We had afternoon Tea for 2 pre booked. Everything was lovely and delicious homemade cakes & scones were presented. Unlimited tea of your choice. We opted for a couple of glasses of prosecco as were celebrating my birthday. A lovely afternoon out

I was not wowed by the food. I thought the food was rather mediocre and a bit on the pricey side. Service was not too bad. Waitress was polite and food was served in a timely manner. I thought the atmosphere was ok but I was engrossed in conversation anyway. Lovely window seat by the quay. Free parking once you entered your car registration details on the screen next to the entrance.

Wonderful dinner in the dome. We were upgraded there for free as there was a Christmas party and disco in the main restaurant. What a lovely gesture and a fabulous experience. It was cosy and quiet with controllable heating and our own Bluetooth speaker provided. It was raining and 4° outside but perfectly comfortable in the dome. The food was excellent and the service was first rate. Despite the added faff for the staff to come out and see us, they did so often to take orders and get drinks. Will definitely be back.

We visited lock and quay last year for a Christmas party, we loved it so much that we decided to book again this year. However, we were not told that the date booked was not a Christmas party. Therefore, due to other group cancellations we were told about 4 days before that there would be no Christmas party and no DJ. We didn’t have time to book elsewhere as it was all booked up. However, the manager Denise gave us a dome to sit in and we were served at the table, food was great and the service was great. We had a lovely time in the end but wasn’t happy overall with how things were dealt with. From not having a DJ to be told on the morning of the Christmas dinner that some food was also not available. For this reason I have left a disappointing review. Last year was amazing and it’s a shame we couldn’t have the same this year.

10/10 experience at Lock & Quay Restaurant & Bar! My wife and I booked one of the domes, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy, private, and perfect for a special evening out. The food was outstanding. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and a solid 9/10, while the lamb shank was tender, flavorful, and easily a 10/10. And the spinach dip? Hands down, the best we’ve ever had anywhere—it’s a must-try! What made our night even more memorable was our server, Sara. She was by far the best server we’ve had during our travels in Europe. Sara was incredibly personable, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect. Her warmth and professionalism added so much to our dining experience. Highly recommend Lock & Quay for a special night out—you won’t be disappointed!

Went here a couple of weeks back for a landmark birthday. Wasn't overwhelmed by the place at all to be perfectly honest. Not much atmosphere, decor was a bit dated. Had a weird video of a burning log fire on a TV on the wall. Four of our party had steaks, one of which was the stringiest piece of crap going (other pieces were great). Liked the chips and the veg though The others had burgers, but two requested burgers with no sauce on them, but ended up with sauce on them. Burgers themselves tasted okay to me, but others didn't like them as they had a 'little spice' to them. Service was excellent, the American or Irish accented girl's attention to the guests was great as was the other lass there. Pricing is not so good, I get that it's in a nice area, but in my opinion it's a little overpriced for what it is.

Nice to be by the marina but the food was awful and staff extremely rude and argumentative.

We booked a pod for 6 to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday. Service from arriving to leaving was professional and polite. Food was tasty and drinks ice cold. Top marks to Sue who delivered top notch service. Will be returning soon.

Nice location. Food was satisfactory but expensive. Not sure would go again. Service seemed slow even though didn't seem that busy. My daughter had chocolate cheesecake but she said it tasted of lemon. Strange. No dish outstanding so can't recommend any.

Nice spot for lovely lunch or dinner outside. If you want to sit in the bubble you have to pre book and pay extra which Is a bot of the shame Food. Was okay. Starters nice. Ribs good portion but they were a bit dry. Chunky chips looked lovely but tasted awful. They were soggy and friend on the same oil as fish, so they had fishy taste .

