I love gimbap it’s so delicious. All the stews are amazing. Every time we back it’s quality meal.

unexpectedly good! the kimchi jeon is perfect, crispy on the outside and warm, soft in the inside, theres a lot of kimchi inside too. sundubu jjigae is tad bit spicier than other korean restaurants that i have tried, LOVED that extra kick. the setting was very homey. we walked in going down the stairs without much thinking and one of the cook came down to explain that they don't have enough staffs to run all floors during that time which is fine. what i appreciate is that when he moved us upstairs, he told the waitress that we want to sit somewhere silent (cuz we went straight to the subbasement). everyone were smiling and being very attentive. will def come back!!!

Tasty authentic Korean food. I had seafood Japchae and kimchi pancake with plum tea. Japchae not greasy, light and lots of fresh mussels and king prawns. So yummy! The kimchi pancakes are so light, almost flaky crunchy, with a lovely sesame soya dip. Plum tea was good. Had a good chat with the sushi chef or owner as I sat at the counter. Beautiful food! Can’t wait to go back.

Because he couldn't eat properly because of the punishment, I politely asked him to remove the service charge, but he continued to protest as if he didn't understand and cursed loudly at a co-worker next to him as if he wanted us to hear him...,, I went in because I wanted to eat Korean food for the first time in a while, but when I left, I felt bad. Best Korean in Greenwich, possibly even south east London. Lots of space upstairs, but recommend booking prior to visiting. Very friendly staff. Recommend the Soju and Dolsot Bibimbap.

I live just behind Naru and visit Naru frequently since they opened last year. However, the most recent meal I had when I brought 9 friends to visit the place last weekend was very disappointing. They were clearly unable to manage with the number of customers during lunch: 1) service was appalling - they served half the table and then proceeded to serve other customers. Some of my friends waited almost an hour for our food, the tteokbokki which is meant to be an appetiser came only at the very end. Had to follow up with the manager and explained the situation to them but even then, they looked confused and couldn’t tell which order has and has not been served. The worst is that some of us ordered the same dish but only a few of us were served the food; 2) we had a few wrong orders. We asked if the waiter should repeat our order and he said he didn’t need to; and 3) food was below par compared to the usual times we visit on weekdays.

Prehaps the greatest Korean Food available in the UK. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a large meal with 11 people. Our large order was dealt with professionally.

this restaurant was recommended by Vittles for places to eat near greenwich and they aren’t wrong! the food is very tasty and reasonably priced for the city. the assorted namul was very nice, and both of the stews were delicious. one thing is that the bulgolgi was made of tiny pieces of beef that were a little tough, but the marinade was great. i’ll be back next time i’m in greenwich!

Arrived at restaurant, without a booking and the staff were very accommodating, the food was delicious, the beef bulgogi and Korean fried chicken are definitely worth recommending. Will have to come again.

A great Korean with lots of character. If you plan ahead you can reserve a seat at the counter where you can watch the chef prepare your food or at a floor table with mats. We tried the pork bibimbap, seafood pancake and tuna gimbap. All dishes were very tasty, my only minor complaint is I assumed the tuna in the gimbap would be fresh and it wasn’t (more like tinned tuna). But still a lovely meal overall!

We wanted to go forever and always found it closed, until one day that we finally managed to get there, and we go about once a week whenever possible. The place is very cute and very clean. The staff are lovely and very attentive and of course, the food, OH MY, OH MY the food is fantastic. Some of our must-haves are the Spicy Pork Gimbap, the Kimchi Pancake and the Korean Fried Chicken with the chili sauce. Today I tried the stone bowl Bibimbap and it was also beautiful, the bottom rice burnt at the perfect point, like paella’s socarrat. Honestly, don’t miss the chance to visit this restaurant if possible, you won’t regret it.

I've visited this restaurant twice recently, and it has some great Korean food! I highly recommend ❤️Bibimbap ❤️Gimbap, spicy pork flavour ❤️Dak bokkum These dishes were full of flavor and definitely worth trying. However, the Kimchijeon wasn’t as crispy as I would have liked, and the Haemultang was a bit too fishy for my taste. I’m looking forward to trying the Gomtang on my next visit—it was sold out when I was there, so it must be popular! Overall, a solid spot for Korean cuisine.

