Turned up 20 minutes late as we couldn’t get a taxi from Tenby and were told that we had missed our time slot and no tables available. Cost us £40 return trip back. I know we were late but no compromise at all. Very rude staff

Tasteless went straight in the bin and made beans on toast instead will not be ordering from here again

Thank you so much for a very enjoyable meal on Saturday 17th May. As a table of 9, with three families, you very kindly took the orders individually to allow for payment at the end. However, more importantly the food quality and taste was second to none. All three of the families were impressed. The portion sizes were very large so there was excess which we brought home, but this was us over eager ordering as we don’t have a Chinese restaurant near our homes which made this an even better experience. from start to finish, the customer service was amazing. I would highly recommend a visit here. Just to add further, we had a waiter on our table whose name we didn’t take unfortunately- young lad with a moustache who couldn’t have been a better person if he tried. He very kindly arranged for a taxi for us to leave as we caught the local bus to the restaurant from one of the local holiday parks. If you’re visiting Tenby/saundersfoot/west wales, please make a visit to this outstanding Chinese restaurant.

Been coming to Tenby for a couple years now & recently we Visited the Dragon Palace Chinese. Coming from Birmingham I'd like to think I know my fair share of Chinese Restaurants & Takeaways but let me tell you the food at this Restaurant is of the Highest Caliber. Everything we ordered was unbelievable. Highly Highly Recommend this Restaurant of your local or on Holiday or Visiting Saundersfoot or Tenby. IF YOU LOVE CHINESE FOOD YOURL LOVE DRAGON PALACE 🙌

Booked a table for 5pm and were greeted by more than one member of staff. We were show to our table straight away and we’re not left waiting. It wasn’t long before someone came and gave us a menu and asked us what we wanted to drink. Fifteen minutes later (it felt like ten) our meals were served. It was amazing. Another member of staff asked us if we needed anything around ten mins into eating. We were not left standing or waiting and the food was perfect. When we finished we had our table cleared quickly. We were all done and paid by 17:41. We didn’t rush our meal we were just served straight away. Five stars. ✨

We enjoyed what we had but £9.30 for the special fried rice is quite frankly extortion.

Very busy and had a long standing wait. Got seated and waited a while for drinks and a menu which we had asked three times. Menu was sticky so I went to wash my hands but the 2 doors going to the toilet is stupidly very heavy with no warning sign so it closes suddenly and hit my toe. It's left it bleeding and in pain, its also got the blood inside showing. This is really dangerous because if it was fingers they would probably break. The corridor is also small so you have to wait for people. It would be good to have the first door opened with a door stop with a boulder... or replaced with beads/ proper door. Very noisy. Very polite and caring staff. They often check on you. Impressed with the soup, they used REAL crab meat which nobody ever does. It tasted great! The duck was plentiful too. They gave really cute hand wipes at the end that I kept instead because they're too pretty to use.

We celebrated my husband's birthday this evening at the Dragon Palace. At 6 pm the restaurant was full and there was a great busy, Saturday night vibe. We had a set meal for two, which was generous with a delicious medley of starters. Crispy seaweed, prawn toast, spare ribs, spring rolls and crispy chicken. All were good. The mains were special fried rice, beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken and mixed vegetables. All good, our favourite was the rice. The service was quick and efficient. It's not the sort of place for a leisurely evening, but if you want a good traditional Chinese it's excellent, and good value. We will return.

Visited this restaurant Easter weekend. First time for me and a return visit for my partner. It was very busy (especially with takeaway orders). We were served and received our starters promptly but then waited almost an hour for our main course. There were lots of waiting staff working but, it seemed, very little organisation. The portions were quite small (which surprised my partner who’d visited previously and commented on how he felt the portion sizes had shrunk). The food was okay but definitely not outstanding. Sadly this experience has put us off a further visit.