Food was great! However the service was appalling. We booked a table of 8 of us for Sunday roast. Food initially came fast and was great. However after that we were completely ignored for over 45 minutes . We had some plates left on our tables the whole time, and we were also sat right next to the till, yet the staff never checked on us. We would have ordered more drinks and deserts but we were never offered. The girls serving the other tables seemed great and attentive, but we seemed to have a man serving us who paid us no attention and didn't even say bye as we left. Also tried to give us a £24 service charge on top! Doubt I'll be coming back

The food was ok but not as good as previous visits Service was poor/non-existent. We sat outside for lunch alongside other dinners on a very hot. No staff were visible to make an order. My friend then said some what an hour and a half later the staff did say they do not do table service outside (if there's no one dinning inside why would you not come out to take orders or at least see if your visitors are ok)?? On top of the poor service, I received a £100 parking ticket. When I telephoned, the person who answered the phone proceeded to tell me there were large signs all over (so blaming me for not noticing). If staff were attentive to their visitors, they should have asked if you parked in the carpark and to register your vehicle It was a very big letdown after a lovely afternoon out

Lovely views with great food… Lamb Roast is a must!

I recently visited Lock & Quay and it was a fantastic experience. The views are absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was excellent, with generous portions that are sure to satisfy. On top of that, the staff were incredibly polite and attentive, adding to the overall great atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a place to unwind with beautiful scenery or enjoy a hearty meal, this spot has it all. Highly recommend! I will definitely come back

Definitely recommend this place. The place is for families and also they have a romantic atmosphere for couples too. Food is delicious, and you can have a table inside and outside the restaurant, especially next to the canal.

Nice and relaxing food is really good

Visited 20th Feb 2024. I went with my family for my 57th birthday. We've been here before and love the place. My fillet was cooked to a perfect med rare and we dined well. I would and have recommended L&Q highly to friends and relatives. During those long summer evenings this is a quiet haven for peaceful cocktails.

Yesterday was the first time I'd eaten at Lock and Quay, although I have had a cheeky pint there now and then. The food was delicious! Service was great too - it's a very friendly place.

I love the food and the place but the staff there is so rude and cold . They are not at all welcoming and do not cater at all to your requests. This is the third time I went and staff has always been rude which is such a put off and I really like the food there

Lovely,quiet place to just sit and relax on the marina's edge, with a drink and good friends.

It was our first visit to Lock & Quay Restaurant & Bar for a quick lunch, and we only stayed for 30 minutes as we were in a rush. A week later, we received a letter stating that we parked there for 31 minutes without permission, and our car was not authorized to park there. We were surprised and visited the restaurant again to discuss the issue politely and also to have dinner while we were there. The manager was not helpful and seemed more interested in money, repeatedly referring us to a different company, Willowtree Marina, and asking us to pay half of the parking charge. Fortunately, we had paid for lunch by bank card, so we had proof that we were customers of the restaurant. Despite this, we were still issued a parking ticket. The parking charge is more than the price of our meal, with a demand for £100 for just 30 minutes of parking. The restaurant staffs are very very rude on phone calls... This feels like a money trap, asking customers to pay for parking despite dining at the restaurant. We would not recommend this place to anyone to avoid such trouble.

I’ve seen many negative reviews on parking, but I must say it isn’t that hard to register your car. It’s a free car park & there are signs everywhere & a big poster to say to register. The food is always lovely and the staff are great! Nice views great for drinks with friends & the functions are the best!

A place that one must never miss to dine in...specially on a Sunday afternoon! The staff is friendly atmosphere is soothing and food is yummy. Our lovely host is charming and helpful always. Just remember to register your car no as when you enter the restaurant so that you don't get a parking ticket because the car park is not free anymore but for the restaurant users it is 🙂🙂

Not even worth one star for the simple fact that we dined here and received a parking charge fine of £100. Absolutely appalling treatment. Appealed with evidence of lunch receipt but apparently that’s not good enough. I have been coming here for years and have never had to put in my number plate. Approached staff at the restaurant to see if they could resolve it and they were rude and unhelpful. Will not be returning.