This is a traditional small Korean eatery in Greenwich which is a nice addition to the already diverse food culture in the neighbourhood. I tried the five selection of flavored vegetables and the beef bibimbap, with the peach tea. I like my food piping hot, so as the chilli sauce, even on a warm summer afternoon. The price is higher than some Korean restaurants in the City. For a beef bibimbap priced at £14, I would expect more beef. The vegetable selection which cost £8.5 is almost the same as those in the bibimbap.

This place offers real and high quality food. Staff are also accommodating and friendly. Toilet is also clean and smells good.

I went there after receiving reviews that the food was better than Korean food, but the place was filled with people from all over the world enjoying Korean food. It was really delicious.

This place is worth a visit if you’re in this part of London. Every dish we ordered was flavoursome and made with good quality ingredients. While we waited for our mains, we were told the kitchen was about to close and then asked if we wanted our bill all before the rest of our order arrived! We would have probably ordered more food if service had been speedier and more attentive.

Best Korean food I’ve had in London! Each dish we tried was absolutely amazing, bursting with authentic flavours. The ambiance was warm and inviting as well, and the staff super friendly and sweet!

Food tastes very authentic. I had the seafood stew with the namul set. I also wanted to try the yellowtail sashimi but unfortunately this wasn’t available at the time we went. Staff were friendly but it took a long time for food to be served. We were waiting for at least 40 minutes from when we ordered. It was also difficult to get the attention of staff to pay the bill as we were upstairs and staff were coming and going.

Great authentic food and friendly service, decor could do with improvement

It looks like a small restaurant, but it actually has two floors. There are many seats upstairs and the environment is comfortable. I ordered stir-fried mixed vegetables, seafood pancakes, kimbap, fried chicken and bibimbap. The food was exquisite and delicious. Highly recommended!

food was insanely bland. genuinely the worst and most inauthentic “korean” food i’ve ever had. the few flavours there just tasted wrong. the “seafood” pancake was mostly just diced bell pepper & batter. the tteokbokki tasted like it had been stewed in unseasoned blend of tomato, red pepper and onion; simply spicy and bland. also very very cramped and noisy. drinks were nice but they were bottled sooo

The staff were friendly and informative. It does not look like much seating on the ground floor, but there is seating on the upper floors, It was not hard to find gluten-free options. The food was tasty but a bit too salty to my taste.

Ordered sushi set, porridge, rice balls, stone pot rice, beef soup and white rice. It's hot enough and tastes good, not too salty like other restaurants. good service.

The owner is Korean! They said they use only natural seasonings and no chemical seasonings at all, and the taste is truly excellent. It’s better than most restaurants in Korea!! I had the Dolsot bibimbap, and although I wish the bowl had been a little hotter, I was really surprised to find such a great Korean restaurant in the UK. This is a place I want to visit again next time.

Great korean place, good food, big portions, good service and great atmosphere. Menu felt very authentic. The chicken was amazing, as was the Yukhoe (raw beef) 2nd visit, had amazing sashimi.

An experience to absolutely do, the best sushi of my life, the bimbimbap are also exceptional, I recommend if you are passing through Greenwich!

I've been to several Korean restaurants, but the soybean paste stew was the most delicious, and the owner and staff were all friendly.

Visited today for the first time. All the food was delicious. The sushi, dumplings and pancakes were amazingly fresh and tasty. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

This is an authentic korean food hidden gem for me. Especially in London, the Korean food are quite commercialized with the K-wave but the few food that I tried during this visit were incredible. Pajeons (pancakes) both kimchee and seafood were fluffy, crispy on the outside and not at all soggy. Kimbap was also amazing. I like this version of kimbap as it doesn't have too much rice and enough ingredients inside. I also had bibimbap, a lot of food but worth the calories. I would love to return and try the rest of the menu.

A lovely local spot that serves a good variety of Korean dishes. There's quite a few I haven't had before, so I already know I'll be coming back for them! For now I can say the gimbap is delicious and the sashimi is so fresh - and the Miyeokguk is a great & nourishing option to start the meal. All good size portions too. The seats upstairs feel cosy and calm (I'd love to try the cushions next time!), the staff is nice and the service is quick!

We ordered fried dumplings and Korean chilli chicken bites/strips and bimibap for main and every bite was delicious, really nice set up.

Taste wise the food was amazing. The things that can be improved on is the portion size, there was only 2 small cuts of fish in my stew and in terms of service there was this one waitress who seems not knowledgable about the menu.