We got a takeaway from here thinking it must be good based on the reviews and the price but we were left disappointed. We thought the food was just average and couldnt believe the size of the sweet and sour sauce provided! it was tiny which made our chips dry with no dipping sauce. Really disappointed and won’t be coming back.

Absolutely fab food and brilliant service. This place is worth the hype and deserves to be as busy as it is! The staff clearly work so hard and the food was outstanding and very quick and efficient service. The place is also well-decorated with a lovely vibe. No faults at all!

Called for a collection, was left on hold for 15 mins before I hung up. Drove to restaurant, staff need to brush up on there customer service skills, guy on till was very miserable. Had crispy shredded chilli beef and crispy shredded chicken, chicken balls, egg rice, plain noodles and chips. Chicken balls were nice, the rest quite bland. Won’t be returning.

The dragon palace, on arrival I wasn't sure whether we'd be greeted by the king or a dragon. As it happens it was neither, but Bruce lee and Nemo were at reception so that made us feel instantly at home. Almost lost a star because of no real dragons but luckily the food was outstanding so they kept their 5th star...top job 5⭐ 👍🏻

Had a gluten free meal with the family and the food was gorgeous. It was light, flavourful and the staff were very happy to cater for dietary requirements. Would thoroughly recommend!

Firstly the food was absolutely abysmal. How they had the ordasity to actually serve it is beyond me . The crispy duck was dry and burnt and the pancakes looked liked they had the life cooked out of them I was so annoyed that I sent my meal back and requested something else . I do not understand why the Cantonese crispy beef now contains lots of sliced jalapeños and roquito chillies why ? Some people do not like alot of heat . I personally think the original standard and quality of this restaurant has certainly gone down hill and lokkys is much more superior in service and food quality. I think the owners really need to invest sometime in Dragon palace to evaluate how to maintain the quality it use to have

I’ve been a regular customer at dragon palace, but my most recent order was extremely disappointing. The noodles and BBQ ribs were both dry, completely tasteless and didn't look very appetising, lacking any effort or authenticity. It felt like the food was carelessly thrown together rather than prepared with any real attention to quality. Unfortunately, this was the worst meal I’ve had from here, and it’s really disappointing to see such a decline. I hope they take more care in the future, but for now, I won’t be returning.

Whole experience was abysmal. Long wait for prebooked table, Wrong drink arrived while waiting 75 minutes fore food arrive. which when it arrived was missing one item and another item was the wrong King prawn dish.

We have come to this restaurant many times previously, always pay a visit whilst in Saundersfoot and have also drove the two hours from our home town just for food of an evening as my daughter loves it there, but tonight was extremely disappointing the food and the service was poor and I for one will not be returning for some time At the start we gave our order etc and after 50 minutes no signs of it coming and others around us who came in after us where having theirs so I asked and to be fair they were open and honest and said the order hadn’t been put through and the ticket has been lost , so okay the young boy apologised to be fair , food eventually came but was quite cold and just poor in comparison to previous visits Our mains was not much better when that eventually came The final straw / there was a bucket of valentine flowers in the bucket right at the side of us and when we paid our bill and was going I could see that every other table had a valentine’s flower , now not for me I’m not bothered but my daughter ( who has a disability) would have loved one , so I said to the man can we purchase a flower please? He said oh haven’t had one have u ? I said no we haven’t so he proceeded and said what colour and my daughter had her flower but honestly very very disappointed overall tonight and I’m a big fan of the place but not after tonight plus it’s only a 3 rating another disappointing aspect , I think they so busy with take aways as well they are not looking after their in-house customers like they should be,

Ordered a take away online for delivery. With a planned delivery time. Arrived ninety minutes early. Not great as waiting for the other diners. Rejected the delivery. Rang up to be told don't worry will cook fresh for delivery time. Next delivery arrived thirty minutes early. Most of the dishes were good, one dish looked warmed up to being not good. A few fresher bits looked added. I did not eat that dish, my wife did and was not great the following day. Previous meals have been amazing, this not so good.

