Lokky's in Pembrokeshire

Lokkys in Pentlepoir, Pembrokeshire, is a spot you don't want to miss. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming and also very modern. We had the "Honey Glazed Marmalade crispy chicken" to start (see Pics) which was the showstopper for sure, The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and that honey glaze with a hint of marmalade tastes amazing. Their Thai Green curry and Filipino Ginataan curry are absolute winners. The flavours are spot-on and seriously addictive. Even if you swing by in the quieter afternoon hours, the staff make you feel right at home as we experienced. We booked and I imagine in the summer you'll want to call ahead or go online to their website where you can book easily.

Lovely well thought out building with great design touches. Service was OK, but did see a member of staff carrying cutlery to a table with one hand, whilst wiping his nose with his uncovered other hand. The food was OK, but some was westernised to the point of being a sham (salmon in cream cheese for instance in the bento box as a kind of sushi) and the Thai green curry main was INCREDIBLY salty and became overwhelming, so some was left uneaten. Also a suspicion that MSG may have been present (one of us is highly sensitised following years of its use in dishes whilst living in SE Asia, and this caused issues for following 24 hours). Overall a bit disappointing as we'd held this back as a special venue for our wedding anniversary meal, and we won't be heading back there....which is a shame.

Great little gem here in South Wales. Amazing authentic Asian food, top tier presentation and service highly recommend the pork adobo!

Very tasty dinner. We had all veggie options, and they were great. Staff and service was top notch too.

The menu was quite limited and expensive. I don’t think the fusion worked well. I ordered a stir fry noodle dish but the vegetables had been boiled or steamed which didn’t work well. Excellent service though.

Food here was amazing. Only part I didn't like was the 10% service charge already added to the bill. I would have tipped as the food is amazing and the service was good. But it would have been nice to have the bill and then been asked if would like to add tip after.

Great food and service, friendly staff.

Visited to celebrate my father's birthday, and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. The sushi rolls, Prawns, short rib, bento, and Ube cheesecake were the standout dishes we would heartily recommend. The quality of the food, the price range, and presentation exceeded expectations. I did not expect to find some decent sushi rolls in pembs. The staff were lovely. All in all a fantastic evening. Thank you Lokky's for a fab night!

Fusion venue, one of the very few in the area, certainly the best known. I wasn't completely convinced by the cuisine, but it may be a matter of personal taste. Be careful with spicy foods, because they are not a joke... :) ...but they are consistent with what is indicated on the menu. The service was good, quick and very courteous. The environment is very well looked after and I thought it was clean, including the toilet despite the very busy evening. We will definitely be back.

Really shocked at some of the reviews! 😱 This place is outstanding! We had our 4th visit of the year last night for sushi and sax night (first time was NYE 2022; we don't have time to get out much or else we would be here more) the food is out of this world and the online presence this place perceives for itself doesn't even scratch the surface of how incredible this restaurant is. Every time we have visited, our food has been divinely fresh, I have had the short rib in the past which just falls apart and melts in your mouth, my partner has had a pork dish before which he says the same about. My dad has had prawns and noodles which he devoured, and the oxtail gyoza are out of this world, tasty, fresh, and cooked to perfection! .... but it is all about the sushi for me! Completely fresh, full of flavours and presented beautifully. The service is impeccable, the cocktail menu has changed since our first visit where my partner discovered one of the most amazing whisky sours, but every time we visit the staff are more than happy to make him one regardless of it being on the menu or not. The little blonde lady who does the marketing is very friendly, as are all the floor servers, and I can openly say they have never expected a tip from us and when we do tip (every time) they are over the moon with gratitude. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, very authentic and you are never bombarded with servers checking on you, they time it perfectly to drop by the tables to see if food is good and to make sure we are enjoying our visit. I am also very pleased to hear they are now offering takeaway and this will definitely be of use to us with our busy lifestyle! I just hope that team lokkys realise the positive impact they are having for the majority of their customers and that their efforts don't go unnoticed! Keep up the good work! 🍣😋🍱🍚🥠🥟

