 32 delegates. The food was good as was the overall service.The singer was very cheesy which my European colleagues liked but was not suited to indigenous Brits.Overall good value.

we were part of a group celebrating our friend Danny's birthday and a belated xmas night out (long story ).Being a Wednesday evening we expected a pleasant dinner cruise ..... what a surprise ! on boarding we were greeted by a very jovial team of waiters offering us a glass of bubbly .They continued the excellent service throughout the night.Dinner is a four course above average meal with half a bottle of wine included too.But for us the night was made by the singer people were captivated by her truly amazing voice and how she managed to get us all in a party mood.Then during the act we learned Jackie was in fact from the original production of les mis..... what a treat as my wife is mad about that show.we will be returning in the summer when it is a bit warmer up on deck .

Having looked around for something different for a Monday night anniversary, I found that I was limited in choice. From the options that were available I thought that a river cruise with dinner would be something good to try. I was apprehensive about booking due to the mixed reviews and fussiness of my partner. As it turned out, this was an excellent choice to go with. We were made welcome onto the boat straight away with a glass of prosecco and shown to our seats (Paid a bit extra to sit by the window which was a good choice). The meal which we were given was good (Given the limited kitchen facilities on-board), but what really made the evening SPECTACULAR was the entertainment provided by our hostess (Jonie). She really is an outstanding performer and does her utmost to ensure that everyone is having a good time without being too intrusive. By the end of the evening, she had us on our feet dancing while going under Tower Bridge. What could be more romantic.With spectacular photo opportunities of London by night from the upper deck, this is defiantly well worth doing once while in London (Although Jonie only does 1-2 nights a week).

Neat 3 hour trip on the Thames which brought us further down stream on the Thames than we would have expected !Food was fine for such a trip, warm and served correctly.Amusement was on a nice level, just enough.We are very positive due to the fact that we had a window table, if we would have been seated in the middle of the boat, for sure our judgement would have been much different !

Would highly recommend the london showboat cruise. A relaxing dinner cruise up the Thames. On arrival guests are welcomed with a glass of prosecco. Delicious four course meal with great entertainment. Half a bottle of wine per guest included in the price. Guests can listen to a singer as they enjoy their meal and there is the opportunity to get up and dance later on. Do try the strawberry belinis. Simply amazing. Window seat tickets are a bit extra but well worth the view. Views of tower bridge at night are amazing. Cruise lasts from 7.30pm until 11pm. Good mixture of age groups and dress was smart but casual. Would definitely do this again.

I bought this experience as a christmas present for my wife via experiencedays.co.uk. It was sold as an experience "for two" and I thought it'd be a lovely romantic evening for us which we rarely get being parents of a 1yo.Upon boarding the boat we were shown to a table for four which was shortly joined by two random strangers. We clearly weren't the only ones who were annoyed by this as we saw several couples complaining and asking to be moved but the boat was full so it wasn't possible.Had this been communicated to us upfront then I would have booked something else.To be fair to City Cruises, their website does mention this but experiencedays.co.uk doesn't and they didn't mention it when I made the booking over the phone either.The food was ok and the singer was good but it definitely wasn't worth the money. If you're considering this as anything other than a party of 4 then I'd suggest just going to a nice restaurant instead.

After reading mixed reviews wasn't sure what to expect especially as a young couple. My birthday treat and was great fun but I have to say that if the instructions are from dock 2 and and it is really dock B then this confusion could easily be avoided!1st time I have done anything like this and was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and service.The singer was good with a good selection of popular songs.As it was November and evening we saw lots of the London lights which was super.On the minus side it was a bit snug and the aisles were too narrow for when you wanted to spend a penny. Also the window glass did steam up!For the price I would expect more elbow room!We had booked a window seat which meant we were on our own and not sharing a table.Peasant evening but will not be for everyone

Had a lovely evening on the show boat . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was great apart from the dessert which was covered in some bitter dark chocolate sauce. Main course I really loved creamy mash with chicken breast with mushroom sauce I could of ate another!!! Singer was average but was just a lovely time of year for the cruise as was dark and all the bridges were lit up