The place is stunning and the atmosphere uplifting. Staff was nice. The food however was really bad, limited vegeterian options, overpriced, small portions and tasteless. Ill go back for drinks but not for the food.

I called the restaurant and spoke to Denise to check availability for a large booking for my daughters 21st birthday dinner. From the start I received impeccable service. We as a family have dined there before but our guests had not. We had a total of 28 adults and 9 children!!! We chose the 2 set meal starters and main (choices given 1 week before) and all the food came out together and was piping hot. My guests loved the whole atmosphere, all the staff were so accommodating with everyone's needs, nothing was too much. We all had an amazing evening. Denise all your staff from waiters, bar staff, chefs etc are a credit to you. Above all my daughter had the best 21st birthday. Thank you again so much xxx

Excellent food, top quality, top notch. Prawns and fish are must try here. Restaurant is on banks of pond with ducks and boats around making it the picturesque location to have your lunch or dinner. Loved it..

I first visited on 9 of March for Mother’s Day. The food was good I had the oven baked salmon that comes with rice and vegetables and a sauce which was lovely. Especially the rice, it was so fresh and full of flavor I was pleasantly surprised. My mother had the steak which was good although the chips weren’t great. Overall the meal was lovely and so was the cheesecake. But the lady who served us wasn’t very welcoming and although it wasn’t busy she was taking a while to come to our table even though she wasn’t doing anything and we were trying to get her attention. Then my partner and I decided to go on the 16th of March and we hired a dome. The experience was excellent and the lovely American (I think) lady who served us was so lovely and definitely made our night. You can listen to your own music in the dome and there is a Dyson heater so it’s so warm and nice. They also have a 2 for 13 offer on cocktails from 4-8 if I remember correctly so that’s great. I ordered the same meal as the first time as I enjoyed the rice so much the first time. But unfortunately the rice was dry, all stuck together and tasted nothing like the other day. Other than that I can’t complain, the rest of the food was great and the experience in the dome and the service was amazing. Will be visiting again definitely.

Perfect place for business meeting with a glass of wine. Nice English style food. Can enjoy the canal view with a lots of boats. Private domes available for family. I rate them 4.5 stars

I visited Lock & Quay restaurant this evening and I am obliged to send this review right away. Apart from being well located on the canal in lovely surroundings, I was warmly greeted by lovely Sue who looked after my friends and I very well, even sharing her spectacle 👓 with us as I forgot mine. She really made us feel at home. We had a slight misunderstanding with our starters, but once again, in came their gorgeous Demi to save the day doing her best to rectify and accommodate us, of which she did in not just a professional manner, but with a lot of care and attention. Even as she left for the evening she doubled back to make sure we were satisfied. A lovely, caring person who you can see enjoys looking after her customers. The food was a reflection of the staff simply delicious. But I'll say no more. I recommend you go try it yourself. Thank you Sue & Demi for making our experience at the Lock & Quay a memorable one.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Tranquil location by the river. Food is presented well, feels like a proper treat. Only two others in there on a weekday lunchtime, yet my server Sue made me feel very special for my birthday. I’ll be back!

The pod was a lovely spot to spend an afternoon, eating tasty food and enjoying the peaceful view. The algae on the pod didn't bother me. But the manager's explanation - that it was down to all the rain over the last couple of days - did bother me. I don't think that lying to your customers is a clever way to head off bad reviews.

It was okay? Burgers were over cooked, way over priced & over promised ('applewood cheese' translated to a square of plastic cheese, for example). The truffle fries didn't seem to have any truffle on them either. Asked for a cider and after going through the 5+ draught options with the bartender it turned out none were available & I was offered a bottle of Kopparberg, which was already open but in the fridge- bit concerning. This was also the last one. Bartender was very apologetic though & the service on the whole was fine. Also, 'no ketchup available until 3ish' was a new one on me!