We had an overnight stay recently for the Curry & Caroline evening. The hotel was conveniently located on the outskirts of Saundersfoot & Tenby, in an ideal location to enjoy a taste of Pembrokeshire. What can I say? Wow! We stayed in The China Room which was massive & just stunning! It housed a king sized four poster bed, huge TV, dressing table, wardrobe & sofa which looked out to the open French doors for a personal balcony experience with views of the gardens & local landscape. The bathroom was also very big. The information folder gave all the info needed about the hotel & local amenities & even had a page dedicated to the room & what the individual decor that room resembled. Not a sound could be heard overnight from any passing traffic or other staying guests. An impressive start to our stay. After a bath & some down time in our branded robes, we headed down for a themed meal in their impressive restaurant. We were given the option of where we would like to sit & we were pleased to hear the incredible tones of a local acoustic artist Caroline Crabtree. We devoured a three course meal, every bite excited the palette & set our taste buds alive! The flavours of every course were incredible, the best meal out we have had for a long long time. The drinks were just as good, I recommend the tangerine daiquiri which was particularly delicious. Breakfast was just as good. A good variety of continental cereals & juices went alongside a hot food menu which was cooked fresh to order. It is also worth noting that I am vegetarian & my partner a meat eater. It was great to see good options for both, with the staff offering to make alternatives if there was something particular you fancied, a nice touch! The staff were all incredible, nothing was too much trouble & they were happy to help & advise when asked. Sue who welcomed us to the hotel was bubbly, informative & friendly. We were given a tour of the downstairs before being shown our room, including a visit to the guest lounge, a separate area for us to enjoy our drinks away from the hustle & bustle of the restaurant. The waiters & waitresses were attentive & knew the menu well, giving sound advice on the flavours of each curry & the best sides to accompany. In a nutshell, our stay was impeccable. We will 100% recommend this to our friends & family. We will be returning very soon! Thank you Lokky’s!

I have just celebrated my 50th birthday here and I recommend it. We had the pulled pork bao buns, chocolate mouse and caramel banana. Absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly, and they even sang happy birthday to me. We were able to take our dog into the restaurant, they're really dog friendly. Thank you for your hospitality ☺️

Good choice of southeastern and eastern asian dishes. Recommend the desserts (very delicious mochi ice cream). Main dish with beef was very tasty. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. Japanese bento box has a lot of deep fried items, so be aware of that. Important touch: restaurant is not short-staffed and service was polite and friendly. Will be back again to try other dishes in the menu.

Absolutely phenomenal! We stayed in the area for 2 nights about we went back to on the second night because we loved it so much the first time. It is a bit expensive but it's 100% worth it! Also, they were really good with any food restrictions (e.g., diary).

Restaurant is lovely, service wasn’t bad to be far, food wasn’t very good at all, we all had high expectations for this restaurant as it was well presented online, But that really wasn’t the case. I think the only thing cooked fresh here was the noodles. I had Oxtail gyoza 🥟 to start, 100% frozen & cooked in the oven they were dry & powdery For main beef short rib on a bed of udon noodles. Expected a nice roasted piece of beef short rib, but no a dull microwaved short rib out of a bag, noodles & sauce were tasteless . All 6 of us were very disappointed with the food & definitely wont be returning. The quality of the food definitely does not reflect the price!!

Can't comment on the food, but the "cocktail" was a mix kept in a fridge with a dash of lemonade and a lemon chucked in. It did not taste alcoholic in the slightest. When you pay £9.50 for a cocktail, you expect it to be made in front of you! I was enticed by the photos on the website but be aware they look nothing like that.

Food really good but service quite slow as they were very busy. Check when you book that they don't have a second booking on the table if you want a leisurly dining experience. We didn't have time for desert which was a real shame as they sounded lovely! We will go back because the food was just so good

We were very excited to try this place as it was so well sold to us online, the food itself was okay but not amazing, I had the bento box which was filled mainly with deep fried items that became too sickly to eat, I ended up peeling the batter off everything. The sushi was all just cooked tuna not what I was expecting from a high end place I love sushi fish but not 'what tasted like' tinned tuna. Staff, restaurant and drinks were all great. The decor was lovely. My husband had a really delicious Bao but there isn't many options on the menu. I would recommend this place as a pretty nice meal out but not amazing.

Lovely place. Went here on the off chance and so glad we chose this restaurant. The katsu beef short rib and udon noodles are amazing!

Can't fault the food. Good choice of drinks including draughts beers. Service with a smile added to the experience. Normally pan Asian can be let down by their deserts but these were equisite. Even the kids meals tasted good. Best meal on holiday for sure!

We had been eagerly anticipating going for a meal here since it opened, and did so tonight for my mum's birthday. The food was delicious. However our evening was soured by the attitude of the owner/mature waitress upon paying. She essentially demanded a 10% tip, and when I had to apologise and admit that I couldn't afford to tip she angrily stabbed at the calculator to work out the amended bill. Then shoved the notepad at me saying "this is the number." All pleasantries and friendliness completely evaporated. I have worked in hospitality myself, and would never expect a tip as you don't know what people's individual circumstances are, a tip of any size would be received with gratitude. There was no "thank you" or "goodbye" as we left the restaurant despite it not being busy and us having contributed over £100 in custom. Truly disgraceful. Unfortunately, because of this, we will not be returning and will be advising friends to visit other places where their custom is appreciated.