We have been on the London Showboat several times now, usually with a voucher which makes it even better value. Although it's mass catering it comes up really appealing and is always good quality. There isn't really a choice and I think we must have had the same menu every time! A glass of fizz on arrival, smiling crew to welcome us aboard. half a bottle of wine per person. 1st course is a salmon mousse with a decoration of three prawns and a small salad. Wine choice is red, white or rose and there is a wine list if you want something special. 2nd course is tomato and basil soup which was thick and tasty. A singer (Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman) entertains with songs from West End shows. The boat stops off down river, I think to take on the main courses which have always been chicken in a sauce served with vegetables. I suppose they don't have cooking facilities on board, but once collected everybody was quickly served. A very acceptable desert followed by coffee. The singer gave us a bit of free time during part of the meal, and guests could go up on the upper deck to see the sights if they wished. Waiters are on hand in case you want something from the drinks menu. After the meal there is more singing and there is a dance floor at the front inside. Altogether a very pleasant evening and a nice way to see the sights slip by at night. Ends about 10.45.

When we arrived on board the staff were amazing, really happy and welcoming and we were offered a glass of fizz which was lovely. However- to our disappointment we were not allowed to chose where we wanted to sit- the seats were pre chosen. I do completely understand this as I believe it would make it easier for guests with dietary requirements etc.....but when we were taken to our table, I was shocked to see it was a table for 4 that we had to share with another couple. If I'm honest this completely ruined our experience. We almost felt rude not talking to the couple that were sat EXTREMELY close to us, and it was impossible to have a conversation with my husband without our table shares having to listen too. It seems to me that as a company they are more interested in craming as many people on as possible to get more money, rather than giving people a little more space and enjoying their experience a whole lot more.Have the seats been more spaced out, it would have been a completely different experience for us.It was a shame as the food was amazing and so was the entertainment etc, but to be that close to another couple and not be able to have a conversation with my own husband while having a meal was very disappointing and I will not be recommending this to anybody.

This trip was worth every penny - the staff/crew genuinely made you feel welcome - nothing too much trouble and very smart and efficient. The boat itself was spotless.The food was delicious and was served at the correct temperature ( something i thought may not actually be - on a boat ! )The entertainment was really good ( lovely female singer ) and after the meal - the lights dimmed - the staging lit up and the dancing began.. did'nt want it to end.. oh and nearly forgot - the views of London at night is a delight . well done everyone 21/10/16 @ 7-30

Each year we have a girls weekend and we thaught we would try something diferent.we had a great evening the service was so well organised and very good quality food.The entertainment and dancing while all the sights pass by the window were just such fun,we had a realy good trip and have recemended it to many friends.

We took this cruise along the Thames at Night, the food was superb as was the views as London went from Daylight to night time, the staff were exceptional, the service could not be faulted, the singer was perfect & included the guest into her performance.

Another London Showboat experience for my friend and I. This is our fourth year we have done this entertaining evening and they just get better and better. Pick up at Westminster Pier, greeted with a glass of champagne followed by a four course dinner while being entertained by a very talented lady singer while cruising down the Thames passing all the highlights of London as far as the Thames barrier. This is a must for any trip to London and once again I highly recommend it.

What a fantastic evening. The boat arrives bang on 7.30 for its 7.45 departure. The starter is waiting already. It was prawns and samon. Next up was tomato and basil soup. Then chicken then a lovely dessert. I booked a window seat to take in the views. This is well worth the slight bit of extra money. The singer was good and got everyone involved and soon got every one dancing. Big respect to City Cruses too for sorting out the trouble on board so promptly. My wife and I were totally oblivious to it. We only knew something was going on when the police boat arrived and we had to quickly stop at the nearest barge to get the fighting family off. It only took 5 minutes in total and once they were off the staff were given a big round of applause. As an apology all guests were given unlimited wine for the rest of the evening. This was a great touch and really helped to get me on the dance floor quicker The food is good, the entertainment is good and the views are good!

I brought my partner here for her final birthday surprise. I bought it from wowcher but I wasn't sure what to expect so I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and we had this lovely server (I don't remember her name!) who was incredibly friendly and wanted to ensure our experience was the best it could be. Jackie Marks, the entertainment for the evening really got the atmosphere going and people of their feet. The food was beautiful and we upgraded to a better wine for only a couple of pounds. We would definitely do it again.