The price is reasonable and the appearance is not eye-catching. It is mainly eaten by locals, so it is easy to miss. The layout on the second floor is quite simple and comfortable. The restaurant has two floors, but the dining space on the second floor is not large, so it is best to arrive before or after your meal. We ordered raw beef with lettuce, stewed tofu, and oxtail soup. The portion was sufficient, but the bibimbap was not hot enough (if you want the bibimbap to be hotter, you may have to tell the service staff in advance) 20240331E.

Nice Korean restaurant near Cutty Sark that comes with reasonable price. It’s very likely to be missed and you probably won’t notice there is a restaurant here. But once you go in, it’s a cute place and feels cosy. It has two floors but not big room so better to arrive before or after lunch time. I ordered tofu stew (as always) and it comes good portion and with much more varieties of ingredients than other places I’ve been to. However, it is too salty / strong flavour that makes me drink lots of water after. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I eat at a lot of Korean restaurants in London and I was pleasantly very impressed with Naru. A real hidden gem in Greenwich - authentic Korean food prepared by authentic Korean chefs. The kimchi jjigae was as good as I've had, even in Seoul, and the hemeul pajeon was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend visiting this unassuming but excellent Korean restaurant. 감사합니다!

There are few places in Greenwich that have exceptional food and service. However, Naru is a indeed a little gem! We have dined a few times with our children and they love it. The staff are always attentive and kind. It is a firm local favourite and serves beautiful authentic Korean food. We dine here regularly and last visited for our daughter's birthday. They made such a wonderful effort for her and decorated the room with balloons etc. They even bought her a little gift! Never has a restaurant done anything like that for us and our daughter was so overjoyed. Things like this are priceless and it just makes you want to keep supporting small local businesses. Thank you to the team at Naru for your dedication to provide fantastic food and exceptional service!

It was a pleasant experience, very chill like a cafe and had a relaxing feel The menu can be extensive but has many items from stews, to rice dishes, glass noodles and sushi Food arrived 15mins after ordering although it wasn't that busy as seen in the photos, dishes ranged from prices of £10-18 Will recommend as the food came out piping hot and tasted great, staff were attentive

Recently had a family outing in this lovely place. Good points 1. We were received by lovely staff, and adhered our baby for baby seat. 2. Very nice and clean. 3. Clean toilets for baby changing aswell. 4. Special care and attention was given to our baby with high chair, baby books and toys. 5. All the staff were welcoming even the chefs. Food 1. Food was good, But the service 2. Plenty of time was given to look at menu. 3. Food arrived okay. 4. Food were good, a bit slighty warmer would be better. Constructive points. 1. Wheel chair might not be accessible. 2. Although the place is cozy amd small , which can be a good and drawback as well. 3. It got busy quickly, might be lunch hour. Summary, Cozy nice place, for food and atmoshpere.

Simply delicious food and nice staff

The food is always exceptional, fresh and light! HIGHLY recommend the sushi set and raw beef dish. Unfortunately we did have a new waitress who wasn’t able to answer questions or give recommendations. The peach juice is gorgeous!

This was an absolutely amazing place. Found it online as we were in the area and wanted korean food. After 3 rounds of musical tables, my 7 year old really wanted to sit at the floor table, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. We over ordered, loved the tteokbokki and tangsuyuk, and for my taste, I felt the jjajangmyeon didn't have the rich black bean flavour I wanted. My daughter loved it though. We will definitely go back again and again! Edit: 22/02/24 we did go back! My daughter wanted her birthday here and it was wonderful again. We booked the big table with ease and asked if we could bring a cake and they were only too happy to oblige. When we arrived, they had decorated as a surprise and also gave her a card. Absolutely amazing service and fabulous food. Thank you so much 👏

Fantastic food, perfect service and delicious dishes. Highly recommend. Will be coming back for sure. We came for Valentine’s Day and sat in traditional Korean seating at ground level (regular seating also offered). Staff were friendly and happy to explain the various dishes and best sellers. We had the salmon sushi set, Korean fried chicken and beef bibimbop. Excellent throughout. We stayed for dessert and had the sesame icecream and mochi icecream.

Nice place when craving for some Korean flavours. Friend chicken is crispy and not too greasy, the sauces are really tasty. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Will be back for sure to try other items in the menu

Everything about our visit was exceptional! We went for dinner on Valentine's Day, and even though we hadn't made a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. We ordered fish broth and a monkfish dish that my wife really likes. Both dishes were delicious! We would have liked them to be a little spicier, but perhaps they are that way to adapt to a more British taste. To say that the people who served us were very friendly is an understatement.