Incredible looking place, superb food and a wonderful service! Our second time and will be visiting again soon. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. Can’t wait to come back again.

The food is good but quite expensive. The service is excellent so quite difficult to rate. Unfortunately our breakfast orders were wrong two mornings out of three but the evening meals were correct. Ronnie is very good.

Nice decor / setting. Staff polite. Just was so disappointed after good reviews .....starter was nice.... main course. My partners first Thai curry. ..very mild no hint of chilli/lemongrass just bland. I left half my main course...asked staff member for chili but was forgotten. I had chicken and prawn noodle dish. Vermicelli noodles .....not nice, like greasy bits of string...again very bland. Would not return.

Gem of a place. The katsu short ribs were superb. Friendly service and pleasant ambience.

If you are familiar with Philippine food then what you are served here will amaze you. At first glance it looks nothing like you expect, it is presented in a style rarely seen outside a 5 star hotel in Manila, and on the first bite, wow..... the tastes will carry you back to your favourite memories of the Philippines. Masarap!!!! Delicious!!!! Service is excellent, friendly, knowledgable and professional. Will 100% be back again. Thank you for reminding me how good Pinoy food can be.

It was unexpectedly good. Food was great, service friendly and reasonable value.

Sat outside as it was nice weather (Easter weekend) and we had a child with us, we were told as we were outside it had to be in take out containers and we could not have cutlery?? So my friend had to eat her £15.95 cheese burger, coleslaw and chips with chop sticks?? Out of wrapped foil! And So I did, and my friend that order a fish dish! And At full restaurant price, not take out price, my small container( the small size you get at a Chinese take out) was half chips with tiny bits of pulled pork, mostly fat and at bit of sauce on top for £8.50. Il try to get a picture on here as it was shocking! I've eaten here before and it has been great, plus eaten outside on plates with cutlery, so I'm not sure why it's gone so down hill! To say it was a disappointment is an understatement 😩

I was lucky and ordered well - so my food was pretty nice (Thai fish cakes and the salmon with rice). The menu is very very small, which is usually a good sign but I find it baffling that the most ‘recommended’ and ‘popular’ dish is a bao with cheese and onion rings and chips? I think if you’re after ‘asian food’ of that type you’d be better going off to Wetherspoons. The service was poor, from forgetting to bring drinks we ordered, having to ask for things several times, bizarre service from some of the staff - including a baffled look when a waitress was asked for the bill, and saying ‘we’ll try to see if there are any spares lying around’ when we asked for the prawn crackers we were told were on their way? Overall for the price point, would expect a lot lot better. If you’re looking for authentic Asian food, don’t go for somewhere that offers steak and chips or onion rings and chips with cheesy baos on a very limited menu.

Fantastic experience at Lokkys this evening! First time visiting and it will definitely not be the last. Food was incredible - the first issue we encountered was trying to decide off the menu as honestly every item sounded amazing! Each of the three courses we ordered was cooked to perfection, presented beautifully and tasted stunning. Ben and Isha who looked after us were attentive but not overpowering/encroaching. Chatty and friendly and genuinely cared! One member of the party was GF and Ben even went to the effort of bringing the allergen folder to the table for our guest to check to ensure she was okay with the menu choices. Overall a fantastic evening, thanks again guys we had a great night!!

Passed Lokkys earlier in the day. Booked dinner & what a surprise. Staff very attentive, great menu & the food was absolutely fabulous.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Friendly staff, beautiful decor and stunning food. The miso salmon and the matcha pandan pannacotta were major highlights, and I loved the umeshuu too. Word of warning - the tiger prawn starter is fiery and only for those who like it🔥 🔥 🔥

Having visited lokkys for the 2nd time myself and my partner have not been disappointed, the food is excellent and of a high standard, very tasty and always hot getting to the table, the staff are polite and efficient, nothing is too much for them they're very helpful. This is are go to local restaurant well done to all the staff lokkys, we will be back

Respect the effort to bring Asian flavours to the area, but I felt like the idea was better than the execution. Crispy chicken starter was ok. Main I had the short rib with udon. The udon noodles were not actually udon and the dish overall was quite bland. Service was mixed, some staff very professional, some quite rude. Overpriced for what it was. Would rather see a more focused menu than trying to combine several Asian cuisines and not succeeding.