Having done the same tour with Bateaux London a couple of years ago one couldn't help but compare. Check in was chaotic with no clear directions to the boat. Once we found the right queue the staff were lovely and friendly. The boat was modern and clean. Advertised as a showboat trip with show tunes these were few and far between in the singers set (although she was very good). Meal was good but not fine dining. Wine was interesting. Advertised on the website as half a bottle each guest you got one half bottle between 2 and had to ask for the second (and quote the website). However once request debit was brought without fuss. The trip turns just west of Westminster Bridge so you don't see much of west London make up for that in the other direction, going as far as the Thames barrier. Good photo opportunities of tower bridge and Canary Wharf and the O2. Really nice on a bright summer night but not sure how much fun this would be in the dark or a typical rainy London evening! The singer did a great job of getting people up and dancing and all on all it was a lovely evening, just a shame the fact we had to ask for the wine we had paid for made us feel a bit conned.

We did this party cruise for my birthday last week. Not cheap at almost £70 per person but the food was lovely and it did include a glass of fizz on arrival and a half bottle of decent wine. Neither of us eat fish and the starter was a salmon mousse which we couldn't eat so do tell them in advance. To be honest I couldn't find anywhere on booking about dietary requirements other than a vegetarian option. The atmosphere on the boat was great and the singer was entertaining. The staff serving the food were great and the quality of the food was excellent.Great views and photo opportunities at Tower bridge. A lovely relaxing way to spend an evening for a special occasion whilst taking in the scenery.

We met at the Red Lion pub, round the corner from Westminster Pier, nice pub and only 5 minutes walk from the pier. The pier queuing was quick and painless, we were greeted at the boat door by the helpful staff, tickets checked, given a glass off sparkling wine and shown to our tables. Note; window seats are for 2 people only, as a group 4 we sat in the next row but not a problem as the boat is very light. The 4 course meal was of good quality, far better than I has expected on a boat and the wine fully acceptable. The staff were all brilliant and very politeThe only downside was the ‘showboats’ entertainment which was poor. On our night we had a middle age singer who was a better suited to Butlins, could no longer hit the high notes and wanted to be the centre of attraction. He murdered many of the numbers which was a disappointment as we had looked forward to this as part of the package.I suppose one just has to take a risk on who is the singer, next time I hope we have better luck because I will go again as I thought this well priced (via Discount London @ £65 per couple), a different type of evening with great view to remind us all how beautiful London can be.

4 of us boarded age from 32 to 62 we all enjoyed it. Easy boarding -A glass of Presecco handed to you as you were shown the table, staff genuine friendly. Table looked nice. Very good food much better than I expected. Half a bottle of wine pp and of a good quality. The singer was very good and got us all going! The amazing London sights all the way. Very good value , great staff only downer was the weather⛴, but that's life.

Went here with my niece.. The smoked salmon starter and soup were very tasty.. Chicken was a bit dry.. And the white and milk chocolate sweet was very nice as well. The singer sang a mixture of show tunes and popular tunes and finished off with a disco.. A very good three hour night sailing with fab views of the Thames

A fantastic evening, glass of fizz on arrival, half bottle wine each, excellent food and wonderful service. Entertained by a singer with "Frank Sinatra" type songs to start then music to dance to later on. Overall an "Excellent night out" well worth the money.

We were upgraded to a window seat. Had some fabulous views of London both at Sunset and in the dark. Food was great and the service outstanding. Thank you so much City Cruises for making our anniversary so special. An evening we will always remember.

A very enjoyable experience and loved every moment off it. Booked for our 8 year wedding anniversary and we both loved the food,entertainment and the staff were great aswell.

Could not find anything negative to say. Great night singer good staff fantastic and very attentive, fodder was also okay. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to book a lunchtime cruise.

The show boat dinner cruise lived up to its name ... in completing a fantastic week in Amsterdam & London. The food was great ... entertainment was lively ...the company was perfect. A perfect way to wrap up a week of business and sightseeing.

Thrilled to be given tickets for my birthday to this great show, had fantastic seats right near the stage. Loved everything, the music, the story line. This is a very old musical brought up to date and an absolute pleasure to go and see, can recommend.