My go to Chinese, quick and easy and always lovely food

I've got to say 3 years ago I would never imagine leaving this review. This Chinese became our favourite. Always our go to take away and we would always recommend it to others. However especially after the revamp of the place it's gone completely down hill. The price for one has just gone up and up (with cost of living we tried to understand and felt it was still worth it) but the quality of food went down with the price rise. I'm a local and I live 5. 3 miles down the road. And the amount they charge for delivery is insane so we've always collected. But on 3 (only 1 they let us pick up instead of losing the order) occasions we've been told we couldn't pick up we HAD to have delivery which was a stupid amount added to our already expensive order so we had to cancel our order. And the final straw is being told that it's going to take 2 hours for a small order. Bet if I had asked for a delivery it would have been about 30 mins wait. The food like I said is OK, but it's no where as good as it used to be, most of the staff are ok one or two have been rude as anything though. Especially the woman who told me I couldnt order a pick up only a delivery but wouldn't actually say why that was the case and then the manager came on the phone apologised and put us down for a pick up. I understand being busy and having alot to cook and do but it feels like they have lost what made this Chinese so great. Edit: just thought I'd add for reference regarding the delivery price. They wanted to charge £7 and like I said we are 5.3miles away. Our orders are between £30-£40 and then £7 on top for someone to drop it off when we were more then happy to pick up.

6 of us dropped in tonight for a meal with no booking and the restaurant was able to fit us in and we are glad that they could. We are in the area for a holiday and looked up Trip Advisor for recommendations near Folly Farm for a sit in Chinese meal and this close and had decent reviews.The food was delicious, served promptly and the portion sizes were decent. I personally would recommend the Hot & Sour soup, Crispy Shredded Beef on a Golden Nest but I also had some Chicken Fried Rice, Salt n Chilli Chips and Chicken Chow Mein to try and these were also lovely. We would deffo visit if in the area again

Worst Chinese takeaway, so expensive food was very bland!!! Ribs were the worst I’ve had anywhere. Spent £80 on takeaway never again. Go somewhere else in Pembrokeshire, there are plenty more around half the cost.

First time visiting today, one young boy stood out to us! He was serving our food and drinks, for a very young boy he had loads of confidence and was polite throughout our visit outstanding food and service 😊😊

Just had the egg fried rice with peppered beef from Dragon Palace, and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy and flavorful, while the beef had just the right amount of spice and tenderness. A great combination that left me craving more! Take away from here. Ordered by phone, long wait before it would be ready and then 10mins late at collection. Parking on site but was full. Food was tasty but more expensive than we normally pay in east sussex. Would suggest you need to book to eat in. Nice food and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Love coming here when in the area. The food is delicious, and the staff are so friendly. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from. Each dish is cooked perfectly. You won't be disappointed. The staff are always so friendly and approachable. They cannot do enough for us and are happy to cater for wheelchairs.

The best spare ribs I’ve had in a long time! We ordered one of the set meals for two, option B. There was plenty of food and the quality was spot on. The beef in black bean was so tender and the sauce was nice and thick, coating the meat. If anything service was a little quick but a tiny criticism for an overall excellent evening

I travel form Swansea to Pembroke every day for work and on Friday Evenings we have a takeway meal, Having seen the revue's I tried this place I can honestly say that the food does not match the revue's the food is totally bland and by far the worst I have had. And at a much higher cost buyer beware.

Hadn't had a Chinese in years due to the varied quality in our local, but our holiday takeaway from here was absolutely lovely- freshly cooked, lovely ingredients & generous portions! We will definitely visit again

UPDATE SINCE LAST TIME; Gluten free still not a problem here, above and beyond, offer a great gluten free menu now too! Was amazing and helpful with gluten free even made me a rice noodle chow mein! Chicken and ham fried rice was amazing, I wasn't a big fan of the chicken and bean sprouts but customer service and the speed of service was outstanding. I really struggle finding places to eat and this place was really reassuring and great with opting to gluten free.

