Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Good option to taste different wines before you decide to have a full glass. The food selection is limited, but very good quality. The wine variety is huge. It works self-service with a chip card.

The loki wine dinner at Chapter was sooooo gooood, excellent wine from Chapautier, and the fantastic food from Chapter as always. I learnt so much about the delicious wine from northern Rhone and great company too. Thank you 🙏

Went for a cider tasting and had a food platter.

Popped into pick up some wine that I could not find elsewhere. Very knowledgeable staff who care about their customers. Lots of seating areas if you want to try some wine which can can be served using their dispensing machines or you can buy a bottle and consume on site too. Some food is available, though I did not try that out.

Lovely wine bar tucked away from the busy city. Great selection of take away/drink in and wine dispensing system means you can have a taste of wines that are usually only sold by the bottle. Great almonds and olives

I've been to Loki Edgbaston a number of times, both with my partner and bringing friends and family when they come to visit. It is always a wonderful experience with a constantly changing selection of wines to try. Their 75ml portion is just the right size for trying a good number of different wines that I otherwise wouldn't necessarily try, and it's helped me expand my thoughts and likes to countries I wouldn't have considered. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area!

Fernominal variety of wines. But not sure about the pricing of the drink-in compared to taking the drinks out. It was such a difference. Please be aware of this.

WSET level 1 course Supportive punctual and professional course attended in May.

Visited on Sunday 28 May and it was relatively quite at first, but picked up towards the later evening and staff member accommodated everyone with a warm welcoming smile. Although on her own, she still had time to chat to regulars and serve others. Wine choice is great, and the explanatory cards at wines are a big help. Can't wait to get back and sit outdoor with a bottle of wine in the sun.

My daughter took me here for my birthday,it was a very enjoyable experience. Charcuterie board was lovely and it was so different to be able to select and pour your own wines

As a wine shop, there's always great advice and an excellent selection - from beautiful Croatian, Armenian and Uruguayan wines to the standard bottles you'd expect to find. As a bar, Loki is the only bar I know of with self-service machines (that let you try tiny amounts as well as full glasses) where all the wines taste perfectly fresh. A really nice place to equip yourself for people coming round, or to spend an evening out.

A fabulous bar with an easy to use self-service system from the wine wall. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. As well as the amazing wine selection, I can highly recommend the charcuterie board. Prices are reasonable too, with glasses to suit every budget. And with the tram extended to Edgbaston, it is now so much easier to reach Loki and the neighbouring businesses too

Good atmosphere and super friendly staff

Staff are really welcoming, warm and patient. Radu knows exactly what you would like and not like and unlike many arrogant and impatient wine staff I’ve met, he takes the time to explain things and has recommended good wines for the buck.

Really lovely experience. We enjoyed the wine which was on tap so you could try as many as you like in taster, small or large glass via a prepaid card. Food was wonderful, lovely atmosphere and staff. Also a large wine shop you could buy to take home or enjoy in the bar. Well worth a visit!

A pretty decent selection of wines by the bottle, both to take away or drink in. The place has a pleasant atmosphere and invites you to share a bottle of wine with some friends. The selection by the glass was limited, yet you could detour your way for a casual drink or two here.

Our visit on 27 March at lunchtime was an excellent experience. The female member of staff on duty was very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Visited on a Monday night, very quiet so it made it quite intimate and nice for a date. The cheese and charcuterie board was lovely. Very cool concept, would like to re-visit with more atmosphere maybe on a Thursday/Friday.

Beautiful venue, I had a private wine tasting here for my birthday way back in January. Dina who looked after us was very knowledgeable and we all had a brilliant time, would definitely do it again!

Have been a huge fan of Loki since the moment the first store launched in town. Even more excited about the Edgbaston venue, and haven't been disappointed. Perfect location and just such an exciting venue for spontaneous meet ups, casual catch ups, business meets. Can't recommend highly enough!

Lovely place , good for chilling and dating

I have been here a couple of times. Small place but really cosy , they have a big choice of wine. The Aperitif was really nice with meat and cheese.

Part of a 50th Wedding Anniversary Radu and his team gave a party of 14 a brilliant wine tasting, with meats and cheeses experience. Radu’s wine explanations were fantastic. He made the whole experience for our group, age range from 8yr (not drinking🤣) to 85yrs old absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. The next time I visit Birmingham this will be my first port of call.

A beautiful emporium for wine lovers. I admit to not knowing my Schloer from my Bolinger. So what attracted me to Loki Wine & Deli? It was the bright lights of its humble deli counter and the promise of mince pies. At the small deli counter I could see the beautiful, yet straightforward, range of cheeses, hams and antipastos. These are more to complement the wines than a meal outright. The wine is elegantly presented on its many wooden shelves around the perimeter of the shop. The wooden standing platform on the left hand side of the shop was well lit, displaying the more audacious drink varieties. There are a few tables to sit down and relax in the company of groups and grapes. The staff appeared helpful and I’m sure knowledgeable on the subject of wines.

We booked last night for a party of 10 and I could not be more pleased with the atmosphere, quality and most importantly the service. From the moment we arrived they were nothing but professional and attentive. I would like to give an especially large thank you to Sophie, the staff member who looked after us for the night. Whenever we needed something she provided without fail. She is a credit to the business. Absolutely wonderful night, highly recommend.

I stumbled upon this wonderful Wine merchant in Edgbaston, on my way back from shopping. As Usual, my camera had to come out and take some photographs, they have a wonderful selection of products. I also spoke to the manager who is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Get along and support this magnificent local business. I will also post a photo in video on my YouTube channel, called, Birmingham close up.

Interesting place you can preload a 'credit card' then taste a variety of wines from dispensing machines. Generally about £1.00-1.30 for a 25ml tasting sample. Then choose a larger glass if you find one you like. Food plates tasty but overpriced.

If you're looking for wine tasting this place is a hidden gem, also have a fridge full.of craft beers and a couple of largers on tap

Visited Loki Wine and Deli in Edgbaston for the first time yesterday and will definitely be visiting again! It was very quiet at the time we visited but we felt very comfortable. The staff were helpful-showing us the ropes with the wine bar. We enjoyed 3 very different wines from the wine bar and were more adventurous with our choices than we would have normally have been if we had had to choose a more usual sized glass. And we can certainly recommend the charcuterie and cheese platters-wow!!

A lovely evening with our daughter and partner sampling a variety of expensive wine we otherwise couldn't afford. A great atmosphere and very helpful staff mage for a great time.