I arrived in London for a few days and a friend recommend me a ride on the Thames. Thus we arrived in Westminster Pier boarding station where I asked for a ticket for a journey. I woke up I received a subscription for one day with about 20 pounds. I said ok, today I will travel more water. Just what I thought happened did not and because there are only three boarding stations that get very hard both by bus and subway.We boarded the boat from Westminster Pier to the London Eye and found the offense that the boat was very old, the chairs were very cramped, windows were bleached limestone and made available over the radiators worked than half. Unable to make a beautiful picture on the boat said.I complained immediately to descend to get half the money back to the subscription and offer him my ticket back. Manager at respective stand behaved extraordinarily ugly telling me I was lying, it was not true that boats are luxurious, I am the first person to advertise on them that they are perfect and to do what I want anyway I am not English and go to all tourists back in our country.I called from the City Cruise to complain about my situation and I was told to expect will call back. They called in a while and they told me they did not what to do but to extend my ticket because they do not give money back. I accepted the idea that those free tickets to give to others, anyone can enjoy them. But still I regret that I have not broken before manager both tickets that ultimately we have not offered to anyone, but I do not've traveled with them.A true manager refuses to say there are no problems when a customer complaints and investigating something but then returns a reply. It is the lack of professionalism on his part and show it is not worth the job.The icing on the cake was that the the brochure schedule the last vessel ships occur at 19:00 and at 18: 50-19: 10 there was no ship station. 18:30 The last was said an employee of the station. My question related to the program told me to ask the company you have a ticket. (Attached are pictures of the time we reached [it is 2 hours in front of in my country])I recommend using other options you have available and look forward to the program and stations ascent and descent.

I booked the showboat as a surprise for my partner. The food was very nice, we were given 4 courses and all of the food was tasty. The singer was a bit cheesy but after a while he had us engaged in the whole experience and up dancing. What a great way to see the sights on the London Thames.

The warm and friendly welcome and nicely chilled champagne set the tone. The 4 course meal was high restaurant standard. The show songs by Jodie, the extremely talented professional created a fabulous atmosphere. Jodie also, between numbers, pointed out the landmarks. After years of visiting London this was our first experience from the river and by night And London looked spectacularHighly recomend but dont be late or you will definately miss the boat. There was a table set for 4 next us that this had obviously happened to.

We had this event as a gift and were very pleasantly surprised as being London born and bred I wasnt sure how interesting it would be. It is a well run operation with a fine and well equipped vessel. Really nice and plentiful food and wine, friendly efficient staff and some nice middle of the road entertainment. Best bit was on the way back when the boat stopped about 600 meters from Tower Bridge and we saw how really impressive a night view of London can be. Recommended.

We absolutely had a fantastic night great atmosphere, delicious and generous portions of food good sparkling wine and entertainment staff are fantastic such a stylish way to see the views of London lit up at night it's beautiful (only thing I would say is toilet paper wasn't being replenished)

Arranged the showboat dinner cruisers "something different " to celebrate our belated birthdays .Cost included sparkling wine , 4 course dinner , coffee and half bottle of wine . Entertainment and disco plus of course , great views of London .All enjoyed it and the food was surprisingly good , wine was house but you could pay the extra to have wine of your choice .So wound recommend it especially if you can get a discounted ticket , should be around £80 but if you search you should be able to find one .Ps don't be late as the boat will go without you

A very enjoyable experience only let down by undercooked veg, a matter of taste. Will return for another trip in the summer.Staff Excellent.

Bought through buy a gift. Champagne on arrival & 3 course meal with a complimentary bottle of wine. Great to see the river at night. Dancing to singer who sang songs from the shows. We were supposed to go as far as the Thames Barrier but turned back at the O2 Arena with no explanation

Had a great time on this cruise, with amazing views along the Thames. The food was good and drinks not too expensive. Waiters are very friendly (like to push the little extras!) and although the singer was a little cheesy, it still added to the night. The only disappointing thing was it seemed to be cut a bit short as we didn't go as far as the Thames barrier and were back in dock before half ten, when it should've been after 11.

We booked this for Thursday before Valentine weekend. We didn't expect much with it being an showboat cruise but I was really amazed at the quality of food, wasn't keen on salmon but rest was really good. The few frees on board which help! The male singer on board was really good and made everyone feel at ease and got the crowd involved. I would recommended this experience and it was bargain for £86 we paid for two in the sale on buymegift. I would go back to this cruise in near future for big party events as they looked after everyone!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food about what one would expect from this type of experience. I think if you want fine dining, a restaurant would be a better choice but we weren't really there for the food. It was pleasant, the atmosphere was good and the singer got it just about right. Certainly met all my expectations and as I had a two for one voucher from my rail company, it offered good value for money as well. I've never expected house wine to be of excellent quality so paid an extra fiver for a wine upgrade and that was well worth it. Nice way to see London at night.
