Lock Gates Limited in Hartlepool

Wow what a place. Very well priced food and very good portion size and value for money. Been here loads for breakfast so decided to try lunch menu. Fish and Chips Steak and Ale Pie Baguette All of us loved our lunch and everything was spot on. Going to try the Parmo next time.

It was so good we went back for Sunday lunch on the same day. Friendly staff, great food and willing to help out with any issues whatsoever

Called in with my wife Christine after a walk through the marina and along to Seaton Carew, both decided on The Full English, 2 bacon , 2 sausage , beans , egg , mushrooms, hash browns and toast. Best breakfast i,ve had in years , piping hot and all cooked fresh. Staff all pleasant and polite.

They served two excellent breakfasts at a very reasonable price. First time here but not the last as the owner was extremely helpful in assisting with the parking cost. The lunch menu also looks good so we will be back to try it. A big thanks to the owner and staff. Fully recommended.

On Saturday we came for our breakfast and it was bloody lovely the two new waitresses where very polite and welcoming and they made my day after offering the best deal for me and my friends will definitely recommend

The waitresses were terrible therefore making the service rubbish. The food was mediocre and overpriced.

A warm welcome awaited us when we sat down and the Waiter took our drinks order, shared a joke about their range of coffee. Another waitress whilst passing was asking if we had ordered and if everything was ok. The menu we couldn’t decide to begin with for what to eat in a good way. A very varied menu but not a crazy amount of different items. Baguette and sizzling chicken we ordered and waited not long but long enough to know it was made fresh. Food was delicious, so dabbled with a gorgeous cheesecake to follow. Definitely coming back; Staff where brilliant. menu is on point and the decoration and restaurant area was top drawer.

Just had a lovely meal here. I had omelette, chips and salad and husband had ultimate burger and chips. The chips are gorgeous and the portions are very generous. All staff members were very friendly. The toilets were immaculate. Will definitely return again.

Love this place ! Came for the first time a few weeks ago on the recommendation of family who come very regularly. I've been 3 times now. Once with partner, once with mum and today I brought the whole family to try it. Hadn't even realised it's dog friendly, so the little dog might come next time. Can't fault the place ! Staff are lovely and so is the food. Good value, big portion sizes. Best chips in town. Very modern and clean inside. All well looked after and supervised by the manager. Keep up the good work !

The coffee here is the best we’ve had in Hartlepool ,strong and flavoursome.The service is excellent and the food ,from an English breakfast to lunchtime meals are very good . The best value on the Marina .

All we had here was a toastie each and a coffee for breakfast. Mine was a corned beef, onion & cheese melt on the recommendation of the server and my partner had a cheese, onion & tomato toastie. They were both absolutely excellent and the coffee was great too. Thanks very much we really enjoyed it.

Located at the marina, internal decor is very stylish and terrace to front is lovely. Delightful owner / staff. Great service levels. Super friendly. The Full English Breakfast was FAB. The skillet sizzler dish was also wonderful and huge ! Very competitively priced for quality of food and overall experience.

Dropped in for lunch with dog in tow. First time visiting Hartlepool and made the right choice in coming here. Had fish and chips and great value for money, see the other food coming out heightened the expectations (the pie looked awesome) and the food didn’t disappoint. If you are nearby can highly recommend. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced.

So after trying Tea and Scone went to try the Breakfast and well worth it!!! Both breakfasts were amazing and portion sizes were spot on. Toast was very nice and was nice to have an option of how you liked your eggs!!! Everything was perfectly cooked.

So went for a walk around the Marina and it was definitely fresh, saw lock gates was open and decided to stop for a warm drink. So as we walked in I spied Scone and a warm drink for a bargain price of £3.95. Service was very good and you can certainly tell why it gets so busy. Scones were amazing and drinks were excellent. Nice little spot in the window looking out saw a busy place but service never stopped. Will definitely be returning and will try a breakfast next time I think!!!