We were waited on by Holly, Debbie and Daniel.Great service throughout.Exceeded our expectations.Food was a bit pricey but worth every penny.birthday celebration for my mum's 67th and she enjoyed every minute.Bluetooth connection to set the mood nice touch to the evening.Well done guys!Will definitely recommend and come again.Cheers, Marie.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday. I had garlic chicken with fresh vegetables, all perfectly cooked. The location is beautiful, especially when the sun shines. Will definitely go back again.

Yesterday was a beautiful (Christmas party 🥳 🎉 ) we enjoyed our time in this wonderful place, the food was very delicious, the servers were kind and friendly, the Dj was very good 👍 . Thanks a lot for the whole stuff there.

We had a dinner dome 2 years ago and everything would have had 5 stars, unfortunately when we went last week the domes had mold growing in them which doesn’t really give a cosy feel :( a shame. There were a few cute Christmas decorations and temperature was good

Food tasted kinda stale like it was heated up food, not quite freshly tasting. I had a Sunday which had a flood of gravy and an awful taste. Food was served within 5 mins of being seated and ordering. Fairly priced and large portions but my guess is it was probably frozen food that was just heated up. Will I be going there again, no.

Have been a few times and this time we went for our mums birthday and the service was poor and made us feel unwelcome, ruining our impression of the place. Not sure if it was because we had a baby with us (which shouldn’t effect it), or that we were brown (?) or that there was an issue going on in the kitchen. The staff were huffing and puffing and complaining, and the restaurant was empty so it was very easy to hear them. It felt like asking for water or ordering was a chore and often done with attitude (slamming water down). The place was decorated very nicely though, in a nice area and the food was decent. There was one waitress who was kinder (actually smiled at us) but the overall impression from them made it difficult to enjoy. Also, when we phoned to book, they were lovely and friendly and were happy to make accommodations to make a salmon roast but when we went, they said no. May go back but hoping the service may be better on a Sunday.

Hidden gem with attentive staff and delicious food. I had the cajun chicken burger with thick cut chips followed by the lemon sponge and custard which was just what was needed on a cold autumn night. They also have a vegan menu.

First time here so no real review to make beyond the staff being very friendly and efficient, good was good and prompt and looking over the water is anyways a joy.

We had a pod as a group of 6 which was very cozy. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The fish and chips was very nice.

Shockingly poor service! Not even a "hello" greeting by the two staff members, let alone any eye contact or a simple smile! Completely ignored my husband and I, who had to stand awkwardly left waiting, even had to ask for a menu, which was handed abruptly with no follow up, interest or sense of care. So utterly dissapointed and surprised as previously over a year ago, recieved much better service from previous staff, who at least acknowledged a customer's existence! Literally walked out as felt so unwelcome!!! (Visited Monday 11th Sept around midday)

Never felt so unwelcome at a pub. Service today was none existent, bar staff looked miserable, Ignored by both staff, no eye contact or a simple 'I'll be right with you'. Only bothered to communicate once I asked a question, otherwise complety ignored us. Won't be coming back here again, owner needs to train their staff with better communication skills!

Parking is the issue. If you forgot to record, then you get a ticket. No peace of mind.

We went to one of the function nights on a Sunday. The atmosphere was great, lovely music, good service and great food with large portions. The owner Denise is friendly and welcoming, overall a great restuarant in a great location!

I’ve been coming here off and on for many years. The offering has always been good value, well made, good value, and generous portion sizes. The location is very pleasant, overlooking the Yeading marina. More recently, the venue has been busier, which in my humble view has only benefited the guest experience. If you haven’t been, definitely worth a visit.

Popped down here for a bit of food with a friend, great service and we really enjoyed it. Had a few issues with the parking (mainly our own fault) but Denise the owner resolved them without any fuss, so will be definitely popping back.

Found this hidden gem on a disastrous 2 days after I flights were cancelled. Denise is the loveliest person you could meet. Food was fab, atmosphere was fab, views were fab. A silver lining for us finding this place. Can't recommend enough. Thanks Denise for such a warm welcome and making us feel at home.