Had a wonderful meal in Dragon Palace on Sunday, although very busy there was no long wait for food, the meal we had was excellent and there was plenty of it. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Had not been prior to Sunday night but will definitely return, thank you for a lovely experience.

Weighted on the phone for 15 minutes when to start my order they put the phone down ring the other line answered in 10 minutes to get told I have to go back into another queue never heard so much rubbish will never go there again

Last time we sat in but this time we decided on a take out for the whole party of 14. Very patient with our large order which was ready very quickly. They do deliver but we decided to collect. Food was very good and enjoyed by everyone from 2 years to old.

Been to this restaurant many times over last 5 years but now restaurant has had complete makeover which was desperately needed.... wow what a transformation dragon palace is now 5 star dining experience, food fantastic service second to none ( Betty was brilliant) and great value so will we be going back.... most definitely

Wow. The food is really excellent. Nice place, greeted at the door promptly. Staff all very friendly. Reasonably priced but very good food. You'll need to book, but definitely go for dinner. (Big shout out to Alex, who personally asked me to include his name in this review.)

Seriously excellent Chinese food. We ordered a takeaway while on vacation, it was busy but food was ready for collection within 30 minutes of ordering. The food really was faultless, will 100 percent be using again when next back in Amroth.

Excellent food and good service. Only issue for me was that the spare ribs were too salty otherwise I couldn't see any issues. Restaurant had a lovely spacious area.

Absolutely tasty everyone enjoyed , the service was fantastic but the only let down was one of our party of 6 had to wait a very long time for her meal which came after we nearly finished ours, just glad the portions were big so that she could share ours.

What a fantastic experience. The restaurant was very busy but great attentive service. The staff were so so friendly Now to the food it was incredible, the best we have ever had anywhere. Piping hot, wonderful flavours and the chicken and beef were tender and beautiful. There is a 10% service charge on the bill (you can ask for it to be removed) we also gave an additional 10%. Credit when Credit is due. Well done we will be back.

From start to finish the food and service was impeccable. The flavours, the smells, the tastes. Simply WOW! From first sight to last bite the food was outstanding. Service was secured to none. Regular checks. but not intrusive. Asking how the service was as well as the food. Some 5* hotels should take note. On what seemed like a very busy service, the food came out quickly, fresh and as I've said flavourful and could not be faulted. Whether you want a beautiful meal or stunning takeaway, this is where to go in Pembrokeshire.

What a great find. From the minute you you walk in the ambience is great. Friendly staff. Amazing food. There were 5 of us and we each had something different to eat so lots of different dishes for us to try. The best Chinese restaurant I have ever tried. Will definitely be back.

Great food, friendly staff. A little slow getting courses out this time, but all previous times they've been quick. Update 2023: Excellent as always, the gold standard by which we compare all other Chinese restaurants. The chicken satay skewers and crispy shredded beef are perfect. Update 2024: Still excellent. Had a redecoration inside now and it looks really good.

I have a severe onion allergy and specifically told the person taking the order, I saw them input this into the till. When I received my food, I said it didn't taste right and felt funny, then in the middle was just 1 piece of onion. I was very ill with my lips swelling and had to take antihistamines straight away. When I complained about this and what it caused, assuming they do not clean their pans or care. They ignored me. They are lucky I didn't eat the onion just the contamination. Or I could have ended up in hospital. People with allergies need to AVOID!!!

Excellent food, good portions and price, excellent staff. We had duck quarter, wontons, HK ss chicken, Kung po special, rice and noodles. Was delicious.

I was so pleasantly surprised with our recent take away from here. It is unlike almost all other take aways i have tried (and we really like Chinese food). It is really fresh, and light and just so awesome. Many places use lots of oil or excess spice to cover up aging veg, but this place, not a hint of that. We had, beancurd sweet and sour, black bean and mixed vegetables, a portion of chips and fried rice no egg.
