Lola's Cupcakes in City of London, Westminster

I'm not a great cake fan at all. I am now a Red Velvet mini cupcake addict. Thanks alot, Lola. It should be illegal for cake to taste this good.

Was just walking past and decided to stop and get a lovely cupcake. They all looked so delicious and so many to choose from. Staff were friendly and we got some mini cupcakes to enjoy.

We bought some cupcakes and Millionaires shortbread for a late night naughty treat. Plenty of choices and great service.

LOLA'S CUPCAKES ARE USING INGREDIENTS IN THEIR CAKES WHICH ARE HARMFUL TO HUMAN HEALTH SUCH AS TARTRAZINE AND REFUSING TO STOP USING IT! Now, first of all I just want to say that I have been a loyal customer of Lola's for years. The cakes and customer service has been great but recently I had purchased a Peach Melba cake from the Covent Garden branch. On the way home I was googling some of the ingredients, one of which was TARTRAZINE or otherwise also known as yellow 5 and the following came up - researchers continue to work to establish a link between yellow #5 and health impacts, including behavioral disorders in children or cancer. Studies focus on the ways that tartrazine may: Be toxic to genes (genotoxicity) Be toxic to cells in the body (cytotoxicity) Cause genetic mutations (mutagenicity) Tartrazine and its effects during pregnancy are not well understood. Animal studies of prenatal exposure to artificial food colorings have found some problems, such as a decrease in motivation and anxiety in offspring of rats exposed during pregnancy. Research on tartrazine in pregnant rats also suggests evidence of DNA-related: Liver damage Kidney damage Cardiomegaly (enlarged heart size) Missing limbs and other skeletal deformities Those most sensitive to Dye Yellow #5 often also have an aspirin allergy, indicating a genetic susceptibility. This is why countries like Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway have withdrawn Tartrazine on the grounds of its anaphylactic potential When I took the cake back, the staff contacted head office and were happy to replace however after contacting Lola's both by phone and email, they have refused to stop using TARTRAZINE and have simply said that they have taken my feedback on board. I have asked to speak to management which has also been refused. Lola's boast about sustainability but quite happy to use ingredients which they know are harmful to human health and for that reason, I am no longer a customer and have written this review to raise awareness and hopefully get some kind of positive reaction from Lola's!

Title says it all. Good choice for gluten free patrons and extremely quick service. The GF cupcakes are boxed up already on display, and are kept separate (on the top shelf) to the muggle treats. Gorgeous cupcakes, very well made.

Bought from Selfridges a slice of the Red Velvet Cheesecake and a cookies and cream cupcake to try. The Red Velvet Cheesecake was very very delicious. Not too sweet and was moist. We fell in love with it immediately. Wherelse the cookies and cream cupcake was a little dry. The next day phoned the Covent Garden Br, which is very near the tube station and more convenient for us. They had a 5 inches and also 7 inches in size of this Red Velvet Cheesecake which the gentleman there kindly reserved for us to decide which size we wanted when there. His service was very good. The Red Velvet Cheesecake was the same quality as in Selfridges. We hand carried this cake back to our own country the same day. When we arrived home after more than 15 hours journey, the cake was still very moist and still tasted very good. Whole family enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended to try their Red Velvet Cheesecake

Found this shop whilst I was visiting London with my friend. I really enjoyed the cupcakes but did find the staff weren't the most friendly and did seem a bit lost when looking for the customer in front of me order. Eventually she found their order, but that did delay me being served as she had to keep going up and down a ladder.

Stopped by to get a gluten-free treat. Their tiny storefront was filled with cupcakes and a rainbow layered cake. Staff were friendly and professional. There were many flavors of cupcakes which were beautifully decorated. For the gluten-free options, there was at least four flavors of cupcakes which were already individually prepackaged in cute little boxes to avoid cross-contamination. I chose red velvet and then cookies & cream. I ate the cookies and cream one and it was delicious with plenty of icing. Saving the other one for tomorrow which I’m sure will be equally as good.

Wow, top calorie smashers from here! Small shop by Covent Garden, but the cakes are top notch! Superb.

The Unicorn Birthday Cake was amazing our daughter loved the cake well worth the price we paid 10/10 we highly recommend Lola’s

Hello, I am a mum living in Italy and I realize tonight that my daughter's boyfriend has given a night in a nice hotel in London to my daughter that tomorrow turn 25.. I have written twenty minutes ago to the Lola cupcakes shop in canary warf to help me with tomorrow's delivery of 6 cupcakes for my daughter. I what you all know that with coronavirus I did not see her in the last six months. This Christopher that replied was not helping me at all, and I explain to him my situation of distance, of last-minute delivery cause I know about this place only now from one of my daughter's friends. I think that even if the cakes are good these people are not collaborative with a mom that is too distant and I am not happy at all about this treatment. so sad.

A lovely little stall in Covent Garden, with an amazing selection of nicely decorated (and even better tasting) cupcakes! Hot and cold drinks also available, so the perfect place for a pick-me-up when walking in and around the shops

We found this place by chance and what a delight, we had the best cupcakes we have ever tasted. This place is for take away only, no seating area so grab your little cupcake if you are around covent garden!

We found Lola’s by looking for something dairy free for my niece. She got a dairy free cake to shre and I got a cupcake shake(with dairy) that was out of this world!

We discovered this location quite by accident and we were pleasantly surprised. They had a selection of tasty samples on a plate and took time to explain their different products to us. They packed the cupcakes up for us so they were still fresh and un-crushed when we got back to our hotel. Great place to stop for a snack.

I have try the red velvet cupcakes and is very good! The cream is soft and in general the cupcake is of quality. Approved!