Beautiful food, want to go back and try different things on the menu. Loved it!

Just didn't work for me. Had Asian starters with a roast to finish. The starter fishcake had to much coriander and the sticky marmalade chicken had a sloppy texture to it. For the roast the potatoes were rock hard along with all the vegetables and meat was very chewy..

Went for silver wedding anniversary meal. It could not be faulted. When we walked in, there was a bouquet of flowers on the table. The food was outstanding, and so were the staff. A truly memorable experience.

The staff and the food were lovely. The restaurant is light and airy on a summer evening and the decor and layout are very pleasant. Will definitely be going back.

Fantastic restaurant. Had a family meal there last night as well as a birthday celebration. The place was packed due to the Bank Holiday weekend, however all the staff were amazing, excellent and friendly service always, no delays in getting the food to the table. The food was delicious, We ordered all the starters and every one was delicious - my favourite was the prawns and marmalade chicken. Excellent Filipino chicken curry dish, bento box, spectacular leg of duck. The caramelised banana dessert was so good. Lovely gardens with tables outside as well.

Ok, but not great, especially for the price. We didn’t really like our starters the marmalade chicken would have tasted better without the burnt orange flavour, whilst it’s perhaps our error for not realising that the Vietnamese spring rolls would be raw cold vegetables and noodles served in a chewy rubber like translucent sheath.

So lucky to get a table here after a few failed attempts elsewhere in fully booked Saundersfoot. Absolutely delicious meal, lovely and very polite staff and relaxing setting. Would definitley recommend/ come back another day to try something different on the menu! The beef gyoza and pork bao buns were the absolute highlights of our evening. May seem like a small gesture but the fortune cookies and hot towels were a nice touch at the end of our evening too. Thanks for taking care of us!

Lovely Sunday lunch at Lokkys! The service was very fast and the food was lovely! All of us had the beef which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. 10/10 would go again!

Not a very good choice of beers at the bar. Then to top that we were told they were closing at 8.30pm?? Don't like the fact that you can see straight into toilets from entrance passage.

Booked for five five, last night's stay. We chose lokkys based on reviews and vegan options. Food was really tasty, little disappointed the only vegan starter wasn't available, but couldn't fault anything else. We all had mains, vegan Bento box was lush, as were short ribs, coconut curry, short ribs and the pulled pork. Wine very fairly priced. We left very happy and full, then got shafted by a local cab firm who basically abandoned us with a no show. Managed to ask the night porter at the hotel if we could at least shelter in the foyer which was really kind. It was now after midnight , the hotel owner comes to chat, what a guy, he offers and takes us all home, refuses any money. So grateful, and there are still some really nice people in this world. THANK YOU

Marvelous Sunday roast. Staff are excellent, seating indoors or outdoors laid out with no crowding, and facilities spotless. Stuffed myself with roast beef Yorkshire pudding with all the fixings plus a cheesey cauliflower and had to go home for a nap. Next trip over I'll just order desserts!

First time 6 of us went because the Chinise restaurant they also own was full. Words that need to be said is “Wow” absolutely fantastic food staff & atmosphere.

Wow the food was absolutely beautiful. Starter prawns omg they were big and juicy and fantastic sauce, mains: we had duck and pulled pork again cannot fault the food, I had no room for a dessert, gutted, they looked fab.

Had a lovely meal recently with a large group for a very special birthday. The staff were more than accommodating, were incredibly polite and the food was really lovely. It was a Sunday so it was mostly the usual Sunday lunch choice but there were a few unusual starters and also a vegetarian choice. They had a very good puddings. I can't wait to return and try something off their weekday menu.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Amazing pork with crackling, al dente carrots and broccoli. Cauliflower wasn't very cheesy but the vegetable had crunch. Roast potatoes were rock hard but fluffy inside. Wonderful service from the lovely staff. Recommended!

One of the better restaurants in the region. Small menu, but therefore good quality. Philippino Cuisine - really lovely. Great alternative to all the burger and fish & chips…. in Tenby and Saunderfoot.

Has to be without a doubt some of the best dishes we have tried in a while just outside Saundersfoot. We arrived one Saturday evening and was quite busy. However the service was spot on, the food did not take long and was very fresh and tasty. Definitely on our return list.

The perfect Sunday Dinner! Fishcakes as a starter were the BEST i’ve ever had! Other family members absolutely loved the glazed chicken and Soup of the day. The roast was full of flavour and the belly pork and beef were cooked to perfection, vegetables were lovely and the cauliflower cheese was again the best i’ve ever had, The staff were also very kind and nothing was too much for them. 5* Service Thank you!