Love this place! Food is amazing and service is great! It doesn’t look like a child friendly place looking in from outside, but I was pleasantly surprised how kids friendly this place was! They have high chair, baby toys and books and baby changing table. We were able to leave our buggy downstairs.

I had the best birthday with my friends at London Naru. Birthday celebration signs were set up in advance, which was so kind and without my knowledge; extremely thoughtful from the staff. The service was incredible and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. I am gluten free and the owner of the resultant came to me and explained the allergens of the menu. I will be back here again - thank you for my lovely birthday meal!

Food was excellent, definitely the best Korean food I've had in London and I've tried quite a few of the big names! Food was perfectly seasoned, generous portion sizes and came out quite quickly too. It's a little off the tourist path but means it wasn't overcrowded. I think this may be one of my favourite restaurants in London and would happily come back 😊

Naru is the best restaurant in Greenwich! If you are looking for super fresh and very tasty food you must try their cuisine❤️. The tempura is absolutely amazing. Staff is very kind and so easy going they make you feel like home. Calm atmosphere, not loud and very clean!

I'm not local to the area but I'll be sure to stop by whenever I'm near Greenwich! Amazing food and impeccable service. Had the Spicy Monk Fish Stew and it was the perfect heat for me.

Amazing crew and amazing food everything from the sashimi to the bim bom bap was perfect made freshly right in front of me and my father (who is also a sushi chef and is usually very fussy), the staff were welcome and chefs were busy cooking but still made time to chat and say hello. The aesthetic and vibe of the place was calm and vibrant with beautiful paintings all around and I should stop using the word beautiful but that is one of the only ways to describe it. I would definitely come here again and the only thing I would change is that it would be funny if they had bidets.

Great food Great experience and worth a visit

For those that have been to Korea or those that know Korean food, this is a place for good food at a good price. Just needs some plum wine and soju on the menu :)

As the winter days grow darker and colder, this restaurant - the best restaurant in Greenwich and Lewisham - never fails to brighten my spirits and warm my belly. Every dish is authentic and delicious, fairly priced and beautifully presented. The sushi is of the highest quality. The freshly prepared soups and the homemade Korean kimchi are revelations. The family who run London Naru clearly do so as a labour of love. They deserve our support.

I recently dined at charming Naru restaurant that may be small in size but exudes a warm, familial atmosphere. The culinary experience was delightful – generous portions of delicious food left me thoroughly satisfied. The staff's helpfulness and excellent recommendations added a personal touch to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

First time at this place, I was very impressed with the food and the service, all for a very reasonable price.

We had a lovely meal at Naru and were well looked after, quick response to booking and warmly greeted on arrival. Brilliant idea having the space to eat in the traditional way on cushions at the low table. The food is excellent, fresh, quality ingredients and well presented. The menu is authentic and plenty of choice, perhaps could be refined further for simplicity. This place is a new neighbourhood restaurant and I encourage locals to support it. I really hope it remains authentic and accentuates the Korean experience, which differentiates it from other restaurants in Greenwich and the wider area. Unfortunately we had such a disappointing experience at Naru. Our food was horrendously delayed for the entire meal - we both ordered a starter and a main each, and the miso soup, which was the second thing to arrive, arrived after an hour from placing our order. The staff, whilst very welcoming, didn’t really seem to know the menu - I pointed out a fried chicken dish on another table, and they advised it was the ‘chicken assortment’ dish, so we opted for that, and it was a range of breaded fried chicken with bones and sticky Korean glaze, which looked nothing like the dish I had previously pointed out. Each dish came separately, and with an inordinate and baffling amount of time in between, and wasn’t particularly brilliant food either - with exception to the seafood pancakes which were first to arrive (though still took what felt like forever) and were very good. The meals were so spread out that staff came to clear our table and offer us dessert before the final dish (a tofu broth) had arrived. Looking at previous Google reviews it seems that the sushi there is very popular, and it was also quick to come out of the kitchen too.

My son and I dropped in on Saturday and our waitress was lovely. Very attentive and hospitable. We sat in the area where you sit on the green cushions which was a wonderful experience for my 13 year old who has not eaten at a Korean restaurant before. He is normally quite fussy but loved the seafood rice bowl and my seafood noodles were fantastic. The quality of the food is beautiful and tasty. Definately will revisit.

Great lunch here, had udon noodles with bbq sauce which was very different but as tasty as the bibimbap which i had last time. There is really a variety of dishes here! Staff are friendly and the restaurant area upstairs is very comfortable, a good environment. There are not too many good options around Greenwich but Naru is a jem.
